Ignite Me: Shards of Glass, Part One

“I will have you arrested if you so much as even try to call her again! It's technically breaking the order! She's not fucking interested in you or who you're screwing around with! She's mine Hagen, stay away if you know what's good for you!”
I shivered, my fingers felt cold now.
“I've blocked that number, but I took a screen capture of it so I can make a note of it, my people might be able to trace it!” He leant forwards and rubbed me with his hands.
“It's okay now, he can't hurt you! I've got you, darling.”
I felt the warmth spread back through my veins. “Will he ever get the message that I've moved on?! He said he'd seen the video I posted, said I sounded different! He said he’d be waiting that he’d find me.” I let him guide back to laying down, only this time I shuffled around so I was lying curled into him.
His hands rubbed my back under the duvet. “Your part British it's only natural that your accent would soften given the fact you're with me! It's not a bad thing! Ignore him! He's just getting at you whatever way he can! I’ll be waiting for him, he’d make my year if he gave me an excuse to teach him some manners!”
I knew he was right, but it bugged me. He was the second person to say I was changing! Perhaps it was true, but the change was for the best! I wanted to be with Cameron, I wanted to be the woman I knew I could be. I didn't see the issue with growing up! That was what was happening! I was growing up, taking responsibility and falling in love!
I glanced up at Cameron, he wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my first real lover, best friend and sometimes my top. I grinned at him, I would still be very lonely and confused it wasn't for him.
“Sleep now darling! It's late.” He smiled at me as we lay facing each other.
I reached up with my hand and softly stroked his cheek. “You see me like no one else ever has, before you I was this ghost that nobody really saw, I was invisible and nobody understood my pain like you! We fill each other's gaps, and make each other whole!”
The shadows danced over his face as his cheek bones jutted upwards as he smiled, his fingers caressing my face.
“You're my little ghost, and we were made for each other! I will always see you my darling! You light up my entire existence! Sleep now or you'll miss our run!” He leant over me and kissed my cheek softly. “I love you, and I’ll always protect you. “
I closed my eyes. “Little ghost! I like that! I love you too.”
I felt so tired now. I knew we'd face whatever happened in New York together, but I was worried about Sean, I didn't want him to hurt Cameron but I knew staying away would solve nothing, I wanted my Dad and Jess to see that I wasn't the same girl that had gotten on that plane 3 months ago! I was so much more than that now. I was strong, and I'd learnt so much about myself all thanks to the man lying in bed next to me. My Cameron. He was mine and I was his, his little ghost. Nothing or no one would mess that up for me! I would protect what I loved at all costs.
