An Unconditional Love (BWWM Romance Book 1)

“We have lots of time. I’ve rented the house for a year. All you have to do is get well enough to get over there and then I have a feeling it will be easy for you to get back into climbing form.”
“What about your business. That’s an awfully long time for you to be away.” Lauren said, still mystified by Cole’s suggestion.
“I can do everything I need to remotely, and if I need to fly back every few months that’s a small price to pay to see you fulfill your dreams.”
“But what about your dreams?” She asked, worried that he might resent spending so much time away from the business.
“My dreams involve being with you. As long as we’re together I’ll be happy. So what do you say, do we have a plan?”
“I’m in. When do we leave?”
“Well, there is one more part of the deal that I haven’t told you about.” He said, a mischievous look in his eyes.
“I don’t like the look in your eyes. What are you up to now?” She asked, suddenly suspicious.
“The thing is, I don’t want to wait to get married. I want us to get married before we go. Just a small ceremony with our family and friends. If you want to have a big party we can do that after you climb Everest. Rebecca will be more than happy to throw us a huge party when we get back.”
“I think I like that idea. I never thought that I’d meet someone who could chase all the pain and anger from my childhood away, but you’ve managed to do just that. I love you Cole and I always will.”
“I love you too, Lauren. Now hurry up and get better so I can call you my wife.”
*****
It was a long process but in six weeks Lauren and Cole were ready to go. Lauren was nowhere near ready to climb Everest, but she could train in the little village where they would be staying. However before they could leave, Sadie and Rebecca had planned a lovely little wedding ceremony at the shop. Joe had worked his magic on the roof and turned the gazebo into something out of a fairytale.
Only family and close friends had joined them on the roof as the sun set, but Lauren was happy to have only those closest to them there. She was relieved to find that Cole’s father was happy for them, although a little disappointed they would be gone for so long. His mother seemed to understand what was happening and cried when the minister pronounced them man and wife.
Later that night they drove to Seattle since they had an early flight out the next day. Cole had booked them into the same room they’d stayed in on their first trip to the city. Lauren would have been happy anywhere, but Cole said that it was important that they stay there because it was there that Cole had realized he loved her.
Much to Cole’s dismay, Lauren had insisted they have separate rooms until they were married, so they’d been behaving like teenagers, kissing and petting but never taking it farther than that. As they rode the elevator to their room, Lauren found that she was suddenly nervous, as if this was going to be the first time she’d shared Cole’s bed.
But the minute they walked into the room all nervousness disappeared when it occurred to her that she too had realized that she loved Cole that night in this room. Suddenly feeling very sure of herself, she was determined to show him how much he meant to her. She wanted to make him feel good tonight, as good as he made her feel.
Before Cole could even set down their bags, she pulled him over to the big window that had a beautiful view of the city. Then she began to unbutton his shirt, placing kisses on his chest as it became exposed. When she found his nipple with her tongue and began to tease it, he sucked in a deep breath and tried to pull her mouth up to his.
But she had other plans, still teasing his nipples, first one then the other while her hands found his belt and quickly released his erection. He was hard and throbbing, the cold air causing goose bumps to rise on his muscular legs. Lauren took him in her hands and began to stroke him, causing Cole to growl deep in his throat.
She trailed kisses down his stomach, sinking down onto the floor on her knees in front of him. Her hand continued to stroke him, making him grow harder in her hands, then looking up at him, she slid him into her mouth. She slid her tongue around his hard length, loving the feeling of his smooth skin and little pulse of blood as it rushed through his penis.
Cole was beyond thought, he tangled his hands in her hair, gently pushing her head forward, rocking his hips as his rock hard cock slid into and out of her mouth. He was moaning and calling her name as he neared climax, tempted to let go and cum in her mouth, but at the last minute he stopped himself and pulled out of her mouth.
Pulling her to her feet, he said, “Not yet my love. We’ll save that for another day. It’s your turn.” Then he turned her around and began unbuttoning her dress. When the last button was undone, the dress slipped to the floor in a puddle of white, it was quickly followed by her slip and under garments. Lauren was left standing there only in her garter’s and hose, feeling incredibly sexy.
Cole reached around and dipped his hand between her legs, his finger finding he clit. He gasped when he felt how wet she was, her juices running down her legs, making her slick and inviting.
“I want to taste you.” He said, pushing her down on the couch and spreading her legs.
He kissed his way up one thigh, then down the other, never touching her core, only teasing her with his breath. Lauren was writhing with desire and anticipation, Cole’s teasing only making her wetter. Finally, he pushed her knees up and slid his tongue between her folds, sucking on her clit until the world was a spinning mass of color.
Lauren grabbed onto a fist full of Cole’s hair afraid that she was going to spin right off the Earth. But Cole’s tongue continued to lick, tease and suck at her most sensitive area until she knew that her orgasm wasn’t far off. The gentle pressure that had been building was quickly becoming a fire deep inside her.
“I want you to come for me Lauren, you taste so good.” Cole said, as his finger slid into her core, filling her as his tongue once again began its magic.
She moaned his name, the fire getting hotter and hotter, until she thought she was going to be burned alive. With his finger stroking in and out and his teeth teasing her clit, Lauren came with a force she’d never experienced before. Her body, clenching around his finger as hard waves of pleasure rocked though her.
As the spasms finally subsided, Cole stood up and gathered her in his arms and walked back to the bedroom. He laid her on the bed, then positioned himself between her legs. Eyes locked on hers, he slid inside her, burying himself in her wet, hot center.
“I love you Lauren, now and forever.” He said, as he began to move inside her.
“I love you too Cole.” She said, pulling his head down and kissing him.
Lauren wrapped her legs around him, loving the feeling of his hard body inside her. Each stroke reminding her that he was hers forever, hers to love until they were both old and gray. Cole had increased the pace of his strokes, driving deeper and harder into her until she thought she was ready to climax again, but before she could, Cole pulled out of her and flipped her onto her hands and knees.
He entered her in one hard stroke, making her cry out with the pleasure of him filling her deeper than ever before. Holding her hips in his strong hands, he drove himself into her over and over again. Lauren discovered that she liked this rougher side of Cole, this demanding, domineering man who could hurt her if he wanted, but restrained himself for her.
Cole buried himself deep inside her and ground himself into her, sending wave after wave of pleasure though Lauren, never had she let a man possess her this way, but Cole wasn’t just any man, he was her husband. That though alone nearly drove her over the edge, but Cole’s next move took her right over the edge.
He reached under them and found her clit, rubbing it as he slid in and out of her, his strokes gentle now. Lauren unable to withstand the double assault tumbled over the edge in a rush of pleasure that left her breathless. Cole feeling her body contract around his,
emptied himself inside her in a rush that left him breathless as well.
They collapsed onto the bed together, Cole spooning Lauren as they tried to recover their breath. Never before had Lauren felt this close to another human being, not Sadie, not even her mother and she truly understood what it meant to find the other half of herself.
“I love you Cole. I don’t think I was whole until I met you, only I didn’t know it. I think I’ve been searching for you everywhere.” She said, trying not to cry.
“I’ve been searching for you too. I’m glad we found each other and I’m never letting you go. I came too close to losing you once, I’m never going to let that happen again.” He said, equally emotional.
After a few minutes Lauren laughed, “Now that we’ve both had a good cry let’s go find something to eat I’m starving.”
“I knew that you’d be hungry, there’s food in the kitchen, but don’t be gone too long. I’ll miss you.” Cole said, kissing her. “And I have a few more things I’d like to try once I recover.”
“Hmm, I’m looking forward to that.” She said, getting out of bed. “But first food.”
Epilogue
Cole was sitting in the little café waiting for Lauren to return. It had been three weeks since he’d seen her, but thanks to new technology he’d been able to communicate with her almost the entire time she’d been climbing Everest.
He knew that she’d made it safely to the top and back to base camp. He’d expected her tonight but something must have held them back, as much as he’d supported her on the climb, he’d been a nervous wreck the entire time she’d been gone. The men in the village had teased him, asking what kind of man let his wife go off to climb a mountain while he sat safe in the village.
A husband who loved his wife and wanted her to be happy. She’d promised him that this would be her last big adventure, not that she’d stay out of the woods, but that she’d do nothing more dangerous than a camping trip in the mountains from now on.
Disappointed that he was going to bed alone again, Cole made his way to the little room they’d rented when they’d gotten there almost a month ago. He finally fell asleep hoping that Lauren would be home tomorrow, but early in the morning he felt a pair of cold feet on his legs.
Shooting up in the bed, he nearly knocked Lauren out of the bed. She was laughing as she held onto him. “What are you doing showing up in the middle of the night. Have you been hiking in the dark? Do you know how dangerous that is?”
“Relax Cole, I got a ride into town. I couldn’t wait to see you. I missed you so much. All I could think about the whole time was getting home to you.”
“I missed you too. I hate it when we’re separated.” He said, pulling her into the security of his arms.
“Never again. I’m done. I realized when I was up there that I’d been given a gift and I had no right to risk ruining it by putting my life in danger. I love you Cole, and I’ll never take the gift you’ve given me for granted again.”
“It’s you who’s given me a gift Lauren and I promise to cherish that gift for the rest of our lives.” Cole said, kissing her with all the pent up anxiety he’d been feeling.
“Make love to me Cole.” Lauren said, knowing that no matter what they faced, they’d do it together.

Chapter 1
Erica had mixed feelings as she and Daniel drove Emily to the airport on Wednesday evening. She was happy that she and Daniel were finally going to get some alone time but she was also sad that her sister was going back home. She interlaced her fingers with Emily’s as they slowly walked into the departures terminal.
“You know the weird thing is that I actually want to stay even though I have been the third wheel in this arrangement for a week,” Emily said with a smile. Erica looked at Daniel and felt herself blush. “Cassandra is going to have my head on a platter for leaving without telling her,” Emily added.
“So, you left without telling her?” Erica asked in disbelief. Emily shrugged.
“I only told her when I arrived…two days after I got here, actually,” Emily shrugged.
“Yeah, Cassandra is definitely going to have your head. You know she would have come, right?” she asked.
“Yeah, don’t rub in the whole ‘she’s her own boss thing’. I kind of know how it works,” Emily said rolling her eyes.
“You know you could stay, right?” Daniel asked.
Emily forced a smile and shook her head.
“Well, as much as I like being the odd one out, I really have to get back to my life. I have to look over some of the offers and actually accept one. Plus there is the little factor of having to deal with a few legal things,” she explained. Daniel shrugged. “But I would have loved to stick around and maybe try my hand at a charming Greek god,” she added winking at her sister.
“For some reason, I think those gods were…um…a bit small in size,” Erica frowned.
“Wait, are you talking about…” Daniel started before Erica nodded knowingly.
“Yes, that is exactly what I’m talking about,” she said, a naughty smile on her lips.
“Why?” Daniel asked as he put his hands over his ears. “I really don’t think this is something I should be hearing right now.”
“Well, like it or not, all the paintings and the structures kind of show all the men spotting some weirdly small cocks. I don’t think it’s all a coincidence,” Erica said. It was now Emily’s turn to frown.
“Well, I’m definitely off Greek men. For life,” she said.
“I was simply making an observation.”
Daniel looked at her and shook his head. “How I still find myself amazingly attracted you…I really do not get,” he said.
“I think I have the answer to that. Have you seen her ass?” Emily smiled.
“Emily!” Erica said a little too loudly. She was surprised that her sister would say that out loud. That was the kind of thing that you thought and never spoke of. She was now looking at a giggling Emily.
“What? It’s true. We Hayes women have always had an ass that would put J-Lo and Beyoncé to shame. We are the true definition of Bootylicious,” she said.
Erica shook her head. “I cannot believe we are having this conversation,” she said under her breath.
“Hey, that is exactly what I was feeling two minutes ago so welcome to my world,” Daniel said. There was a vengeful smile on his lips. None of them noticed the time flying by as they stood there until Emily looked at her phone and realized that it was time to check in.
“I really hate to break this up but I have to check in,” she said frowning. She took a step towards Daniel and threw her arms around him. “You take care of her, won’t you?” she asked as she hugged Daniel tightly.
/> “You know I will,” he said in a soft voice.
“And you better not fuck this up because I will kill you,” she added in a loud whisper, loud enough for Erica to hear.
“Then I better not fuck up,” he said as he pulled away from her. She looked at him and smiled before she threw her arms around her sister.
“I already miss you,” she said in a soft voice.
Even though Erica thought she was strong, her sister’s words touched a part of her she didn’t expect. Her eyes welled up as she held her sister in her arms.
“Hey, sympathetic crier here. Don’t make me turn on the water works,” Emily said as she rubbed her sister’s back. She pulled away and held her sister’s face in her eyes. “I’m really happy to see that you’re happy,” she said as she brushed off Erica’s tears.
“I am. I really, really am,” Erica said in a low voice.
“I know. You got a great one here. I would hold on to him if I were you,” Emily said.
Daniel smiled and nodded. “Words of a wise woman.”
“Trust me. I intend on doing it,” Erica said as Daniel slipped an arm around her waist.
“Do you have a layover?” Daniel asked. Emily looked at her boarding pass and nodded.
“Yup. I will be in Paris for eight hours. I can’t wait to go shopping. Avenue Montaigne and The Marais, here I come,” Emily said excitedly. She looked into Erica’s eyes and hugged her again before she pulled back and smiled. “Guess I better get going, huh?” she said and Erica nodded.
“Yeah. Call me as soon as you get to Paris, when you leave and when you land in Philly,” Erica said.
“Yes mother,” Emily said shaking her head and rolling her eyes at Daniel. “How do you do it?” she whispered to Daniel before she walked away, her luggage in hand.
“I do it because I love her,” Daniel thought as he planted a kiss on Erica’s head. “Ready to go?” he asked. Erica was still looking at her sister who had just walked through the gates. Erica made a weird noise, something that made Daniel realize that she was the kind of person who liked looking at someone until they disappeared in the horizon. “Come on, standing here is not going to make it any easier on you,” he added as he led her out.
