So, that left me with her reincarnation.
The epilogue tore at my gut. I want Thane to be happy, but who could replace Bella?
No one, in my opinion.
BUT… what if she wasn’t replaced?
Izzy and Bella share the same soul. They are unique individuals, while also being (at their heart) the same. I’d like to think that Thane didn’t lose Bella forever. She came back to him. Only, this time, she’s in the form of an intelligent grad student who will be fascinated with Thane’s history and knowledge of the world. Something tells me they have a very happy future ahead of them.
In addition to Thane’s complex situation, I wanted to use Endured to show Des and Darcie remained deeply connected and dedicated to one another, while also revealing they weren’t perfect. They had to overcome A LOT during the main series before they were able to be together, but that didn’t mean they wouldn’t face challenges in the future.
I wanted their relationship to be raw and relatable. That doesn’t mean it isn’t genuine and fated, just that all good things have their struggles, and it takes a truly strong and meaningful relationship to conquer those issues and stay together. Which, of course, they do. <3
Anyway, enough rambling. I truly hope you enjoyed Thane’s story. Stay tuned for Gregory’s story, titled Envied. It will be available in a paranormal boxset in August and available as a solo title late Fall 2018.
