Love, Lies and Wedding Cake_The Perfect Laugh-Out-Loud Romantic Comedy

Page 27

by Sue Watson

So a scattering of confetti to the lovely ‘wedding planners’ at Bookouture – huge thanks to Oliver Rhodes, Claire Bord, Isobel Akenhead, Emily Ruston, Jade Craddock, Lauren Finger, Jane Donovan and all the other wonderful publishing people involved. Fresh rose petals to Kim Nash, publicity queen and maid of honour, for her support, wisdom and friendship always.

Wedding favours to my wonderful friends who are always so understanding when my writing prevents me from attending book club/wine club/cocktail club/coffee club/shopping club/girls’ night in club/girls’ night out club… and any other ‘clubs’ we come up with as a blatant excuse to get together.

Wedding bouquets to my mum, who doesn’t hear from me for days when I’m ‘in edits’ but is always on the end of the phone when I need her. A huge slice of wedding cake to my daughter Eve for being fabulous and for showing me the life-changing ‘synonyms thingie’ on my computer. And a special thank you to my lovely, long-suffering husband, Nick Watson, my groom of many years. He’s always in the firing line when I have a book on the go and tells me he often feels like he’s living in The Shining – and I’m Johnny!

But the first dance and final word goes to Kat Everett, my good friend, fellow book lover/blogger, international businesswoman and global nail diva, who has, for several years, demanded a sequel to Faye’s story. Here you go, sweet cheeks!
