Tango Love

“Just make me your maid of honour.”

Her words were still ringing in her ears as she walked towards James. They both stopped and stood about a metre apart.

She opened her mouth but nothing came out. Her throat was as dry as sandpaper. She gave a small cough and tried again.

“Hi, how are you?” Well now that was intelligent, she thought.

A small smile spread across James’s face. God he was handsome.

“Hi yourself and I’m doing better now.”

Melinda couldn’t help it, she laughed. They sounded like a couple of dorky teenagers on a first date.

“How about we head home?” She suggested.

For an answer James grabbed her hand and they started walking down the street. Warmth enveloped her and she hadn’t realised how empty she had been until that moment.

She wanted to be in closer contact to him, so she slipped her hand out of his and wrapped her arm around his waist. She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed in contentment.

Before she knew, it they were standing on the doorstep of her house. She made a move to get her keys out of her purse, but James was already prepared and had his key in the lock.

As she waited for him to unlock the door, Melinda was trying to get her head around the conversation they were about to have. Although, what she really wanted to do was jump his bones. It had been way to long since she’d last lost herself in his arms and she wanted to feel that way again.

He got the door open and stood back so she could enter before him. Her heart rate increased. Was he going to say he had feelings for her? Or was he going to let her down gently? No, she wasn’t going to believe he wanted to break things off. His actions Friday night and his delight at seeing her at the café today showed her he must care a little.

Melinda had no time to think after that. She’d no sooner walked through the door when it was slammed shut. She turned to see what had caused it and any question she may have wanted to ask James, died in her throat.

His eyes were blazing. Talking was the last thing on his mind. Melinda took a step and he took a step, then he swept her up in his arms.

His lips assaulted hers. She should’ve been shocked with the aggressive nature of his kiss but it was what she’d wanted too so she matched him with some aggression of her own.

His hands pushed up her sweater. They broke off the kiss, breathing heavily as she lifted her arms so that he could pull it off. Melinda returned the favour and ripped off his shirt. Hot skin on hot skin. Her hands roamed over his strong back as they went back to kissing each other.

She wanted to climb inside of him. But that couldn’t happen, what could happen was he could bury himself deep inside of her instead.

Her hands reached for the button fly of his jeans. There was nothing sexier than a guy wearing button fly jeans. His thick cock was straining against the metal buttons. His breath hissed through his teeth as the back of her fingers brushed it. Finally she had them all undone and he helped her to push his jeans and boxers down.

Melinda took his long length in her hands. His shaft was silky smooth. She started to stroke it up and down, like he’d shown her the night they’d spent together. His groan of appreciation told her she was doing it right. James had made her weak at the knees on numerous occasions, now it was time to return the favour.

She dropped to her knees and started a slow exploration of his cock with her tongue. She started from the bottom and licked upwards, swirling her tongue around his shiny head. She repeated the action a few times and by the way he was pushing against her she knew he wanted her to take him in her mouth. Melinda held off, wanting to torment him a little longer.

She took each of his balls in her mouth and gave them a little suck.

“Oh God, Mel, that feels so good.”

It felt so good to do it to him and hear him enjoying her ministrations. After one final suck each she kissed her way back up and then took his head in her mouth, licking the pearl of semen that had escaped. She then started to suck in earnest. Up and down she went, flicking his tip, with her tongue, every now and then. He tasted so good and she wanted more.

She increased her movements and didn’t flinch when James’s fingers clenched in her hair. His moans were getting louder and suddenly she was pulled away from his throbbing length.

“Enough,” he groaned, sounding agonised as if she was killing him, not sucking him off. “I don’t want this over before it’s truly begun.”

Lost as she was in the sensual haze she had created, one part of her brain was still sane.

“Shouldn’t we talk before we go any further?”

Melinda couldn’t believe the words came out of her mouth. The same mouth that only seconds ago had been driving him crazy. Why didn’t she just douse him in cold water? What she’d just said was enough to kill the passion in anyone. How could she forget the golden rule, “guys don’t like to talk”.

“Later Melinda. We’ll talk later. Right this minute I just want to lose myself in you.”

He pulled her from her position on her knees and held her close. They stood there for a few moments, James totally naked and her standing in only her bra and jeans.

She leaned back and looked into his eyes, “Something’s wrong with this picture.”

Melinda stepped out of her jeans, pulling her g-string off at the same time. She then reached behind to unclip her bra. Her breasts spilled out and James’s eyes widened at the sight of their lush fullness. She took his hand and led him to the bedroom.

She climbed onto the bed and crawled backwards until she was resting against the pillows. She held out her arms to him, inviting him into her warm embrace.

He took the invitation and laid his body on top of hers. His throbbing cock rested at her wet entrance. Melinda lifted her hips in invitation and he entered her. Like Friday night, she loved this face-to-face contact they shared. It was so intimate. So real.

She had gotten extremely excited sucking him off, knowing that he was enjoying everything she had been doing to him. She knew, being so aroused, that it would only take a couple of strokes before she totally lost control and burst around him, but she wanted it to last. This connection between them was more special than the other night. This was the start of their life together, she was sure of it.

All coherent thought left her as James started to stroke her. His cock was like a piston as he fired in and then out. After a few quick strokes, he would slow the pace and push languidly into her, drawing the moment out. She was on fire, writhing beneath him, her release so close but amazingly he was able to suspend that final moment.

He pulled out and paid attention to her breasts. Her nipples were puckered in desire. He took the left one in his mouth. Laving it with his tongue. He used his other hand to massage her right breast. The combination of the massaging and the sucking pushed her over the edge and she came in quick bursts, all the while his cock was resting on her belly.

She could feel him smiling around her breasts.

“You are amazing,” she told him. “I’ve never been turned into mush as many times as I have with you.”

  “There’s more to come.”

She knew he meant it and even though she didn’t think she could stand anything else, she knew she probably would.

Again he entered her. She was even wetter than before because of her recent orgasm, which only heightened her responses to his penetration.

Melinda could tell by how quickly he upped the pace that his release was imminent. She could feel her own orgasm building again. One stroke and then another, his loud cry mingled with her own as they both pulsed around each other.

She wanted to blurt out that she loved him but was still scared with how he would respond.

  “I love you, Melinda.”

Her breathing stopped. She pushed at James so that he sat back a bit and she could look into his eyes. A slow smile spread across her face. It was then she realised that he had kept a piece of him from her. The eyes
didn’t lie. It was all there for her to see. He was laying his heart open with that one look.

She raised her hand to his face and softly brushed her fingers down his cheek, letting the love she felt flood through her and into him.

  “I love you too, James.”

Melinda pulled his head down for a kiss. It was funny, how the moment you share those three magical words with someone, kissing takes on a whole different persona.

When they finally emerged for air and James pulled out of her, she knew then why their lovemaking had felt so different.

“We didn’t use a condom,” she murmured.

“Shit.” James ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry Mel, I should’ve been more careful. But I swear to you I’m clean.”

“James, it’s fine. I’m on the pill and, like you, I’m clean too. But what happens now?”

“You’re right we need to talk, but not here. In bed with you is too distracting.”

Two hours later they were curled up on the couch together, nursing a glass of wine each. James had suggested they shower together to save water. Melinda thought they’d probably wasted more water than they’d saved. He had more than fulfilled the fantasies she’d had that morning about sharing the shower in the hallway bathroom with him. She couldn’t wait to try out the Jacuzzi in her bathroom.

But now the time had come to talk. There was a lot they needed to talk about. Taking a fortifying sip of wine, Melinda asked the question that had been plaguing her since she had woken up alone the previous day.

“Where did you go yesterday? What was the emergency? Why didn’t you come home?”

He took a few moments before he answered, her heart skipping a beat with each passing second of silence. “There was no emergency. I woke up with you in my arms and experienced a sense of completeness, something I’d never felt before. The realisation scared the hell out of me. I had no idea how you felt and I was scared of looking in your eyes when you woke and seeing regret in them. So I ran. Cowardly of me, I know, but I just couldn’t face that.” He looked sheepish as he continued on. “I spent last night on my parents couch, after walking around for hours thinking. Hoping and praying that I hadn’t blown things with you.”

There was only brutal honesty in his tone. She was surprised he had been so nervous about her reaction. He had always seemed so confident around her. He’d hidden his feelings from her like a champion.

“Oh James, if you’d stayed you would have seen no regrets at all. It was the best night of my life too. But I was scared as well. I had no idea how you felt about me and when I woke up and you were nowhere to be seen I felt used.”

“Never used, sweetheart, never. I’m so sorry I made you feel that way.” He gave her a brief kiss on the lips. “I’ve wanted you from the moment I walked through that door for my housemate interview. Before you even spoke I wanted to kiss you senseless and I hoped you would accept my application.”

Melinda shook her head in disbelief. He had wanted her for as long as she had wanted him.

“We’ve wasted all this time together,” she lamented.

“No Mel, it wasn’t wasted. It just wasn’t the right time for us. It killed me the first night I heard you bring some guy home. I wanted to barge into your room, pick him up and throw him out. But I knew I could never do that. I may have desired you but I had no idea if it was reciprocated.”

“We’re a right pair aren’t we? The first time you bought someone home I wanted to scratch her eyes out.” Melinda finally admitted to herself and out loud. She may have told herself it didn’t matter but deep down it had crushed her.

“You rock my world, Mel. I can’t think of anyone I want more. Your eyes sparkle when you laugh. Do you know I’ve loved the last couple of months when we’ve sat at home on a Saturday night chowing down on takeaway? You have no idea how many times I wanted to take you on this very couch.”

“I wouldn’t have objected. Or I wouldn’t have objected to you sweeping me into a tango like you did at the club. By the way, where did you learn to tango? The first time you caught me twirling around this room and I asked if you wanted to join me, you told me you had two left feet.”

Melinda was amazed when she saw colour burst out over James’s cheeks. She’d never seen him blush until that very moment. She felt something momentous was about to happen.

“I took lessons and have been waiting for my moment to show you. When I saw you exchanging looks with that guy I knew then that I had to make my move. I knew I wouldn’t be able to stand idly by and watch him put his hands all over you. I had to take a risk and I could have crashed and burned or I could have won.”

“You won, there is no doubt about that. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything with that guy. I may have thought I could’ve but when it came down to the crunch, I’d have walked away.” She reached up and kissed him softly on the lips, then pulled away to whisper. “You had my heart, even though you didn’t know it.”

They kissed again and the kiss they shared was a mutual exploration filled with love. She opened wider and let his tongue sweep in and duel with hers. She ran her fingers through his hair, loving the feel of the rich softness of it. It then dawned on her that this was her man. The one man the universe had chosen solely for her.

“I love you James, don’t ever doubt that.”

“And don’t ever doubt that I love you, Melinda. My life has been richer for knowing you these last two years. I don’t think I can imagine you not in it. I think I’d die if anything happened to you.”

Melinda didn’t think anyone could get any more sincere than James at that very moment. He was a guy literally laying his life on the line for her.

“So I guess that means that there will be only one person sharing your bed now?” she asked.

He laughed and pulled her tighter into his embrace. “Absolutely. Guess we’d better make it official.”

Melinda’s heart stopped, did he mean he wanted to move into her room or was he hinting at something more.

“What are you trying to say?”

She gasped out loud as he slid from the couch to the ground and got on bended knee. She held her breath when she saw him reach into his pocket. Surely he couldn’t be thinking about proposing. They’d only just declared their feelings to each other. What would she say if he did propose? How did she feel?

He touched her, his fingers feathering across her knee, sending shivers of arousal through her.

“Live with me, Melinda,” James said as he opened his hand and lying in his palm was the key to the front door of her house.

  Melinda burst out laughing. “Definitely.”

James let out a yell of triumph as he pulled her up and into his arms. She went willingly, she didn’t think she’d ever get tired of being held by him.

They shared another kiss when another thought hit her. “I have a condition to living with you.”

“A condition?” he asked puzzled at her request.

She could understand the look. She’d never placed any conditions on their living arrangements before. But she had a feeling he wouldn’t mind this particular one. “I expect to share more than just one tango with you.”

James laid a soft kiss on her lips. She shivered in anticipation of what she was sure was to follow.

“A lifetime of them babe, a lifetime.”
