Too Good

The rest of our flight was silent, aside from my trying to convince Harper to join the mile high club. We landed in Nassau a little after eight AM the next morning. Our phones were dead, but I promised Harper that we'd plug them in as soon as we made it to our hotel. She wasn't happy about it, but she agreed.

We checked in, and as I unloaded our bags, Harper dug through her purse for the phone chargers. As soon as she was able to power her phone on, she checked her call logs, and text messages. “Well, we won't be sharing an anniversary with our niece, and nephew.” She said, grinning from ear to ear. “Zoe gave birth just after midnight.” Waving me over excitedly, I couldn't help but smile back. “Aren't they precious?” She asked, angling the phone so that I could see the picture. “Ava, and Ethan Granger.”

“I still can't believe that Wes, is a father.” I laughed. “I'm going to give him a call after I order some room service, I'm starving.”

“Husband.” Harper warned. “It's nearly seven AM back home.”

“You make a valid point Wife.” I said, pulling her into my arms. “You know what? On second thought, breakfast can wait. I've always been more of a dessert kind of man anyways.” I winked.

She bit her bottom lip, her eyes locking on mine. “Lucky for you, I happen to feel the same way.” The look in her eyes changed then, and before I could guess what she was doing, she slipped from my arms, and ran towards the bathroom. “Last one in has to do all the inventory when we get home!” She called out, as she tossed off her shirt.

“Two things.” I said when I jogged around the corner, and into the bathroom. “You cheated. And, I always do the inventory.”

“So what are you saying?” She asked, shimmying out of her shorts, and panties. “That there are no real winners here?”

“Judging by my view, I'm pretty sure I've already won.” I said, as I removed my own clothes.

“You always know exactly what to say don't you?” She asked, opening the shower door, and turning on the water.

“What can I say? You make a good muse Sweetheart?”

When the water was adjusted to the right temperature, I followed her inside the over sized shower. It had two seats, and a shower head at either end. One knob controlled the temperature for both, so neither person would be in that awkward position of being cold. I watched, as she wet her long hair. The water droplets were rolling down her skin, and I leaned down to capture one from her nipple. She giggled, wrapping her arms around my neck when I moved closer.

“Have I told you how much I love you lately?” She asked on a sigh.

“Have I told you how glad I am, that you finally let me love you?” I countered, kissing the tip of her nose.

“Once, or twice.” She smiled, standing up on her tip toes to kiss me. I used her kiss as an invitation, and lifted her onto the bench directly behind her. The height was just right, and without any warning, I slipped myself into her waiting pussy. The water, and her arousal making it an easy transition. Her back was pressed against the cool tile, and my hands were on either side of her ass, angling her hips just right.

I thrust into her slowly, letting her get used to the position, but soon, she was pulling me closer, needing me to go deeper. I obliged, increasing my speed, and gripping her ass even tighter. She moaned whenever my erection hit the back of her pussy. I buried myself in her, stopping, and staying there for a while, using the break to claim her lips. My cock twitched inside of her, and I felt her shiver around me. “Tell me what you want Sweetheart.” I whispered gently against her lips.

“Cole!” She begged on a whimper, her hands moving to my hair, and giving it a tug.

“You know how this works baby.” I said, thrusting into her once again. “Tell. Me. What. You. Want.” I gritted out, before nipping at her bottom lip.

“You don't play fair.” She breathed out. Dropping her hands from my hair, she grasped the back of my neck, locking her eyes on mine. “Make me cum.” She whispered.

I liked to mess with her, to make her blush, but the way that she just demanded me to make her cum was the sexiest God damn thing in the world. I didn't wait. I did exactly as she asked, moving my cock in, and out, hitting her g spot with every thrust. I could feel her tightening around me, and it took everything I had not to lose control. I always made sure she came first. I was a gentleman after all. When her moans grew louder, and her nails began to dig into my neck, I slammed into her harder, and faster. Within seconds, she was falling apart all around me, and she took me right along with her.

We rode our orgasms out together, resting our foreheads on one other, until our breathing became somewhat normal again. “Marriage, officially consummated.” I said, raising my eyebrows.

“You're such an idiot.” She laughed, giving me a little shove.

I kissed her, before helping her down from the bench. Her legs were shaky, so I snaked an arm around her, pulling her under the spray of the water. We stood there, holding each other, letting the water drip down our bodies. Nothing could have been better. I turned then, reaching for the bottle of shampoo on the ledge behind me. I faintly felt her hand brush against my back, over my scar. She did that sometimes, when she was lost in her feelings, or feeling guilty. She hugged me from behind then, placing a soft kiss where her hand had just been. “I love you.” She whispered, her head resting against my back.

“I love you too Sweetheart.” I reassured her, grabbing her hands, to loosen her grip so that I could face her. “The past can't hurt either of us anymore.”

“I know that now. You made me believe that, and you helped me believe in myself.”

“See? I told you we should have wrote our own vows. We would have killed it!” I winked.

“There's always next time.” She said, shrugging her shoulders.

“Are you asking for a spanking Sweetheart?”

  “Maybe.”

I shut the water off then, picking her up, and tossing her over my shoulder. She squealed, as I carried her dripping body towards the bed. I gave her a nice smack on the ass, before gently tossing her onto the bed. “Cole!” She yelled, trying to contain her laughter. “We're soaking wet!”

“That's what housekeeping is for.” I said, crawling up the length of her body. “Now, about this next time.”

  Epilogue One year Later

“Harper, this flower crown is absolutely adorable! Thank you again for making it for Ava.” Zoe said, placing the small creation on the one year old's head. “It's perfect for her first birthday photos.”

“Of course! I still can't believe the twins are a year old already.”

“What about you, and Cole? You've been married for an entire year.”

“And it's been the best year of my life.” I chimed in, coming to stand beside Harper.

“Speak of the devil.” Zoe said, rolling her eyes. “Didn't you two just celebrate yesterday?”

“Some of us enjoy spending time with our wives Zoe. Do you need me to talk to Wes?”

“Fuck off!” Wes yelled from the backyard. He was taping balloons to the picnic tables in preparation for the party. “Get over here and help me with these damn things!”

“Damn things!” Gabriel yelled, as he rushed by us. “Balloons!”

“Wes!” Evie yelled. “You just wait until your kids start speaking. I'm going to make sure I teach them all kinds of colorful words.”

“No she won't.” Jake said, placing his hand on the small of her back. “Don't mind her, she hasn't been feeling like herself lately.”

“Don't apologize for me.” She snapped, turning to face him. “Sorry.”

“Evie?” Zoe asked, eyeing her suspiciously. “Are you pregnant?”

Before she had the chance to answer, the smile on Jake's face gave it away. He may have been able to run special ops in the army, but keeping secrets from his sister? Not so much.

“Congratulations!” Zoe, and Harper said in unison, as they rushed towards the couple for hugs.

“What the hell Harper? You told the
m?” I asked, just catching the tail end of the conversation. “I thought we were going to wait until we were sure. You made me promise not to say anything.”

“Cole, I didn't say anything. Evie's pregnant.” Harper said, with an awkward smile.

“Fuck.” I said, instantly feeling like an asshole.

“Fuck!” Gabriel yelled, as he came running towards me.

“Gabriel!” Evie yelled, making everyone laugh.

“What did I miss?” Wes asked, approaching our small group with Ethan on his hip.

“Well.” Zoe said glancing around. “Evie's pregnant, and Harper, and Cole have a secret that he thinks she spilled but she didn't. And now, they're about to tell us their secret because the proverbial cat is kind of out of the bag.”

Everyone's eyes were locked on Harper, and I, waiting for some kind of explanation to my little outburst. I cleared my throat, reaching for Harper's hand. “I guess now is a good a time as any.” I said nervously.

“Are you pregnant too?” Evie asked, excitedly.

“Um, no. Not exactly.” Harper said nervously.

  “You're adopting?” She asked.

“Would you let the woman talk Evie.” Jake said, giving Harper a small smile. “Sorry about that Harper, go ahead, take your time.”

I could tell that she was uncomfortable with being put on the spot like this, so I took the lead on the conversation. “We applied for our foster licenses.” I said, ripping the band-aid off. “We thought we'd be denied because of my felony, but due to the circumstances in which I received it, a judge was able to override it.”

“What do you mean override it? Like it's gone? It never happened?” Wes asked.

  “In a nut shell? Yes.”

“So you're planning on becoming foster parents? I thought you guys didn't even want kids?”

“We don't.” Harper said. “I mean, we don't want to have children of our own, and we don't plan on fostering young children. We want to help the kids who no one wants. The teenagers that always get passed over, or sent to places like Vanessa, and I were in.”

“That's a very noble cause.” Jake said.

“But?” I asked, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

“But. Teens are hard. You yourself know how hard it is being passed around from home, to home. One of the kids you help could come to you straight from Juvie.”

“I was in Juvie.” Evie said. “And look at me. I'm a pediatrician now. Having the right people in your corner really does make all the difference Jake. I think it's great. I'm happy for your both, and I wish you the best of luck.”

“Thank you Evie.” Harper said, pulling her in for a hug. “And, congratulations again.”

“Well, it looks like we have a lot more than the twins' birthday to celebrate today!” Zoe said. “The six of us have come a long way, over the last few years, but I couldn't ask for a better family.”

“Remember when you hated me?” Evie asked.

“She hated me too.” Harper said.

  “Me too.” Wes added.

“Yeah, Zoe was kind of a bitch.” Jake said, nudging his sister.

  “You're all assholes.” Zoe said.

“Ash holes!” Gabriel yelled, clapping his hands in delight.

I've always thought of Wes as family. He's been my brother for as long as I can remember, but today was the first time that I actually saw Jake, and Evie in that same way. When Harper and I first started seeing each other, everyone was skeptical. Wes, and Jake assumed she was using me to help Vanessa in some way, and the girls were kind of indifferent. But when she was taken, that was when everyone saw what she really meant to me. I wasn't able to keep the facade of tough guy up any longer. That's when everyone's opinion changed. That's when they welcomed her into their lives as if she'd always been there.

I was doing things now that I never imagined I would. Violet's are Blue did so well in it's first six months, that Harper and I opened up two more in surrounding cities. We did weddings, baby showers, photo shoots, you name it. Harper designed all of the arraignments herself, and I found that I really enjoyed the business aspect of it. Making decisions, crunching numbers, I was good at it, and together we made a great team.

Ten year old me thought about the future and saw nothing. That's one of the main reasons Harper, and I wanted to foster older kids. We've both been there, and somehow we both came out stronger. Neither of us ever thought we'd find love, least of all get married. But, here we were, proving that if we can pull ourselves from the darkness, and find the light, anyone can.

“What are you thinking about?” She asked, looping her arm around my waist.

“The future.” I sighed, kissing the top of her forehead.

“Yeah? And how does it look?”

  “Pretty damn perfect.”
