Once everyone else was far enough out of earshot, Ian tapped the edge of the table, grinning at me. “Well?” he asked. “Shall we head upstairs?”
I had no idea why he thought surprising Felice in her room was a good idea. What if she and Lucien were gone a while? What if she and Lucien came back to the room with the intent to be together? Ian had told me not to call it lovemaking, but…
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” I asked, standing along with him. “Felice probably needs time to gather her thoughts—”
“She’ll need time to relax, and we are going to help her do just that.”
I wasn’t sure how sex could help her relax, but I supposed a good bodily workout would tire her out. At this point, I had no idea where my stamina was at. Even though a part of me was against Ian’s idea, I knew I did agree to it—but another part of me was for it. I wanted Felice. I wanted to touch her, to hold her, to have her whisper things into my ear and make that noise stop.
Thump, thump, thump.
When we reached Felice’s room, Ian went to lounge on her bed, kicking off his shoes and his socks. He wore no belt, his shirt untucked as it usually was. I leaned on the closet doors, reaching for my glasses and cleaning them with my shirt, an anxious habit.
Okay, I was always anxious. That much was true.
“I’m debating on undressing,” Ian mused, his gaze on the ceiling. Outside a dark world sat, a world of night. “If she walks in here and sees me splayed out on her bed like a cat, I don’t think she’ll be able to resist.”
I chuckled as I put my glasses back on. Ian was…well, he was Ian. You couldn’t take anything he said seriously. “Like a cat?”
Ian turned his head to me. His blonde hair was even messier when he laid down, shaggy around his face. “Yes. She seems to like Midnight well enough.”
It shouldn’t have surprised me that he said that, but it did. Was he truly comparing himself to Midnight, a cat? For the love of God… “I hope she doesn’t view either of us the same way she views the cat.”
Rolling onto his stomach, Ian propped himself up on his elbows. “You’re probably right.”
Probably? I was definitely right. If she viewed us as she did Midnight, there was no point in being here. We’d get a few pets, maybe a few cuddles, and then we’d be on our way. No…uh, sex.
Sex.
It’d been a long time since I’d been able to think about that. The constant noise in my head made for an unwelcome distraction to everything that would normally make a life worthwhile. Sex, love, complacency. I hadn’t felt nor wanted any of it for so long. I literally just wanted the noise to stop, and now that I’d found a woman whose touch made it cease, how could I look the other way? How could I not want to sweep her into my arms and feel those soft lips on mine again?
Madness. It was truly madness, I knew, yet I couldn’t change it. I’d been curious about Felice before, but now…now I was outright drawn to her.
Ian got to his feet, sauntering over to me with a glint in his blue stare. “You’re not nervous, are you?” he asked. “You remember what we talked about, don’t you?”
I resisted my urge to groan. “Yes, Ian, I remember, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t.” Of course I was. Wasn’t he? If Felice gave into us, it would be the first time she’d be with us both. As far as I knew, neither of us had been with her in that capacity before.
“As long as you just relax, everything will be fine,” Ian said, reaching for my shirt, the top button, no less. “Now, as I told you, there will probably be some touching—” He carried on as he began to unbutton my shirt.
I blinked and set a hand on his chest, pushing him away. “What are you doing?”
“Trying to help you undress and relax, since you seem as stiff as a rod.” Ian flashed his teeth, smiling ear to ear. “Stiff. Get it?”
Oh, God. Yes, I understood. Yes, I knew the word stiff could be used for many things, most prominently the slight hardness I saw pressing against Ian’s trousers. Probably because he knew Felice would return anytime now.
This was really going to happen, wasn’t it? I was a strange mixture of excited and nervous.
“I can undress myself, thank you,” I said, not wanting to undress until after Felice got here. Until after she expressed her desire for us. We couldn’t exactly pounce on her with our cocks hanging out, could we?
Well, I supposed we could, but that wasn’t something I wanted to do.
“Fine, fine,” Ian threw up his hands. “Here I thought I’d be a gentleman and help you, get you used to me touching you, since I assume you’ve never been with another man before—”
“This is about Felice, not me—”
“Yes, but threesomes are better when everyone is touching everyone else,” Ian spoke as if he was a master at said threesomes, as if having more than one person in his bed was normal. Maybe it was, maybe before he’d stumbled onto Grimmstead grounds, but not for a while. “No discrimination. It’s all about the pleasure, Dagen.”
All about the pleasure. That much I believed. Still, it was somewhat difficult for me to grasp the fact that Ian might be touching me as well as Felice. He’d warned me of it before, but now it suddenly felt so much more real.
“I—” I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to say, but it turned out I didn’t have to say anything, because it was at that moment when Felice walked into her room, nearly jumping out of her skin when she saw us in her room. Lucien wasn’t with her, luckily.
“God,” she exclaimed, moving to hold her injured hand above her heart, as if we’d truly given her a fright. “You guys need to stop doing that. I can only take so much creeping, you know.”
I swore, I could feel my skin turn as pale as Payne’s right then. “I thought you were with Payne?”
Felice shrugged. “He wanted to be alone, so I let him. Lucien decided to hover near his room like some kind of fly on the wall, probably hoping to catch him doing something bad.” She paused as she realized where Ian and I were, and that Ian’s shoes and socks were on the ground. Her stare then moved to the undone button near my neck. “What…what are you two doing in here?”
Somehow I had the feeling that we came to seduce you wasn’t the right thing to say.
Luckily, Ian knew just how to respond. He flashed his dimpled grin at her, saying, “Dagen and I wanted some alone time with you. Lucien’s been getting a monopoly on your time, and frankly, we don’t think it’s fair.”
Felice must’ve either been oblivious to his true meaning or didn’t want to see it. “What are you talking about? I see you two all the time. I—” Any other words she might’ve said halted when Ian moved closer to her.
“You know I didn’t mean it like that,” Ian whispered, his voice no longer sarcastic or glib, but a type of serious I’d never heard from him before.
Felice’s tawny cheeks flushed, and her eyes darted to me. “Dagen, are you involved in this too?” For whatever reason, me being in cahoots with Ian seemed too far-fetched for her to believe, and I couldn’t blame her. It was kind of ridiculous.
But…also kind of enticing.
“I am,” I said, admitting it because there was no point in lying. No point whatsoever.
Felice bit her bottom lip before shaking her head. “I don’t understand you guys. I didn’t think…”
“Didn’t think what?” Ian prodded.
“I didn’t think you two were friends,” she finished, looking between us.
I was about to tell her we weren’t friends, not really—more like acquaintances—but once again Ian leaped to answer, “It’s hard not to be friends with someone when you’ve lived under the same roof as them for an eternity. Well, either friends or enemies. Fortunately for you, Dagen’s on my side.”
Felice cocked a brow, holding her uninjured hand on her hip. “And what side is that?”
Ian said nothing right away as he went to close her door, throwing the latch to the lock before returning to her side. “The side that’s seducing
you, of course. Unless you have any board games hidden in here. It’s been a long time since I’ve played with anything or anyone but myself—”
Her cheeks flushed, as did mine at his words. How could Ian say things like that so nonchalantly? It was a power I did not have, one I didn’t particularly want.
“Ian,” Felice gasped.
“What? It’s true, and you know I’ve been dying to have you—to really have you—since that first day I laid eyes on you in Lucien’s office. The way you were snooping while trying to look innocent, I felt a tingle in my cock and I knew right then I must have you.”
Felice laughed. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with you.”
“I could name a few things,” Ian said, pointing to me. “Dagen could always help you, too.”
If I wasn’t blushing before, I certainly was now. Within a moment, Felice was before me, giving me a smile that warmed my insides and made me forget all about the sound. It was still there, but she was enough to blast it away, even without touching me, and when those slender fingers grazed my skin, the noise would vanish completely.
I needed it gone, but I also needed her.
“Are you sure, Dagen?” she questioned, giving me a serious look combined with a full, luscious mouth.
“Yes,” I said, barely able to get the word out. “I want…I want you, and not just because you make the noise stop. You’re…” I felt like an idiot, stumbling over my words as if I’d never seen a beautiful woman before. And, before her, maybe I hadn’t. It became harder and harder to remember my life before.
Actually, I didn’t. There was only the here and now. Her, me, and Ian.
“You’re everything,” I murmured, meaning it. Lucien was right, of course. Felice was connected to us, to this place, and we, in turn, were just as connected to her. To fight it was useless. To give in was inevitable. To be with her would be heaven.
Heaven. Never thought I’d use a word like that while in Grimmstead.
Ian had moved behind her, placing her in between us. He set his hands on her upper arms, squeezing gently against the fabric. “Let us worship you as you should be worshipped,” he whispered, leaning to nuzzle against her neck.
She let out a pleased sound, and her eyes were slow to shut. Felice spoke softly, “It has been a rough week.”
Thank goodness Ian was taking the lead here, for he had a reply ready: “Then let us make it easier.” He said nothing else, though his hands did release her arms, moving to her back. There they gripped the zipper of her dress.
Felice’s dark eyes moved to me, almost unblinking as Ian began to unzip her. I didn’t know if she was watching me because she wanted to see my reaction or for another reason, but I did feel a warming in my gut when her dress fell off her shoulders and pooled on the floor.
She was…the word amazing didn’t quite cut it.
As Ian bent to unzip her boots, helping her out of them one at a time, along with the tall white socks underneath, I couldn’t stop staring. I’d known her body was slim, curvy around the edges, but I didn’t realize how spectacular she was, how jaw-droppingly beautiful she was without that grey dress clinging to ninety percent of her skin.
It would be impossible to stare at her and not lose myself in her. Ian might’ve been being slick when he’d mentioned a tingle in his cock, but right then and there I knew what a tingle in my cock felt like.
“Dagen,” Ian spoke, standing and moving aside. “Would you care for the honor of taking off the last two articles of clothing that are currently suffocating our lovely Felice?”
Felice started to roll her eyes at Ian’s foolishness, but I could do nothing except nod and step closer to her. Unlike Ian, I would not go behind her. I needed to see her, to watch as her dark, lacy bra and thin panties hit the floor. She held her injured hand to the side, and I reached around her with both arms, brushing my chest against hers as I reached for the straps on her bra.
It was…a bit hard at first, because it wasn’t like taking a woman’s bra off was something I was inherently born good at, unlike Ian. I fumbled for a lot longer than I wished I did, but I eventually got it, and I helped her bra straps down along her arms, keeping it away from her bandage. Her breasts heaved when they were free, her nipples already hardened into two pebbly points.
Ian really wasn’t lying when he’d said we’d worship her. She truly was a goddess, and she deserved so much better than Ian and me. She deserved the world. Grimmstead was no place for her.
Or maybe that was my heart talking.
My breathing grew heavy long before my fingers toyed with the thin line of fabric on her hips. Once I took her underwear off, it would be over. There was no use fighting it, though, because I’d known it was over the minute she’d come up to me.
This was going to happen. We were going to happen.
I helped her out of her panties, practically kneeling before her as I brought them down. My head was level with her midsection, to that well-kept mound and the wonders hiding beneath it. I wanted to touch her, to feel her, and it took every bit of willpower in my body to rise to my feet and not get straight to the point.
Ian had returned to her back, sweeping her hair to one shoulder and kissing the exposed one. “Now,” he purred out, “isn’t this better?” His lips brushed against her skin with every word, and I watched as Felice literally melted in his grasp.
Did she respond to me like that?
Would we be doing this if she didn’t? My mind shot back, not wanting any doubt here. Regardless of what Ian would have everyone believe, this wasn’t just sex for sex’s sake. This meant so much more than that.
As Ian nuzzled her neck, Felice lifted her wound-free hand and touched my face. A slow, tender grazing of her skin against mine, her smooth palm catching on my stubble. Damn it. I should’ve shaved, should’ve prepared. Ian should’ve given me more time—
But the noise stopped. The noise stopped the moment my skin had brushed hers when I took off her bra and her panties, just like it stopped now with her palm against the side of my cheek.
If she wasn’t an angel in disguise, I didn’t know what she was.
Her eyelids cracked open, and without a word she beckoned me closer, pulling me toward her with an invisible string, a part of her that was intrinsically connected to me. My hands went to her bare hips, her heat flooding through me, her hand still cupping my face. With no hesitation whatsoever I lowered my lips to hers, swallowing whatever soft moans she released due to Ian’s persistence in finding her neck’s weakness.
Ian took a step back, licking his lips as he watched us, undoing the other buttons on his shirt. His erection pressed against his slacks boldly, proudly, and once his torso was free, his pants were off, too. He remained in his boxers, though I knew not for long.
I wasn’t watching Ian, though. My attention was solely on Felice, on the way her soft lips leaned into mine, how they parted and invited my tongue to play. The moment our tongues met, it was like fireworks, like the world itself exploded. Until then, I’d never truly known what happiness was, what good things life could give me. For the longest time, for forever, it felt like, the only thing I’d known was anxiety, paranoia, and that damned sound.
Felice kept her injured hand near her side, but the hand that had previously cupped my cheek moved to wrap around my neck and hold me to her, as if she was scared I’d pull back or tell her that I’d changed my mind.
Oh, no. My cock was hard now, too. My mind would not change, nor would my body.
I felt another hand on my shoulder the moment a witty voice spoke, “You know, watching is only fun if all the parties involved are naked.”
Felice pulled her mouth off mine, shooting a look at Ian, but I knew Ian was right.
“Come on,” Ian begged me, squeezing my shoulder. “I’m not taking these off until we stand cock to cock.”
Cock to cock. That was a phrase I never thought I would hear in my entire life, and yet here I was, about to listen to him. About to go cock
to cock, as Ian put it.
Felice’s arm dropped off me, and Ian pulled her close, smashing his mouth upon hers in a ravenous, hungry display I was meant to watch as I began to unbutton my shirt. What a pompous show-off. I bet Ian thought he was the best at everything—he might be better at this than me, but not everything. No one was that good.
It took me an ungodly amount of time to undo all of the buttons on my shirt. It seemed to have a never-ending supply of them, buttons and buttons, and when you thought you were done, even more buttons. Just a waterfall of them.
Or maybe it simply felt like that because I wanted my hands on her.
Or, maybe it was because of the thumping that came back into my head the moment I stopped touching her.
I could not get out of my shirt fast enough, hurrying to undo my belt. My own erection throbbed in my pants, cluing me in to the fact that I needed to join that mess of limbs, and I needed to do it soon. Honestly, doing this with Ian hadn’t once crossed my mind before he’d brought it up, but now…watching her with him, it was kind of sexy.
And it was. Anyone with eyes and an objective perception of the passion between Felice and Ian would agree. The way he clawed at her, how she practically mewled as she writhed against him. For a man with a raging hard-on, Ian was careful not to touch her injured hand.
I’d have to remember to be mindful of it, too.
My belt took far too long to undo and pull through the belt loops on my pants, but after it fell to the floor, everything else was relatively easy. Within a few moments, I stood in nothing but my boxer briefs, the outline of my erection more of a tenting situation, kind of like when Payne first woke up. My cock wanted free, desperately, and soon it would be.
This was kind of exciting, the noise in my head aside. I’d never…never done anything remotely close to this. This was not something I could’ve ever prepared myself for, but was that going to stop me?
No. No, it was not.
I coughed, alerting both Ian and Felice that I was now on equal ground with the former. Ian sluggishly pulled his lips off hers, and I watched as she ran her tongue over her lips, hungry for more. She went to sit on the side of her bed, holding her bandaged hand to her stomach, a slow smile forming as she looked at us together.
