Returning to Us: Back to Corbin’s Bend

“I can cuff them, too,” he said casually. “And I have the spreader bar up here.”

“No,” she gasped. “Please don’t use that. I… I won’t kick anymore.”

“Good,” he said simply. Hal put his leg across hers to help her keep her word.

Susan breathed deeply trying to keep quiet as he reddened her thighs before shifting her position to bring her sit spot to the optimal position. Susan finally cried out as his hand—hard as a board—landed over and over. Hal had spanked her so seldom in the past years, she had taught herself to be quiet. If she shouted stop, he’d usually stop. But she couldn’t stay quiet this time.

“Hal, please!” she cried. “That really hurts!” Susan was used to this statement pretty much stopping a spanking.

He didn’t even pause. “I bet it does,” he replied, “and I expect it’s going to for quite a while.” Hal continued a bit longer, before he stopped and began rubbing.

Susan slumped over his lap, dimly hoping that was it. She knew it had been just the warm-up, but the hope was there, nonetheless.

“Now we can begin,” Hal told her. “You hid your feelings all day Friday when you could have told me what you were thinking, and we’d have avoided your blow-up at the party. Is that right?”

  “Yes, honey, but…”

Hal wasn’t doing any listening. She felt him reach over for something.

With the first lick of the old hairbrush, Susan cried out again, “No…!” But she had no control over this situation. Susan was soon in agony. She’d always hated that brush. When he switched from her butt to her thighs, she tried desperately to slide off his lap.

“You’d best be still,” he told her firmly.

He’d stopped spanking for a moment, but he didn’t do any rubbing.

Susan held her breath, waiting. When Susan felt him shift her position once again, she begged, “No, no, no… Please, Hal.”

Ten excruciating swats to her tender sit spot followed. For the first time in more than a decade, she burst into honest cleansing tears during a spanking. “I’m sorry,” she sobbed. “I should have talked to you. I shouldn’t have hidden everything from you. I’m sorry,” she cried again.

Hal stopped and helped Susan to her feet. “We’re not through,” he told her at once. He grabbed a tissue and held it to her nose. “Blow,” he said, just as he’d done with the kids when they were little. She blew her nose and Hal blotted a new tissue to her eyes.

Susan could hardly stand her burning ass. “Please rub, honey, please! It’s killing me!”

“Not now, but I do think you need a break,” he told her in a gentle voice.

Susan wished fervently that her hands were free. She needed to rub desperately. She also imagined turning around and pressing her bottom against the cool wall. But she simply stood as Hal had told her to do, easing her weight from one foot to the other. After a time, Susan didn’t know how long, Hal called her back to the couch.

This time he led her behind it and had her bend over. Her tears had subsided, but Hal felt they would come back. He placed a tissue in her hands. “We’ll be done soon,” he reassured her, as he bent her over the back of the couch.

Susan hated this position. She wanted the contact of Hal’s lap, but she stayed quiet. Hal placed his hand on her lower back to steady her and it gave Susan comfort.

“Last night you drank way more than what’s normal for you. You’re smarter than that and I don’t want it happening again. Probably because of your drinking you were cursing, dropping the f-bomb and calling Ever’s husband a son-of-a-bitch.”

  Susan blanched at the memory.

“We both knew when we decided to move here that that kind of behavior wouldn’t be tolerated in Corbin’s Bend. So, let me tell you—it best not happen again.”

Taking up the wide silicone spatula, Hal cut loose fiercely on Susan’s sit spot.

  “Shit! Hal, please!” she begged.

Hal stopped. “What did you say?”

“Wait, wait! I’m sorry. It just flew out. It really hurts,” Susan called out frantically.

Ten blistering swats fell swiftly. As Susan gasped, Hal said, “Now I can get back to the spanking. Unless you have more cussing I need to take care of right this minute.”

He continued with the horrible spatula. Susan fought to stay where she was and not kick her feet. It had to end soon. Wasn’t Hal’s arm tired yet?

When he dropped the spatula on the couch, Susan sagged with relief. Hal spoke from behind her. “When you ran off and hid from me you scared me badly. You scared and worried the whole town. Your actions could have caused you to either suffer a great humiliation—that I would never have allowed—or we would have had to leave our new home. In this town DD is real, and it’s going to get real for us, too.”

When he finished speaking, Susan heard the sound she’d been dreading, the jangle of him unbuckling his belt and the whoosh of it coming through the loops of his jeans. Her head sagged, and the tears began again. Few things were more painful than his belt, but there was a dual quality to the belt she couldn’t deny. She did fear it, but in some strange inexplicable way, she loved it too.

Five hard licks fell across her already throbbing ass. Changing sides, five more fell. Then Hal dropped the belt onto the couch. It was over.

Gently, Hal helped Susan stand and wrapped his arms around her. She sobbed with both pain and relief. Hal rubbed her bottom gently. He’d need to work on after care, but first he wanted Jason and Quincy to go.

“I’m going downstairs to tell them we’re done, and they can leave.”

Susan looked at him in shock. How could she have forgotten they were down there listening this whole time? Taking a deep breath, she realized it didn’t matter to her. It’s over, it’s over, was all she could concentrate on.

“Do you want to wait here?” Hal asked.

“No, I want to be with you,” Susan answered quietly.

Hal helped her on with her robe and they headed downstairs. Jason looked up as they came into the room. “We’ll be going now,” he said.

Quincy went to Susan. She took Susan’s face in her hand, looked her in the eye and nodded twice before giving her a meaningful hug. “We’ll see you all at the meeting Monday,” she said and she and Jason were out the door.

Hal turned to Susan and gave her a long kiss before leading her to the bedroom for some tender aftercare.

  Chapter 31

The following day, Sunday, Susan was as relaxed and happy as she could ever remember being. The fact that her ass hurt like hell with every step she took didn’t worry her in the least. She spent most of the day lying on the sofa with her head in Hal’s lap.

They talked about everything. Susan felt like she’d been away for months and months and wanted to catch up. In a way, she had been away, but that was her own fault. When the meeting time rolled around Monday morning, Susan marveled at her change of spirit from the last one.

As they were ushered in, Susan saw Charles place a cushion in her chair and she gave him a grateful smile.

“Jason, Quincy, where do we stand?” Brent asked.

“I would say the punishment was thorough and completely acceptable,” Jason told him.

“Yes! More than adequate, I’d say,” Quincy concurred, giving Hal a hard stare.

“I’m glad to hear it’s taken care of,” Brent said. “Susan, is there anything you’d like to say?”

“I’d just like to apologize again for the way I acted Friday and for all the trouble I caused.”

Brent smiled at her in a friendly manner. “According to Jason and Quincy, that’s been cleared up by your husband. So, don’t let it worry you again.” Turning to Hal he went on, “My only worry now is whether we are we going to see some repeat of this problem in another month or so.”

Hal looked confident as he answered. “Brent, I can assure you that won’t happen. Beginning yesterday, I became a true HOH and I’m going to listen to every word Jason tells me as I find
my way through what all of it means. None of this would’ve happened if I’d listened the first time. Susan, would you tell everyone the rest of your punishment?”

Susan was startled. She hadn’t expected this. She gave Hal a pleading look. He returned her look calmly. “Go on, please,” he told her.

Susan closed her eyes for a moment, then looked up at Hal and nodded. “Besides the spanking I got yesterday for how I acted at the party and then hiding, I have to write an apology/thank-you letter to everyone at the party and everyone who signed up to help in the search.”

Brent gave a small smile and nodded in agreement.

“But,” Susan continued, “we realize my most serious issues involve lying—not being honest with Hal and not being honest with Quincy. Hal says for the next month I’m going to be spanked every other night for all the lies I’ve told them.” Again, Susan noticed nods around the room.

“Do you think you’ll be able to stick to your rules now, both of you?” Jason asked.

“Our rules have changed,” Hal told him. “I realized I don’t really care that much about the cleaning and cooking, not enough to make them a rule. Susan knows what I expect. I want the house reasonably tidy and for her to cook occasionally. If she doesn’t do these things, she’s going to get a spanking she won’t enjoy. It will be at my discretion. Same with her getting out and moving more. I expect her to do it, but I’m not making specific rules about how she’ll do these things. She’ll do them, or she’ll be spanked for blowing them off. But we only have two actual rules. Susan, do you want to explain them?”

Susan nodded to Hal, then began. “No lying,” she told them. “That’s it, period. No wiggle room at all. So, if you don’t want to really know what I think of a new outfit or haircut, don’t ask.” Susan gave a small smile as the room chuckled.

“The other rule is that I have to write Hal a letter every week. It has to be on his computer by five PM every Thursday, if I want to be able to sit that weekend, that is. I have to tell him how my week went, any confession I might need to make and exactly how I’m feeling. No hedging. I have to spill my guts, good or bad. And not having it there on time turns our new Friday afternoon maintenance into a punishment.”

Everyone was quiet for a while until Brent spoke up, addressing Hal. “All this sounds good. I can tell you’ve thought about this a great deal in a short time. You’ve got great instincts, but your history tells us you aren’t so good on follow-up.”

“I can’t argue with you there. But this has been a real wake-up call and I believe I can do it. Susan and I will each be talking to our mentors twice a week to help us stay on track. I’ve asked Susan to give me another chance and now I’m asking the same of all of you.”

Brent glanced over at Charles. Charles gave a nod and a grin, saying, “I believe you two are going to make it.”

Subject: Go with me on this

Do you think your husband would be willing to talk with my husband via email? Things have taken a turn here. I’m wondering if Hal might be able to share some of what he’s learned. I think it could help your husband and mine. Are you willing to take the risk?

  To: Susan M.

I don’t know whether to be excited or scared to death, but I’m sending you Max’s email to give to Hal. Heaven help me!

  Chapter 33

Two weeks later Susan was at one of her twice-a-week meetings with Quincy. They were sitting in Susan’s kitchen sipping coffee. “Quincy, I know what you say about consistency and for the most part I agree. But this every other night spanking, well it’s too much. Hal spanks me hard with the hairbrush on those nights. I’m still sore when it’s time for the next one two days later.”

“They’re supposed to be hard!” Quincy told her firmly. “They’re for lying to me and to your husband!”

“Still, it’s too much. I told Hal that two weeks was plenty. I’d learned my lesson for sure and a month was too long. I told him I’d turned over a new leaf. I’m being honest with both of you and I’m writing him every week. But truly, my ass is too sore to take another two weeks. I told him last night, I’m done!”

Quincy gave her a concerned look. She didn’t like the idea of Susan beginning to dictate the rules. “What did he say to that?” she asked.

“Bend over,” Susan answered with a grimace.

Quincy laughed, “You had me worried there for a minute.”

  Six months later

  To: Hal M.

  From: Max T.

Hal, I really want to thank you for your help over these past few months. They’ve been the best time of our married life. Your insisting that I have her write to me every week has changed everything. She tells me things that I know she wouldn’t have sat down and told me face to face. Having her write is the closest any man is going to come to having an instruction manual for marriage. It’s honestly like having a window into her mind.

My biggest problem now is knowing when to spank and when to let things go. Any advice for that?

I’ve also been thinking more and more about Corbin’s Bend. It really sounds like a great place.

  To: Max T.

  From: Hal M.

That’s great to hear. It sounds like you and Megan are coming right along. I’m happy to hear that the weekly letters are helping. But let me give you one strong word of caution. This letter writing is something you must be very strict about. Let her know that skipping a week is a major rule violation and then, for Pete’s sake, if she does miss one, wear her out!

I believe most women, and my wife in particular, would be very hurt if I didn’t hold her to this. Susan would be saying in her head He doesn’t care about me! He said he wanted to know my thoughts and feelings but when I didn’t send them, he didn’t care. I’ll never bother him with them again! And then she’d slam closed like a bank vault. That’s one thing you can never overlook. In fact, having the TiH write a letter to the HOH each week is now a strong suggestion in the Corbin’s Bend handbook for all newcomers.

When to spank and when to let it go: that’s a hard one for most of us. Everyone’s entitled to a bad or grumpy day, including our wives. And some things are honest mistakes that can be overlooked. But my advice is when in doubt, spank. It doesn’t have to be a hard or long spanking. But it will let her know you’re paying attention and the time spent holding her afterwards gives you both time to reconnect. In our house a spanking that is slightly unfair will be forgiven far quicker than a needed spanking that’s ignored.

Always good talking with you, Max. I’ll send you more information on Corbin’s Bend. Hope to see you here one day.

  Meanwhile, at the book club

Venia smiled as she saw Susan come through the door. She couldn’t believe the change in her friend. It was like she’d come out of hiding and was enjoying life as her true self. Susan was usually smiling and laughing these days. Her sarcastic comments were always funny and right on the mark, but never mean or cutting.

Susan joined Venia and Quincy, easing gently into a cushioned chair.

  “Sitting sensitively today?” Venia asked.

“I’m always sitting sensitively!” Susan moaned. “Hal is not slacking off one bit. I had my letter ready to send but I decided to add one more thing and I ended up not hitting send. I showed him I’d already written it. He thanked me for writing it and then wore my butt out anyway!”

  “Complaining?” Quincy asked.

“No, but I would just think …” Susan stopped, then started again. “Yes, I’m complaining, but mostly just to complain. I can’t find any fault in Hal. He’s as sweet as ever, he does most of the cooking and cleaning, he gives me time to write and he’s never picky about things like laundry or how many goodies I bring home from Ange’s. But let me even begin to hedge on a question—he considers that lying—or heaven forbid, I hit send at five oh one instead of before five and
he’s going to tear my ass up!”

The other women at the book club were listening now. “You look happy,” Ever commented.

Susan looked at the group. “I am happy. I’ve got wonderful friends. I’m loved, and pampered, and petted by Hal. I get my sexy fun spankings. I get maintenance once a week that usually isn’t too bad And, I’m held accountable for things Hal cares about. It feels so good to be us again.

  The End

  PK Corey

After spending thirty-six years in two careers I liked just fine, I’ve finally found my dream career as a writer. I’ve been happily married for thirty-five years and my sweet husband has gotten used to the unique experience of living with a writer. He is very encouraging and an excellent editor when he’s pressed into service.

I’ve been intrigued by spanking stories since before I first saw Ricky spank Lucy. Stories of this nature were hard to come by before the Internet and the ones I found were a little harsh on discipline and very much lacking in love. So, I made up my own stories and enjoyed these in my head for years. I finally began writing them down. Although the lovely women in my stories are spanked often, the love between them and their men takes top priority.

My Cassie’s Space series shows a mature couple who are deeply in love. Despite loving Cassie’s free-spirited ways, Tom is determined to keep her safe, even if it takes a trip over his knee. And with her friend Sue by her side and all they get into, a trip over his knee is very likely. My new series, Cal’s Law, is about a younger couple. Though they come from very different backgrounds, love and discipline draw them together.
