Sinful Surrender

Could it be her best friend, Chandra? Never. They were too close, like the bond twin sisters were supposed to have. Chandra would never betray her. Like Fay, Chandra would take torture and death before confessing anything to their government about Fay that might hurt her. Wouldn’t she? Or had their drifting apart in the last few months changed things for Chandra? It was unbearable to think someone she loved so much would betray her.

“You might as well talk.” Drakker’s baritone voice drew her attention back to him. “It’s not like you’ll be able to escape.” He ran his long fingers through his shiny, ink-black hair. “Just tell us what we need to know. It’ll save you a lot of discomfort.” Lowering his voice to a whisper, he added, “Don’t make me do something I don’t want to do to you.”

“Do you follow every order Logan gives you?” she asked, feeling like she might have a chance to talk him out of it.

“As my brother? No. As the leader of the Airbornes? Yes.” He pressed a small bottle filled with the potion to her lips. She clamped her mouth closed. When the wetness seeped between her lips, she jerked her head back, spilling the fluid down the front of herself.

Drakker leaned forward as if to lick the red juice from her flesh then caught himself. His body stiffened as he backed off. “Don’t want to cooperate, huh?” He walked away, refilled the bottle, and returned to her. “I’ll never understand why women enjoy making things harder on themselves.”

When she opened her mouth to reply, Drakker tried to slip a bit of the serum into her mouth. What liquid made it in, she spit out.

  “Why are you being difficult?”

Fay tossed him her nastiest, most challenging glare. “I like being difficult.”

He arched one of his sexy, dark eyebrows. The sly smirk playing at his lips spoke volumes. “Well, I’m a man of endurance, ma chérie. I will keep at this until I get my serum in your mouth.”

The double entendre didn’t escape her. “I’m sure you will.”

“A woman who wants to be tamed, huh?”

He tried again to get the liquid in her mouth. This time she choked. The thought of rape was preferable to the idea of death by poison. Panic tightened her upper chest. She’d swallowed some of the potion and was already feeling funny from the little bit of liquid she didn’t manage to spit out. “How much of that will it take to kill me?”

He squinted at her as if he were insulted. “I’m not trying to kill you, Fay. This is a truth serum. I’m trying to get you to talk.” He smirked. “I like my women alive when I interrogate them. They make better conversationalists.”

She didn’t believe him. He’d poisoned her. No truth serum she’d been trained to resist had ever made her feel all tingly inside or her body feel hot. Everything in the room took on a sharp focus unlike the other serums that made everything fuzzy. He tried again to give her more of the potion. She could see in those deep blue eyes of his her resistance challenged rather than aggravated him.

“As a rule, I normally wouldn’t do this,” he said, while unbuttoning his shirt. “But since you’re being difficult…”

Her body tensed. Here it comes. Her pulse hit an exhilarated tempo as his white cotton shirt fell to the floor. All she could think about was pressing the soft-looking fabric to her nose and inhaling Drakker Abán’s scent. How bizarre. She should be worried about dying, not craving her killer’s scent. The poison’s playing with my mind. It has to be. She hoped the mind traveler realized this was just too odd for a woman facing torture. The drug was definitely affecting her. She tried to fight the urge to peek at his tanned muscled chest and failed.

“Fay?” His voice strummed her heart like a string instrument, sending erotic waves through her body, arousing her hormones. Drakker removed his boots and socks. She couldn’t rip her eyes from his beautiful feet. The sight of his perfect toes sent another ripple of desire rushing through her. She raised her vision to take in the mesmerizing, dark, brooding sight of him.

  “Fay?”

Her gaze shot all the way up at his call. There was that ghostly smirk again. It was there, in his smoldering eyes. Her blood boiled over with desire.

“I said, normally I wouldn’t do this, but in your case I’m making an exception.”

“Don’t do me any favors.” To her surprise, Drakker took a bit of the red liquid into his mouth. So, he hadn’t lied about it being a truth serum. He moved in, his naked chest so close she could feel the heat of his body permeate hers. He pressed his sculptured lips to hers, and her body went limp with pleasure. Her lungs ceased to expand. She couldn’t concentrate on anything but the soft warmth of his mouth. She anticipated the weight of his body pressing into hers. When it didn’t happen, the depth of her disappointment surprised her. Worried about how the mind traveler observing her would interpret her reactions, Fay sent a thought. Do not report my actions as willing. Take into account the drug is affecting my physical responses. This is out of my control. I can only strive to contain the secrecy of my mission here. Her brain was so foggy now, she had to wonder if it made any sense.

Drakker’s large hands held her head still but not in a viselike grip as she would have expected someone interrogating her would do. His grasp felt more like a firm, but caressing, hold. One she was enjoying. What is this drug doing to my mind? This interrogation felt more like a romantic interlude than some brutal questioning.

His lips suctioned over hers as he forced more of the liquid into her mouth. He could put it in, but he couldn’t make her swallow. She’d just hold it in her mouth until he withdrew then spit it out like before. His lips seemed to hug hers, willing her tongue to come out and play with his. The man was infuriating, but there was something about Drakker’s dominating presence that made her want to kiss him back. Something she couldn’t do with a mouth full of strawberry-tasting potion.

Conflicting emotions collided inside her body and in her mind. Maybe it was the drug. Logic told her it couldn’t be. She’d only swallowed a little bit the first time around, and she hadn’t swallowed any of this mouthful, yet. Perhaps this stuff was so powerful it just absorbed through the tissues of her gums. Whatever it was, she desired him. She wanted nothing more right now than to taste him.

Doubts consumed her. Maybe it wasn’t the drug. Maybe it was the tickle of his mustache that enchanted her, or the smell of his hair making her want to feel his tongue battle against hers. Maybe it was the first time in her life she felt free to act on her buried feelings without fear of being condemned by her government. That feeling of freedom didn’t last long. The minute she thought of her government, her trained instincts kicked in.

She clamped her lips together, but it was too late. The serum was in her mouth. She pressed the back of her tongue up to block the opening of her throat, forcing the liquid to the front of her mouth. Again, it was too late. The drug was already working. She felt light-headed until her lungs decided to kick in and work again. Trouble was her breaths could only escape through her nose. Drakker’s luring lips still covered her mouth. She wasn’t getting enough air. She needed to suck in a few deep breaths through her mouth and soon!

Fay groaned. Drakker kept his lips sealed to hers. She groaned again, but with more urgency. Without releasing her mouth, Drakker reached up and pinched her nose closed. Unable to breathe, she swallowed the warm liquid. It eased its oily way down her throat like expensive cognac. Jerking her head away from his kiss, she gasped for air. Drakker sealed his success with another unexpected kiss, a kiss that sent a sensuous tidal wave of confusion rushing through her body. This time she returned his kiss with a passion of her own. Only then did Drakker back away, releasing her from his seduction.

She hadn’t forgotten the mind traveler still lurked in the room. She couldn’t afford for the truth of her visit to get back to the Underworld government, just in case she had to go back. In spite of what she was feeling, she had to fight this potion and the odd urges it was giving her. Fay shouted at Drakker. “Go to hell!” Her breaths came in heavy pants, bounci
ng her breasts up and down. The motion caught Drakker’s lustful gaze. Her body responded to his interest, setting her blood on fire.

His eyelids grew heavy, giving him a sexy bedroom look. “That’s exactly where this little party’s going to be held tonight. Hell. And I’m the devil taking you there.” The temptation in his voice reached deep into her soul, pulling out her naughtier side. Drakker snagged the back of her neck and placed a hard and demanding kiss on her lips.

Holy mother of Mary. She hadn’t expected this. Fay screamed, pulling at her chains. She’d expected torture, not fulfillment of a fantasy. Her training had prepared her for thumbscrews, water torture, knives, even rape, not strawberry cognac and kisses that set fire to her insides. What kind of torture’s this? The best kind. The kind she couldn’t resist.

Her body now had a mind of its own. Though her brain told her not to surrender, her mouth opened willingly to Drakker as he fed her more of the red juice. When he finished, his lips lingered just a breath from hers.

“You’re having an interesting response to my potion.” The satisfied smile on his face told her he liked her reaction.

“Am I? Well, I’m glad you approve.” Deep down, she didn’t mind her response either. If this was how the Airbornes conducted their interrogations, she’d escape just to get caught again. They couldn’t by any means think this would make her confess. This whole interrogation was sexually arousing. If she refused to talk and could manage to hold out long enough, she might actually be able to repeat the stimulating experience.

He traced his tongue across his bottom lip in a slow and sultry sweep. Her gaze followed, prompting a needy desire to suck on his tongue. Her words were breathy, “My skin’s on fire. Why don’t you use your tongue to cool me down?”

A soft groan escaped him. “You’d like that wouldn’t you?” His stare deepened as he backed away a few steps. “I don’t want to do this. Not like this. I need you to talk now, Fay.”

“There’s nothing to say.” She lowered her voice to a whisper. “Except I’m so very, very wet for you.” She felt the heat of embarrassment warm her cheeks, but she had to do this. It was now or never. There wouldn’t be a second chance for her to live out her fantasy to talk dirty without repercussions from a Dirt Dweller or the Underworld government. Right now, they couldn’t hold her responsible for her actions. She was under the influence of a serum. They might even give her a metal for being smart enough to turn her interrogation around by distraction.

“Hmm.” Drakker’s eyes sparkled. “I’ve got a naughty girl on my hands.” He walked across the room to the small, rolling cabinet and pulled out a large feather from one of the drawers.

Oh, now that’s a torture device to fear—a feather? Her relief caused her to start an uncontrolled giggling. “No, no, not that!” She chuckled. “I’ll talk! I’ll talk!” Again, she burst into more giggles.

Drakker smirked as he walked toward her. “Laugh now, ma chérie, because you won’t be laughing later.”

“Really?” Her induced chemical amusement changed at once to longing when she noticed a semierect, phallus shaped lump in his leather pants. The size caused an intense pull at her clitoris. In an attempt to control and hide her desire, she joked. “What are you going to do, tickle me to death?”

“I’ll leave the tickles to Arlo.” Returning to her side, he touched the feather to the base of her throat and stroked it across her upper chest. She gasped at the wicked bolts of charged energy the plume caused to soar through her. The softness of the down affected her body in such an unexpected way. It made her sizzle with a need to be touched…by him.

He flashed a sexy smile. “Don’t misunderstand me, ma chérie. I want you in my control, but I want you willingly here with me.” He ran the feather down between her breasts. She sucked in a sharp breath. The sensation of the feather was now like liquid fire on her skin, leaving a path of the devil’s desire burning at her loins. There were no more giggles. Sexual hunger replaced them, but she couldn’t let the mind traveler or Drakker know she wanted him.

“Tell Logan what he wants to know.” His voice was sexy soft, making a shiver race down her neck. “Then we can be done with this interrogation.” His tone dropped to a bare whisper. “So I can interrogate you…my way.”

Damn. She would have confessed right then, just to experience his way, but she couldn’t. Logan would have her killed or incarcerated for life as a spy the minute she did. Even worse, if she told the true reason for her coming here right now, the visiting mind traveler would report her confession for coming to the surface to discover the truth about her government. That revealing admission would subject her to the treason laws of the Underworld government. Either way, she was doomed if she talked.

She focused on the translucent shadow hovering in the upper corner of the room. The mind traveler had an unobstructed view of her. The vibes felt familiar. She looked at Drakker. “There’s nothing to tell. I was on my way home and lost control of my craft.”

  “Where’s home?”

She almost answered. The potion was working. It was giving her loose lips, or was it the half-naked man in front of her? The sight of his muscled chest made her toes tingle and curl with anticipation. God, she wanted him to caress her. To feel the strength of his arms wrapped around her waist. She’d never felt such an overwhelming desire for a man before. She let her head fall back and groaned, “I love the golden color of your skin.” Her voice fell heavy on the last word. She couldn’t believe she’d said it. She opened her mouth to retract the statement, but said instead, “Can I touch it?”

“Stay with me, Fay. Your mind is wandering. If you’re a pilot, who do you report to? What other type of ship do you fly?”

  “Did I say I was a pilot?”

He shrugged. “Doesn’t it go without saying? You were flying. Other than a pilot, who else is trained to fly crafts other than spies, so they can escape?”

“Did you ever think I might be a mechanic out on a test flight?”

“A mechanic? Hmm. Well, that would confirm Logan’s belief that you’re not a Star Rider, wouldn’t it?” At her silence, Drakker traced the feather down from her elbow into her armpit.

She couldn’t control the shiver racing down her back from his decadent assault.

He pulled at her braided ponytail with a gentle tug. “Where’s your home, Fay?” he asked using an interrogator’s tone.

At her refusal to speak, he moved in, standing so close she could smell his tropical fragrance mixed with his male scent. The erotic aroma heightened her libido. He lowered his arm until his hand was even with her crotch. He flipped the feather around and aligned its polished quill tip between her spread legs. Fay held her breath. He dragged the rounded tip of the quill over the silk panel covering her crotch. The pressure he used was enough to let her know he was there, yet not push the silk between the outer and inner lips of her swollen labia. The tip of the quill penetrated into the silk just enough to stimulate her clit on its passing stroke.

She groaned as the quill passed over her again. The odd tingle to her skin was heaven and hell rolled into one.

Drakker made another stroke. Again, he whispered, “Ah, ma chérie, I hope you’ve left your chatte unshaved so I might enjoy your womanly scent when I get the chance.” Using the quill’s tip in the waistband of her red undies, he pulled the fabric away from her. His sharp, blue eyes shone with approval.

She could feel the hot moisture building between the lips of her mound. If she could only move her legs another inch forward, she could capture his hips between her thighs for an external hump, if nothing else. She needed to rub her mons against something. The tingling was getting intense.

“Sweet.” Drakker let the red fabric snap back into place and smiled. “How did Arlo miss getting you to shave there?”

Arlo? Why would he have anything to do with the maintenance of my pubic hair? Images of the evening Arlo had taken her to the river came rushing back to her. She remembered how his pants droope
d so temptingly low over the extreme lower half of his hairless abdomen. So, Arlo must prefer a shaved mons. A bit of guilt washed over her fuzzy thoughts. On an emotional level, she’d allowed herself to like Arlo. The naughtier part of her had even dared to fantasize about him making passionate and romantic love to her the night they camped out in the open air under the stars.

She’d been trained to control all emotions and keep her desires buried but had failed when it came to Arlo. Through his poetry, his soul became an open book. There were no hidden secrets. His tell-it-like-it-is honesty gave her a secure feeling when around him. Arlo’s gentle nature and naïve sense of what was right and wrong captured her heart.

Drakker was a different story. He was a mystery, a man full of intriguing secrets and temptations. There was something about him she couldn’t quite pinpoint but desperately craved to discover. Drakker was a master of seduction, and he was creating a yearning in her so deep, it scared her.

He drew her attention again when he rubbed the flat side of the quill across her swollen clitoris before dragging the soft part of the feather down her wet slit. “Ooh…yesss. Do it again.”

To her complete dismay, she realized she wanted them both. Arlo could be her romantic sweetheart, and Drakker could be her erotic lover. My God, what am I thinking? I can’t have two men in my life. The wicked side of her poked at her logic with a devil’s reasoning. Why not? Fay gave a mental groan, shaking the notion out of her head. Because that’s insane! No, what’s insane is I’m arguing with myself. I know two men are unacceptable. The “devil on her shoulder” spoke up again. So, it doesn’t matter each man fits perfectly to the different sides of me? Fay clamped her eyes closed against the lucidity of the thought. Two men and one woman is not the norm! Why would I even think this? She was chained, facing certain death, and like some lunatic, she was fantasizing about being with two men. It’s got to be the drug he gave me. She dropped her head in private shame and moaned.

“Fay? Stay with me.” The sound of Drakker’s soft voice seemed to vibrate straight through her body, right down to her clitoris. It twitched. Her body trembled. She gasped. An amused chuckle rumbled from his chest, drawing her thoughts back to him. He stirred a burning desire within her.
