The lack of cohesive coordination in the country has exaggerated the frustration to our efforts to stabilise and to manage the flow of refugees. However, we are pleased to announce the illicit traffic in people across the Mediterranean has slowed to the degree where our humanitarian initiatives are beginning to take hold. Much work still has to be done in ensuring countries willing to absorb the migrants are properly organised to do so. We will continue to cooperate with all states and parties involved and are grateful to the various governments for their positive inputs in this delicate situation.”
Only Marcel Benoit, Francine Louvet and the directors of International Security Partners knew why the various spokesmen for the authorities were unable to address the detailed issue of the actions taken against the Libyan-based people-trafficking gangs.
