Victor turned to her. “He asked for it.” Marcus slammed a knee into Victor’s kidney causing the Reaper to crumple to the floor screaming in pain.

“He’s right, sweetheart. Just sit back and enjoy the show.” He leaned down and kissed her again. “Have I told you how much I love you today?”

“Yes, but I never get tired of hearing it.”

Victor kicked Marcus’s right leg out from beneath him, and he went down hard on his left leg. He smiled. “I love you, Celeste.”

And then he turned and concentrated on the fight with Victor, soon Christian joined when it was obvious that Marcus was winning.

“Well that just isn’t fair.” Celeste shook her head.

But Marcus’s laughter drowned out her protests.

“You have chosen well daughter,” Dante said from next to her. “But you will both need to watch each other’s back, the Tribunal must surely know about you and him being changed into a Dark Angel.” Dante sighed. “I believe the changes in the mortal plane are far from over. But for what it’s worth you have me and your brothers on your side.”

At the moment Celeste was too happy to care about anything else and threw her arms around her father kissing his cold cheek. “We shall all meet them head on proud of whom and what we are.”

Dante nodded. “What more could a father ask for?”

Celeste smiled. “Now if you don’t mind I think I’ll help my bonded mate kick my brother’s asses.”
