Aegion closed the journal and looked out over the ocean, wind blowing strong as they made their way to an unknown land. He didn’t know what to expect once they found it, but he was ready for anything with Anadilcia by his side.
“What are you doing?” Anadilcia asked, walking up next to him.
“Hmm? Just saying goodbye.”
She grabbed his hand and squeezes it, smiling up at him.
He smiled back down at her with a sigh.
“Well, no time like the present ta start livin, eh?”
He reached back and threw his journal as far as he could, watching it fly through the air and land with a splash in the ocean far below.
He took his daughter by the hand again and lead her away from the edge, towards their new future together.
