“Speaking of texting,” Callum said. “That was a great idea, texting us nine-one-one if there was trouble. We all managed to get here just in time.”

“Well, it seemed the fastest way.” Graham pulled Tyler closer and kissed him on the head.

Trace was holding Xavi on his lap and didn’t look like he was going to let him up anytime soon. Xavi, in turn, looked like he was settled in just where he wanted to be. Adam watched the two couples and felt a little lonely. But he pushed that thought aside. His motto had always been, “the more the merrier” and he didn’t plan on changing that at any time soon.

Tomorrow, hopefully, everything could go back to normal. Adam knew there would probably be a few more things that needed wrapping up concerning Xavi’s family. But Xavi had Trace now standing by his side, so he would be fine. In fact, Adam was going to be sending them to Wyoming in a couple of days. There were a few ranches that were scheduled for Trace’s services.

Adam noticed Trace took a bite of his sandwich and grimaced. Adam wondered if he had gotten hurt somehow, until he noticed there were pickles in his sandwich.

“Hey, Trace. Why are you eating pickles? You hate those things,” Adam commented.

Xavi sat up in Trace’s lap, looking at him. Trace shot Adam a dirty look.

“Trace, you never told me that you didn’t like pickles,” Xavi said. Adam felt a little bad, because Xavi looked hurt.

Trace pulled Xavi’s head down and kissed him. When the kiss ended, Trace put their foreheads together and looked into Xavi’s eyes. “For you I would eat a thousand pickles.”
