The Last Check (Hell's Phoenix MC Series Book 2) Page 13

by Kristine Dugger

Alice laughs, “Sweetie, if you are in the long haul with my son, you better get used to it.”

I roll my eyes. “I know.”

Smith comes over and sits next to Becks. He examines her. Alice excuses herself from the table. Becks grins at Smith.

“For real, you two?” I comment snarky.

Rosy laughs, “You know there are plenty of rooms here for y’all to fuck each other brains out?”

Smith looks at Rosy, “I believe I have already done that a few times.”

Becks is practically undressing Smith with her eyes.

  Rosy states, “You disgust me.”

  I laugh, “Rosy, I’m out.”

She complains, “Don’t leave me with these two. She more than likely will give him a hand job while we are sitting.”

I stare at Becks, “Not with the kids around.”

  Both Smith and her laugh.

I walk over to Avery whose flipping burgers. His father is still talking his ear off. I wrap my arms around my man and kiss his neck. He turns his head and smirks, “Hey, babe!”

  “How are things coming along?”

“Food is almost ready. I hope your parents get here soon. You know how the boys are with food.”

I laugh, “I know. Let me call them.”

As I pull out my phone, I hear my mother’s voice, “The party is here.”

My father carrying a salad bowl behind her shaking his head. They are doing great. My mother and I’s relationship is the best it has ever been. Yay, to counseling. But I will take it. My mom and her marry ways comes over to Avery and me. She greets, “Hello, my two loves.”

I laugh, “Mom, are you drinking again?”

“Can’t I just be happy to see my daughter and her boyfriend.”

Avery comments, “Mary, do you need something to drink? There is some wine chilling in the fridge.”

“Why yes. Celebration is in order.” And my mother walks off to the cabin.

My attention goes to my father, I ask, “What is going on with her?”

He puts his hands up and says, “You know your mother.

  “She is extra goofy today.”

“Yes, she is. I’m enjoying it,” he says. The grieve counselor has really repaired their relationship. They are actually happy. It is fun to watch my mother be goofy. It makes me realize where I get it from. She used to act like this a lot when Logan and I were kids. I am so glad that mom is back and thriving.

Avery asks, “Babe, you ready to eat?”

“I guess. Frankie and Dallas are not here though.”

  “That is fine. Their choice.”

“Avery, you need to talk to them.”

“Babe, I have nothing to say. They know how I feel.”

“Do I have to reframe from sex until you all hash it out.”

His hazel eyes glare at me. “You know I take what I want when I want.”

  I purr, “Is that so?”

“You know we are right here.” Avery and I turn our attention to our fathers looking at us in disgust. Both Avery and I laugh.

  Avery

Logan’s celebration of life was a success. I love seeing my woman smile. It was important for her to continue to honor her brother’s life. Having all our families there to celebrate meant the world to her. But something else important is going to happen. James and Hayden stayed at the cabin overnight and agreed to watch Max while I take Presley for a ride on the motorcycle. With Max, we do not get to ride as much as we both like. When we do get a chance, we soak up all of the countryside.

  I holler, “Babe, hurry up.”

Max and Charlie were playing a board game on the floor. I walk over to Max and say, “Hey, little man. You having fun?”

Max says, “Duh! I’m with Charlie.”

“You promise to be good for Uncle James and Aunt Hays? Today is an important day.”

He smirks, “Yeah, I will. You promise to make Aunt Pressie happy today?”

  “I do every day.”

Then he gets serious. “I mean it. No funny business. You have my permission.”

  “I do appreciate that.”

“Okay. Now, I’m going back to playing. Bye.”

I shake my head at Max. This kid, I adore. He loves his aunt more than anything. And he is just as protective over her as I am. But today is a big day. I cannot wait to go riding with my woman.

Presley comes running down the stairs in her tight jeans and black shoulder-baring shirt that emphasizes her breasts. She is trying to kill me. I look down to see she is wearing boots instead of heels. After a year of being together, she is finally starting to learn not to wear heels when riding. She looks around and asks, “Where is my vest?”

It was lying on the couch. I grab it and hand it to her. I grin, “I love it when you wear that vest.”

She smirks, “Of course, you do. It says property of Hell’s Phoenix on the back and Ajax on the bottom.”

  “You like it.”

She tilts her head. “Maybe, a little.”

  I laugh, “You ready?”

“God, yes.” She runs over to Max and gives him a kiss on the head. We say goodbye to James and Hayden. We are ready to ride.

  ***

The ride is a form of meditation for us. Her gripping me tight. But this is a route I have not taken her on yet. I still have not told her about the land I own. Today is her big surprise. And it will be an even bigger surprise when she realizes we have a home together.

I turn onto the gravel road leading to my land. She whispers, “This is gorgeous. Where did you find this place?”

I comment, “Just wait, babe. It’s gets better.”

We pull up to a two-story house with a wraparound porch. I turn the engine off. She comments, “Avery, I’m confused. What’s going on?”

I get off the bike and then help her get off. I smirk, “What do you think?”

“The outside of the house and the land surrounding it is like heaven on Earth. Why are we here?”

  “Babe, this is ours.”

She looks at me confused. “What?”

“This is why I have been a pain in the ass when looking for a home.”

  “Are you fucking serious?”

  “You want to go in?”

“Yes, I want to go in.”

We walk up the stairs to the entrance of the home. I hand her the key. Another confused face. She opens the door and we walk into an open concept living room with a massive kitchen. Her eyes widened. I follow her to the kitchen and she is speechless.

Next, I need to show her the most important room in the house. Our room. I mention, “Babe, you want to see our room?”

  She smiles, “Um, yeah.”

I grab her hand and lead her up the turn-style stairs. Her face is taking it all in. I know she loves it. This is our future. We arrive in our room. Everything she wanted for our room, I purchased. I did have some help from her mother and mine. She comments, “Avery, I don’t know what to say.” She walks up to the window overlooking the small pond that sits just outside of our land. “This is beautiful.”

She turns around to face me and I’m on one knee. Yep, it’s happening.

  “Presley, will you marry me?”

Stunned face and all, she puts her hands up to her mouth.

I look at her, “Babe, you going to say something?”

  “You asshole.”

  “What?”

“You asshole. You hid all of this from me.”

“Babe, I just proposed to you.”

“Yeah, I get that. But, oh my God.”

This is definitely not the reaction I was expecting from her. I knew she might freak out but more of a giddy I am getting married freak out. Instead, she calls me an asshole.

She looks around the room. I feel like shit. No answer.

She screams, “Oh my God. This is really happening.” She looks at me and charges at me. Her lips attack mine. She rips off my cut and then pulls up my shirt. Her frantic hands reach down for me jea
ns, soon giving up on them. She pulls off her shirt and bra. Those miraculous breasts in my face. Fuck it, I put one in my mouth and start to suck it. Since she did not say yes to my question, I will just angry fuck her. My mouth enjoying every inch of her breast. Presley grabs a hold of my hair and starts tugging. Oh, here she goes. That is her signal for a hard fuck. I pull my mouth from her tits. I muffle, “I know what you want.” Her legs wrapped around me, I stand up and take her to the bed. I throw her down. I undo my jeans and out pops my cock. In the meantime, she has kicked off her jeans. She lies there naked on the bed that is supposed to be ours.

  I demand, “Sit up!”

I sit down on the end of the bed and continue, “Get on me.”

Presley crawls over to me, straddles me, and slides her warm pussy down my cock. I grab a hold of her hair and tug. She moans, “Ajax.” That is the other clue. If she wants Ajax, she is going to get Ajax. Roughly tugging her hair back, she moans. I start to bite down on her neck. She moans again, “Ajax.” Her pussy using me as a pogo-stick. Up and down she goes. One of my hands in her hair and the other on her hip, guiding her.

I stop biting her neck and aggressively flip her onto the bed. Her tits bounce as she falls. Her wanting eyes look up at me. I grab my dick and tickle tease her pussy. She moans, “Get in me.”

I demand, “I fucking asked you a question. Answer me.”

“Get in me first, please,” she begs.

I slam my dick into her. She whimpers. I start to push harder, leaning over her body, biting down on her neck some more. She moans, “Avery.”

I remove my mouth from her neck. “Baby, you have Ajax. Answer my damn question.” I thrust harder in her.

  She whimpers, “Oh my God.”

Her body tenses up. She is about to unleash. I stop fucking her.

She looks up at me. Her voice quivers, “Avery, I love you. And the answer is yes.”

I slam my lips to hers, shoving my tongue in her mouth. We fucking tongue like there is no tomorrow. My hips start to pump again. Her hands scratch at my back. We have not stopped kissing. Her body tenses up. My lips will not leave hers. I continue to push deep and hard. Our kisses continue to be out of control. Her lips murmur screams, causing me to lose all control. I cannot get enough of this woman. My woman.

We stop for a minute. Her blues looking up at me. She brushes my hair out of my face. Tears streaming down her cheeks. I ask, “Babe, why are you crying?”

She cries, “Because I’m lucky to have you in my life.”

I smirk, “I’m the lucky one.”

  She starts to laugh.

  I question, “What’s funny?”

“What if we just created a baby? I mean, that is baby creating sex.”

I laugh, “Only you would say that. But if we did, hell fucking yes.”

She leans up to kiss me and pulls away, “I love you.”

  “I fucking love you more.”

  “You planned this, didn’t you?”

I smile, “The proposing part, yes. The rough sex was an added bonus.”

“The rough sex is what hooked me the first time.”

  “I know!”

I lean down and kiss her gently this time. Who would have thought that the two of us would end up together? A princess and the unlikely prince. She has no idea that I have already purchased our crowns for the wedding. She is going to kill me. But she will be my queen.

  The end!
