You Will Bow Down

Deacon waved his hand dismissively. “Honestly, I think you’ll meet your match tonight if you take them on. It’s not fear that stays my hand, but the risk is too great. If I throw my coins in your pocket and challenge Théoden and Josef at your side and you lose… well, then I will lose everything and that’s what Théoden wants. I’m greedy, I’ll be the first to admit that. But I can also admit when my plate is full. The fact that I remain alive will make Théoden suspicious. He’ll want to know what I had against you in order to win, so to speak. He is one calculating vampire, and when you go against him, you need to be prepared.”
I wished I could mate with Elliot right away, but the opportunity to complete the Claiming would have to take place on the full moon cycle. So, I had twenty-nine days until the next moon. My pack would remain vulnerable until then. Best I take on the dragons, but only bring my wolves who are immune. I’d leave those who weren’t here to protect my mate and his ragtag pack with its opportunistic Alphas.
“I’ll save Théoden and Josef for last then.”
Deacon widen his eyes. “You plan on taking out Evander?” he laughed. “You’ve got some major balls.”
“You can’t achieve greatness without them. What can you tell me about him?”
“One minute,” Deacon said, holding up his hand. He turned to Elijah. “Baby, the battle is over. Can you tend to everyone?”
Elijah nodded and kissed Deacon, tongue and all, and it was the kind of kiss, one full of passion, I had hoped to experience with my own mate… if that was possible. He was stubborn as a bull and I didn’t see him relenting on being an asshole if I killed his friend. Because that was what Deacon was to him, I could tell. He was more than an Alpha. He was his best friend. There was no getting around their relationship and it would forever be there as long as they lived.
“Be careful,” Elijah said before walking off as if I was going to go back on my word. I liked to think I was a man of my word. When I gave it, I kept it. That was why Darla walked away alive with her pack and why Deacon was still breathing.
Deacon turned to me. “I don’t know much about Evander. I know he and his dragons live in Celestial Gardens. He has like twelve Knights, one of them being Théoden’s friend. See, that’s another thing you have to watch out for. Théoden has an alliance with those dragons. Rumor has it, but it’s probably the truth, that the reason he was able to defeat Josef’s pack was because he had dragon Knights to help him fight Josef’s wolves. That’s what you’re dealing with if you take his ass on.”
I was getting quite the earful of knowledge. Already this alliance I had with Deacon was paying off. Taking out the dragons would eliminate Théoden’s back-up defense. Not only that, but when I killed their King, I’d gain his dragon army. They’d have no choice. Dragons go with the victor. Those who refused, which was rare, were killed. With my dragon army increased, I’d be able to deal with Théoden and Josef easily. Yes, my plan was still on track, with a little alteration. Josef would have to die after I had taken out Evander.
“So, are we good here?” Deacon asked.
I sighed. “If Théoden tries to attack you, I’ll help you defend your land. I’m leaving some of my wolves and a few of my dragons here to protect my mate while I take on this dragon King. I don’t give a shit what you tell him if he askes you why my pack is here protecting and fighting alongside yours if it comes to that.”
“Let’s hope that it doesn’t,” Deacon said.
“What about us?” Elliot asked.
“What’s your last name?” I asked, hoping he’d tell me now.
“McGruder.”
“Elliot McGruder. I’m—”
“Kendrick Sahr, yeah, I got the briefing,” he stated.
“Look, I know we got off to the worst of beginnings. I was only doing what ambitious wolves do. But I will stand by my word, your Alpha… and friend is safe,” I said, hoping to ease the tension between us. If we were to be mated, not going at each other’s throats would be beneficial to our bond growing.
“He better be,” Elliot said.
“I do expect you to live with me,” I said. “After the Claiming.”
Elliot and Deacon shared a look and I could see that neither wolf wanted that, but it was inevitable. There was no way he could be Alpha of my pack and Beta Capo of Deacon’s… right?
“Wouldn’t it be wise to keep Elliot in my pack, in a position of power? That will keep our alliance strong,” Deacon said.
Again, the Alpha was working out a new strategy that would put him in a powerful position. Word would get around that he used weapons to defend his territory. Surely, that would open him up to more challengers, those thinking him weak. They’d be the fools, this man had no shame. At least, not when it came to defending what was his. I was sure he would attack them all the same if he felt like the ball wouldn’t be in his court. Regardless, if his right-hand man, his Beta Capo, was my Alpha and they get word about who and what I was… that would keep all enemies at bay, no doubt. Deacon was smart. Very smart.
“I’m not leaving this pack,” Elliot declared. “This is my pack, has been for two-hundred years.”
“Ahhh, the baggage you come with,” I groused.
“Hey, I’m not too thrilled with having to mate with you either. But if it’ll make me stronger, so I can help defend my pack, so be it,” Elliot stated.
“Your pack is the one you share with me,” I corrected.
“My pack is the one that I owe my life to, motherfucker. Don’t get ahead of yourself. I get it, you’re Alpha and what… dragon King?”
“I am.”
“Yeah, so you’re used to giving orders and having them followed. I’m not the one, remember that,” Elliot warned.
“Funny, as a second, one would think you’d be used to taking orders. By wanting to remain a second, it must be so natural to you,” I taunted.
“Just cause you’re in charge, don’t think I’ll be your bitch,” Elliot retorted.
Again, I had to take another deep breath. When I was still half human and a younger wolf, I was used to having orders given to me, as I had to fight and kill my way to the top. But I’d been enjoying a life at the top and having him, this brutish beast-ass motherfucker tell me what I wasn’t going to do and what he wasn’t going to do was pissing me the fuck off. Still, he was my mate and we had to work something out. Two-hundred years was a long time to be loyal to a pack. To risk your life for that pack. He wasn’t going to give it up, I could tell. Especially since his loyalty was strongly connected to Deacon, the man who had saved him.
Most bonds were strong between wolves and their Alphas. That was, if the pup was treated fairly and with love. I didn’t have that with my Alpha, the wolf who’d turned me. And even though Deacon wasn’t the one who had turned Elliot, they had something special and very in-fucking-convenient to me. In any case, I was actually happy I hadn’t killed the bastard, or claiming Elliot might have been impossible.
“This is all something we can work out later. Right now, I’m still on a mission and need the element of surprise on my side… or at least, for my opponents to have a lack of preparation. You understand,” I said.
“I’m just glad your mate is on my side,” Deacon boasted.
“Humph, you should be.”
“Must be nice to talk such big shit,” he retorted.
“Only when I can back it up,” I shot back. Really, I could ping-pong shit talk all day, but I really did want to get to dragon territory and take out Evander. He, to me, was my biggest threat and a fight I was actually concerned about. One fuck-up and I was dead. I couldn’t let that happen and like Deacon, I wasn’t above playing a little dirty either. That was probably why I could respect Deacon’s approach to this battle even if others would frown upon it.
“We can work everything out later, but you know what I’m not relenting on,” Elliot said.
I gave him an offhanded gesture, because I’d heard enough. “Yeah, yeah… I know. Fuck.” I turned, walking back
toward my army, who were fully healed and ready to kick some more ass if and when I commanded it.
Giancarlo stepped up to me. “What is your command, Your Majesty?”
God, I loved hearing that and all the other ways they called me their leader. I licked my lips. “This pack is off limits.”
“For now?” Monroe questioned.
I shook my head. “My mate belongs to this pack, as well as being your future Alpha.”
“It is very rare for a dragon King to take a lover. One that he marries, or in your case, is bonded to, but when it happens, they are called Rajah,” Giancarlo informed me. That, of course, was news to me, as I hadn’t bothered to ask before. I didn’t think in a million years I’d find my mate on this venture.
I nodded. “Good to know. Then yes, he will become your Rajah.”
“Do you think you’re getting ahead of yourself here,” Monroe asked.
“Meaning?” I asked with a cocked brow. It was my way of warning him of questioning me in front of my army. Sometimes, our familiarity led him astray. He forgets himself and who I am because in private, we spoke on equal terms. But I wasn’t in the mood to be questioned on my decision. As always, I’d seen a future others doubted I could have. Even with good intentions the way Monroe was doing now.
He caught the meaning behind my expression. “We can talk later.”
“Yes, we will.” I walked past them both and they each took their place at my sides as I addressed my army. “As I was saying, your future Alpha and Rajah is here, that is why the battle was halted. For now, we move on. Evander is next. Monroe, I want you to stay here, protect this territory. I’m leaving battalion A here with you in case anything goes down. Make sure nothing happens to my mate. I’m trusting you.” I was leaving about two hundred wolves and dragons, and where the wolves were concerned, half were made by me and the other fifty had pledged their loyalty. That was my battalion A.
Monroe nodded. “I won’t let you down… even though I have my reservations.”
I chuckled, because Monroe was anything but subtle. I was sure the talk we’d have would be filled with his dislike for my mate. Truth be told, I wasn’t even sure if we’d make good mates. I could be wrong in my assumption, but Elliot came off as a total top to me, a dominate male. I was a top and a dominate male. But there was no mistaking the connection and perhaps fate was a bitch with a wicked cruel sense of humor.
“Battalion A, stay here, all others, come with me,” I commanded.
There were some questioning looks as they glanced at each other, but no one voiced their concerns, which was wise. Instead, those joining me turned and headed toward their cars. Even the dragons decided to ride instead of fly. We’d fly once we got closer, as Celestial Gardens was a distance from Forrest Grove. But soon, that would be mine and although Deacon may have managed to keep his current territories, the alliance we shared would be beneficial to me as much as it was to him. I was sure my mate would make that happen.
My mate… I had finally found him.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
Théoden
I opened my eyes and could sense I wasn’t alone. Supes always gave off a certain aura, a vibe if you will, one that was hard to mask. I looked to my left to see Tylendel sitting in a chair in the far corner of the room in the shadows. His green eyes peered at me and I felt something inside of me stir. My cock began to stiffen ever so slightly and by the smirk currently appearing on Ty’s face, I knew he could smell my lust for him.
“What is it?” I asked. I knew he had something on his mind if he was lurking the way he was. I was surprised to find him present as the last we’d spoken, he was leaving with Vex.
Ty sighed. “Josef can’t get in contact with Deacon,” he informed me. “They are waiting in Grand Park for any possible attack. If this wolf/dragon hybrid killed Deacon, it stands to reason we’re next on his list.”
“That is what we’ve been preparing for. Honestly, I’m surprised you’re still here. Last we spoke, you were heading back to your King,” I said. I wanted to know why he hadn’t.
I could sense my sons were also in the mansion. I could also smell their sexual aura all over Tylendel and knew he’d fucked Donovan. A part of me wanted to fuss because I hadn’t given them permission. But these were desperate times and I entrusted my sons with the freedom to make decisions such as the one to cure Donovan’s lust with a dragon’s cock. It was wise on their part, so I said nothing about it to Tylendel. Vampires in general had a very possessive nature and couple that with the hording nature of dragons, and one could understand why I didn’t like to share.
“Vex and I were leaving when our King ordered us to stay here. To give you aid if you are attacked,” Tylendel said.
“Two of his strongest Knights. I’m honored.”
“He didn’t do it for you, Théoden. If Kendrick does attack, the more of his army we can kill, or even Kendrick himself, means that he won’t ever have to be bothered and can simply gain more dragons from those left,” Tylendel said.
I sat up and swung my legs over the side of the bed. “I don’t need you to tell me that Evander didn’t do it for me. He’s a king, it’s just him playing this strategically smart. It’s what I would have done. Regardless of his reasoning, your aid is welcomed.”
I reached over on the nightstand and snatched up my cell phone. I called Deacon; the cell rang several times before going to his voicemail. I hung up and sent a text instead, demanding he call me back. A part of me wished I had my own human spy who could give me updates. Perhaps, I’d have some if we all survived this encounter with Kendrick.
I looked at Tylendel and snorted. “You look agitated.”
“I don’t like this threat and how powerful he is. I don’t like not knowing where he is,” Tylendel said.
“You and me both.” I rose and got dressed. I felt more energized than I had been before I took my nap. But I knew I needed to fuck and feed again to be at a hundred percent. Marco would need to feed on blood and cum for him to be in fighting condition.
“You need to feed,” Tylendel said, as if reading my mind.
“I do, are you offering?”
“One of the reasons why I was waiting for you. I figured you needed me,” he said.
I smiled, because it was always a pleasure to feed from him. I walked over to Tylendel, stopping between his legs. I reached over, stroking my fingers down the length of his sexy jawline. My god, he was beyond gorgeous. He held a sway over me only one other being did, and that was Ara. From time to time, my thoughts traveled back to the moment I’d lost my virginity. Tylendel’s cock was the first I’d ever experienced and to this day, I vividly remembered the pleasure he gave me. He opened my eyes and gave me something to live for.
“So, my old friend, what did you have in mind?” I winked.
“Something quick,” he said, then unzipped my pants and pulled my hardening cock out.
“A blowjob? You know I’m not a century old anymore. I have stamina. You said you wanted to make this quick,” I teased.
He arched an eyebrow. “Oh, don’t worry, this will be.”
He covered my cock with his mouth and I literally melted from ecstasy. He took me all the way inside, then pulled back, swirling his tongue around my shaft almost like a snake constricting. “Ahhhhh, fuuuck,” I purred. A blowjob from any dragon was always a treat, but one from Tylendel was a blessing. I quaked with pleasure as I felt my body become invigorated with energy. Ty was sucking me off, his head bobbing back and forth while his elongated tongue added the perfect amount of pressure as it stroked me up and down. Jesus Christ, he was going to make my knees buckle with this technique.
“Damn, what a sight to wake up to,” I heard Marco say.
I panted hard, my eyes closed tight as my fingers flexed. It was taking all of my own power to stay upright. “Feed from… Tylendel’s cock,” I ordered, the words barely making it from my lips.
“Don’t mind if I do,” Marco said.
I felt him positio
n himself between both my legs and decided to rest my weight on his massive back. I looked down to see him taking Ty’s dick out. My dragon friend was semi-hard, which was a testament to the amount of control he had over his body as always. Tylendel was never led by his desires, but in command of them and all others around him. He caressed the back of Marco’s head as my son sucked his cock with all his skill. I knew Marco wouldn’t be holding anything back, not with him wanting to impress Tylendel. It’d been a while since he’d had the pleasure of a dragon’s Knight’s cock and I knew he was anticipating devouring his seed.
As for me, I could hardly pay any attention to Marco while Tylendel gave my cock the presidential treatment. I could tell I wouldn’t last too much longer. No matter how old I was, I knew I’d always be a baby dragon to him. His skill could bring me to my knees, no matter how hard I tried to hold back. I felt his tongue slither into my urethra, tingling the inside of my dick with so much sensation, I cried out and gripped Tylendel’s shoulders in order to keep my balance. He was sucking my cock from the outside and stimulating my orgasm from the inside. This was just one of the ways dragons stood out from all the rest of us. The things they could do with their tongues was their special gift and you were lucky if they gave it to you.
“Ahhh, ahhhhh fuck… I’m coming,” I told him. There was no way I could go on, not with what he was doing to me. I could feel his tongue pulsating inside of me as it slid up and down, stroking the inside of my cock in the most intimate way possible. I was done, and he wasn’t lying when he said it would be quick. He pulled his tongue out and I squirted down his throat in a torrent of cum. I grunted and growled with each pump of spunk. My body shook uncontrollably as I came. Tylendel swallowed everything I gave him, he didn’t need it the way my sons did, but for a dragon, cum was the icing on the cake. He had been feeding from me the moment I opened my eyes, and he was also feeding from Marco, even as my son sucked his dick.
With the last drop of jizz, I had to pull my cock from Tylendel’s mouth. I was far too sensitive to let him suck any further. I stumbled backward, falling on the bed and laying on my side, panting. I trembled as waves of pleasure coursed through me, rendering me useless for the time being. I watched with half-lidded eyes, Tylendel laughing at me as he gripped Marco’s hair and began pumping his hips fast and hard against my son’s face.
