She bit down and he hissed at the edge of pain.

There was a serious risk Nathan would come in his pants. He couldn’t let that happen.

  “Bedroom. Now,” he grounded out.

“This is fine.” Her words were short and choppy. The way a runner would sound during a race. “Can’t move. Want you too much.”

  “Legs… around my waist.”

It took a second too long for her to respond. Nathan bent lower, scooping her in his arms.

  “Oh,” she giggled.

Max seemed to understand because he backed up and settled low on his haunches before lying down on the RV floor.

The blue hell bedroom seemed more inviting now that Nathan knew this would be the first place he made love to Symphony.

Symphony squealed in delight. The little minx had used her position in his arms to unbutton his shirt. He hissed in a breath when she brushed her fingers across the bare skin of his chest. The muscles there contracted and relaxed. The long muscle between his legs contracted, and pulsed. He wouldn’t last much longer.

“You’re a bad girl, Symphony Porter.”

She placed a kiss to the center of his chest, “I’m hoping with practice, I’ll be a very good girl.”

Nathan growled. He placed Symphony on her feet, not bothering to close the accordion door behind them.

  “Take off your clothes.”

She looked at him. Nathan watched as her hands came front and center. Button released on her shorts, the slow spread of the zippered teeth, sounded like the crackle of an open flame. His body relaxed, knowing what came next. In one fell swoop, Symphony lowered her shorts and electric blue undies to the floor. She stepped out of them. She turned and climbed on the bed, giving Nathan a perfect view of her round globes.

  He forgot to breathe.

Over one shoulder, she asked, “You coming?”

Seductress. His would-be virgin was seducing him. This was her game, and he was a more than willing player.

“Not for a long time,” Nathan pledged.

She still wore her long-sleeved boating shirt, but he wanted her naked beneath him. Eager to make it happen, he closed his grip around her left arm.

She yelped. Nathan released her quicker than drawing his hand away from a hot stove.

  “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she said, cradling her forearm.

  He didn’t believe her.

Symphony sat on her bare bottom, her back against the storage headboard.

  “Take off your shirt.”

She didn’t move. When he reached for her, she drew back. Nathan’s eyes shot to hers. Trepidation. His brows slammed together in frustration.

“My arm got hurt. It’s nothing.”

Nathan crossed his arms over his chest, waiting.

  “Shirt. Off.”

“You’re not the boss of me, Nathan Zachary.”

Fire backlit her eyes. Serious. She tried to start a fight. Nathan didn’t profess to understand all women, but he was learning this one. Little Blue was a master of redirection.

“You dropped your pants. For me. Flashed your bare ass. For me.” He softened his voice, “Take off the shirt, Symphony… for me.” It was a request, not a demand.

“Fine,” she pouted, coming onto her knees. “But, your foreplay could use a rewrite.”

Gosh, he loved that she didn’t give an inch, without taking one for herself. “Noted.” He pointed to her arm. “Stop stalling.”

Symphony made a production of pulling the shirt over her head. The reveal of the soft contour of her abdomen had him edging forward. The bra she wore barely contained her womanly mounds. Her breasts were spotlight worthy. When the shirt hit the bed, so did his tongue. He drank in every inch of her.

Then Symphony stole his breath; she reached behind her back with her left hand and unhooked her bra. The bra acted as a bright blue door, and the lock was off. Beautiful sun-kissed flesh filled his vision. The only thing that stopped him from falling on her were his legs hitting the foot of the bed.

Nathan’s body was tense, ready to claim, ready to mate. Every inch of her was sheer feminine perfection, until his eyes settled on the four-inch gauze bandage on her right forearm. An all too familiar dressing in his line of work. All firefighters were trained emergency medical technicians. He frowned.

“It’s a burn.” She shrugged, “I work in a bar and grill. Stuff happens.”

Nathan hadn’t realized Symphony helped out in the kitchen. He assumed she spent her time serving customers.

Symphony palmed her breasts, pressing her cleavage higher in offering and he forgot about customers and kitchens.

“Are we going to finish playing ravish the virgin?” Challenge clear in her eyes.

“Hell yeah,” he said, tossing his shirt aside, before unzipping his fly and stepping out of his jeans. “We’re about to play the hell out of this game.”

  ***

Nathan’s body was—big. Hard muscle abounded. Defined shoulders, sculpted pecs, and rippled abdomen. Symphony wanted this connection with him. Craved this man like she craved her next breath.

She stilled as Nathan climbed onto the king-sized bed and prowled toward her with the grace of a natural predator. It was the first time a man had entered her bedroom. Surrounded by blue, he looked like Poseidon rising out of the sea, ready to claim and conquer. His scent engulfed her, a potent aphrodisiac. Breathing deep, she inhaled a heady combination of aromatic wood and aroused male. Her breasts beaded in response, moisture flowed between her legs, readying her for Nathan. And he wanted her as much as she wanted him judging by the erection bobbing in his black boxers.

She shuddered when he took her chin and tipped her head up. The slit of his lips was firm and sure, and then it morphed into pure possession. The taste of him, smooth white chocolate and aged bourbon, exploded on her taste buds, hot and decadent. One day with Nathan and she knew she was addicted. Nothing, and no one would ever measure up against this man. Yet, rather than scare her, Symphony dove into him with the confidence of an Olympic swimmer. Stroking his tongue with hers until they both panted.

Nathan lowered her body onto the bed. His eyes drank her in, awe and masculine appreciation reflected in his gaze.

  “You’re beautiful.”

Symphony caught her breath. The absolute sincerity in his voice had her eyes tearing. Never did she imagine a man would look at her with such reverence in his eyes.

  “And you’re irresistible, Nathan.”

In an instant, he was on her. He crushed his mouth to hers. Kisses rained down on her jaw, her neck, and her breasts. Her body raced from dud to desire in seconds. Large hands palmed her backside, kneading and teasing her. His hands were a sensual melody on her body, creating a new song, a music deep inside her. A moan tumbled from her lips, and he heated her from the inside out.

Nathan broke the kiss on a growl as if he’d been led by some invisible force to release her.

“You have me under your spell, Blue.”

“Says the hot guy with the girl right where he wants her.” Her voice throaty with arousal.

As he made a slow trek down her body, planting moist kisses and surprisingly arousing bites to sensitive areas along her torso, Symphony’s body shuttered in pleasure. When his face stopped even with her sex, Symphony flushed. No one had ever looked at her there.

She jumped when she felt the rough pads of his fingers on the most intimate part of her.

“Relax, Blue. You’re beautiful everywhere, darling.”

With one long stroke of his tongue, Symphony dug her nails into his shoulders, holding him in place. Her toes curled in the bed covers. As the pressure increased from gentle to a sensual tug, like a match to a flame, fire ignited in her veins, on a steady path she’d never traveled before. Tension built in her belly, and then settled lower between her legs until she shook with the need for release.

Symphony begged him to make the pressure go away, pleaded him to stop, to start, to never qui
t.

  “Please, Nathan,” she begged.

At the sound of his name on her lips, Nathan granted her wish. He breached her entrance with his tongue.

Symphony came undone. Her stomach tightened, her thighs quivered, her channel pulsed, and then she felt it. She skyrocketed to another dimension with Nathan’s tongue stroking her center. Like a firecracker, she breeched the atmosphere, then she fell back to Earth, exploding in a kaleidoscope of color, sensation, and light.

When she could focus again, she saw that Nathan looked down at her, his hair tousled from her fingers, lips full, and smug satisfaction written as clear as a love letter.

“Condoms.” Nathan’s voice sounded rough at her ear.

Eyes closed, she reached under her pillow for the three-pack she’d grabbed at the grocer’s.

“I’ll never get enough of you,” Nathan said, kissing her lips.

Unashamed of her response to him, Symphony threw her arms around his neck, returning his kiss with equal fervor.

Nathan’s length pulsed between her legs. She opened herself to him. Protection in place, he drove forward and she winced.

“Symphony?” A tone of concern and shock colored his words.

“Yes.” He pushed his erection against her opening.

She quivered, the discomfort easing as her body surrendered to his advance.

Nathan dropped his hips, the movement pushing him deeper inside. In response, she tensed.

  “Blue… what’s that?”

“Doctors call it a hymen,” she teased.

  “Smart mouth.”

He grinned down at her, but his eyes were intense on her face. The gravity of her trust in him a tangible mass between them.

“Baby… let’s slow…” He moved to pull away.

Symphony wrapped her legs around his back, locking his body to hers.

“Stay,” she whispered, adjusting her hips to accommodate him. Emotion welled up inside her. What if he didn’t want her like this… inexperienced? She stiffened.

He must have sensed the direction of her thoughts. “I want you, Blue, but…”

She felt panicked. Her heart thudded in her chest at his impending rejection. “There’s no but,” she raised her voice. “I may be a virgin, but there’s no but when two people feel the way we do.”

He looked as if he disagreed. Symphony let her hands fall away from his face. Shame and ‘buts’ didn’t belong in her bedroom and neither did Nathan. She loosened her hold around his waist.

Like a hose filling with water, Symphony felt the corded muscle along his back go rigid.

  “Be sure, Symphony.”

He inhaled deep, a furrow between his brows. Symphony thought he looked somber for a man with a naked woman beneath him.

“No woman has ever given me what you’re offering… Blue, if you let me take you… you’re stuck with me.”

Was he as uncertain of her decision as she was of his? Maybe, he needed the reassurance she sought, too. Neither of them said a word.

His skillful hands resumed their slow perusal of her body.

Symphony stroked his back and the muscles along his spine relaxed. At the hesitation in his eyes, she gripped his face between her palms, the scrape of his beard stubble comforting against her skin.

“It’s okay, Nathan. I want this with you.”

“Then keep your hands on me. Don’t let go again.”

He laved at her breast with his tongue. “Knew you’d be sweet,” he murmured, as he took her nipple into his mouth.

A breathless sigh escaped her. His caresses were unhurried and reverent, like when he looked at her. It was a lover’s touch.

She trembled when his finger slipped between her folds. He circled her opening, spreading her dew over her nubbin. She gasped when he slid a finger inside her. Her head fell back, elongating her neck.

Nathan’s mouth left her breast. The cooler air touched where his mouth had been forming goose bumps on her skin.

“No… I want.” She quieted when his molten gray eyes met hers. A contained fire lit in his eyes, passion burning hot between them.

  “You want this?”

He grounded his erection into her pelvis.

“Every inch.” She gave her sexiest smile, goading him to lower his caution.

Nathan kissed her lips once more, deep and penetrating. When Symphony opened her eyes, his beautiful gray gaze was married to hers.

“Keep your eyes on me, Blue.”

Nathan pressed his hips forward. Symphony gasped. The feel of her unused body stretching in surrender to his invasion was magical. Nathan pushed deep. The hilt of his hardness cradled in her softness. Symphony cried out. She cried out in discomfort. He froze. His big body jerked like the shock of a burn on exposed skin, as if him causing her pain hurt him, too.

“I’ll love the pain away, darling.” He crooned.

Symphony squeezed her eyes shut. A tear spilled down her cheek. The warmth of Nathan’s lips, first against her right eyelid, then the left started a slow release of the tension.

  “Open your eyes, Blue.”

Compliance was slow, until he threaded his hands through hers, pinning her arms beside her head.

“Feel me, baby. You’re so tight and warm around me.”

With a sudden rush of awareness, Symphony realized the pain gave way to pleasure. She began to move in time to Nathan’s slow rhythm.

“That’s it, Blue. Just me and you.”

“Yes,” she moaned, as each rotation of his hips pushed her higher, surpassing the pleasure she’d felt with his mouth. Nathan’s rhythm increased, driving her to slam her hips up to meet his.

“No one else, Blue,” he panted, “No other man sees your body, but me. No other man touches you.”

Symphony never expected to be lost in sensation. Nathan felt magnificent inside her. Her body was one big pleasure center and he was the powerhouse feeding her flame.

“Symphony,” he drove into her, stealing her breath away. “No other men.”

“No… no one. Only you.” If she lost Nathan, no other lover would ever compare to him, to this moment in time.

“Wrap your legs tighter around me.”

This time she did as she was told.

Nathan buried his head in her neck and didn’t stop pistoning into her heat until she climaxed so hard she felt like an explosion had gone off in her head. Her very foundation released its hold on reality.

Symphony’s sex clamped down on Nathan’s hardness. An explosion of heat enraptured her. The orgasm was mind-altering. Nathan powered through her throbbing flesh and then froze. Above her, his body stiffened. She felt his erection pulsing rhythmically inside her channel setting off another wave of pleasure. Hot ropes of his release seared her channel, marking her. Nathan growled her name as he shuttered atop of her.

  “Symphony. Mine.”

Placing her lips to his sweat-drenched hair, she said, “And Nathan is mine.”

They were still in each other’s arms. Her weak as a lamb, him… him, hardening again.

She groaned when he flipped her onto her stomach and pushed a pillow under her hips. He used his knees to spread her legs farther apart, and then he pushed deep inside her.

  “Nathan… I have… work…”

Without a word, he thrust into her, robbing her of breath. Symphony clawed at the bed sheets as Nathan rode her fast and hard, driving them both to the brink of unconsciousness.

The glide of his tongue, hot and moist as he made a sensual trail from the bend of her neck to her earlobe had Symphony’s entire body barreling toward another orgasm.

“Where do you have to be?” His warm breath ragged with each word.

She felt intoxicated. Sweat coated her body, intensifying the fluid sound of flesh against flesh. Nathan had her swept up in his fire and she was drunk with sensation. Her mind melded with his, consumed in mutual carnal pleasure.

“Here,” she shuddered at the admission, “with you.”

  “That
’s what I thought you said.”

Nathan moved his hand from her hip to encircle her waist. Symphony found herself upright, her back pressed against his slick chest. His breathing, fast and audible behind her, relaxed better than a massage chair in a nail salon.

“You ready to go there with me?” He rolled his hips beneath hers. A slow advance followed by an even slower retreat. The heat of his skin was an arousing contrast to the cool moisture covering their bodies.

Unable to remain still, she clamped down on his erection before returning a thrust of her own. His free hand cupped her breast; she moaned her pleasure, when he pinched her nipple between his thumb and forefinger.

  “Yes, Nathan.”

His chuckle was low and satisfied. He knew exactly what he was doing to her, even if she didn’t. He’d taken her above the clouds twice, where exactly was there?

The last coherent words Symphony screamed were, “Don’t stop, almost… there.” She begged Nathan to stay inside her until he took her there and beyond. She wasn’t sure where her journey would end; but she felt as if she could touch the stars and not get burned.

  ***

Glancing around Symphony’s bedroom, Nathan thought he might get home and paint the whole house blue, his new favorite color. He pulled her flush to his side. With his arm around her back, she settled into his embrace, head tucked under his chin. Warm currents tickled the hairs covering his chest when she exhaled. So this was how it felt to be with a woman he cared about.

  “Blue.”

“Yes,” she purred, and Nathan’s masculine pride took a bow. Nothing did more for the male ego than satisfying his woman in bed.

“I like you.” Understatement. Nathan felt protective and possessive of the woman in his arms.

  “Me too, you.”

“The Firefighter’s Ball is coming up next week. I want you with me.” That sounded stupid to his own ears. He should’ve just asked her to be his date.

“You get nervous in front of crowds?”

He laughed, “There’s that quick wit I like.” He toyed with a tendril of her hair while she drew invisible circles on his chest. “I need a date.”
