The Storm's Gift

WAKING FROM a nap in Rory’s arms was glorious. Several moments later I needed more food. I grabbed Rory’s hand and pulled him to the kitchen.

  “Are you really a virgin?”

Rory’s question made my cheeks heat.

“Well, I mean, were you really a virgin?”

I nodded, my cheeks hot as I buried my head in my hands.

Rory pulled me close, pressing my ass against the kitchen counter. “Don’t be embarrassed. I was just asking because your cock-sucking skills are divine, and I’ve never been with a virgin.”

I pulled back to look closely at his face. It was Rory’s turn to blush. He lifted me onto the counter and spread my legs so his hips could nestle between mine. “I liked it.” Leaning in to kiss me, Rory gripped my ass as he deepened what started out as a brief kiss. “I liked it a lot.”

“Yeah?” I teased. How in the world had everything changed so quickly? Don’t question it. Just accept it as a fucking awesome early Christmas present. I smiled at the thought floating through my head.

“Mmhm, and it has me thinking all sorts of dirty things we could get into. Two weeks is a long time.” Rory nibbled my lips.

My shoulders slumped. Smiling the best I could, I nodded halfheartedly. “Sounds fun.”

  “But?” Rory frowned.

“But, I really wanted to spend Christmas with my family.” I fought the tears as my throat clenched. “And as much fun as two weeks of sex sounds, I don’t want to be your plaything or rebound or whatever this may be.”

“This is most definitely not a rebound. And as much as I want to play, you’re more than that. You’re smart, you’re driven, and you’re sexy as fuck. I don’t take sex lightly. If we decide to make something of this, it would be for real and not just two weeks of convenient fucking.”

“How do you know I’m smart and driven?” The squirmy mushy feeling in my stomach tickled at his kind words.

“I’m the head RA. I watch, I see things. I know you study constantly. I know your grades are almost perfect. And I know you’re committed to finishing your degree even though you seem to hate it here.” Rory watched me as he spoke. “Are you going to deny any of that?”

I blushed again and shook my head.

“So, why do you hate it here?”

I only shrugged, hoping Rory would drop the conversation.

Shaking his head, Rory motioned me toward the refrigerator and freezer in a momentary break from the original topic of discussion. “We need to keep this stuff cold since the power is out.”

I nodded and we loaded a staff cooler with frozen items and a cooler with cold items before toting them to the back door of the building. Placing the refrigerator tote in the cold space between the two doors, we then shoved the freezer tote out into the blinding ice and snowstorm. A snowdrift was piled higher than the door, but we tucked the tote into the snow before hightailing it back to the fireplace. Pulling blankets around us, we settled on the sofa.

“You didn’t answer my question,” Rory prodded.

I sighed. “I’ve known I liked guys ever since the age my friends started noticing the opposite sex. I was bullied, made fun of, and basically a social outcast, and that was before anyone even knew I was gay. I thought things would be different here.”

Rory listened intently before pulling me closer. “I’m sorry college didn’t start the way you wanted.” He kissed the side of my head. “But I’ve got to say, I’m glad no one snatched you up before I got the chance.”

I turned for a gentle kiss. “Yeah?” No one had ever shown interest in snatching me up. Could Rory really want something more?

“Definitely. I’m a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. You and I ending up at UNI, Jensen breaking up with me, this snowstorm forcing us together…. Maybe a lot of it has sucked in one way or another, but the circumstances gave me a chance to get to know you, and that doesn’t suck at all. Maybe we should consider it a gift. I mean, with it being Christmas and all.”

I gave Rory a goofy grin and kissed him. “As much as I miss my family, I can’t say that being stuck with you is the worst thing that has ever happened to me, so yes, I’ll consider this time together a very special gift.”

  Rory

WE ATE sub sandwiches we’d pulled from the make-do refrigerator tote. Thanks to the lack of power and the frigid weather, the sandwiches were very close to frozen. But at least we wouldn’t starve.

I kept James filled with hot chocolate warmed in the fireplace. He was no longer suffering any ill effects from the mild hypothermia, but I didn’t want him getting too cold again.

We sat as close to the fireplace as we could, and James taught me how to play Spoons. It was a card game I’d heard of most of my life, but had no clue how to play.

“It’s a lot more fun with more people.” James shuffled the cards and began to deal them after he’d explained the gist of the game. “We used to play at home, around the kitchen table. It always got rowdy and rough. Mom broke a nail once.” He laughed at the memory. “And Granddad flung a spoon through the window. We switched to plasticware after that.”

In the middle of our tenth hand, the electricity came back on. Between the howling wind, pelting ice, and the fact it had already flickered, the return of power was probably short-lived.

“I’m going to take a quick shower. Think you can heat up a couple of frozen pizzas if I pull them from the deep-freeze snow drift?” I hustled to the kitchen and turned the knobs on the oven. “I’ll be quick and then you can shower. We need to take advantage of the lights, heat, and hot water while we’ve got it. And that is the only reason I’m not suggesting a long, shared shower.”

“Good thinking. A warm shower sounds great.” James smiled and rubbed both hands up and down his arms as he shivered.

“Still cold?” I grabbed him by the waist and pulled him close. “Be sure to get yourself extra clean so we can continue our fun a little later.” I winked at James and smiled at the blush filling his face. Having electricity back provided the light I needed to see him better. He was absolutely stunning in a cute, shy, nerdy way. I paused just inches from his face. “You up for that?”

James closed the distance between us, grabbing the back of my head and pulling me in for a kiss. For a guy who hadn’t had a lot of experience, he was an absolute natural. I’d been shorter and more slightly built than Jensen, a fact he always boasted about. But James was a bit shorter than me, and I probably outweighed him by about twenty pounds. Having the smaller man wrapped tight in my arms as his lips clung to mine was definitely a new and very enjoyable experience.

James pulled away and smirked. “I can say without a doubt that I will for sure be up for that.” He rocked his hips against mine, and I couldn’t help the little moan of anticipation that escaped my lips.

After retrieving the frozen pizzas from the snow, I left James in the kitchen, charging his phone and preparing our dinner. I trotted to my room and grabbed some supplies for the shower. The water was hot and refreshing. I scrubbed my body and hair and took some extra time prepping for what I could only hope would take place later.

Leaving some extra “preparation” supplies on the sink for James to use if he wanted, I returned to the kitchen.

“Your turn. Shower before the power goes out again.” Even as I spoke, the building rattled from the battering wind and driving snow.

James turned with tears in his eyes.

My heart sank. While I was thrilled with the surprising turn of events that had James and I stuck together, I knew he was heartbroken over missing Christmas with his family. “What’s wrong?”

James sniffled. “My parents and Granddad have moved to an emergency shelter. Even if I could get home for Christmas, no one is there to celebrate with me.”

“Hey, at least they are safe from the storm. And you’re safe here.” I pulled him close for a hug. “I know I’m not a substitute for your family, but I promise to try to give you the best,
or at least the most unique Christmas you’ve ever had.” Kissing his ear and along his jawline, I continued, “And, as soon as the snow is cleared, I’ll make sure you get home to visit.”

James turned so that my kisses landed on his lips. Smiling slightly, he whispered against my mouth, “Maybe you can come home to visit with me?”

His blush traveled all the way to his ears. How in the world was I kissing and promising trips home to visit the family of a guy I’d just met? I had no clue, but the instant connection James and I had didn’t feel wrong. Maybe the speed and intensity of what James and I had should have felt strange, but holding him in my arms and planning road trips felt exactly right.

“Go on, go take your shower. Stay in as long as you’d like. I’ve got a surprise for you, but it’s going to take me a while to prepare, so a loooong shower is perfect.” Kissing the tip of his nose, I turned him toward the bathroom.

As soon as he was gone, I checked the pizzas before dashing to the storage closet. I knew the dorm didn’t have much of what I needed, but I figured I could at least scrape together a few things. I wanted to give James a Christmas, even if it was just a Christmas in Cromwell.

  Chapter 6

  James

FOR A full minute, I stood and stared at the box Rory had left on the bathroom counter. Hand shaking, I pulled out my phone to look up directions for how to use an enema. Holy shit. I started my break as a virgin, planning to spend Christmas with my family. Now, I’m snowed in with a gorgeous guy and preparing my ass for sex. I took a deep breath to fight the flutter of nervousness in my belly. Breaking out in a cold sweat, I watched the video once more to make sure I knew what I was doing.

Over an hour later, I emerged from the bathroom feeling warm, relaxed and squeaky-clean. My face burned at the thought of Rory knowing why my shower took so long. Walking into the common area, I forgot all of my embarrassment. All I could see was Rory’s perfect ass as he stretched to put the star on top of a twinkling Christmas tree.

My heart stuttered in my chest as Rory faced me. He spread out his arms to indicate the tree, the lights, and the decorations.

“Did you do this for me?” The words caught in my throat as they fought their way past the tears.

Rory shrugged sheepishly. “I mean, the tree has seen better days, and the decorations are likely from before you were born, but….”

I rushed him, jumping into his arms. Wrapping my arms and legs tightly around his body, I kissed him hard and fast. “It’s the most perfect tree I’ve ever seen.”

“Then you’ve seen some pretty pathetic trees.” Rory laughed against my lips. “But I’m glad you like it.”

“I do. I love it.” Pressing my forehead against his, I closed my eyes and enjoyed being held. No one had ever done anything so sweet for me, and it tugged at my heart. What did it all mean?

“So, the pizza is ready, but I’m not really hungry right now.”

Rory’s words shot straight to my dick.

“I’m hungry.” I put my all into the kiss, hoping Rory would understand my intent.

Gripping me tightly, Rory walked around the common area and switched off the main lights so only the glow of the fire and Christmas tree remained.

After depositing me gently by the fireplace, Rory rummaged through the duffel bag he’d brought with him after his shower. He produced condoms and a bottle of lube, and tossed them to the side before joining me on the blanket on the floor.

“What do you like?” His words caressed my ear as he pulled me close.

“I have no idea.” My inexperience and lack of confidence reared its ugly head.

Rory stroked my cock through my pants as he allowed me to think about his question.

I hoped my whimper would be enough to answer his question. “I really have no idea what I’m doing, but….” I bit my lip.

“Tell me.” Rory took over nibbling my lip before tonguing away the sting. “It’s so fuckin’ hot to hear you tell me what you want.”

My face was burning from the fire and my blush, but I loved that I was turning Rory on. “Anytime I’ve ever imagined having sex, I always picture myself as the bottom. I’d really like to try that.”

Rory groaned and kissed me deeply. Once he’d separated from me just long enough to strip me of my clothes, he quickly removed his own before pulling me against his warm body. His hard strength holding me tight was everything I’d ever imagined being in a man’s arms would be.

“Will it hurt much?” I felt like a total wimp asking, but it was a real concern.

“I’ll make sure you’re prepped. It will likely burn a little, but you can tell me to stop at any time. No questions asked.” Rory kissed me. “Turn over.” He rolled me onto my stomach and lifted my ass.

I’d never felt so exposed and turned on in my entire life. Rory trailed kisses down my spine while he stroked my cock, and I nearly wept. When his hands parted my asscheeks and his tongue licked at my hole, I was sure I’d pass out. “Oh, fuck.” I panted, gripping his fist to slow the pumping motion on my dick. “Slow down or I’ll be done before we even start.”

“We’ve got time to play and explore.” Rory blew soft, hot breaths against my sensitive skin as he reached for the lube.

A single slick finger teased at my ass, and I gasped. The burning sting as Rory breached my hole was as breathtaking and initially painful as I’d always heard it to be. As my body relaxed, Rory added another finger, and I had to grip the base of my cock to keep from blowing.

“I can’t wait any longer.” I spoke through gritted teeth. “Want you now.”

Rory slid in a third finger for a final stretch before he rolled to his back. “Come here.” He stroked his cock.

Crawling up his body, I paused long enough to grab the condom before taking Rory’s beautiful cock deep in my mouth.

“Fuck, baby….” Rory gasped as he thrust his hips up from the blanket. “Straddle me.” Rory pulled my lips from his cock and positioned me where he wanted before sheathing himself. “You can control everything best this way.” He teased my ass with his cock. “Sit on me. Go slow and let your muscles adjust.”

I’d never been so afraid of something and excited for it at the same time. Moving slightly so that the head of Rory’s cock was pressing against my pucker, I lowered myself slowly. The burning sensation was much more than with Rory’s fingers, but the stretch wasn’t completely unpleasant.

“Oh, damn, you’re so fuckin’ tight.” Rory panted through gritted teeth as he waited for me to sink my ass the rest of the way down his impressive length.

When I’d finally taken him completely, I paused to catch my breath. The completeness I felt with him inside my body was overwhelming.

“You okay?” Rory gripped my hips.

“It hurts a little, but it’s not all bad.” I bit my lip and attempted to move. “So full, so good.” I whimpered and lifted myself up slightly. The sensation of Rory’s cock filling me again made me moan.

Rory sat up and pulled me close. Chest to chest, his cock stroking deep, Rory kissed me. Thrusting slowly, he whispered, “Never been like this. So fuckin’ good.” Kissing me again, Rory shivered. “Feels so right.”

I basked in the glow of Rory’s praise as he rocked up into my ass over and over. My body began to shake wrapped in Rory’s strong arms. I reached between us and stroked my cock. With one deep thrust of Rory’s cock, I unloaded all over his smooth tight stomach.

Rory pushed me to my back, gently pulled out and removed the condom. He gripped his cock and pumped into his fist once, twice, three times before he shot his hot release onto my skin.

Rory dropped to his stomach with a groan, our sticky bellies coming together as he gathered me in his arms.

“That was fuckin’ amazing.” He kissed me slow and deep. “Are you okay?” Rory’s concern was genuine and touching.

“I’m so much more than okay,” I whispered as tears threatened again for the umpteenth time since the snowstorm began. “Thank you.”<

“We should shower in case we lose power again.” Rory’s words were soft against my ear, but he made no move to get up.

“Yeah, we should.” I didn’t want the moment to end either.

“I’m really sorry you couldn’t go home for Christmas.” Rory hugged me tight. “But having you all to myself is an unexpectedly wonderful gift.”

“Yeah, just some fun and games before things return to normal.” I couldn’t help the bitter tone in my voice.

“What do you mean?” Rory pulled back to look me in the eye.

“Well, I figure this is just to pass the time. Once the second semester starts, you’ll be busy with classes and RA duties and friends.” And I’ll go back to being the invisible loser. I took a deep breath, trying to steel myself against the reality of my heretofore college experience. “I’m so grateful for the scholarship, but I almost wish I’d lose it so I’d have a reason to pack up and go home.”

Rory frowned. “You don’t seem to get it. I told you before, I don’t do random hookups. You’re not just sex, and then I toss you to the curb.” He kissed me and then met my gaze. “I mean, if you don’t want to keep seeing me, that can be your choice, but I’d really like to see where this goes.”

It was my turn to frown. “You’re a senior. I’m a freshman. You’re popular. I’m not.”

“So? And I’m not sure popular is the right word. I’m known around campus basically because of my RA position, but that’s about the extent of it.”

“So, what are your friends going to think of you being with me?” I wanted more than anything to spend more time with Rory, but I didn’t see how it would possibly work. “I clearly suck in the making-friends department.”

“Most of my recent friends left about the same time Jensen did. If the ones who stuck around have a problem with me seeing you, then they aren’t really my friends. And, I will gladly help you learn to make friends. We can make them together.” Rory kissed me again. “Let’s see how the semester goes. We don’t have to make any huge decisions right now. You’ve got to at least keep me around long enough to take that road trip home with you.”
