New Hearts Old Flame

Jasmine couldn't stop smiling, as she drove there. Her weekend away with Drew had revived her body and soul.
“Good morning Mrs. Potts.” Jasmine seemed to sing the woman's name.
“Hello. Did you do something different to your hair?”
No, but I did get some...
Jasmine grinned to herself. “No, why'd you ask?”
“It looks different, in a good way.”
“It must be my new shampoo.”
“Oh, I see.” Mrs. Potts watched as Jasmine walked away. She was a woman too, and she knew what mind-blowing sex looked like.
Inside her office Jasmine barely had a chance to put her things down, when her phone chimed.
Drew: Thinking about you.
Received: 8:30 AM.
Jasmine bit her bottom lip, she thought of her reply before sending it back.
Jasmine: I'm thinking of you too.
Delivered: 8:32 AM.
When Drew didn't text back, Jasmine got started on her day. She planned to get a lot done and needed to stay clear minded. For the most part, she stayed busy. Only spacing out a few times, as she reminisced on her weekend with Drew. She hadn't spoken to Tessa or Lisa since she'd gotten back. Nor had she returned her mother's calls.
“Your office is coming together better than mine. What time did you come in?” Avery asked, standing in the doorway.
Jasmine looked over at the clock, it was already two in the afternoon.
“I got here around eight-thirty.”
“And you haven't taken a break?”
“Nope.”
“Well, it's time for one. Come on, you pay and I'll drive.”
“Excuse me?” Jasmine frowned. “You mean you'll drive and you'll pay.”
Avery laughed. “Alright, you drive a hard bargain. Could you at least pick a place.”
Jasmine rolled her eyes. “Have you ever been to Melon Breeze?”
“A few years ago, but I heard the place is under new management.”
“Yeah it is.” she said smiling.
“I take it you and plus one went there.”
“Yes we did. His name is Drew, remember.”
Avery mimicked her playfully.
“We're heading to lunch Mrs. Potts. Do you want us to bring you something back?” Avery offered.
“No thank you Dr. Grant. I brought my lunch today.”
Avery and Jasmine proceeded out the door.
Jasmine opened the door to Avery's Dodge Ram, and climbed up. It reminded her of a monster truck.
On the way to the restaurant, they discussed the up-coming party he and Lisa were having. When they arrived, the parking lot was almost full.
“I guess the new management help to improve business,” Avery said, turning around full circle.
Inside, they sat by the window. Their server, was the same person that waited on Jasmine and Drew.
“Hello, you're back again,” the waitress said.
Jasmine smiled at the young lady, well aware of what she implied.
“Yes, I am. What was your name again?”
“Shelby.”
“Nice to see you again Shelby. My friend hasn't been here in a while, could you recommend something for him.”
Jasmine peeped the change in the waitress expression. It was clear she thought they were a couple.
“Of course ma'am.”
Shelby went over the menu and the special of the day. After both Avery and Jasmine placed their order, she took the menus away.
“Do you like him?”
“Of course.”
“You know what I'm asking.”
She placed her hands in her lap. “Can I see myself with him? In a serious relationship?”
Avery raised his eyebrow questionably.
“It's too early to say. At the moment, I'm just enjoying his company.”
Jasmine didn't tell Avery, about her weekend away with Drew, and she suspected Lisa hadn't as well.
“What exactly did Lisa tell you?”
Avery laughed. “Nothing. Just that he's a very lucrative businessman.”
“And...”
“She said he owns everything.”
Jasmine shook her head, and was grateful when Shelby returned with their order. She needed an excuse to stop talking about Drew.
“Well, I think I've found my new favorite spot.” Avery's eyes lit up as he stared at his plate.
Jasmine chuckled before eating a bite of her food.
Later that evening, she returned her mother's call then took a shower. She stayed up later than usual, waiting to see if Drew would call. When he didn't, she sent him a text.
Jasmine: Good night.
Delivered: 9:30 PM.
Drew: Night.
Received: 9:33PM.
On the way upstairs, she double-checked her doors and alarm system. She peeked outside, and noticed her friend with the car had returned.
“Who are you?”
Jasmine wondered if he'd been there while she was gone. For a second, she contemplated calling Drew.
“Go to bed Jaz.”
As she climbed the stairs, the idea of getting a watch dog popped into her head.
Tuesday's were always better than Monday's Jasmine thought, except for this one. She had a list of patients she needed to see, which included two new ones.
“Ms. Williams, your ten o'clock appointment is here.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Potts. Can you walk them back?”
“Sure thing.”
When the door opened and Chanel walked in, Jasmine almost lost it. Casting a smile, she waited for Mrs. Potts to leave. Instead of cursing her out, Jasmine maintain her professional mannerism and gave the woman the benefit of the doubt.
“How can I help you Chanel?”
Chanel sat in one of the chairs, facing Jasmine's desk.
“I believe it's 'me' that's here to help 'you'.”
Jasmine crossed her arms and remained standing. “Is that a fact.”
“Yes, call it a warning if you may.”
Jasmine raised an eyebrow. Walking over, she sat on her desk.
“I hope you're not telling me to stay away from Drew.”
“No, of course not,” Chanel said. She crossed her legs and wrapped her hands around her knees. “However, he is unavailable. Emotionally that is. Drew is incapable of loving someone other than himself. Considering your expertise, I figured you would've realized that by now.”
Jasmine tapped her chin. “Hmm. You know this, but you're still chasing after him.”
Chanel shrugged. “Hey, I never said I was perfect, we all have a weakness.”
“True, or maybe you're just a masochist.”
Chanel laughed and threw her head back.
Jasmine expected a different reaction.
“When I first saw you, I had you pegged as timid. Now I see, you're really a bitch.”
Jasmine smiled, unaffected by Chanel's words.
“Well, you know what they say. It takes one to know one.”
Chanel stood and walked over towards the desk. Only inches away from Jasmine.
“I like you, and I can see why Drew likes you too. Has he told you how much he enjoys threesomes? Perhaps...”
Jasmine pushed off the desk, closing the gap between her and Chanel.
“I believe you know where the door is.”
Chanel smiled and strutted over to the door. After opening it, she shot Jasmine a look before walking out.
Jasmine was furious, and she wanted to call Drew. She decided to wait until he came back. They hadn't spoken since the other night, and that was through text. When her phone buzzed, she hoped it was him, instead it was Tessa. She and Lisa were dying to hear the details, from her weekend.
Jasmine: We can meet tomorrow.
Really busy today.
Delivered: 10:35 AM.
Jasmine put her phone on the desk and mentally prepared herself for the next patient.
Chapter Thirteen
Catching Fee
lings.
W ednesday, Drew stared out at the city of New York, like he had done so many times before. He was still waiting for the DNA results. Things had gotten so busy on Tuesday, he neglected to call Jasmine. Jake had been keeping an eye on her, and kept him informed of her whereabouts. Drew missed her. Her smile flashed in his head. Her laugh echoed in his ear. It wasn't supposed to be like this.
“Damn.”
After debating with himself, Drew picked up the phone, and dialed her number. When it went to voicemail, he became impatient and tried Jake's number next.
“Yes sir.”
“Where is Ms. Williams?”
“She's at work sir.”
Drew check the time, it was eleven o'clock. “Thanks.” He hung up with Jake, and decided to dial Jasmine's office line.
“Jasmine Williams speaking, how can I help you?”
“You can start by telling me, why you didn't answer my phone call.”
“Drew?”
“The one and only.”
“When did you call me?”
“A few minutes ago.”
Jasmine searched for her cell phone, she found it inside her briefcase. She had been so disoriented that morning, she forgot to take it out.
“I'm sorry, I left my phone in my briefcase.”
“I guess I can forgive you.” he said. “Under one condition.”
“What's that Mr. Watts?”
“I get to kiss you, when I see you.”
Jasmine laughed.
“Is that a yes?”
“Did you even have to ask?”
Drew froze. That had been something he and Nina always said to each other.
“What did you say?”
“I said, did you even have to ask?”
He remained quiet for a second. “No, I guess not... What are you doing?”
“I'm preparing for my next patient. They'll be here in five minutes.”
“I Should let you go.”
“Yes, you should.”
“I don't want to. I hate goodbyes.”
She chuckled at his childlike behavior and found it cute. “I do too, but I need to go.”
“OK, I'll call you tonight.”
Jasmine stopped herself from saying goodbye. “K.”
Later that day, Jasmine pulled into the parking lot of Blue Tavern. She wasn't too excited about meeting there. Perhaps if Damien and Drew didn't know each other, it wouldn't have bothered her as much. Jasmine felt awkward seeing Damien. It had been more than timing, that kept them from moving forward. She simply hadn't been attracted to him that way. Once inside, she spotted Tessa and Lisa at the bar, talking to him.
“What's up ladies, and gentlemen.”
Damien nodded, acknowledging her.
“Hey boo!” Tessa said, as Lisa stood to give Jasmine a hug.
Damien patted the bar. “I'll let you three catch up.” He gave Jasmine a side eye, before walking off.
Once he left the table, Tessa started with the questionnaire.
“Was the sex good? Judging from the way you look, it must have been.”
Jasmine sat between them, and signaled for the bartender.
“The sex was better than good.” With a dramatic blink, she bit her lip. “I have never been...”
“Fucked like that before,” Tessa said, finishing Jasmine's sentence.
Lisa spit out her drink, unable to control her laughter.
Tessa folded her arms. “What happened to sex being overrated?”
“You were right, I stand corrected.” Jasmine took a sip of her wine and placed her elbow on the bar.
“So where is he now? Are you seeing him again?” Lisa asked.
“He's in New York and yes, when he gets back.”
“Is this serious?” Lisa stared at Jasmine, waiting for her answer.
“I'm not sure.”
“You should keep things casual,” Tessa said. “Live in the moment.”
Nothing was casual about Drew, Jasmine thought to herself.
When she arrived home, it was eight-thirty. She hadn't heard from Drew since that morning. In the shower, she enjoyed the warmness of the water as it ran over her skin. Thoughts of her and Drew in the hot tub, crept into her mind. Jasmine roamed her hands over her body, while she pictured them together. She tried to satisfy herself, but it was hopeless. Nothing could compare to his touch.
Stepping out of the shower, she wrapped the towel around her body and walked over to the night stand. The sound of the doorbell made her pause. It was nine o'clock, she had no idea, who would be at her door. Jasmine slipped into her robe, and cautiously walked down the stairs. The doorbell rung again, before she could reach the bottom step.
“Who is it?”
She glanced out the window. Her friend in the car, sat parked across the street. There was also a black Maserati, in her driveway.
Already knowing who she would find, she opened the door.
“Drew? What are you doing here?”
“Hello to you too.” he said, walking in.
Jasmine closed the door and turned to face him. “I didn't mean it like that. When I talked to you this morning, you were still in New York.”
Drew moved closer. “I told you, I hate goodbyes.”
He rubbed the side of her face with his hand. Jasmine could feel the heat from his body, as he stood in her personal space. Tilting her chin upward, he kissed her lips. It was tender and endearing, an unexpected delight.
His lips released hers, but his hand held on to her chin.
“I missed you.”
She gazed into his eyes, they'd become her weakness. When he leaned in closer, his erection pressed into her. Reaching up she combed her fingers through his hair, and kissed him again.
It was intense, and filled with yearning. She yelped when he picked her up.
“Hold on tight.” Drew carried her upstairs to the bedroom. Laying her down on the bed, he untied her robe. “Is this how you answer the door?”
She looked down at herself. Her nakedness had slipped her mind.
“Jasmine?”
“No, you kept ringing the doorbell and...”
“Shh.” He put his finger on her lips and trailed it down to her breast. After drawing a circle around her nipple, he gently pinched it.
This is what she wanted and craved. Jasmine couldn't deny his control over her body. She moaned when he leaned down and grazed her nipple with his teeth. She began to undress him, she needed his skin against hers. With him naked, she managed to maneuver herself on top, catching him by surprise.
“Tricky, tricky.” Drew tugged her head down for a kiss.
She nibbled on his lip and chin, before trailing kisses down his body. When she reached his erection, Jasmine found herself infatuated by its thickness and curve. Each time she licked him, he throbbed. She slid him inside her mouth, until she was all the way down. Jasmine repeated the steps over and over. She smiled at Drew's admiration for her technique.
“What are you doing to me?”
Jasmine chuckled softly. “You like?”
“Mmm, yesss. Come here, I want you to ride me.”
With obedience, she climbed on top and planted her hands on his chest. Moans of pleasure escaped her mouth as she adjusted to him.
His hands gripped her waist, while he guided her up and down. His heart wanted to fall in love with her, but his head wouldn't allow him to. All the emotions Drew never wanted to experience, weighed him down. This was only supposed to be physical. Each time his dick slid inside her, he lost control of the situation.
Jasmine began to grind against him, taking more of him inside her. She became overwhelmed by his size and cried out his name. Jasmine wondered how she survived so long without this. Without him. She arched her back as Drew increased their speed, making her bounce harder and faster. She sensed the change happening inside her.
“Drew!”
“I know!”
Like a volcano he erupted. Breathless Jasmine held on to him, soaki
ng up every ounce. She stayed there for a moment, before climbing off and laying beside him. Unsure why, Jasmine remembered her conversation with Chanel. It wasn't the best time, but she decided to tell him anyway.
“Chanel came to my office yesterday.”
Drew's eyes shot open. “Why didn't you tell me?”
“I'm telling you now.” She saw the anger on his face.
“I'll talk to her.”
“I don't think that's necessary.”
Drew sat up, and looked at her. “What did the two of you talk about?”
“You.”
Drew scoffed. “Obviously.”
Jasmine didn't care for his tone. Getting out of bed, she walked towards the bathroom.
“Jaz wait. Shit.” He cursed under his breath, before going after her. “I'm sorry.” Drew stood behind her and stared at her reflection in the mirror. “What did Chanel tell you.”
Jasmine glowered back, then turned to face him.
“She said you were emotionally unavailable.” Jasmine left the incapable of loving and threesome part out.
Drew looked away, and stayed silent for a moment.
“I haven't been in a committed relationship in ten years.”
“Since Nina?”
He nodded.
“What about Chanel?”
“That was sex.”
Jasmine's eyes widen. “How long?”
“Almost two years. Before her, there was someone else for two years. And so on.”
Jasmine tried to wrap her head around what he was saying.
“Let me get this straight. You change women every two years?”
Drew shrugged. “I guess you could say that.”
“And it was only sex?... All these women were OK with this?”
“Yes.”
“Is that what you want from me?”
Drew didn't speak.
“It is, isn't it.” Jasmine folded her arms across her chest.
“No, it's not like that with you.”
“Why is that? What makes me different?”
He stared at her, she was beautiful and naked. He wanted to fuck her right there at the sink. Then they both could see her face, when she came for him. But he knew she was upset, she had every right to be.
