The Colonel's Man

“Very okay.” He smiled down at her. “Have I told you how beautiful, amazing and sexy you are?”

  “Not for about ten minutes.”

She lifted up on her toes and pressed a lingering kiss against his lips. Her eyes sparkled with happiness as she pulled back, fingers curled around his upper arms for balance. He loved that, how she automatically looked to him for support. Trusting that he had her back whether she was dolled up in her wedding gown, or wielding an assault carbine on some backwater planet somewhere. “When was the last time I told you I think you’re handsome, funny and…”

“Oh gawd, can we break up the lovefest here?” Drew’s familiar drawl broke in. “How about you two get a room before you make all us singletons feel sick with how loved up you are?”

Jason curled his lip and shook his head.

“Ignore him honey he’s jealous and terrified he’d end up alone forever now that he has to share me with you from now on.” He made a face at Drew and just to spite him, leaned down to give Arita one of the love drenched kisses his best man would have considered sickly sweet.

He didn’t lift his head until her breathing was compromised and her fingers curled into the fine fabric of his jacket. God, all he wanted to do was carry her off, away from all these people, and take his time stripping her wedding gown from her delectable body…

He broke away, lifted his head to find her eyes dark and dazed. Satisfaction filled him, humming through every cell of his body. She was his, and only his.

“God this is so sappy…” Drew grumbled but his eyes were smiling. The heavy worlder draped an arm over Jason’s shoulder and grinned. “Congratulations mate. Congratulations to the both of you. So boss, being the best man and all, does this mean I get a raise or extra vacation time?”

Arita snorted, signaling to one of the attendants that she was ready to throw the bouquet. “Not a chance, handsome. I’ve got a nice little mission lined up for you while we’re off on honeymoon. Infiltration work, should be right up your street.”

“Aww man…” Drew whined as Jason clapped him in the chest. “Sorry buddy. No rest for the wicked. Maybe when you get married, you might get a break. I’m sure you’ll find a nice girl out there. Someone who’d be able to tolerate you almost as much as me. Won’t he darling?”

Arita chuckled, choosing to shoo Drew in front of her as she stepped forwards. Jason’s face broke into a grin as he saw what Drew hadn’t and the bigger man was suddenly corralled by a herd of women, all with their eyes firmly on the bouquet in Arita’s hands. But she had her target set. With a short whistle through her teeth she got Drew’s attention and threw the flowers directly at his chest.

Amidst some sounds of disappointment from the ladies and some applause from the guests, Jason guffawed at the sight of his partner’s stupefied expression as his big hands held the very feminine bouquet. “Oh buddy…that really suits you.”

“What the…oh hell no!” Drew protested as he handled the flowers the same way as he would unexploded ordnance.

Arita smiled serenely as she returned to Jason’s side, sliding her hand into his. He looked down, a fond smile on his face as she murmured the words he’d been waiting all night to hear.

“Do you think we’ve been here long enough now?”

  “Oh yeah. Much too long.”

He looked around at the dense crowd, distracted by Drew’s shenanigans and the band that started to play on the stage. His smile turned to amusement.

“I don’t think it’d be too hard for the two of us to slip away undetected.”

She grinned and the two of them staged the most important and nerve-wracking escape and evasion operation of their lives as they snuck out of their own wedding reception without his mother being aware of it.

Once in the corridor he pounced, ignoring her squeaks to scoop Arita into his arms in a flurry of satin and skirts. He made short work of the lock to one of the best suites in the hotel and already had her giggling in bed before the door clicked shut behind them.

“There are times,” he managed breathlessly after sharing a torrid kiss, “that I try to wake myself. Trying to see if it’s a dream and then hoping I never wake up.” He smiled longingly as he lightly stroked her luscious lower lip with his thumb. “Dreams become reality.”

She licked his thumb, the quick dart of her little pink tongue and the accompanying wet heat sending a blaze of need through him.

“You stopped the nightmares, and brought peace. When you were injured…” she paused, her brow furrowing in pain. “I was terrified that you’d died and left me. On that planet… Drew had to stop me or I’d have gone after you. Don’t ever do that to me again. Promise!”

“I’m sorry I made you feel that way. I would never dream of doing anything to hurt you. I would never want to see you hurt.” He lifted her hand and pressed a wet, hot kiss into the center of her palm. “That day… I knew what I had to do so you could get out. You were the only one in my heart and in my mind then. You’re still the only one now and always.” He kissed the top curve of her breast over her heart, sending it racing. “I promise.”

“You’re so beautiful…” His hand slipped under her skirts and caressed its way up her stockinged leg. He paused to teasingly caress the silky bare skin of her inner thigh. She moaned when Jason’s fingers encountered her hot, wet flesh and he smiled at his bride, pleasantly surprised. “Wow…”

“Well, there was a lot about old things, and new things and something blue.” She smiled, her expression sultry. “It didn’t say anything about underwear so I substituted one of my people’s customs. Tralaxian women don’t wear anything under their bridal robes.”

“Oh that’s a great tradition…” He groaned as his cock shot to attention in half a second. He gathered her juices with his finger, making it slick as he skated over her feminine folds.

“Maybe something we can extend to other things than just bridal wear…” His suggestion was a growl as the digit slid inside the moist entrance to her body and tunneled to reach her hot center.

She bit her lip, eyes fluttering closed as he withdrew, then added another finger to the first to fuck her slowly. Every slide was slick and wet, the sheer eroticism of the situation—pleasuring his bride while she was still in her wedding gown—made his pants less like clothing and more like torture for his cock.

Leaning down, he claimed her lips, adding his thumb to press over her clit as he ruthlessly drove her toward her climax.

Fuck, she felt so hot lying beneath him; the white, pristine gown lending an air of class and innocence as she writhed in ecstasy while he finger fucked her. Her tongue was playful against his as he took possession of her hot mouth, tasting her intoxicating sweetness that was more overpowering than champagne.

She wriggled and moaned, the sound lost in his mouth. He couldn’t imagine anything more perfect than this moment, unless it was replacing his fingers with his cock and sliding into her warm heat. Nipping her full lower lip, he suckled it gently as her hands pushed at his jacket, then his shirt, prying the buttons apart so she could touch his skin.

He groaned as her fingernails raked across him, the sensation electric. Her hands were merciless tormentors, running all over his chest and teasing the flat brown discs of his nipples.

“Oh two can play at this game honey…” He growled as he slid down her body and flipped her skirts up revealing an infinitely erotic sight; his fingers deep in her hot, wet pussy.

He positioned himself between her thighs, spread her pink lips with his other hand and enveloped her clit with his mouth; suckling her juices as he continued to finger fuck her. She cried out but he ignored her, using every weapon at his disposal to take her to the edge. He wanted her to come, wanted to feel the rush of heat and tightness around his fingers as she did. Then, when she was still panting and writhing in pleasure, he would finally take her. Sliding into her hot, tight sheath and make her his wife in every sense of the word.

  “Oh spirits…Jason!”

Her voice was breathy, catching as he flicked his tongue rapidly over her clit. Then, when he felt the first flutters deep in her pussy, he suckled her clit hard. She screamed, his name he noted in satisfaction, as her body clenched hard around his fingers buried deep inside her.

As her body was inundated by wave after wave of bliss, Jason wasted no time. He groaned in relief and anticipation as his cock sprang forth from its confinement. He poised himself over her slick femininity and with one sure thrust, he made them one.

“Fuck…” He growled in pleasure, the sound of a man struggling for control as her tight, wet channel enveloped him, massaging his rigid shaft with every spasm that wracked her body.

Jason took a moment to savor the feeling then raised her leg over his, shifting the angle to delight them both; his hips moving into a timeless rhythm. He gazed into her slumberous eyes, watching her face as he made her feel how much he cherished her; a way that no words could ever express.

Every ounce of emotion he felt, he poured into their embrace, loving her in slow, deep strokes as endearments tumbled from his lips. Incomplete sentences, they made no sense, but that didn’t matter. All that mattered was the deep rumble of his voice, the sweet nothings in her ear as he took her, each and every stroke an affirmation of the vows they’d made earlier.

Each moan she made, he memorized, wrapping them and the memory of her face, filled with pleasure, around his heart. It was heaven, coming home and eternity all wrapped into one perfect moment, and he never wanted it to end. But the feeling of her wrapped tight around his cock was overwhelming. The needs of his body over-rode all else and his thrusts became harder, deeper. Tension racked his frame, his balls tightening as white-heat flared through him.

  “Jason…”

The breathy murmur of his name and her hands frantic at his chest had been his undoing. He wanted to be at his strongest, at his hardest for her. He wanted to be at his best, to bring pleasure to their union. He brought them both to the brink of ecstasy and with one final thrust, sent them both hurtling beyond. Her cries mingled with his as he experienced completion so encompassing it took his breath away along with what little remained of fear and doubt.

Breathless, content and unwilling to forsake the heavenly repose of her tight sheath, he rolled them both over and held her tightly against his chest. Every delicious shudder they shared. Their hearts seeming to beat as one.

  “My life…my love… Mine, forever.”

She shifted slightly, a soft contented sound slipping from her lips. The sound of happiness.

  “Forever.”

  About J. William Mitchell

A resident of a tropical paradise in the South Pacific, Will spent his formative years surrounded by sun, sand and the sea. However, as he grew older, the sand and sea got left behind in the coast, leaving him with way too much sun and an extra helping of smog that left him a little crispy.

First hooked on writing since he was nine, his first machine had been an old clunky typewriter, but he quickly graduated to a computer when the metal antique reminded him way too much of his typing instructor…and the sound her wooden ruler made smacking him on the hands.

When he’s not working as a business consultant, Will spends his time arguing politics with his pet rock, but when the inspiration strikes, he leaps to his keyboard with the dexterity of a leopard…or an amped up gerbil, depending if he’s had way too much coffee again. Of course, as a diehard coffee addict, he would never say there’s such a thing as “too much coffee.”
