  Jo ran round the bed gasping, “I never said I wouldn’t make love with you. Only that being pregnant all the time would stop me from doing a good job as your Queen. Please don’t be angry, if you want to make love to me, I’ll always be here for you. I enjoy our lovemaking as much as you do. Come, let me show you how much” and she lay on the bed, opening her arms to him.

What I need is not to stop making love, but good contraception”.

  Acorus looked at her in surprise”. Contraception, what is that?”

  It was Jo’s turn to look surprised “Don’t you have it on Scerior? Oh, that’s a silly question of course you don’t, you’ve never needed it. Well, contraception is methods that are used to stop humans having unwanted pregnancies. I don’t think that rubbers would be good, especially when I am ovulating, but there are pills I could take which would stop me ovulating. That means we could have sex whenever we wanted to. Then when the time is right, I stop taking the pill and can have babies again”.

  “You have these pills on Earth?”

  “Yes, all we have to do is break into a chemist’s or pill factory. There are many different makes, so it would be a good idea to get lots of each” Jo explained.

  “If we got some samples, our scientists would be able to make more here” Acorus said thoughtfully” Are they safe?”

  “Yes, humans have had them for a good fifty years, so they’ve been well tested”.

  “That is something we will think about for our next visit to Earth. But at the moment I have a more pressing matter” and he started to move inside her again.   Pulling her across his lap Acorus slapped her bottom and said “You will do what I tell you to do!”

  Jo put her hand between his legs and grabbed him again, not too hard this time.

  “I surrender, I surrender” he laughed “I am beaten”.

  “Our daughter is telling me that I’ve missed lunch, so do you think you could arrange some food before I pass out through weakness” she asked, rolling off his lap.

  “You are always hungry for something” Acorus grumbled getting out of bed and going to the door, went into the main room, crossed it and opening the outer door spoke to the guards.

  When he got back into the bedroom Jo looked at him open mouthed and said “You haven’t got any clothes on”.

  “I don’t think I can bear to put anything on my injury, maybe you should rub it better!”

  “You are incorrigible” Jo laughed getting up. She collected two kaftans, slipping one on and handing the other to him “Shall I ask the guards to call a doctor?”

  With that she left the bedroom chuckling to herself.

  Tchu, Tsera and Khala came in with refreshments and laid the table. Jo thanked them and sitting down filled her plate. She poured a drink for herself and Acorus and started to eat. When he joined her she said “Sorry, I was too hungry to wait, what I ate earlier didn’t quench my appetite”.

  He shook his head saying “I’ve made a sweet innocent female into a harlot”.

  Jo grinned and said “Aren’t you lucky?”

  He chuckled to himself and piling his plate high started to eat “I need my energy this afternoon. My soldiers are practising hand to hand combat after lunch and I must be there to show that I practise too”.

  “Can I come and watch?”

  “No, females don’t do things like that”.

  “On Earth we do. I was learning judo and personal defence techniques. Some of it came in very useful” Jo said raising her eyebrows.

  “Humans are very strange; females are not strong enough to fight”.

  “We have women wrestlers, boxers, martial arts black belts, and soldiers” she protested.

  “How do your males put up with that?”

  “Men and women are considered equals on Earth. The men think it’s good” Jo was getting cross now.

  Seeing this Acorus changed the subject “How are your lessons in Sceria and telepathy coming on?”

  “You are changing the subject!”

  “Yes but I would like to know” Acorus insisted.

  “I haven’t had much time lately, as you should know. I’ve been kept a bit busy” looking at him Jo grinned cheekily “Of course I could give up other things and concentrate on them”.

  “You are asking for another spanking” he growled.

  “Oh no, now I’m really frightened” Jo gasped but when Acorus pushed quickly out of his chair, she squeaked for real and shouted “Pax, pax”.

  He frowned and said “What by all your gods does that mean?”

  “It’s Latin, I think it means. I give in or peace or something. But honestly I’m too exhausted for any more romps” Jo begged.

  He laughed and sat down “Just kidding, pax”.

  They finished eat
ing, talking about seeing the Queen and the things that must be sorted out before that happened. Then Acorus said that he must go or he would be late for training. He told Jo to rest and that he would be back for supper. After he had left, Tchu and Tjai came in to clear the dishes, so Jo asked Tchu if they could continue with her Sceria and telepathy lessons. Tchu said after Jo had a shower, massage and rest, they would practise for a while, so Jo did as she was told and went off for her shower.

  Chapter 24

  Acorus came back in time for supper. To Jo’s surprise he wasn’t wearing his body armour, but just a pair of skin hugging shorts and a tunic like a tee shirt. He had a towel round his neck, was sweating profusely and had bruises on his face. He headed straight into the shower followed by Khala. When the shower stopped Jo went into the bathroom to find him on the massage table with Khala massaging him vigorously. She leaned against the wall and asked if he was alright. He smiled and said that his younger soldiers were getting stronger and he was getting older and weaker.

  Jo raised her eyebrows and said that hopefully when they started the brothels the young soldiers would be weakened too. Acorus choked on what he was going to say as Khala put his head down and pummelled him vigorously. Jo went back into the main chamber and through to Kylie’s room where she found her curled up on the bed reading a book “Are you going to join us for supper?” Jo asked.

  “You look good Jo. Was Acorus alright, he seemed so angry. I get really frightened when he looks like that, although he’s never been like that with me. I don’t know how you stand it!”

  “Yes, he was angry. I thought he was going to rape me again”, and then Jo told Kylie what she had done and how they had sorted it out.

  “My god, he could have killed you for hurting him. Don’t forget when his blood is up, he is programmed to kill his enemies. They are trained from children” Kylie said, trying to instil some self preservation into Jo.

  Jo smiled sadly “I’m afraid that I can’t pretend to be something I’m not. If he hadn’t seen reason then he would have had to kill me. If he doesn’t respect me then what is the point?”

  Kylie shook her head in awe, “No wonder he wants you to be his Queen. As long as you don’t kill each other, you will be fantastic for Scerior”.

  Jo smiled and thought ‘And maybe one day fantastic for Earth’, but all she said was “Well are you coming for supper?”

  “No, thanks for the invite, but I’m comfortable here” Kylie said “I’ll catch up with you tomorrow”.

  “Goodnight love, sleep well” and Jo went back into the main chamber.

  Acorus was sitting on a couch with his feet up drinking out of a clear long tumbler.

  “That looks good” Jo commented “What is it?”

  “It’s made from fruit and cereal, fermented and then left to mature, and it is quite potent”.

  “Can I try some?”

  “It’s on the table, but only try very little. It isn’t good for you now that you are pregnant” Acorus cautioned.

  Jo went to the table and poured herself a drop out of a clear carafe. Just then the Escorii came in with supper. When they had laid it out Jo filled a plate for herself and Acorus.

  Going back to where he was sitting Jo handed him the plate and said “Don’t move, you poor old soldier. You must take it easy, now you are in your dotage”.

  Taking the plate from her he grinned “We’ll see who’s a poor old soldier after I’ve eaten. By the way, is Kylie joining us for supper?”

  “No, I went in to see her and she’s curled up with a good book, feeling too comfortable to move”.

  “Ah, ha, that means this old soldier won’t have to move once he’s eaten, to prove that there’s life in the old dog yet” raising his eyebrows with his eyes glinting lustfully, he looked at his crotch, where sure enough something was moving.

  Jo slapped him, and moving to the couch opposite told him to behave, as they had serious things to talk about. Acorus agreed, saying that it was only a couple of days before he left for Earth. They discussed the points that needed to be raised before the Queen and Council, with Jo adding that they should tell them about contraception. He didn’t like that idea, telling her that it was something females should talk about. But Jo told him that if he was going to raid Earth for them it was only right that they should be told. After a lot of discussion, Jo agreed to talk to the Queen and council after Acorus left the room.

  Then Jo put forward an idea that had been on her mind for the past few days “I think I should come with you on your trip”.

  Immediately he told her no way!

  “Please listen to my reasons for coming and then tell me your reasons for me not coming” she pleaded

  Knowing that this was important to her he said that he would listen before he said ‘no’.

  Frowning at him Jo laid out her reasons.

  If they wanted the new girls to be less traumatised it would help if they saw her serene and happy.

  She could help pick out the prostitutes.

  She could tell the Escorii what pills to take.

  If she was with the soldiers in their body armour, she could tell the girls that that was all it was.

  He sat silently, obviously trying to think of reasons he could use to say no “Right” he said,

  You’re pregnant and tire easily.

  You might catch a disease.

  The girls would probably be so frightened or angry they might attack you.

  How could he concentrate on his duties if she was with him?

  Jo laughed and replied “Your quarters on the ship are as comfortable as my room here and I would have Tchu and Tjai to look after me. I lived on Earth for eighteen years so have an inbuilt immunity, remembering too that I was vaccinated against a lot of diseases as a baby. Also I won’t go near the girls until they are screened. After all, on this trip they are being screened as soon as they reach the ship, unconscious, and any who don’t pass are being returned to Earth. Aren’t they? As for being attacked, I would have the Escorii and your soldiers to protect me. And finally, control your sexual urges!

  “You have become very argumentative. I have given you too much freedom” he growled unable to deny her reasoning.

  Laughing, Jo put her plate down and went to his couch “Be honest, that is what you like about me. Also this and this and ...” she trailed off with a gasp as he deftly pulled her half underneath him and grabbing her hair pulled her face up to be kissed “Don’t play with a monster, if you can’t take the consequences” he groaned as his aching body felt his desire.

  Knowing that she must push her advantage, Jo ran her hand down his body, reaching for his growing manhood she said “And besides, what would you do without me for weeks?”

  “By the time we return from Earth the baby will be too big to allow your body to accommodate me” groaning as she moved her hand up and down Acorus felt ready to burst.

  “I’ve already shown you that I don’t need that part of my body to pleasure you. Please say you’ll think about it, Acorus”.

  Pulling her underneath him while keeping his weight off her, he pushed up her kaftan and entered her gently. They moved together in perfect unison until that moment when they climaxed together.

  Easing her to one side, he frowned at her and said “Not fair, Jo-Anna. You use my desire for you as a tool to curb me”.

  She smiled sweetly at him and said “Women on Earth have been using that ploy for thousands of years, how do you think we have managed to become the emancipated women we are today? But joking aside, Acorus, I have too much pride to use sex against you. Either you are happy for me to come with you or, or I won’t keep on about it. I want it to be the right and logical thing to do”.

  “We will put the idea to the Council tomorrow. Now I must sleep. I will see you in the morning”. />
  “No” protested Jo “I don’t want us to sleep separately. I enjoy cuddling up to you and falling asleep”.

  “But Jo-Anna”, he protested “If I wake up wanting you, I won’t be able to deny myself”.

  “That’s a risk we must both take, because it I wake up first, I can’t promise to leave you alone!” Jo said grinning at him.

  Muttering to himself that he had spawned his own monster. Acorus picked her up and carried her into the bedroom. Dropping her on the bed he said “Get ready for bed; I’m going to say goodnight to Kylie”.

  Before he could leave, Jo said “Acorus, Kylie told me she misses you cuddling her. Be nice to her, she needs to know that you still care for her”.

  Going to the bed he kissed her forehead and said “You are a truly wonderful woman. You worry about others more than yourself. Don’t worry; I will always care for Kylie”.

  “She knows you care for her but she still needs to know that she’s attractive to you. She needs you to kiss and cuddle her like you’ve always done”.

  “But she hates ma... um sex” Acorus protested.

  “I don’t mean have sex with her, don’t you dare, you’re mine”, Jo joked “All she needs is for you to cuddle her like you still find her attractive”.

  “I don’t know if that’s possible, after all I’ve mated with her many times, I may succumb” it was Acorus’s turn to tease Jo.

  “Oh go away you dreadful man” Jo snapped.

  Muttering to himself that if all females on Earth were anything like Jo, he was glad he wasn’t a ‘man’, he went in to see Kylie.

  Jo washed and got ready for bed. Picking up her book she got into bed and settled down to read. It was in the early hours of the morning before Acorus crept into bed. Jo stirred and murmured in her sleep, and he lay down behind her and wrapped her in his arms.

  Kissing the back he said “Goodnight my crazy, brave, caring girl” Putting his head on the pillow he surrendered to sleep, Jo feeling him behind her snuggled closer and smiling to herself, went back to sleep too.
