About that time, the crowd really went quiet, and when Corey glanced around, he saw why. Justin stood across the room, looking down his nose at everyone in the place. His muscles were rippling as his nostrils flared. He walked over to the two men.

The man looked up from his knees and laughed. “Your ass is toast now, mother fucker. That’s Justin’s girl you’re messing with. I told you. You don’t belong here.”

Justin walked over and stood directly in front of Corey, and then he glanced down at the asshole who was still on his knees running his mouth. “What happened?”

  “This pussy was—”

Justin looked down at the man. “I didn’t ask you.” He looked back to Corey.

“Just some bullshit, man. Nothing I can’t handle.”

“This is my friend, Corey. He’s in town staying with me. If any of you have a fucking problem with that, you can hit the fucking door.” He reached down, grabbed the man by the collar, and lifted him up as Corey let him go.

Justin towered above the sawed-off prick. “My bad,” said the man. “I was just looking out for Brandy, man.”

“More like trying to get in my pants, Pete, but you and me? We know that ain’t ever going to happen.” She turned her beer up and grabbed hold of Corey’s arm.

Justin met Corey’s eyes and leaned in to whisper, “I told you she was trouble.” He smiled and shook his head. “You two should join me in the other room.”

Brandy grabbed herself another beer and passed Corey a longneck of his own. Then she grabbed his hand, and they headed out to the other area as Justin stayed behind. A minute later, they were sitting at his table, and he was on his way back as Brandy made introductions.

  “This is Lolly and Beth.”

“Pleasure to meet you,” said the one called Beth. “You’re almost as handsome as Justin.”

Corey turned to look at Brandy to see if she agreed, but she didn’t give away her opinion.

Justin returned to the table. “Are you two already talking about me?”

“We missed you,” said Lolly. “You had me so turned on, and you just left.”

Justin gave Corey a sharp look as if to say, “See what you interrupted”. But then he laughed and pulled the woman closer to kiss her lips. The other woman hung onto Justin’s arm for dear life as if vying for his attention. But Justin was pretty good at spreading himself around.

Brandy punched his arm. “I can’t believe you weren’t here five minutes, and you already started a fight.”

“It wasn’t my fault, but what would you have me do? Sit there?”

“You’re lucky that was just Pete. If it had been his friend Dave, you might be picking your teeth up off the floor.” She rolled her eyes and looked away, and he could tell she was really upset with him.

He reached over and took her hand. “I’m really sorry.”

Justin cleared his throat, but Corey wasn’t pulling his hand back. Justin had two gorgeous women, and it was only fair that Corey be free to try with Brandy.

“Fine, I accept your apology.” She scooted closer and brought her arms around him for a soft peck on her lips.

“Mm, kisses,” said Lolly, and she leaned in and kissed Beth, who giggled. Justin looked over the two women’s heads and glared at Corey.

Justin’s jaw seemed to set tight, and just when Corey thought he was going to complain, Lolly turned her head to kiss him, and Beth nuzzled his ear. He whispered something to the two women, and they got up and walked away, both still getting cozy with the other.

Justin turned to Brandy. “You know he’s not staying long, right?” He gave her a moment to nod and then turned to Corey. “I mean, that’s your intention, is it not? To leave as soon as you get shit sorted?”

“Yeah, I’ve never told her any different.” Corey had to respect the fact that Justin was so protective of her.

“Fine, it’s your heartbreak. Do what you want, and you have my blessing.” He got up and straightened his pants. “I’ve got to go home and take care of those two. They’re wound up tight tonight.” He gave Corey a wink and headed out.

“Sorry,” said Brandy. “The men around here are crazy.”

“That’s because they all like you. Which isn’t a bad thing. And I think Justin looks at you like family.”

She nodded. “He does. He’s very protective.”

Corey felt compelled to makes sure she understood. “I don’t want to hurt you or mislead you, Brandy. That’s not my intention, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to kiss you again and see where that goes.”

“I can handle it. Trust me. I’m a strong girl. Besides, I’d like to kiss you again too, only I know exactly where it’s going to lead.”

Corey loved her confidence, and it was definitely attractive. “Oh yeah, where’s that?”

She gave him a wide smile. “Come on. I’ll take you there.”

He took her hand, and she led him out of the bar and to his Jeep. “Did you bring a car?”

She laughed. “All I have is my bike, but I got a ride in. I was hoping that some hot guy would take me home at the end of the night.”

“I hope you got your wish and he was hot enough for you.” He leaned in and kissed her and then unlocked the door so she could climb inside.

After they kissed some more and he started the Jeep, he drove her back toward home. When they pulled up at the store and parked out back, he assumed they were going to go to her place. Instead, she walked over to the back of the store, punched in a security code, and opened the back door.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“Taking you to the first place I stayed when I came here.”

“I thought you stayed with Justin.” He wondered if she’d told him the full truth of her story and how she came to be there with his friend.

She turned to give him a bright smile. “Well, eventually, yes. I came here first.” She led him through the double doors into the store, past the gun counter, and on past the fishing department where they took a left and stopped right next to the tent display.

She smiled down at the tent, which was fully set up with sleeping bags and a fake campfire. “There it is.”

  “You slept in the tent?”

“I did. I managed to sleep here a few nights before Justin caught on. That’s when he gave me the place in the back where you’re staying, and eventually, I got to buy my trailer.”

She took his hand, led him up onto the display riser, and unzipped the tent. Inside was a sleeping bag and a few camping-sized travel pillows. Brandy crawled over, and Corey followed, pulling her into his lap when he sat down.

“This sleeping bag wasn’t here,” he said. “I know. I looked inside to see if there was anything in here.”

She smiled. “I did this after you agreed to come to the bar.”

That surprised him. “You had this planned. You little sneak. You knew all along you were going to bring me here?”

She gave him a soft “Mhm” and then pulled her T-shirt up over her head. She tossed the shirt aside and then began working on Corey’s buttons slowly, one by one until they were all undone, even his pants. She pushed the shirt off his shoulder and moved off of his lap to finish undressing.

He pulled off his shoes and pants and wondered if they’d end up on some type of security footage as he reached out and brought her gorgeous, naked body closer to his.

As he kissed her breasts and caressed her back and shoulders, he slipped one hand down between her legs to touch her.

She gave a sharp intake of breath and then reached for his cock so he’d do the same. After the sensations of the first touch were past, he stroked her soft swollen bud between her legs until finally he penetrated her with his fingers.

He worked her over, stroking and rubbing her G-spot, and after she had her first release, she pushed him back and jumped up into his lap, her legs falling astride him and her lips parting around his shaft. “I want this,” she said. “If it’s all of you I’ll ever have, I
want it.”

He grabbed her hips and lifted her up, placing her on his cock. She was so tiny, he continued to bounce her up and down, and she threw her head back, moaning out his name, whining and grinding against him as she rode him with a steady pace.

He had wanted to milk it for all it was worth, and while he tried to make it last, he was too worked up. “I’m going to come.” His words were an apology, but then she came hard again, grinding on his cock.

“Please, please yes.” She was lost in ecstasy, and he wasn’t about to pull out if she didn’t want him to. So against his better judgment, he shot his load deep, and she continued to ride him until each and every drop had spilled.

Her mouth fell on his, and she collapsed onto his chest, nuzzling against him.

The two lay there until they were deep in sleep and still joined together below.

  Chapter 15

  Darek

Darek felt a warm hand slip down into his boxers and begin to rub his morning wood. He rolled over, gave Raven better access, and moaned at how good it felt.

He barely opened his eyes to look at her before she moved down under the sheets to take him into her mouth.

“Fuck,” he said with a tired voice. His dick hurt from all the rough fucking, but apparently, she would kiss it all the better for him. He rested his hand on her head and closed his eyes, and sure enough, because nothing was ever perfect, the phone rang.

“Fuck it, they can wait,” he said. “Oh, that’s so good. Oh god, yes. I love your tongue, baby.” His eyes rolled back in his head, and he thought of all the dirty places that tongue of hers had been the night before.

He’d let her do all sorts of kinky things to him, and while he didn’t let her get too wild with his ass, she had shown him how good a finger could feel. He was a little sore, but he actually wanted more, and suddenly, as if reading his mind, she delivered. She stroked against it, and soon, her wet finger, which she’d moistened between her own legs, slipped into his back end just a tiny bit.

“You’re going to ruin me,” he said, not quite sure how he felt about the new adventure. It felt good enough, sure, but he didn’t want it to become a habit.

She rose up out of the covers and lifted one leg over his hips to straddle his cock, and as she held it upright, she lowered herself, taking it inside her inch by precious inch.

He reached up, and while looking at her face, her closed eyes, her lips parted as she panted, he didn’t think anyone could be any more beautiful. Maybe Lizzy. Yes, Lizzy. He closed his own eyes as hers opened and tried to imagine her on his cock. While it was a nice thought, there was just no comparing the two. Lizzy didn’t fuck him the same way. She made love with him, while Raven was more content to make him wear cock rings and slip her fingers into tight places. With Raven, it was hardcore fucking, but with Lizzy, it was like making tender love.

Raven bounced harder, working up a steady rhythm as she moaned out and came all over his cock, the juices so plenty, they splashed out of her pussy and soaked his balls.

The phone rang again, and he growled as he gripped her hips and lifted her up to turn her over. She landed on all fours, and then her face went down into the pillows as he rough-fucked her ass from behind. She was so tight, and before he could come, her next orgasm erupted, soaking the sheets below as it ran down her legs. He pushed hard, giving her ass a slap as he filled her up.

He backed away and slapped her ass again. “You’re so good, baby.” He kissed her shoulder as she sat up.

  “I’m going to go shower.”

“I’ll see who is bothering me, and then I’ll join you.” He gave her a quick peck, and she got up and headed to the bathroom.

He laid back on the sheets and looked at his phone. “Fucking Bay Collins,” he mumbled.

Darek glanced up to make sure she was gone and dialed him back.

He answered the phone with his usual disposition. “When I call, you answer, mother fucker.”

“Not when I’m buried ten inches in pussy, my friend.” Darek wasn’t usually so open with Bay, but what the fuck? The man had been on his last nerve since they were kids.

  “Only ten?” Bay teased.

Darek ignored his jab. “What’s up?”

Bay growled like a mad dog. “What the fuck do you mean, what’s up? I turn on the TV and see this cult dweeb Ophi claiming to be the fucking thirteenth Zodiac, and you want to know what’s up?”

“I was going to call you, but I was making up for lost time with a friend.”

Bay huffed. “Well, since you’re no longer fucking your partner, how is Raven these days?”

Darek hated that Bay could figure him out so easily, and it only proved that the man was too fucking consumed with Darek’s life and he needed to get a new friend. Not that he liked to claim Bay as such.

“I was going to call you. The man has my partner thinking he’s the one. I’m not convinced, naturally, because I can’t see a connection to any of us, but that’s what I wanted to propose to you. We need to get with the others.”

“Get with them, as in call them?” Bay asked. “Because I know you don’t want to really meet up with them, not like all in one place, right?”

“Yes, that’s exactly what I want to do. We need to get together so we can make sure this isn’t connected by one of the other guys, and it wouldn’t hurt to ensure that they aren’t up to something.”

“Do you have any idea how hard it’s going to be to get them to meet? Half of them owe me money, and the others are just plain hard to pin down. Lane’s been swamped with his new restaurant. Carter’s got his fucking megachurch and all of his disciples to worry about. Then there’s Ethan and his singing career, dating scandal drama.”

“I know they are all terribly busy, but—”

“They?” Bay laughed. “They don’t call me the goddamned Slayer because I’m sitting on my ass all day. I’m busy too.”

Darek knew it had to be tough taking on the caseload that he had, but he was also sure Bay could take a couple of days if needed, especially on the weekend. “I’m telling you, I want to see them all together in one fucking room. I need to know that we’re all at least on the same fucking page and that no one goes off killing each other.” Darek knew that Bay had to be responsible for some of the deaths, like Logan’s prison mishap, but he still thought the man wouldn’t want them to do the killer’s bidding. That took away too much of his control. “We need to meet somewhere.”

“How about New Orleans? Lane is there, and with the restaurant, he’s not going to be able to ditch for too long. Besides, this way, he can feed us.”

“I guess, but I need your help getting in touch with the guys.”

“Why? They’ll trust you more than me.”

“No way. You’re their fearless leader, remember?” Darek didn’t like sounding so defensive, but he wasn’t getting stuck organizing this alone.

“They’ll trust you because in the end, you did the right thing.” Bay’s voice was very matter-of-fact and lacking all emotion, and Darek knew better than to take that as a compliment.

“I still can’t get Corey and Alan, and I’m not one hundred percent sure that they aren’t dead somewhere. Could you call them? I can’t do this all alone.”

“I tried already after your first plea.” He sighed. “Fine. I’ll call them and Lane and talk him into letting us use the restaurant. A public place in a private room is best. That way we know there won’t be any tricks. But I’m not calling fucking Carter Hamilton. I don’t have time for his sermon bullshit.”

“I’ll call Carter, Ethan, and Justin. They shouldn’t be too hard to convince if they know their lives depend on us figuring this shit out.”

“You better let me call Justin,” said Bay. “He hates cops. Any cop.”

Darek knew Justin had a lot of wild ideas about the government and the FBI. He knew Bay was right. “Okay. Thanks.”

“Who is this shit who turned himself in?” asked Bay. He seemed totally offended, and i
t was probably because the man had taken credit for being the leader.

“As far as I can tell, he’s just some whacko. He claims that he’s from Barnard’s star in the Ophiuchus constellation. And that he’s been sent here by his people to cleanse the Earth of all bad people and take the good home with him. He claims that a massive cleanse is about to happen.”

“Sounds like he has to take a big shit. All I know is, I don’t like this one bit.” He let out a huff, and Darek rolled his eyes. The man was pouting like an overgrown child.

“He’s a distraction, Bay. Someone who can help keep the department’s attention on him so that I can help you and the others figure out who is really after us.”

“They are, aren’t they?” asked Bay, and Darek knew he was referring to the killer.

“After us? Yes. I don’t think this asshole discriminates.”

“It’s going to come down to us, you know? Our turn will come, and when it does, I’m not going out like some little bitch. I’m going to fight whether it’s some asshole who thinks he’s from outer space or someone else who thinks tangling with me is a good idea.”

“That’s why we need to get together,” said Darek. “We’re dying out there alone, but together, maybe we stand a chance.”

  Chapter 16

  Corey

It was strange waking up with someone in his arms and then having sex with them all over again. He and Brandy had woken up in the tent only to go for round two, which was even hotter than round one the night before.

They had sneaked out of the tent and gone to her trailer to shower and have breakfast before work, and they couldn’t keep their hands and mouths off each other.

An hour later as she dressed for work, the face of reality, and knowing what he was, weighed down on him. The idea that Brandy might be falling a little too deep, as deep as he was, just might be a problem. He felt a little guilty that she didn’t know the real him, and he knew he was going to have to cut ties with her one day. The very thought of it messed him up.
