From what was determined later, about 50 miles from the Scio ship the incoming rockets simply disappeared. No trace was every discovered of the ten rockets with nuclear war heads on each one.

In the war room, all mouths were hanging open. A loud gasp was heard when the lights went out. In a few seconds the backup generator kicked in casting a yellowish glow about the room. The world's leaders were all sitting at a table on the raised back part of the room. In a blink of an eye, they were gone along with a few military generals. On every face a look of startlement was seen.

The war room boss stood with a perplex look on his face wondering where the world leaders went. Then a voice was heard. "We've taken the humans responsible where they will cause us no more problems. All of you go home and prepare for transportation very soon. If you will do an inventory check of the planets nuclear war heads, you'll find there are none. We've removed Earth's capability of mutual destruction. You humans need to pass the word. There will be no toleration from Scio with protesters or aggressors."

Matt and team members were hashing over what the meeting contained concerning all of them.

JB said, "From an old man's point of view, I heard what they wanted us to hear. The real life will be seen and felt day after day here. We can make do with what's presented or we can fight a losing battle."

"Sounds kind of negative," Gwen replied. "However, you're usually right. What we need is a way or method to communicate with all of our Earth's friends. What I mean is we need a way to pass a message to keep in touch with and not let other human's fade into never never land.

  AFTERWORD

A novel tells a story that's interesting and believable. It must also have believable characters to relate to. However, it doesn't necessarily have to contain a happy ending. In this novel we leave the human race with hope for a better future. It would appear only the aliens know the future and man must work productively towards a happy future.

Frankly speaking, this novel has no ending only a beginning. If this were to truly happen, I think mankind would do just fine under rules and regulations by an alien civilization far in advanced of our meager selves. I hope you enjoy the story.
