“I don’t know, but you’re not cold as ice. You’re as warm and soft as a teddy bear.”
“Oh shit. I like that, Amelia. He can be your little teddy bear. How sweet,” Ricky teased.
Brody threw a pillow at Ricky then sat up and thrust into Amelia, making her moan.
She grabbed onto his arms.
“Teddy bear, huh? Honey, I’m more like a grizzly.” Brody leaned down and nibbled hard against her collarbone. She squealed as he continued to suck and nibble on her sensitive skin as she laughed so hard her belly hurt.
Ricky walked out of the room. “Have fun, Teddy.” Then he chuckled.
Amelia laughed as Brody finally stopped tickling her. He eased his cock out then stroked hard into her again.
“I’ll get you back you know?”
Amelia smiled, feeling lighthearted and loved as she trailed her finger over one of Brody’s nipples. “Don’t worry, I’ll come up with a super funny nickname for Ricky next.”
“Can’t wait.” Brody lowered over her, taking her hands and clasping their fingers together above her head. With every stroke, she felt his cock reach her womb. Their gazes were locked, as they made love, then came together in one sweet moment of pure bliss.

The weeks passed, and Amelia attended the veterans’ barbeque along with her men. It had been a complete success. She had met Waylon’s trainers and his agent, but she hadn’t entered the barn, where his state-of-the-art training gym and boxing ring was located.
Today, dressed in shorts, a tank top, and tennis shoes, she ventured on over there instead of hanging out with Regan and Velma. They had been so supportive of her, and even Elise talked to Amelia about moving on and being such a Godsend to her sons.
She took a deep breath and opened the door. Entering unnoticed, she heard the familiar sounds of boxing gloves striking an object. The boxing ring came into view immediately. Waylon wasn’t kidding when he said he had a state-of-the-art training gym in his barn. There were cooling vents coming out of the ceiling, and the surrounding floor was hardwood. Along the sides were various types of boxing bags, workout equipment, treadmills, and bicycles. There was everything a boxer needed to train for the best.
She walked closer and could tell immediately that Waylon was in the ring and wearing black camo shorts. She saw his tattoos, the padding around his head and face, and the professional way his legs and body moved. He looked sharp and capable.
Brody spotted her. He immediately walked away from the ring and the other men surrounding it. She heard Waylon’s trainer, Jose, giving him pointers.
“Watch those left hooks. Remember, O’Connor fights dirty. He’ll sweep out your feet if he gets the chance.”
The other guy in the ring was countering the punches. He was a big guy, too, but not as cut up and defined as Waylon. It had to be Quincy. Him and Diver were part of Waylon’s training team. They were very fond of Waylon and his brothers and had joined them a few nights for dinner at the house where she cooked the meals.
Brody took her hand and squeezed it as he brought it to his chest.
He knew she had been scared to come here. Scared to see Waylon box and worried about the emotions it might cause. “You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah. I’m good. This is impressive.”
“Yeah, well Waylon really enjoys boxing. He’s made a lot of money over the last five years. This fight is a big one.”
“I know. Vegas always puts on the big events.”
“Have you changed your mind about coming?”
“I’m not sure.”
“Well, you have two more days to decide. He’s almost finished. Want to come over and get a closer look?”
She shook her head.
“I don’t want to distract him.”
“He’s in his zone. I bet you won’t be a distraction, but instead a major support for him.”
Amelia wasn’t certain, but as Brody brought her closer, she began to focus more on Waylon’s form and his counter moves to Quincy.
“That’s it. Now, try some cheap shots, Quincy. Go over that move we saw in the video,” Jose stated.
She stood to the side next to Brody and Ricky. Ricky caressed her back then ran his hand along her backside. He bent down to whisper into her ear.
“These shorts are kind of short. You better only wear them around the house.” He moved his fingers up under the seam to that delicate, sensitive flesh where her ass cheeks met her thighs.
She stared at his chiseled, bare chest. “Well you be sure to wear a shirt, unless you’re only around me.”
He smiled. “Okay, darling. I promise.”
He moved his hand then pushed a finger through one of the loops on her shorts. His hands were so big, that Ricky’s palm was splayed across her backside possessively.
Brody now stood behind her and placed a hand on the back of her neck. She was immediately aroused, as usual. But determined to act unaffected.
“No, Waylon. Not like that. He’ll catch you. You have to remember who you’re dealing with.”
Waylon banged his fists at his side.
“What’s up with you? Why can’t you focus?” Jose asked.
“I’m fucking up my jabs and my hips as I go in for those counter strikes. They feel awkward.”
“Well try it like this,” Diver suggested as he showed him what he meant. He tried the move again and still got caught in Quincy’s right hook under his chin.
“Fuck!” he yelled out.
They repeated a few moves, but they didn’t quite feel right to Waylon.
He turned around and saw Amelia standing there with his brothers.
“Hey, what’s going on?” he asked. Quincy stepped back and took a breather.
“Do you need a break? Maybe clear your head?” Jose asked.
Waylon nodded. “Let’s give him a few minutes, Quincy. Come on down here and let’s take a look at that video again. Maybe we can come up with a better counter move,” Jose stated as Quincy waved hello to her then walked to the corner of the room where a flat screen TV was set up.
Waylon sat down on the edge of the ring.
“Hey, baby, so what do you think of the place?”
She walked closer with Ricky and Brody following.
“It’s impressive. So are your moves. You look great.” It was difficult to not drool over the man right now. He was dripping with sweat, but for some reason, it turned her on entirely too much. She actually felt her pussy clench and her nipples harden. She looked away and cleared her throat.
“What’s wrong? Something bothering you?” Brody asked Waylon.
“I don’t know. I don’t like preparing to fight a dirty fighter I guess. This guy is talking so much trash. It’s turning into a three-ring circus. I’ve got all these big shots coming out there to watch, and wannabes, too. Jose’s getting calls by companies wanting to sponsor me or pay me to wear their logos and shit or pose for pictures. It’s fucking annoying.”
“Hey, this comes with the territory. None of that shit ever bothered you before,” Ricky told Waylon.
“It’s different. I’m getting frustrated with these moves.”
“Have you tried not focusing so much on what might happen and just focus on your speed, and compensating for the cheap shots?” Amelia asked.
“What do you mean? You want me to pretend like this guy isn’t a street fighter or something?”
She swallowed hard. Waylon was way pissed off.
“Waylon, what made you start fighting?” she asked him.
He looked at his brothers as Jose, Quincy, and Diver approached.
“To keep my mind off the bad shit in my head. To forget about the war and the pain. It helps me to release all my anger and frustration.”
“Okay. So what makes you think that street fighting is any different? These men have been battling not only their bad upbringings, their pasts, their faults, and their own ghosts, but all those scars of their own and an opportunity to not feel like a loser. Th
e difference is that some legitimately are looking for a way out and to live in freedom, while the others are looking for the easy way out and will cheat, lie, or rip you right off in front of your face. It comes down to the hunger, Waylon. How hungry are you? How badly do you want to beat Jerry O’Connor?”
He just stared at her a moment.
“How much will you dislike it if I want to continue to fight? If I want to beat Jerry O, and go for the title?”
She hadn’t expected that. She looked at the others. Quincy, Jose, and Diver walked toward the other side of the ring to give them some privacy.
She realized that this was what was really bothering Waylon. He had decided to continue a career in fighting and he was basically saying that he would give it up for her.
She stepped closer and placed her hand on his thigh.
“I’m here aren’t I, Waylon? I know it took me a while, but now that I’m here and I see your talent, your abilities, I’m with you. If this makes you happy, if this is a dream to achieve, then I’ll be right beside you in support. I love you, and the past doesn’t matter.”
He wrapped his boxing glove arm around her shoulders and pulled her against his sweaty chest.
“I love you, too. That’s what I needed to hear.”
“Okay, enough mushy stuff,” she stated, pushing away from him. “Get your ass back in that ring and focus. Remember, you’re a soldier. When Jerry O, throws you a cheap shot, use one of your hand-to-hand combat moves. A striker shot to the neck. If the ref doesn’t call his cheap shots, then he won’t call your counter ones.”
“Hot damn, I think I’m in love,” Quincy stated as he stared at Amelia and shook his head. They all laughed.
“Do you want to take back what you just said, before you hop into this ring with me?” Waylon asked.
“Sorry, Amelia. I didn’t mean any disrespect,” Quincy stated, then bowed in front of her.
They all laughed and Waylon gave her a wink before he stepped back under the ropes and into the ring. From there on out, he looked more relaxed and Amelia felt proud to be his.
Chapter 16
Amelia stood in the hotel room at the MGM Grand. She smoothed out the designer dress Regan and Velma helped to pick out in one of the boutiques downstairs. The men had told them to go shopping, then meet them in the lobby to escort them to their seats. The gown was exceptional. An emerald green, knee-length, snug-fitting dress, with a plunging neckline. It matched the plunging back, that fell very low to her ass. She’d never felt so sexy and exotic in her life, and she hoped that the men would love it.
She stepped into the matching high heels then looked at herself one more time in the mirror.
There was a knock at the door. Glancing at the clock, she knew it had to be Velma and Regan.
She cheeked the peephole, before opening the door.
“Oh my God, you two look incredible,” Amelia told them as Velma and Regan sashayed into the room. Velma wore a short, very tight-fitting black-and-purple sequined dress with purple stilettos. Regan wore one in red, her favorite color.
“You look like a model, Amelia. My God, our brothers are going to freak out,” Regan stated and Velma high-fived her.
“Hey, you two said that they would love this dress.”
“Love taking it off of you,” Regan added.
“Not love the men that will be drooling and staring,” Velma added.
“Like your men will be any different?” Amelia countered.
“We just left them to come get you. They headed downstairs,” Velma said.
“Well then. Let’s go. I’m so nervous, I feel like my legs are going to give out.” Poor Waylon had been bombarded by reporters and company representatives. He was actually considered an underdog in this fight. Which didn’t sit right with Waylon until Amelia had given him another pep talk, as he liked to call them.
She placed the hotel key card into her purse then headed out with Velma and Regan.
As they took the elevator, they discussed the energy of the hotel all weekend and the fights that took place last night. There were a few more fights after Waylon’s, but his was all she really cared about.
As they exited the elevator, they indeed caught the attention of many people. But as they walked through the crowd, Amelia stopped dead in her tracks. She gripped Velma and Regan’s arms to stop them. Abruptly she turned around and faced the other way.
“What’s wrong?” Velma asked. She heard the whistle and gulped.
“Hot damn, woman, you look incredible. What are you doing in Vegas?”
She turned back around, not wanting to scare Velma and Regan.
“Do I know you?” she asked.
Escala gave her an immediately shocked expression.
“Hmm, I thought I knew you, sexy.” He nibbled his bottom lip, then looked her over, making her feel gross and violated.
“Who was that?” Regan asked.
“That was Escala. He’s involved with the boxing industry on a low scale. He’s a nobody, but he’s also Mano’s brother.
Regan grabbed her arm to stop Amelia from walking.
“He’s Mano’s brother? Oh fuck, Amelia.”
“Please don’t say anything. Please, Regan, Velma, just keep this between us. We’re going to be with the guys from here on out. Even if Mano is here, he can’t get to me or try anything with all the men around us. I don’t want Waylon to find out. He needs to focus on this fight. He doesn’t need a distraction.”
“Okay, okay, Amelia, calm down before you have a heart attack,” Regan stated. “We promise, right, Velma?”
“Right. Just be sure to stay with our brothers,” Velma said as they continued to walk. Now Amelia was really nervous.
Then they rounded the corner to the lobby, and there was a huge crowd of people waiting to enter and take their seats around the boxing ring.
They heard the whistles. They saw the eyes upon them and then Regan’s men found her and Velma’s men found Velma. Amelia wondered where Murphy, Brody, and Ricky were.
She felt the hand against the back of her neck and then the large body against her.
“Are you out of your mind wearing something like this, and walking around without one of us?” Murphy whispered.
She turned toward him, instantly happy and relieved to see him. “What is this?” Brody asked then walked around her, checking her out. Ricky grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. He kissed her hard on the mouth, making a scene. Then Brody kissed her and finally Murphy.
“That ought to do it,” Brody stated. She knew they did that on purpose, but as she reached for Murphy’s hand and faced the crowd of waiting people, she caught sight of Mano, and he gave her the look of death.
* * * *
Murphy leaned over to kiss along Amelia’s bare neck. His cock was so fucking hard right now. Sitting in the damn theatre seats was torture. He inhaled her perfume and closed his eyes. “You smell incredible.”
She leaned into him as Brody caressed her knee and thigh. Seeing her in the glamorous dress made him feel wild and possessive. Ricky was leaning forward, as he sat behind her and rubbed his thumb back and forth against her neck.
Murphy stared down at the cleavage of the dress. It dipped so damn low, he wondered if the designer made a mistake. It appeared as if her breasts would emerge with the wrong move. “I love this dress, baby, but not all the looks you’re getting. You look hot.”
She reached up and cupped his cheek.
“I wore this for you and your brothers. Do you think that Waylon will like it?”
“He’ll love it,” Brody stated.
They watched a few other small fighting matches and then it was Waylon’s turn.
As soon as the announcer indicated that it was next, Amelia began to shake.
“Hey, are you okay?” Brody asked her.
“Yes. Just nervous. God, I’m so nervous that I’m shaking,” she admitted.
Brody smiled and Murphy patted her knee.
“He’ll do fine.
He wants this and he’s worked hard,” Murphy said.
They all cheered when Waylon’s name was announced, and his heavyweight championship record. Then there was Jerry O’Connor. The crowd cheered, and then the fight began.
Amelia sat forward in her seat. She watched as if she understood every move and every aspect of boxing. Murphy wasn’t surprised at all. They had learned so much about her in the last two months, and they were all impressed.
It was an exciting match. Murphy was on the edge of his seat and Amelia kept grabbing onto his arm, cheering on Waylon and screaming his name. His heart pounded inside of his chest, as he saw the love, the true support and commitment she had toward Waylon and his boxing profession. After everything she had gone through, she put aside her fears, her bad memories of the past, and put Waylon and them first. This was what true love was all about, and nothing could destroy that.
She jumped up along with the rest of the crowd and so did Murphy. He watched as Waylon took a shot to the chin, stumbled backward, and then nearly got his feet swept out from underneath him as O’Connor was notorious for. Next came the cheap shot, but Waylon was ahead of him. He ducked. He sidestepped then came back with a vicious right hook to O’Connor’s jaw.
“Keep it up, Waylon. Hit him again. You got him!” Amelia yelled out. “Come on, Sniper, do this. Finish him!” Ricky yelled from behind Amelia.
The crowd was going wild, screaming Waylon’s name. O’Connor got pissed and took a few counter shots at Waylon, but Waylon saw them coming. They were going hit for hit. One punch after the next, and countering right hooks, jabs, left hooks, and jabs. It went on and on, and then Waylon took a hit to his cheek as he threw an upper cut to O’Connor’s jaw, and that was it. O’Connor fell backward, landing on the ring floor with a thump. Waylon shook his head, kept boxing around as the bell rang. The ref raised his hand signaling that he was the winner and the crowd cheered.
Amelia and Brody hugged one another, and then she hugged Murphy. Ricky was smacking Murphy on the shoulders yelling and cheering for their brother.
“And the winner, by knockout, the new heavyweight champion, Waylon ‘Sniper’ Haas!” the announcer declared over the microphone, his words as loud as the crowd’s cheers.
