  Chapter 1

  Bino

I sat in the driver seat of Ronny’s truck with Eric on the passenger side while Ronny went inside the abandoned warehouse to murk whoever the crazy stalker was that had kidnapped his babymama. Everybody knew how he was when it came to Shaniqua, so why someone felt the need to test his sanity was beyond me. When I first saw the unknown car sitting outside her house with someone on the driver’s side, I didn’t pay it much attention.

In fact, I thought she just had company or some shit but what threw up a red flag was when I saw the same car parked and the unknown man peeking through her window. I jumped out my car to see what the fuck he was doing; and he ran a quick lie about him and his wife living there. He said he locked his keys in his car, so he was trying to see if she was home because she wasn’t answering her phone. Luckily, Shan wasn’t there. After I ran him off, I called Ronny to let him know what I had just seen. Since that day, we’ve had someone watching her every move. It just so happened Eric was the one to witness the whole kidnapping.

“Yo man, I wonder who those niggas was though. I didn’t get a good look at them, plus they had on baseball caps that were pulled so low I couldn’t really see their faces,” Eric said to me.

“Man I don’t know but those motherfuckers must be ready to lose their lives,” I said inhaling the blunt before passing it to him.

“I know right,” was all Eric said before we heard gunshots.

I quickly grabbed my 9mm, Eric grabbed his Glock, and we hopped out. Before we got to the building, my phone went off and it was a text from Ronny that read, ‘Good’. Before he went in, he told us that he would text once he killed whoever had her, but if he didn’t text in 10 minutes for us to come in blasting.

We turned back around and headed back to the truck to call the cleanup crew. I knew we would more than likely need it after hearing the gunshots.

  Ronny

I never had been much of a talker when I had my guns out. I have, always been taught by my OG to shoot first and ask questions NEVER. “Either it’s you or them,” my dad would always tell me. I walked into that warehouse ready to body the muthafucker that kidnapped my wifey. Though Shaniqua and I weren’t officially together anymore, she was still the mother of my kids and I would do anything in my power to protect her. I was surprised to see Dre’s bitch ass was the one that took her but I was happy at the same damn time.

‘Just the muthafucker I been looking for,’ I thought to myself once I saw his bitch ass standing there with two guns in his hand. Nevertheless, I was there for business so I wasn’t gonna do much talking. I thought about him putting his hands on my son and instantly wanted to put my AK down and beat him to death with my own bare hands.

I made my presence known when I stepped around the corner and let it be known that Ray’Shun and Niyah were my kids. After seeing so much hurt in Shan’s face when that nigga said the baby that Denise was carrying was mine, I was more than ready to put a bullet right in that nigga’s skull. I knew his ass thought he was about to off her and me both when he said, “Looks like it’s gonna be a double murder…” That’s when I let my AK have the last word and rained bullets on his ass. Once he was down, I walked and stood directly over him. I bent over and grabbed one of the nines he had in his hand and put a bullet right in the middle of his forehead. Even though I knew he was already dead, I had to make sure.

I looked over at Shaniqua as she sat in the chair with wide eyes, her feet and hands were tied together and she was trembling uncontrollably. I felt sorry for my baby. I put Dre’s 9mm in the small of my back and reached in my pocket to take out the pocketknife I always kept on me.

I walked over and kneeled down in front of her. I sat my AK down and began cutting the rope that was, tied around her feet then I went around and cut the one that had her hands tied. The whole time neither one of us spoke a word.

“You good boo?” I finally asked breaking t
he silence. I knew she might have been traumatized because of what she had just witnessed but she had to understand, it was either him or us and it definitely wasn’t going to be us.

She just nodded her head up and down quickly. I closed her bathrobe and wondered why she only had that on.

“Come on boo, Bino and E out there waiting,” I said scooping her up in my arms.

See, I had just picked up my nigga Bino to drop him off at his baby mama’s house and I was going to stop by Shan’s house to patch things up with her when I received a call from Eric. He was telling me that he was watching her house when he saw two tall guys wearing baseball caps and hoodies walk up to the door. He saw them talking then one of the men rushed to his car with Shaniqua in his arms. I was furious of course and told Eric he better not let those niggas out of his sight. Why he didn’t blast those fools, I don’t know. I was just happy that I made it to her before anything went down. I swear if something had happened to Shan, that nigga Eric would have been the first nigga that felt my wrath.

Once we got to the car, I placed her in the backseat and hopped in after her. The whole ride was quiet as I held her in my arms the whole time rubbing her back as she cried in silence and trembled in fear. She was a nervous wreck.

“Aye Bino just drop us off at my crib and I’ll just get my truck from you sometime tomorrow,” I said and 15 minutes later, we were pulling up at my house.

I told my niggas bye and carried Shan in the house in my arms. I headed straight upstairs and laid her on the bed.

“Did that nigga touch you?” I wanted to know.

She sat up and just sat there staring off into space for a few minutes. “I don’t know why you came but thank you for coming when you did,” she finally said.

I gave her a puzzled look. “What you mean you don’t know why I came? Baby I know we have our ups and downs but you are still the mother of my kids,” I said looking her in the eyes. “I love you Shan and I would do any and everything to protect you.”

She gave me a weak smile and mouthed, “Thank You.”

I walked over to the dresser and grabbed a pair of panties and a bra that she still had at my crib for her to put on along with a pair of my basketball shorts and a t-shirt.

“Do you mind if I go take a bath?” she asked still trembling but not as badly.

I tilted my head. “Baby you know you don’t have to ask, this is still your house too,” I said to her and she got up and walked to the bathroom. When I heard the water running, I grabbed an already rolled blunt and lit it, taking a long pull.

  Shaniqua

I couldn’t believe Dre’s crazy ass would pull some shit like that. Thank God Ronny walked in when he did, because that fool was gonna have to kill me. There was no way in hell I was going to leave with him, especially with my babies. He had to be out of his rabbit ass mind. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when Ronny was lighting his ass up. I’d never seen no shit like that before, but I had to admit for some reason, seeing Ronny standing there with that gun had my juices flowing. That should have been the last thing on my mind but hey, it was what it was.

I sat on the edge of the tub until it was filled with water and eased inside the hot steaming water. All I wanted to do was soak, I felt so dirty. I knew I should have told Ronny that I was raped by someone that Dre claimed to be his cousin but what good would it have done. Dre was dead, so we would never know who it was. I didn’t even know he had family down here. Oh well, I would just charge it to the game for right now. I made a mental note in my head to go to the doctor in the morning to get checked.

I closed my eyes and remembered Dre saying that Denise, the hoe I caught Ronny at the motel with, was supposed to trap Ronny so I could leave him. So that meant the two of them planned the whole thing; to break Ronny and me up. But what everyone failed to realize was that Ronny and me couldn’t be broken up. Yes, the love is just that strong! Or so I thought…. That bitch being pregnant by him was a hard pill to swallow.

“You good boo?” Ronny asked knocking on the bathroom door. I guess I had been in there a little to long for him.

“Yeah I’m good, I’m about to get out,” I said.

I let the water out before turning on the shower to let the hot water run over my body. When I was finished and dressed, I walked out of the bathroom and the familiar smell of Loud hitting me in the face.

“Can I pull that?” I asked sitting on the bed next to Ronny.

He passed me the blunt and after I took two puffs, I was good. All I wanted to do was go to sleep. I laid down and turned my back to Ronny’s ass. I wasn’t trying to seem ungrateful at all but getting the same bitch I caught him with pregnant wasn’t cool at all. He slid under the covers and pulled me close to him, he then kissed me on the shoulder before telling me goodnight.

  Chapter 2

  Ronny

Things between Shaniqua and I were pretty much the same. It was my weekend with the kids and I was headed to pick them up when my phone began to ring. It was Vic.

  “Yo,” I answered.

“Yo what’s good bruh? I know I’m a few weeks late but I heard about what went down with Shan. She good?” he asked all in one breath.

“Yeah she good. Da fuck you been at? A nigga haven’t heard from you in a while. I know you ain’t still salty about what went down at the trap house.”

“Naw bruh, you know me better than that. You know that lil shit didn’t faze me. I knew you had a lot of shit on your mind so I just let you have that.”

I knew he was lying though, I’d known that nigga most of all his life so I knew when he was lying and when he wasn’t. That shit he just uttered out his mouth about it not fazing him was a complete lie.

I chuckled. “You let me have that?” I had to laugh at that. “Man you was on some real hoe shit that day. Calling me over there for that bullshit!”

“Naw bruh it wasn’t even like that…Man, I been out of town. Trish’s mom been in the hospital and shit, so we went to check on her,” he said out of nowhere changing the subject. I let him slide though.

“Oh yeah, how she doing?” I asked as I was pulling into Shan’s driveway behind her car.

  “She good,” he replied.

“That’s what’s up. Well I just pulled up to Shan’s house so let me go in there and get my little ones and I’ll holla at you later.”

“Oh yeah, you have to bring lil mama over so I can see her. But y’all be easy and tell Shan I said I’m glad she’s okay,” he said.

“Okay man I might stop by on the way home.”

“Aight bet,” he said and we hung up.

I got out of the car, walked up to the door, and knocked before turning the knob. I don’t know why I always do that, I guess just to make sure the door was locked. But to my surprise, it was unlocked.

“What the fuck? Aye yo Shan, why the fuck your door not locked? Did that little incident a few weeks ago not scare your ass at all?” I said walking in the living room to find her lying on the couch yapping on the phone.

She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and kept talking. I shook my head because though she hadn’t spoken about it I knew she was feeling some type of way about Denise being pregnant. I had been so focused on her that I hadn’t even dealt with Denise’s ass yet. But best believe she was going to get hers.

I pushed her feet out of the way and sat down. “Where my kids at?”

She told whoever she was on the phone with to hold on and glared at me. “Ronny why you had to sit your ass down right here, you saw me lying down. There’s a couch right there as well as a chair. I don’t need your ass sitting up under me,” she snapped.

Damn, that was cold, but that was the Shaniqua Holmes that I knew. Lately she hadn’t been saying too much to me and whenever she did it wasn’t with an attitude or anything like that. I guess she was killing my ass with kindness.

I laughed. “Whatever man. Where my kids at?”

She put the phone back up to her ear and started back talking.
/>   “Yeah, that’s Ronny’s ass. Let me call you back when he leaves,” she said before hanging up.

She sat up on the couch before telling me that she let the kids go with her mom.

“And why in the hell would you do that when you knew I was getting them this weekend?”

“Because she wanted them,” she said with a shrug getting off the couch walking in the kitchen with me right on her heels.

“Oh so me wanting them didn’t matter, huh?”

“Don’t worry you’ll get to keep your other baby when the bitch have it,” she said being sarcastic stopping in front of the sink, and started washing her hands.

I was waiting for that shit to come up, I didn’t know when it was coming, but I knew it was coming.

“Man Shan that damn baby isn’t mines,” I said leaning against the counter.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah tell me anything. But you know what Ronny, it really don’t matter to me anymore. Whenever I see the bitch I’m still gonna beat it up out of her whether it’s yours or not.”

I snickered, because whether we were together or not, if she saw a bitch that she thought I cheated on her with, she was ready to beat her down. I watched her take out something to cook and since I didn’t have anything else to do, I decided to see if I could stay over for dinner.

“You staying for dinner? Hell, you don’t have shit else to do anyways.” It sounded as if she was telling me instead of asking.

“It all depends on what you cooking first,” I said trying to play hard like I wasn’t just thinking the same thing.

She looked at me and rolled her eyes. “Are you staying or not?” she asked with her hand on her hip.

  She was so beautiful.

I smiled, “I’ll stay but don’t get in your feelings and try to poison a nigga.”

She smirked. “I’ll try not to,” she said before getting all the supplies she needed to cook.
