Steve Lehto is an author and attorney from southeast Michigan. He was also an adjunct professor of both law and history at the University of Detroit–Mercy. Among his previous books are The Great American Jet Pack: The Quest for the Ultimate Individual Lift Device (2013), Death’s Door: The Truth Behind the Italian Hall Disaster and the Strike of 1913 (2013), Drawn to Injustice: The Wrongful Conviction of Timothy Masters (2012), Chrysler’s Turbine Car: The Rise and Fall of Detroit’s Coolest Creation (2010), and Michigan’s Columbus: The Life of Douglass Houghton (2009). He has written for magazines such as Lake Superior, Mopar Action, Michigan History, and the Michigan Bar Journal. His work has appeared on the websites Jalopnik and the Huffington Post. He has been interviewed on CNN, the BBC, Good Morning America, and countless other radio and television outlets. He is a frequent speaker and has appeared in several documentaries as well.
