“What’s so funny?” The familiar voice of Seth warmed her heart and put the kind of smile on her face that was hard to break.
“Seth…” she smiled, leaning over the counter to meet his kiss, then nodding in the direction of Nora and Stan, “Nothing much.”
“Progress?”
“Maybe!” she was satisfied even if this was the extent of things with Nora.
“So…I was wondering, would you like to go out with me? I was thinking we could start with dinner, but work toward forever?”
Hands together, crossing her heart over her chest she replied, “I would love to…on both counts!”
“Are our sleuthing days over?” he asked, holding her hands in his.
“For now.” She said, glancing Nora’s way.
“So, tell me…read anything new lately, I could use a good book.”
Her head fell back in a roaring laugh that delighted him; he wanted nothing more than to hear that sound over and over again.
“Just this one,” she said, pointing between them, “It’s one of those happily ever after’s.”
Seth leaned in to kiss her but paused to say, “I love you Molly Anna Sexton!”
“I love you too…”
