“Another one, give us another one,” a group of men yelled.
“Come on, sexy baby,” one man yelled as he hit the table with his hands.
“I’ll come on over,” another joined in. He tried to stand up as the others at his table tugged on his shirt to keep him in his chair.
“Thank you.” Ragen gave her most dazzling smile in an attempt to appease her audience. “I think my turn’s over. Thanks again everyone.” She nodded then waved as she moved off stage. Still several men hooped and hollered her name. The adrenaline of the moment rushed through her making her feel light headed.
“Thank you…Ms. Ragen Kerrigan. We’ll be announcing our winner soon. Meanwhile,” the emcee pointed to the band behind him, “everyone please enjoy the dance music provided by our in- house instrumentalists.” The musicians began playing rhythmic tunes intended for slow dancing. On her way down the stage steps, Liam greeted her, his hand out waiting for her to accept his assistance. The smile on his face made her feel like warm butter melting under the heat of the glorious summer sun. Her body tingled with anticipation. When his large warm hand grasped hers, a sizzling rippled up her arm, traveling straight to her heart and almost making her falter in her step. Momentarily dazed, she hesitated, her heartbeat pounded in her chest.
“Would you like to dance with me?” he bent close, whispering in her ear.
She nodded. “Yes, I’d love to.” They walked slowly through the crowd to the edge of the room, possessiveness apparent in his gaze.
She followed him out onto the dance floor. As they reached the middle of the floor, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her cheek. The warmth of his body surrounded her, encouraging her to allow him more opportunities to be closer to her.
Ragen had never allowed herself to feel such strong emotions, especially for a mere man. She prided herself on being able to maintain a kind of aloofness in her relationships. But Liam thrilled her and she found her desire for him was overpowering.
This is not…normal. She shut her eyes briefly, attempting to reassemble her straying thoughts. When she opened them, the intensity of her feelings remained along with her body’s response to him.
Other couples joined them on the dance floor swaying to the music. The melody and rhythm were seductive, enticing. The Long Island Iced Tea she drank had relaxed her and lowered her inhibitions. As if realizing her internal struggle, Liam pulled her closer. She was able to appreciate every inch of his masculinity as it pressed against her.
He’s amazingly built. Her hands rubbed his arms.
Tenderly, he kissed her forehead. “You were amazing, such an alluring voice.” He pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. His gentle actions caused pulsating sensations to race to her womb. He bent near, his mouth close to her ear. Ragen inhaled slowly in an attempt to slow her heart beat. “It seemed as if you were singing to me. Were you?” His lips met hers before she could answer. As they kissed their bodies kept time, swaying with the music. His hands progressively descended down her back.
“Maybe.” She shrugged flirtatiously. “Did you want me to sing to you?” Ragen put her arms around his neck. He slightly pulled away and gazed into her eyes. His look delivered a wave of strong yet soothing energy. It passed through her as if she were suddenly possessed by his very essence. For a moment it was as if she was connected to him, sharing feelings and thoughts. Puzzled, her stomach flipped making her touch her mid-section. What was that? The peculiar connection dissipated leaving her feeling desolate and alone.
The swell of his cock pressed against her abdomen. So quickly this could spin out of my control. She touched the hair on the back of his neck and he moaned ever so softly. Her head spun with desire, dazed by the dreamlike situation. He kissed her again and she returned his advances with equal passion.
The world evaporated around them. Feelings swamped her mind, muting any intellectual response. She reacted purely on instinct. This was unlike anything she’d ever experienced.
Without warning he broke their kiss. “Come.” He took her hand.
“Where are we going?” She paused then followed, still overcome by the onslaught of emotions. He led her to a door hidden behind the stage.
“Some place more private.” He looked back at her, then led her inside to a vacant dimly lit long hallway. Once the door shut and they were outside of the view of the crowd, he lifted her, pressing her body against the wall with his own. Ragen moaned as his body rested against hers. “You okay?”
“Yes, I’m good.” She spoke around his kisses and playfully nipped the side of his lip. The taste of him was intoxicating. Again the world faded, leaving only him. She yielded fully to him. “You taste so good.” She moaned again. She did not even recognize the sound she made. It was entirely animalistic.
“Do you hear that music?” He showered kisses down the side of her neck then found her lips once more as he echoed her moan. “It’s so beautiful. Just like you.”
She giggled then kissed his neck and face. The evidence of her desire was dampening her panties. “I want you.”
Primal need roared through her as never before. She literally ached for his touch. This overpowering emotion was unfamiliar to her, yet it possessed her. She was on fire. He moved his hips against hers, making the wall behind them creak, and every ounce of common sense disappeared from her normally level head.
Breaking their intense kiss, Liam hoisted her up into his arms and headed down the hall. Determination was in his stride. He kissed her, his tongue delving deep into her mouth. Ragen was lost in his kisses and hardly noticed him kicking open a door. A soft growl rumbled in his chest, then he closed the door behind him. Quickly, he made it across the room. Silky sheets caressed the back of her legs and arms as he lowered onto her back.
The room was luxurious. He was forceful, predatory in his look, and she wished only to submit. He hovered over her and his scent enveloped her, intoxicating her. Then he was kissing her mouth, face, and neck.
His hands caressed her hair. Her dress rode up to her hips and he forced it up to her waist. Free of the material’s restrictions, she wrapped her legs around him, rocking her pelvis in an erotic dance. Another growl ripped from him and the guttural sound vibrated through her, making her body burn.
Liam reached between them, freeing his cock. He was massive, and warm. Urgently, he sought entrance. The only barrier stopping him were her panties, soaked with her juices. Liam’s finger tugged at the panty’s slender side and it snapped. He yanked it from her, tossing it to the floor. The smooth, wide head of his cock pressed against her soft opening. Ragen closed her eyes, surrendering as he easily pushed inside her. Her nails dug into his flesh as she opened fully to him. He filled her, stretching her more than she’d ever experienced, and her pussy molded to his cock, holding him firm pulsating around his hard flesh. “It feels so good,” she moaned.
With consummate skill he moved inside her, and tremors spiked within her. “I can’t … harder, faster.” The sound of their bodies’ connection echoed in the room, heightening her craving for what he offered.
She wrapped her legs tighter around his waist, pulling him closer. Her feet traveled up his muscular calves. The intense pleasure swamped her emotions. Suddenly she froze. Tremors rattled her, starting in her cunt, riding up through her womb, flooding her body. A raw hot electricity. He pumped into her with a steady rhythm, then slowed as if he too was overcome by the sensations. He looked down at her then, his eyes ablaze, with unnatural light. She should have been afraid of what she saw, but instead of fear, she embraced him.
Before she knew what was happening, he withdrew from her, then easily flipped her over until she was on her knees in front of him, her bottom in the air. Her hair, like a curtain of silk, was spread over the pillow. The image of his wolf-like gaze stayed in her mind as she awaited his mounting. Then smooth as silk, his cock entered her wet cunt. Pleasure once more tore through her as she enveloped him. Liam pushed her down further into the soft mattress as he fucked
her harder, pounding into her. Ragen could not form words, much less coherent thoughts.
After several minutes of pounding into her body, he slowed, his body stiffening. His warm mouth grazed her shoulder with sweet kisses, then sharp teeth bit into her flesh. “Oh!”
A second later, pain registered, slicing through her. “Liam!” Panic flashed through her mind, followed by a burning in her shoulder. It surged through her from where his teeth gripped. Then discomfort turned into sheer pleasure as white lights flashed before her eyes.
Liam groaned, then growled like a wild beast as his cock began to swell, growing larger. He slowed his thrusts. Stunned by what she was feeling, Ragen did not move. She made no sound. Liam pressed harder into her, reaching the entrance of her womb, then he stilled as his cock lodged inside her. “Zerpha,” he whispered in her ear. “Zerpha, you’re so tight. It feels so good.”
Ragen’s pussy gripped him harder, her muscles molding around his staff. Her muscles began to ripple and she climaxed over and over, her juices flowing, coating him and the insides of her thighs. A feeling of possession rode her. He was hers, and hers alone. Liam groaned softly. His cock pulsated inside her tightness, and heat gushed into her womb as he released his climax with ferocity and filled her with his seed. Finally spent, his cock remained hard inside her. He slowly withdrew and her pussy continued to vibrate. She had been stretched so thoroughly she doubted she could move, much less walk.
“Oh,” Ragen whimpered as he teasingly pushed the tip of his cock into her. Then he withdrew and dropped onto his side next to her.
“Don’t worry.” He caressed her back. “We’ll soon enjoy this again.” He leaned close and nipped her ear lobe. “And it won’t be so rushed next time.” He kissed her back and shoulders making her quiver.
“Okay.” She nodded. Suddenly exhausted, Ragen collapsed into the softness of a nearby pillow and closed her eyes. He continued to worship her body with kisses as sleep claimed her.
***
“Ragen, it’s nearly midnight.” She awoke to kisses brushing the side of her face. Her dress was still bunched up around her middle.
“What?” Ragen opened her eyes, confused by her unfamiliar surroundings. Then the memories flowed back to her. She slowly sat up. The sexiest man in the world sat on the edge of the bed watching her.
I’ve never woken up in a man’s bed. Oh, my gosh, what have I done? Panic hit. She quickly attempted to fix her dress to cover the more intimate parts which were still exposed. Liam was already fully dressed. “I’d better go find Patty and get home. It’s over an hour drive.
“Perhaps you both should stay tonight? It is late.”
“No, I have things to do at home.”
“Can I see you tomorrow?” His hand glided over her bare leg. “I’ll come to wherever you are to see you. I don’t want you to leave.
“I’m scheduled to work tomorrow.” She looked down at the mussed bed. “But I’m free in the late afternoon.”
“Excellent, I’ll come to see you. I will count the hours.” His eyes were so bright.
“I’d like that.” She smiled then scooted to the side of the bed.
He held his hand out then stood to help her up. “Come with me to my office, so I can write down your address and phone number.” He helped her get into her dress. “I’m sorry if your gorgeous dress got messed up.” He kissed her sweetly and she lingered in his arms for a moment. “I can buy you another one… as many as you desire.”
“I think it can be fixed.” She giggled. She continued to adjust her dress and hair and out of the corner of her eye she watched him watch her. She wondered what he was thinking about her.
I’ve had sex with him, and he doesn’t even know my phone number. What am I doing? What have I done? She felt herself frowning as she struggled to comb her hair with her fingers.
“Are you nervous?” He stepped closer to her touching her hand. A soothing current rushed up her arm straight to her heart, calming her. “You seem tense, deep in thought.” He gently turned her to look directly at him. “Don’t be shy now.”
“No, I’m not. But, I want you to know--”
“Know what?” He cocked his head to the side, his eyes seemed to glow brighter as if there were fires behind them. “There’s no need to deny your nerves. I can tell what you’re feeling. We’re connected, you and I, in a special way.” He looked down at her. “Plus, I am adept at picking up on other’s fears.”
“We’re what…connected?” She studied him.
“Nothing.” He shook his head. “What do you want me to know?”
He touched her hair and another current made its way up the strands of hair to her scalp making it tingle. Feeling odd, she chuckled softly at the sensation.
“Do you like my touch?” He smiled. It was evident he had a hard time keeping his hands to himself.
“Yes.” She nodded. “I’ve never…had an encounter like this before.”
“One so fantastic?” He winked.
“Yes, and I’ve only had sex with a boyfriend. One boyfriend. My old boyfriend. We’ve been broken up for almost three years. We had planned to get married, but I changed my mind at the last minute.” She felt her face heat up.
“I see. Bad for him, good for me.” His hand strayed down her side resting on her hip. It was as if energy was constantly flowing between them. It was not anything she could identify. It made her hunger for him.
“I’m sort of embarrassed by my wanton behavior. I am not one to meet a guy and have sex with him like we did.”
“Don’t be embarrassed.” His voice was so soft. “You weren’t wanton; you’re as passionate for me as I am for you. Our link is strong so we can’t deny it. We shouldn’t be ashamed of anything we’ve done. In truth, I’ve never experienced such passion. I’m struggling to see you leave me tonight. I want to keep you here with me.” He put his hand under her chin lifting her gaze to his. “We’ll talk more tomorrow. But, I want you to know, I deeply cherish what we enjoyed.”
“Me too.” She smiled.
“I can imagine you have questions about me. I’m sure you realize what happened wasn’t typical.”
“Yes, I do have questions.” She nodded. “You’re different. You grew inside me, like a knot. Should I be running from you, like prey from a wolf?” She smiled.
“Please don’t. I’m not a wolf. Not entirely. But I do have many similarities.” He grinned.
“What are you?” Suddenly she felt like she could not breathe. She swallowed hard.
“Don’t be afraid. I sense you’re fearful, uneasy. Don’t be. I’d never hurt you. Your special senses should tell you that I would not harm you.”
Her body flashed hotter. Goose bumps broke out on her arms. He rubbed her arm tenderly.
For a moment she did not know what to say and they stared at each other. My special senses… does he know?
“What do you mean? I wasn’t serious about you being a wolf. At least, I didn’t think I was.” Brow furrowing, she glanced back at the bed.
“We can talk about this tomorrow.” He pushed her hair back out of her face.
“No, I want to know now what you’re saying. What did happen? I’m not complaining. It was…wonderful. But, it wasn’t…normal. I don’t like that word, but what else can I use?” She watched him carefully.
“Ragen, do you believe there are some things which are not commonly known? Things which are supernatural?”
“Maybe.” She shrugged. “My mother is into hocus pocus and the paranormal. But I’m a woman of science.”
“Yes, I know, you’re a vet. You’ve probably always been good with helping others back to health?” He grinned. Then he sat back down on the edge of the bed.
“Yes.” She nodded. “It is a gift I have.”
“Has your gift gotten stronger lately?”
She looked away. “Maybe. I’ve experienced some things lately which have seemed odd.”
“You feel the magic racing through you, don’t you? It has fl
owed between us too.” He watched her closely. “Did you feel it? Your magic is exceptionally strong.”
“I mean, I felt something. I don’t know if I’d call it magic.”
“The supernatural lives alongside the human world. The magic in this human realm is stronger as of late. So, those like us feel it more.”
“Those, like us?”
“Yes, it’s a long story.” He closed his eyes. “I hear such lovely music when I’m with you.” He smiled.
“You do?”
“Oh yes.” He opened his eyes. “You’re so special to me.” He reached for her hand and pulled her to him. “Humans are typically blind, deaf and clueless to the magic around them. But you have mixed blood. Your magical genetics are far stronger than your human ones.”
“Mixed blood? Magical genetics?”
“Yes.” He nodded.
“Me?”
“Yes, and I don’t think you are so very shocked with what I am telling you, are you?”
She was quiet for some time. Then she exhaled slowly. “I can’t describe what I am feeling.”
“You’ve lived as a human, but you’re a magical being with strong powers.” His eyes were iridescent gold, his pupils dark and enormous. The truth of what he was telling her was staring her in the face. “Your magic is innate. It dwells within you. Right now, it is helping you accept what I am telling you. Because what you already truly know is written on your soul. Deep down you know you’re different, as am I, and you know the world is not limited to what you have been told. You’re pre-programed to recognize and accept the magical or the paranormal, as humans say. Magical beings are attracted to each other.”
“I’m human. I’m nothing special, just a human woman.”
“If you were only human, you certainly would still be special.” His smile was dazzling. Her body ached for him to take her again. “However, you’re much more than a mere human.”
“This all sounds crazy.”
“Is it? Have you healed an injured or sick animal or even a person with just a touch?”
