Love of Liberty Page 5

  Fuck. I didn’t know.

Standing, I said, “I think it’s best if I leave so you can both talk about everything.”

“But doesn’t all this involve you as well?” Damien questioned.

Shaking my head, I told him, “Not yet, no.” I stepped around them; however, I was stopped with a hand around my wrist.

“Wait,” Damien said. Glancing down, I raised my brows in question, my heart hammering with the reality that it was Damien stopping me. He looked to Liberty and then back up to me. “It doesn’t feel right having you leave.”

When I turned, he let go of my wrist. I faced both and asked, “Why?”

He shrugged. That damn shrug was going to annoy the fuck out of me. Sighing, I moved over to the chair beside the couch and sat. “You both know where I stand, what I would like, and even if this doesn’t work out, that is if you’re both willing to try, then we leave as friends. Liberty will always have a job with me, unless something happens, and then I would find her another job.”

Damien caught Liberty’s attention with his hand on her thigh. He asked, “Do you want to try this? With the three of us?”

“I can’t answer that. I won’t answer it because I refuse to have either of you doing something you don’t want to just for me.”

Damien snorted. “Who said it would be just for you?”

I stiffened at his words, at his admission. My pounding heart kicked up a notch, threatening to break through my chest.

Liberty grinned and shook her head. “Honey, you’ve never wanted another man in our relationship. You’d only be doing this because of the attraction Liam and I have for one another. I’d feel guilty.”

“Liam’s attracted to me,” Damien pointed out. Liberty looked to me, and I nodded. “And… I’m attracted to him,” he admitted sheepishly, another blush coating his cheeks.

“I love that you want to try.” She smiled. “I mean, you do, right?” Damien nodded. “But I can’t do it knowing you’ve never looked at men before. Say it was all good and we all get naked, your cocks could rub against each other, both of you will be sharing me…. I don’t see it working when you’ve never thought about it before.”

Damien released a heavy sigh, frustration flickering on his face. “Maybe it all comes down to it being about the person, and simply the right guy hasn’t come along. I don’t know. I’m confused, but intrigued. Besides, rubbing cocks wouldn’t bother me. Liam could suck me off.” Both Liberty and I coughed out a hard, gasping breath. Damien ignored it and went on, “I’m just not sure about arse play.”

“I’m seriously at a loss for words,” Liberty whispered.

After clearing my throat, because my mind was still on arse play, only not just with Damien but with Liberty, I said, “You both know I would never do anything you didn’t want.”

Damien nodded and then clapped his hands, rubbing them together. “Right, so we’re going to try this?”

“What?” Liberty blinked up at him.

“Us. The three of us in a relationship.”

The man had balls of steel. He just kept on surprising me.

  “Are you sure?” I asked.

“Well, yeah. I was enjoying kissing you. I wouldn’t mind finding out where the three of us would fit, not only in bed but in each other’s lives.”

“I think I’m in shock,” Liberty stated.

“And I think it’s time for bed. We’ve all got early mornings,” Damien announced. Liberty and I looked at him with wide eyes. He chuckled. “I didn’t mean it like that, just maybe we should call the night to an end.”

“You’re right.” I nodded, placing my hands to the armrests.

“Hang on,” Damien said. “Babe, maybe you should kiss your other man goodnight.”

What in the fuck was going on in that guy’s head? How could the straight guy seem all fine and normal about everything? Maybe it was in the genes? Was his sister the same? I wanted to find out because Damien threatened to shock me into a coma.

Liberty glanced from Damien to me shyly, and back to Damien, who nodded and smiled. She bit her bottom lip, probably unsure if she should or not. I hoped to Christ she did. I gripped the armrests tighter as I waited for her to either tell Damien not to be stupid or come and kiss me.

Slowly, she leaned in to Damien first and touched her lips to his. She whispered something, and he nodded once again. Then she climbed to her feet, and my bloody heart tightened in my chest as she strolled her way across the living room floor.

She stopped right in front of me, our knees touching. “Do you want a k—”

I didn’t let her finish. Was she crazy, asking me if I wanted a kiss from her?

  Goddamn right I did.

So I took hold of her hips and tugged her forward, her knees landing around my waist. She gasped in surprise from the quick movement. Threading my hand through her long, dark hair, I pulled her down towards me. Our eyes connected. I smiled just before I touched my lips to hers. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, I opened my mouth, hers followed, and we deepened the kiss. My other hand slid from her waist around to her fine arse where I helped shift her forward. Her heat landed right on my erection. When I groaned, she moaned from the thrill it sent through our bodies. Her hands glided from my chest up to my shoulders and then around the back of my neck.

She rocked against me. I was so fucking hard and ready to blow my load I was sure if she kept going, I would release right in my slacks.

Pulling away from her sweet mouth, I panted out, “I really should, ah, go.”

I needed to come. I’d already been turned on from kissing Damien, where I’d been rubbing myself through my pants, so I knew I wouldn’t take long to actually come.

“But—” Liberty started, looking down at me with disappointment and still with hooded eyes.

Damien interrupted from behind Liberty. “You’re not going yet. Our girl is on the verge of coming.”

“Shit,” I bit out. “So am I.”

“Then finish,” Damien demanded and closed the distance from himself to Liberty’s back. He leaned down and tilted Liberty’s head to the side with a fist in her hair, kissing her neck. She gasped and ground down on me. I hissed and watched them as Liberty brought her hand up to cup Damien’s neck. He shifted to the side, his hand moving to palm her breast through her clothes, all while she still moved over me, driving me crazy. Watching them was making things move along faster. Their lips touched, and they kissed passionately. Liberty moaned into his mouth as I took hold of her hips and pressed her down harder onto me. Damien moved again, only that time it was to palm his own cock though his jeans.

“Fuck,” he cried. “I’m so close.”

“Yes,” Liberty whispered against his lips.

Damien gave her one last kiss before he looked down at me. Liberty watched with rapt attention as he slowly leaned closer to me.

“Oh, God.” Liberty moaned just as our lips touched each other’s. Reaching up, I took hold of the back of Damien’s neck as he placed his mouth on mine. Our heads slanted and we deepened the kiss.

“Beautiful,” Liberty said and rocked faster over me.

Christ, I was going to come any second.

It was the hottest experience I’d ever had, and I hoped it was the same for the both of them because I wanted to do it again, only a hell of a lot more as well.

“Shit,” Damien cursed against my mouth. “I’m gonna fucking explode.” He kissed me again and then when he groaned through his release into his jeans, his kiss turned hard, hot and heavy.

“Fuck,” I yelled when he pulled back, smiling. I dragged Liberty down to me and kissed her. “Hell, fuck, you feel so good,” I mumbled against her lips.

She gasped. “I-I’m, yes, oh God. I’m going, I’m…,” she cried out, rocking down on me as she came and seconds later, I grunted through mine.

Liberty fell forward, her body resting against mine, her head in the crook of my neck. Gently, I rubbed her back up and down and met Damien’s
eyes. He smiled, and I returned it, ignoring the sticky feeling in my slacks.

I hadn’t come in my pants in fucking forever, hell, since I was a teen. Still, I’d gladly do it again with the two people before me if I got to experience the same intensity.

“I think this could work,” Damien announced. Liberty started giggling in my arms, where I just full-out laughed.

Damn, it was good to hear him say that.

  Chapter Seven

  Liberty

After Liam had left, but not before he told me he would pick me up in the morning for work since I didn’t have my car, I climbed into bed beside an already softly snoring Damien. It annoyed me it only took him five fucking seconds to fall asleep, like he hadn’t a care in the world. Which, in all honesty, he really tried not to have. He tended to always think the best of everything and everyone. His attitude to the world was a big reason why I loved him.

While he slept, my mind played over what had happened.

I still couldn’t believe it and had to pinch myself a few times to make sure it hadn’t been a dream. Damien had shocked me to the core. Never in my dreams had I considered he would be so giving. I smiled. I had no doubt though that he’d got something from our night together.

He’d been turned on, and when I saw him kiss Liam… I did a silent happy dance in the bed. It was the most delicious thing I had ever seen. Two men I cared for, one I loved completely and one I knew I could love given time, sharing that with me was something special.

Damien had said he loved me, another thing I didn’t dare to dream. When he’d shared his feelings, my heart had melted, and my panties had never been so soaked.

Of course there was still fear present, and worry. Both churned my stomach. If it all went to shit, I wasn’t sure I could find any type of happiness again because both men filled me with a contentment I’d never expected to feel or experience in this lifetime.

How had Jade coped with the fears?

Sitting, I turned and placed my feet on the floor and picked up my mobile from the side table. Unlocking it, I hit the saved number and waited.

After a few rings, she groggily answered, “Are you in jail, in hell, being kidnapped, or killed? If it’s none of those, you better have a good reason for ringing me so late.”

Oops, I’d forgotten it was past eleven, and Jade and her men liked an early night when they had work the next day. “Liam kissed me today. Damien saw. My long-lost grandma appeared trying to give me two million dollars, and when I got to Damien’s after having dinner with her, I found Liam here. We’re thinking of trying to start a relationship with the three of us.”

“What?” she screeched. “Sorry, Dane, go back to sleep. It’s all good, Chance, it’s just Liberty.” I heard shuffling over the phone and then footsteps. “Okay, tell me everything.”

Of course I did. I started with the meeting with my mum and reuniting with Franny, then dinner with Franny, and I finished with everything about Liam, Damien, and me. Even though she was Damien’s sister, she managed to keep her gagging down to a minimum.

“Say something,” I ordered after, but I was met with silence on the other end.

  “My brother kissed a man?”

“Well, I think it was more of Liam kissing him first, but he did in the end, yes.”

  “My brother?”

  “Yes.” I groaned in frustration.

“Sorry, just in shock here. Honey, are you happy about it?”

“I think I am, but I’m really scared. How did you get over your fears of what happens if things fall down the shitter?”

“I still have those fears.” Well crap. “But, as each day goes, it gets easier to let your worries fall to the back of your mind. All I can tell you is to cherish each and every day you have with the both of them. Show them your love. I know you have a lot of love, even when you hide it. Sounds cliché, but take each day as it comes and don’t push anything. I was lucky enough Chance and Dane already knew each other and were best friends. Let Liam and Damien get to know one another in their own time. I honestly never would have thought my brother would kiss another man, but he did, and he wouldn’t have done it if he didn’t want to. He’s experimenting. Let him do it, with you and then on his own with Liam.”

“Thank you. Just talking to you has helped.”

“I’m glad. I also want to tell you how happy I am for you. Who would have thought the two of us would need two men to love us?” We laughed.

“Do you still think it’s wrong on some days? Having two?”

“Every day, until I look at them and think truck it. If this is what they want, who am I to complain?”

  “I love how you think.”

“You know I’m always here, and I’m sure Chance or Dane would be willing to talk to Damien about anything, but there is no way I will ever speak to my brother about his sex life. And please, pretty please, with a cherry on top, try and refrain from mentioning him in any sexual acts. I’m shuddering right now, I thought you should know.”

I burst out laughing. “But grossing you out is a highlight for me.”

“And me,” came mumbled behind me. “Babe, say goodnight to my sister and get some shut-eye.”

“Damien’s awake, he wants me to go down—” I giggled when I heard the dial tone. “She hung up on me.”

Damien chuckled, reached out and dragged me down to the bed. I only just managed to place my phone back onto the side table before I was curled into him with my head on his chest.

  “You okay?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said and kissed his chest. “Are you?”

“Yeah, babe, and I reckon things will work out. Don’t stress, okay?”

  “I’ll try.”

Damien and I were on the way to the front door when there was a knock. I glanced at him, and he winked before pulling the door wide.

“Good morning,” Liam greeted with a smile, though it was a little strained. He was probably worried we’d talked each other out of everything the previous night.

There was only one way to reassure him. I leaped. Flinging my arms around his neck, I kissed him right on the lips, pulled back and said, “Morning.”

His smile was amazing. The light in his eyes danced.

“I think I need to pick you up every morning,” he said and then glanced to Damien.

“Sounds okay to me. I’m always in a hurry, which reminds me, I have to go.” Liam shuffled back with me still in his arms while Damien stepped out and locked the door, then asked, “You dropping Liberty home?”

  Home.

I liked the sound of it, but was I, or we, ready for that when things had just changed by adding a third into the relationship?

“I will.” Liam nodded, setting me on my feet and placing his arm around my shoulders. I kind of swooned.

“Might as well stay for dinner. I’m making pasta.”

  “That would be great.”

“Awesome. Later, babe.” He leaned down to give me a quick peck and then my eyes widened, as did Liam’s when he also leaned into Liam to touch his lips with his. “See ya.” He grinned, then chuckled at our shocked expressions before trotting off down the way to his car.

  “Is he always like that?”

  “How?” I asked.

  “Carefree.”

  “Yes.” I smiled.

  “It’s… charming.”

Patting his stomach, which was as hard as a rock, I said, “You’ll get used to it.”

He grinned down at me. “I look forward to it.” He moved us off to his car. “You know, I worried when I showed this morning that you both would have changed your minds.”

Laughing, I told him, “I saw it in your eyes. But we haven’t.”

He stopped us at the passenger door. Turning me, his hands went to my waist and mine went to his chest. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt so lucky in my life. The day you walked into the office, I thought this woman was going to change my life, and you have. You excite me. But, hell, it’s more than that. But th
e thought of the three of us excites me even more, and even through the worry, I couldn’t help but look forward to the day.”

Snorting out a laugh, I commented, “Which explains why I haven’t seen broody Liam this morning.”

He rolled his eyes. “I’m not that bad.”

  “Yes, yes you can be.”

“Only because I was frustrated by not having my hands on you.”

Wiggling my hips, I said, “You no longer have that problem now.”

With a smile, he leaned in and kissed my lips, then my neck, which he bit. Gasping, my fingers dug into his chest. He hummed. “No, that problem has vanished and been replaced by an even more difficult one.”

  “What’s that?” I breathed.

“Having to go through the day without doing what I want to you.” He kissed my nose and made his way around the car after he’d opened my door and helped me into my seat. Once he was in, with the car started, he looked to me and asked, “The transition from boss to”—his eyes darkened—“boyfriend has been an easy one for me. But I need to know, are you comfortable with it?”

I reached for his hand, revelling in the knowledge that I could touch him when I wanted. “It will take some time, but I knew it would feel right when it happened. I didn’t think it would be in the situation we’re in, but something between us has been crackling for a long time. It’s what I want.”

“I have a feeling if it hadn’t been for Damien being willing, then it wouldn’t have happened.”

Smiling sadly, I shook my head. “No, it wouldn’t have because I wouldn’t have left Damien. He’s… so much to me. Totally the opposite to the both of us, yet I know he balances me out, which I’m sure he will you also. He’ll be our calm.”

With a small nod, he smirked. “I can see it already.” Sighing, he added, “We’d better get to work before I take you back inside and have my way. Only Damien isn’t here, and we’re not ready for anything without him. It wouldn’t feel right.”

Squeezing his hand one last time, I leaned in and kissed his neck. “I’m glad you understand that. I don’t think I could do anything without him just yet. Later down the track is another story. Though, that isn’t the same for you and Damien. I would like you both, as long as all parties are comfortable, to spend time with one another. You and Damien need to get to know one another. If it turns intimate, I think that’s a good thing, but there’s no pressure.” A large grin spread across my lips, and I added, “Though, a picture or two of you both wouldn’t go amiss.”
