TAMING GRIZZ (A DEVIL'S DRAGONS MOTORCYCLE CLUB ROMANCE)
Page 16
I turned, following the sound down the hall and past some old crates, finally bursting out into the back alley while gasping for breath. I was just in time to watch the two of them roll of into the darkness on his bike.
Fuck!
I bolted around the side of the building. If I could get to my bike I could give chase and sneak up on the asshole on the open road… I made my way across the street to the closest warehouse as fast as I could manage with my lungs burning and eyes stinging. As I came across the parking lot where we parked all our bikes, I quickly realized they weren’t going to be doing me any good. The fucker must have known we’d come after him. Every last bike was sitting on rims, the tires slashed through and destroyed.
I glanced around for an alternative, quickly spotting Tread’s old beater car nearby.
Fucker might be expecting a bike…
I ran over to it and shattered the driver window with the butt of my gun before popping the lock and jumping inside. It had been awhile since I hotwired a car, but I knew I wouldn’t need to. Tread wasn’t much for brains, and he sure as shit kept a spare set of keys on the car. I flipped down the visor and came up empty, then threw open the glove compartment. I’d hit paydirt, pulling the keys and a small taser from the glove.
Tread, you’re too good to me. Sorry I have to take your ride, but you’ll understand.
I fired the shitbox up and noticed the tank was full. I had plenty of gas for what I needed to do. I knew where they were heading, too. Grizz would take my little bitch west, and there’s only one road headed out that way.
I tossed the taser into the cup holder and pulled out of the garage to chase my woman down.
Think you’re so smart, huh? Punk ass biker. Got another thing coming, buddy…
Didn’t matter how smart he was.
I wasn’t about to let him take her back to those bastards. She was being a little hard, but I knew that my girl would see the way things really were soon enough.
I pushed the accelerator to the floor, roaring down after them. It wasn’t long before I was on the interstate, flicking the little piece of shit cage from lane to lane to catch up. They had a couple of minutes on me, but chances were that they weren’t stopping off anywhere anytime soon…
There.
I spotted them two cars ahead, shifting lanes. Now that I knew where they were, I could hang tight and let them think they’d gotten away for good…
It gave me all the time in the world to think about how I was going to make him beg for his fucking life.
I’d put that asshole on his knees.
He’d cry like a little sissy bitch.
I’d be the bigger man, of course. With my pistol against the back of his head, I’d make it a quick one if he told me to my face that I was the better man.
If he apologized a dozen times over, I’d give it to him nice and clean. Two bullets in the back of the skull would drop that stubborn ass-wipe to the ground.
One bullet for confusing my woman.
The other one for attacking the club.
If I had the men with me, I could just toss the sonuvabitch in the swamp and let the gators do their thing, but I’d just have to make do on my own. He was a big guy, so I’d probably have to work at rolling him into the ditch that would be his motherfucking grave.
That’s right, I thought to myself.
This ain’t just about me no more.
It’s about the sanctity of the club…
I would take care of this Devil’s Dragon for Gridlock’s sake. Then he’d have to promote me to right-hand man.
When the old fucker kicked it, I’d be in charge of the club. The Bayou Boys would be mine.
Bayou Boys motorcycle club president...
I liked the sound of that.
I switched lanes, staying just out of sight of my prey.
This big fucker is smart.
But I am smarter.
And all I had to do was hang back here, waiting to see what they’d do next…

Kate
It was way too dangerous to head back to Lafayette or New Orleans. We weren’t about to risk running into one of the Bayou Boys…
But we still needed to make a stop.
The trees on the left side of the interstate briefly cleared. There were a plenty of fast food chains over there. It was the first sign of real civilization that we’d seen since crossing Lake Ponchartrain.
We left the highway and pulled into a late night burger spot. The lobby was still open, so we hit the head, then sat down with some classic greasy burgers and a shitload of coffee. At this point I was tired and could barely remember the last time my head hit a pillow, but I had to keep moving.
“So, what now?” I quietly asked him, halfway through munching on my fries. “Are we just gonna keep on and head straight to El Paso, or what?”
Grizz looked weary. Whatever he’d been up to since I was captured, it had definitely taken its toll on him.
“I wish I could,” he grunted, “but I don’t have the energy for that. It’s a long ride, and I’ve already made a few of those today…”
“Oh yeah? Where’d you go?”
“Florida.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Florida? Grizz, why the hell did you go to Florida?”
He took a quick swig of creamy chocolate milkshake. “Needed supplies.”
“The jumbo can of pepper spray?”
“That was plan B. Plan A was guns. Lots of guns…”
“You didn’t keep to Plan A because…”
“Was ready if I had to,” he told me, glancing up from his burger and tugging his vest slightly open. I could see the pair of handguns holstered beneath. “Have a couple more of them strapped up on the back of the bike. Guns mean I die, or I go to prison for dropping a lot of men. Too much noise. I’m alone here, and people know I’m in town. It wouldn’t be hard to put two and two together. A biker club gets shot up and they’d be pointing fingers. Cops would be all over me before I hit the state line.”
“So you cut the lights and gas the building?” I whispered.
“Seemed like a good idea at the time…” Grizz replied.
He looked disheartened, even angry.
“Today, nobody dies.”
I couldn’t really argue with that.
“So, I guess we’re not riding out tonight, huh?”
“Afraid not.”
“What’s the plan?”
His gaze shifted over to the bored cashier, who was texting on her phone behind the counter.
“I need to find somewhere for us to stay overnight. Adrenaline kept me going earlier. Pushing myself too much lately. Just don’t have it in me to make it there in one shot.”
“A motel?” I asked.
“That’s what I was thinking.”
“Probably a good idea,” I nodded, taking a sip of my drink. “No reason to risk it. The Bayou Boys probably think we’re in New Orleans… or halfway to El Paso.”
“Hoping they don’t expect us to stop so early,” he told me, standing up. “Not even to Baton Rouge yet. Still about another hour and a half to Lafayette.”
Grizz wandered over to the cashier and pulled her into a quiet chat while I took another bite of burger, gazing mindlessly over at his side of the table. He’d already decimated most of his food.
Made sense.
It had been a big day.
Twenty minutes later, we were pulling up to a local motel a couple of miles down. The place was this rundown little row of buildings just off the road, decorated sparsely with withered, out-of-place foliage. What it lacked in charm it made up for in isolation.
Grizz set up the room and paid for a night while I stood by the bike, thinking about everything that we’d been through.
If you’d told me upwards of a month ago that all of this shit was about to go down, I’d have laughed in your face.
But here we were.
My life was changed forever, and I knew it. Whatever abandonment issue
s I’d had with Grizz in the past, all that was long gone. Even if I hadn’t been convinced before, tonight sure as hell did the trick.
Tired or not, I knew exactly how I was going to thank him.
Grizz walked out with the key, just as someone started pulling into the parking lot. I climbed onto his bike behind him, and we drove the short distance over to the building that we needed.
Grizz unlocked the door to Room 108, and we flicked on some lights. The place had a real 70’s feel to it, with old, stained carpeting and streaked linoleum. Fake wood trim ran half-up along the walls, and a tube television sat across from the stiff bed on its wire frame.
“Been a long day. I need a shower,” Grizz offhandedly told me. “Just make yourself comfortable. Gonna be here ‘til morning.”
When I was certain that Grizz was in the shower, I checked the door locks and slipped into the bathroom. It was about time that I properly thanked my hero.
It was small, especially with his large and burly size, but the shower was just big enough for the two of us… I pulled the glass door open, and Grizz wiped his eyes and glanced at me in surprise.
“Kate – what are you–”
“Shh,” I cooed, slipping in and closing the door behind myself. “It’s been a long night, yeah? Why not let me help you relax…?”
A sly smile crossed his lips.
“Couldn’t wait, could you?”
“No…” I grinned, dropping down to my knees. “You keep doing what you’re doing… I’m got a job to do…”
With that, I took his stirring cock between my lips, gliding down the thick rod as he groaned with pleasure.
My hand cupped his huge balls lightly as I bobbed up and down the thick, salty member. He hadn’t begun to wash his rod yet, so the thin layer of sweat intermingled with the saltiness from his pre-cum while the water ran down onto my face.
“Just like that, baby,” he murmured.
“Mhmm,” I moaned in agreement, swallowing down another inch of his flesh.
By now, he’d completely given up on cleaning, and his hands were now holding my head in place around his twitching dick.
“Jesus,” he groaned.
I plucked the cock free from my mouth and smiled. “That good?”
Grizz nodded his head with a grin and pushed my face down into his hips again. I took his display of dominance in stride, engulfing his huge cock with my lips down almost to the base.
Although I didn’t think I’d ever take that entire thing into my mouth. Any semblance of self control was lost as he took full control, his strong hands using me for his pleasure. Minutes stretched out as my tongue rolled carefully around him with every long sliding thrust of his cock.
“I’m gonna come,” he grunted.
I tried to answer, but I was raised to not speak with my mouth full.
Instead, I threw everything into sucking him down, holding onto his clenching hips for support as I bobbed my lips over his trembling erection. When I was stable enough, I slipped a hand free to stroke the shaft, eager to push him to the edge.
Grizz’s palms slapped against the shower wall above and behind me, and he groaned with need as his thick cock let loose rope after rope of his hot seed into my mouth. I felt it coating the back of my throat, trailing across my tongue.
I swallowed, rose to his side, and began to lather his strong, sturdy muscles. He started to move into position to pleasure me, but I stopped him.
“Not in here,” I smiled.
“Oh?”
“Not a whole lot of room. I want to spread out nice and wide on that bed…”
Grizz chuckled, his eyes flashing with mischief. “Bed doesn’t look too comfortable. Might be a bit stiff for your tastes.”
I graced his bearded chin with the point of my index finger and smiled lustfully.
“We’ll just have to break it in, then.”
“Sounds like a plan,” he smiled.
We spent half an hour in the shower. And this time we took advantage of being naked and wet together.
With the hungry enthusiasm of being teenagers again, we ran sudsy hands and soapy cloths over the other’s hard lines and curves. Hungry with need to touch each other, we made sure to grope and cleanse every last inch of skin under that soothing, hot water.
After we turned off the water, Grizz dried me off with one of the towels left to us. While I did the same for him, his eye caught the little motel shaving kit.
“Mind if I take a few minutes?” Grizz asked, running his hands along the ragged edge of his beard.
“Go on,” I smiled, my fingertips dancing lightly along his heavy, dangling cock. “I can wait. There’s a convenience store in the office up front. I’ll grab us a couple drinks while you do that.” I tugged lightly at his beard with a warm smile; Grizz grinned, bending down to kiss me on the lips. I felt my heart swell and knew that he had always been the man for me.
I closed the door behind myself, smiling privately. Throwing my clothes back on, I dug out the motel key to lock the door behind myself.
Sure.
I was still rattled from being locked up, but I was free now.
Grizz had come to save me.
He’d pulled me out and gotten us far away from those fuckers, where nobody would think to look for us.
We were home fucking free.
Which is why I was so surprised when I locked the door on my way out, a bounce in my step, only to turn and see Mark lunging from beneath the front window.
Before I could make a peep, my body was racked with 50,000 volts…

Grizz
Something in the air just didn’t feel right.
Then there was the soft, muffled sound, and I immediately grabbed a hand towel on my way out the bathroom door. I wiped my face mostly clean with a swipe, then tossed the towel aside.
When I glanced out the front window, I growled with rising, raging combo of complete surprise and bitter fury.
NO.
I rushed to the door, but Mudflap was already tossing Kate in the back of a trunk. He was ready for me, and whipped out a pistol before I could make it halfway to him. He was clearly untrained, holding the gun slightly off-center with one hand, making no effort to steady the weapon against the kick. He’d be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn with that thing, even at this range.
“Holy shit,” he sputtered, his gaze having fallen down to my swinging cock. “Did they make you get a conceal permit for that shit?”
“Give her back,” I snarled.
“Not happening,” he spat back.
Doors started to open as a few other tenants poked their heads out, immediately drawn to the sight of a showdown in the lot – and one of the men being bare-assed naked.
“Inside!” He snapped, waving the gun around at them. “Or you all fucking die! Get back in there!”
The doors slammed.
The gun swung back at me again but I was already moving. Bullets started to ring out and the window behind me shattered into a million pieces. I spun and dove through the new opening, sailing through the air over the shitty window air conditioner and landing hard on the bed. A piece of stray glass cut a long line across my side as I tumbled, but the pain barely registered in my mind as I focused on the gunfire. More bullets kept coming, slamming into the far wall. Ten… Twelve… Fourteen…
Click…
I knew that sound. Mudflap just blew his fucking wad right there in the parking lot. He was out of bullets, and my hands were already lifting my vest from the floor and pulling a vicious looking 9mm free.
I could hear Mudflap slam the trunk shut.
I bolted for my jeans. I didn’t even bother with the boots or shirt.
I’d tried to spare this miserable fuck’s life. That was a mistake I wasn’t going to make twice.
I left the duffelbag of weapons in the closet, but it didn’t matter. I had everything I needed. One half empty glock and a rage burning like the surface of the fucking sun.
My bike keys were in my hands as I shoved my way out the door, pistol raised for action.
Mudflap was already peeling out of the fucking place like a bat out of hell. I lifted the gun, steadied it in both hands, and squeezed off a single shot. The rear driver side tire blew out, sending him skidding onto the main road as the rubber disintegrated on the rim.
That’s right.
Run, motherfucker, run.
‘Cause nothing can save you from me.
He was already out of sight as I brought the kickstand up with a bare foot and revved my engine, but I could hear the metal grinding on pavement as he made his getaway. I tucked the gun into the back of my jeans and peeled the fuck out of there.
Even on three tires he was making good headway as I hit the main road, but I could still see his car sparking off in the distance. He quickly blew through a red light and turned for the interstate…
At least I know which way he’s going, I thought to myself as I watched him head east – back towards Metairie.
He was bringing her back to her cage.
Not if I have anything to say about it…
I revved the engine and roared down the road, hoping that I’d have enough time before the police started heading this way. The last thing I needed was some stupid fuck in a uniform letting this asshole get away.
The light stayed red as I roared to it, but I wasn’t willing to lose my momentum. A quick glance both ways told me I was clear enough, and I rumbled through just in time for some jackass in a pickup to get the same idea.
Horns blared and curses were shouted as I raged through the intersection, hearing the crunch of metal and rubber behind me.
It didn’t look like a dangerous wreck, but it would be a costly one.
My eyes came forward just enough to see that I was dipping into oncoming traffic, and I quickly veered back as more horns blared and brakes squealed.
The interstate turn-off was just ahead, and I hit that round curve fast enough that it was a goddamned miracle the bike held grip on the road. I’d lost sight of him, and interstate traffic was blocking my view.
And then there he was.
