I could tell I wasn’t her type, but I knew that all women wanted a little bad boy in their life. I didn’t say anything when she turned back around. The drinks came and I saw her struggling with one of the shots and offered to take it to her table. She shook her head, again refusing my help and drank the shot down instead.

I watched her walk away and shivered a little. Why was I so drawn to a woman I didn’t know and who obviously didn’t want anything to do with me? I didn’t know that answer, but after another drink, I was like Freddy, moving into the direction of what I desired. I had about the same chance as Freddy, remembering the way the woman’s ice cold eyes looked through me.

The woman was sitting down at one of the tables in the back with another blonde that was not as pretty. She was thinner and had too much guile in her face when I stopped in front of the table. “Do you want to dance?”

She shook her head. The other girl piped in that she would, but it wasn’t her that I wanted. “I thought I told you that you weren’t my type?”

I sat down next to her in the chair and smiled at her friend. “I am everyone’s type.”

“I don’t know about Laney, but you are certainly my type. What’s your name?”

I smiled at the friend, but I didn’t give her my attention. Laney. The name sounded good in my mind and when I said it, it rolled off my tongue just right. “I’m Grady and it is good to meet you ladies.”

  “Cassandra. My name is Cassandra.”

I looked over at thin blonde and smiled. She melted and I knew that she would be as easy to spread as Jesse. But I didn’t want her, I wanted the one that looked at me like I were some kind of thug. She didn’t even know the truth that I really was, she had already decided that I was bad news. “So why am I not your type Laney?”

Once again, Cassandra piped in for her. “She doesn’t like the whole bad boy thing. She likes her men tame and well to do.”

Laney gave her friend a dirty look and I raised my eyebrows. “Well since there are not many of those tonight, why don’t you come and dance with me instead of waiting around for your Prince Charming?”

  “I don’t settle.”

  “It’s just a dance Laney.”

  Chapter 3: Laney

I knew he was trouble when I first seen him at the bar. It was hard for a guy like that to be anything else but trouble. It wasn’t the full sleeves on both arms that I am sure was paired with chest and back pieces. It wasn’t the earring in his ear or the way he smiled like he was used to getting what he wanted. It was those dark brown eyes that told me that he was bad news. Those eyes had already undressed me ten times since he had been sitting there. It had to be some kind of a record.

“If I give you one dance, will you let us drink in peace?”

He looked around at the loud throng of people, “This is where you go for peace?”

“Fine, will you stop harassing me if I dance with you?”

Grady nodded and his eyes lit up with victory, the smile on his face a little brighter. Cassandra was not happy to be ignored. She was usually the one that got all of the attention and I knew it was because of her agreeable nature. I wasn’t the sort that was able to shut my mouth when I was supposed to.

I got up and waited for him to stand. He took my hand and led me towards the moving bodies people all seeming to move to the same motion. I wasn’t much on dancing to that kind of music. It was dirty words and when he grabbed me around my waist and pull me against him, I knew that I shouldn’t have agreed to a dance. One dance with him was too dangerous.

My back was to him as he ground up against me, his hands and waist moving against mine. I could feel his breath on my neck and earlobe as he bent down to whisper in my ear. “You definitely feel like my type Laney.”

The music started to slow down, moving into another song. I started to pull away from him, but he pulled me back and then turned me so we were looking at each other. His dark eyes were like the sky after a storm, almost black and unpredictable. I waited for his lips, sure that he would kiss me, but he didn’t. I opened my eyes, unaware that I had closed him, wanting to ask him why he didn’t take the kiss. I was right there, dying for it.

When the music from the second song started to slow down and end, I pulled away from him. It had seemed like an eternity and only a moment at the same time. He stopped me from going too far and then finally leaned down and kissed me. It was like I had been waiting forever for it. There was something about him that made me forget the rough exterior. Or maybe it as the fact that he wasn’t my type that made him so safe. I would never see him again and for once, I was thinking about how good it would feel to be like everyone else and take my pleasure for the moment when I could get it.

His lips were softer than they should have been. Grady’s grip was hard on my hips, but the way he kissed me so softly, had me melting against his hard form. I forgot that I was in front of all those people, forgot everything but the way he felt pressing into my body in that moment. Another fast song came on and the movement around me finally made me realize what I was doing.

Pushing away from him, our lips moved apart and I finally looked up at him. “Am I still not your type?”

I bit my lower lip. He had to know what he was doing to me and by the way he was eying me like I was his next meal, I couldn’t deny it. The way his hands and lips felt on me had to be right. And if it was wrong, I was okay with that.

“Do you want to get out of here?”

I did, but I couldn’t just leave with him. My eyes went to the table and Cassandra. She was gone in the mass of people and I sighed to myself. “I was riding with my friend and now I can’t find her.”

“There was a hotel close by. Why don’t we take a walk over there? It’s just a block away. See what else happens when our body collides.”

My mind was screaming no as he asked, but my body was not so sure I should pass up such a nice offer. He could tell that I was fighting with the idea and he made it easier for me, moving down to kiss me again. It was like he knew I couldn’t think when he was touching me.

He finally pulled away and grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the busy club. The fresh air woke me up a little, but we were already moving towards the hotel that he had been talking about before. I wasn’t this type of girl though. I never had a one night stand, no matter how badly I wanted to. It went against everything I stood for, but if he kissed me again, I was not going to be able to stop him. I was already to the point I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to.

“Maybe we should talk or something Grady. This is all just happening a bit too fast for me.”

He stopped and pushed me up against the building we were passing. His lips moved to mine and then his body was pressing in against me, pinning me to the bricks. I felt them dig into my back as his body overwhelmed mine and I was left gasping by the touch of his hands. The feel of his hardness pressing into my stomach made me realize that we were too far to go back. I didn’t want to even if I could have.

“I thought we were going to a hotel?”

His mouth left my neck and he pulled me along towards the Villa Suites. It looked like a pretty nice place, but the last thing I was worried about was how many stars the place had. Grady paid cash, refusing to give ID and half-dragged me to the elevator. His body was on mine as soon as the doors closed. It was too fast. Still my mind was reeling with the speed of his need. He was lifting my skirt up and massaging me through my panties by the time the bell rang for the third floor.

I pushed his hands away and waited for him to get in front of me, so he couldn’t mess with me from behind. His hands seemed to stay on my ass and as soon as we were inside the room, it was right back there, pulling me against his hardness.

My clothes were a puddle on the floor before I knew it and my front was pushed up against the mattress, as his body pushed me deeper in the cushions. There were no more words, just moans and whimpers as his tongue and teeth teased my back and legs. He pulled me up to my knees, biting my cheeks
before licking my center from behind. My face buried into the mattress, hiding the screams that he pulled from my body. I had never felt so needy, my core rubbing against his face as I moved back to give him more. Feeling a hard smack on my ass, I felt him leaving me. I went to move and he stopped me with his voice.

“Stay just how you are. If you could see what I am seeing, Jesus.”

I could feel myself getting red and I turned back so I could see what he was doing. Grady was pulling his clothes off and he was covered in tattoos. It made me shiver. Knowing that I was right about him and he was some kind of thug. He was a bad boy, but in that moment, I couldn’t get past the unabashed hunger in his eyes. I was already his in the man’s eyes. It was like I didn’t have a say in it and as his dark eyes pinned me as well as his hands could, I didn’t try to move or get away.

He moved behind me and I stared up at the wooden headboard. My eyes closed as I felt his thickness rubbing against my need. “So wet Laney. You are already ready for me.”

His fingers rubbed my fluid around to make my slippery and then pressed inside of my hot hole. I cursed as he added another finger quickly, rubbing my inner walls, stretching me in preparation for his massive meat to come. I hadn’t gotten a good look, but I could feel how wide the cockhead was. It was more than what I needed and I wanted it right then, I was more ready than I had ever been before and I was craving him inside of me.

“Please Grady. I need you inside of me now!”

The last word was a scream as he worked himself in with one hard thrust forward. My wetness let him press in with ease, slamming into my womb and taking my breath away. “Oh God!”

It was all I could say, chanting it as he moved faster, pushing in and pulling out with loud groans. He talked dirty, telling me how I good I felt and smacking my ass to tell me how good my ass looked as he slammed into me from behind. Pulling my hair by the handful, I screamed out as I came. He handled me like no other, but it was just want my body wanted. I was his for the taking and his stamina was mind-numbing.

I finally crawled away from him in the early hours of the morning. I could barely breathe, my heart pounding and body shaking, but he seemed ready for more.

“I can’t Grady. That is all I have.”

He looked down and grinned. It was a boyish look that threw me off and disarmed my defenses. “Are you sure?”

I nodded and closed my eyes. For one that was usually pretty modest, I just didn’t have the energy to cover myself. I lay sprawled on top of the covers, not caring that I wasn’t wearing a stitch of clothing. I felt his fingertips brushing over my shoulder and then down the rest of my body. I shivered, but I was quickly out, unable to keep up.

Waking up the next morning when I started to move, I realized that I was not alone. As my eyes adjusted I took in the room and then remembered how I had acted the night before. I almost blushed when I thought about the man next to me. He was a stranger, but had touched every inch of my body. His arm was around me and it felt good to be nestled against his body, but I had to go. I wasn’t supposed to be there with him and I had to get to work.

Sliding away from him as sneaky as I could, I finally got to the edge when I could get up and he was still asleep. He looked peaceful and handsome, I could see the hardness twitching underneath the blankets and it made me want to go back to him. I drank in the sight of him for a moment longer before I turned away and started to get dressed. I knew I would never see him again and I wanted to remember him just as he was.

The cop in me wanted to know who he was and after a moment of indecision, I looked into his wallet and found his full name on his ID. I would never forget Grady Berlow as long as I lived.

Looking back once more, I left the room and shut the door quietly behind me. I had to get home and get in uniform before my shift started. All throughout the day, my mind went to the man that made every movement a little harder and every part of my body sore. I shook it off though, knowing it was just a fling and it wouldn’t happen again.

  Chapter 4: Grady

“So where the hell were you last night? You were there one minute and the next minute you are gone.”

I had just got home and Freddy was already there and in my face. The small room above the bar was not big enough for both of us and I walked down the stairs to the front. It was still early enough that the place was closed up, but I was more worried about the splitting headache I still had from the night before.

“Do you always got to talk so loud?”

Jesse chuckled and clapped me on the shoulder. I poured a couple of shots in two glasses and handed him one. “I saw you with that thick blonde. Is that where you ran off to?”

I closed my eyes reminiscing. I had woken up alone the next morning and usually it was a relief, leaving no need to disentangle myself from last night’s flavor, but I felt a little sad that she wasn’t there. Laney hadn’t left a note or anything else behind but the sweet smell of her perfume still lingering in the air. I tried to block it out, but the memory made my pants tighten.

“Man, that must have been some good tail if you are like this the next day.”

  It was.

“Just another chick. I don’t even know her last name.”

“The fact that you know her first is a breakthrough for you. I got it on with the redhead and I don’t remember anything more than she had a nice rack.”

I sighed and took a drink of the fire water I’d poured. “Come on Grady, we got money to get.”

Knowing he was right, I finished the drink and went to the back to get dressed. It had felt strange without my jacket on. It was a part of me and it was good to have it back on. The Black Angels were known in the state to be some of the worst of the worst, but to me they were family. Being raised in a motorcycle gang, I knew nothing else and when I was told to go get money, it was exactly what I did.

The job wasn’t too bad and only minimal pain and suffering had to be caused. Sometimes I felt bad about the poor schmuck that had borrowed from the wrong person, but today I felt distracted. My heart wasn’t in it and not even I believed the threat when said in such a way. Freddy had to take over and it was late in the afternoon before we had gone to all four collections that the boss asked for.

With the money delivered, we went back to the bar and I found myself annoyed with Jesse trying to hang on me. There was talk of going out, but my mind was on the blonde vixen I had had the night before. She was the perfect mix of freak and sweet. I wish I had gotten a chance to have her one last time in the morning, but I told myself, it was only a one night stand anyways. I didn’t understand why she was still on my mind.

I went to bed early, ignoring the woman downstairs that I couldn’t seem to shake. It was Laney I thought of that night, tossing and turning with the remembered feel of her skin and the sound of her bliss ringing in my ears.

  ***

More work and less sleep awaited me the next week. I wanted to see Laney, but I didn’t know much about her beyond her first name. After going down to that club several times, I was no closer to finding her. I couldn’t make it to the city every night, but when I could, I did.

It was a weird place to be in. I never thought of the woman after I was done with them, hardly ever. Usually I was more worried about going to the next one or Dark Angel business. Now I couldn’t be bothered with anything but finding her. My own efforts weren’t doing me any good, so I found the gang’s man that got things done. If anyone could find her, it would be Renald.

I gave him the information that I had, but I knew more about the way her insides felt, than anything helpful. I gave him a name and a picture of her that was on my phone. It was my only saving grace and I had done it while she was lying next to me. It had been a fluke, something I never did, but I remembered thinking I would always want to see her in that moment.

“You don’t have any other pictures?”

He was looking at me a little strangely and it made me want to laugh out loud. It probably
did look strange and sound weird to him. The only thing I knew was her name and where she had said her family was from. The only picture I had was one of her sleeping. It was obviously not someone that I knew well and I was impressed that he didn’t ask any more questions.

“Yeah, that’s the only one I got. I met her once and I can’t stop thinking about her.”

Renald nodded and smiled a little. “I knew it was something like that. You don’t usually want any information and I don’t think I have ever seen you with a woman more than once.”

The older, scarred man was right. I looked from the wide scar that covered the left side of his face and moved to his eyes. “Then you meet that one that makes you want to forget all of the rest.”

Renald ran the picture through the scanner, uploading it so he could try to run it through face recognition software, but he told me that I was going to take time. “A picture like this may take a couple of weeks. I will see what I can find out for you. If she is around, I will find her. Next time though, you may want to get a last name.”

I couldn’t agree more, but the time that it had mattered I hadn’t. I didn’t know if I could wait days or weeks. I wanted to find her then, but I would have to wait.

And wait I did. It wasn’t a few days, or even a few weeks, it was a couple of months until I got the information that I so desperately needed. A lot of things started to make sense when I learned who it was that had been occupying my mind for so long.

  “Are you sure Renald?”

“If that is the face, than yes, I am sure. I am sorry Grady. I don’t know what to say. There is no telling if it was coincidence or something else. But all the information is there. Do with it what you will.”

“Thanks Renald. We can keep this between us, right?”

He nodded, but I wasn’t so sure that he wasn’t going to tell the Loch about this. It was a danger to the gang and I knew he was going to see it that way. I was going to have to be more careful, but I had never thought I would find out that kind of information.
