Love's Fury

She could not help wondering how the bond would affect this particular area of their relationship. The sensations were already overwhelming at times when they joined. What would the intensity be like now that they could feel the other’s desire and pleasure? She could definitely feel his pleasure mixed with her own, heightening her own arousal. Part of the reason she was already so wet was his level of arousal traveling through their bond affecting her.
“Interesting question.” Conri pulled her forward so the entrance he most desired lie directly over his hardened shaft.
A rush of desire washed over her, so intense she closed her eyes to block out all other stimulus, struggling to breathe.
“Take me inside you. I want to feel what you feel.”
Hearing him say those words, so intimately, inside her mind, nearly sent her over the edge. Straddling him on her knees she hovered over his shaft, pulling it back, sliding the tip just barely inside. She could feel the effort it took for him to allow her control of the situation.
Slowly sliding her body down onto his shaft his pleasure flooded through her as well, creating an overpowering mix of sensations. “Ri.” It was more of a plea than anything else.
“I am here love. You are not alone in this.”
Leaning down to rest her forehead against his she stopped moving, the storm of sensations too much to handle.
His hands slid beneath her buttocks, slowly raising them up. “Just feel. Do not think. Let it wash over.” Without warning Conri pushed her body down onto his shaft until every bit of his hard length filled her.
Letting go of any attempt at control she allowed the feelings to wash over her in one enormous wave, screaming out when they continued crashing over her again and again as Conri lifted her body up and down on his shaft, a never-ending tidal wave of unimaginable pleasure.
Sitting next to Conri in the great hall that night she felt exhausted and content. They explored the extent of Conri’s powers after making love. He seemed to have all of the same abilities she did.
Rory, Kaelan, Eanna, Ronan, Etain, Will, and Donal filled out the rest of their table. It felt as if her life had suddenly fallen back into place. Nessa thought about the meal she spent on the dais next to Rory. That wooden platform had seemed an ocean away from where she really wanted to be, next to her husband.
Sliding closer to Conri on the bench Nessa released a small sigh of relief at being seated next to him again at his regular table. There was nowhere on earth she would rather be right now.
Conri grinned, pulling her up onto his lap. “I like being able to hear your thoughts.”
Nessa ran a hand through his brown hair, looking into his eyes. All she felt across their bond was love. She knew people were talking about her affair with Rory. Some were calling Conri a fool for taking her back yet she sensed no resentment from her husband.
“Hear her thoughts?” Rory’s eyes opened wide in astonishment as he stared at them from across the table.
Nessa’s gaze never left Conri’s as she answered Rory. “An effect of the bonding.” With a quick kiss to her husband’s lips she tried to stand up. “I will be right back.”
Conri held fast. “There is no need to do that.”
Of course he knew her intent before she even acted. “Yes, I do. You deserve better. The things they are saying about you…”
“Do not matter.” She could feel that it did bother him. As soon as she started thinking about the sidelong glances and snickers Conri attempted to bury his embarrassment so she would not sense it.
“It does matter but I can quite easily rectify the situation.” Settling a quick kiss on his lips she pulled free from his ever so slightly loosened grasp.
Walking over to the dais she stepped up onto the wooden platform. Standing in front of Rory’s table she waited patiently until all of the chatter stopped and everyone’s eyes were fixed on her, which did not take very long. Her life seemed to be a source of never-ending curiosity now.
“Rory and I were never actually together. I was trying to protect my husband from anyone that thought to use him against me by pretending I no longer loved him. Conri is the only man I have ever been with, the only man I have ever wanted.” She could clearly see that most believed her. They would turn to the person next to them and waggle a finger as if to say I told you so. Apparently she failed to convince most of them in the first place, her love for Conri shining though the lies. There were a few shaking their heads and glancing up at her suspiciously, whispering to each other, still not convinced. Glancing down at Rory she silently pleaded for his assistance. No one would doubt his word on the subject.
Rory left his seat at their table and stepped up onto the dais next to her. “What she says is true. We have never been anything more than friends. Convincing everyone she no longer loved Conri seemed the best option for protecting him at the time. Thankfully they have agreed on a better method to ensure his safety. Abstinence is not something I ever want to experience again.”
A din of chatter suddenly filled the room as everyone began discussing Rory’s statement. Now they were all nodding their heads in agreement while whispering.
Conri appreciated the gesture no matter the outcome. She could feel his gratitude through their bond. His eyes locked on hers as she walked back to their table. He turned to straddle the end of the bench as she approached, his mind playing out the scene he most desired.
More than happy to indulge her husband Nessa settled herself on his lap, wrapping her legs around his waist. Winding her arms round his neck she kissed him. Conri pulled her closer, quickly deepening the kiss.
“Were they always like this?” A mix of annoyance and shock were clearly conveyed by the way Ronan said the words.
Conri pulled back, grinning at her. “I believe we annoy my brother.”
Unable to stop smiling she glanced at Ronan who sat staring at them with an odd look on his face, as if her were trying to divine the answer to a puzzling question.
“Yes.” Will said the word as if he were disgusted but the grin curling the edges of his mouth gave away her friend’s true feelings.
Conri slid back a bit on the bench, setting her down next to him. Throwing his leg over the bench he turned to sit facing everyone else at the table. “Get used to it. You are going to be seeing a lot more of us.”
“I am going back to Killala, so unless you are planning to…” Ronan stopped mid-sentence, realizing exactly what his brother meant.
Conri was grinning at Ronan. “Assuming father is willing to have us.”
“That is not a question you need ever ask. There is nothing I want more.” For once a smile graced Kaelan’s face, eyes glittering with true happiness.
“I have one more favor to ask. My mother cannot stay here indefinitely. Rory is mortal and will die eventually.” Conri felt no need to say more, his question was obvious.
Kaelan did not even bother to glance at Etain, surprisingly enough seated next to him. “Your mother is going back to Knocknashee.”
Conri’s wounded shock traveled clearly through their bond. “Back to Knocknashee?”
Etain did not look away. She met her son’s gaze with a pained expression of her own. “This is something I must do. Please try to understand.”
“Understand what, that I will never see you again? Why did you bother coming with us in the first place?” The rending pain of his mother’s betrayal cut deep. She was returning to a man who hated him, who would never allow him to visit his mother, essentially cutting off all contact.
Feeling Conri’s pain through their bond set off a blaze of anger inside Nessa. How dare Etain come here just to wound her son by deserting him again. Perhaps it was time Etain knew the whole truth about her father. “There is something I think you should know about your father. He killed the other ancients and their bonded mates. He has tried to kill Kaelan. Given the chance he will do the same to your son. I know Ciaran is your father but he does not deserve your loyalty.”
Etain’s g
aze fixed on Kaelan for a moment, adoration clear to see for anyone paying even a modicum of attention. “Kaelan told me what my father has done. That is why I need to go back.”
Conri understood instantly. “She is trying to protect me.”
“Not just you. Did you see the way she looked at your father?” Etain was doing it for Kaelan, to make amends and prove her love, a seriously grand gesture.
“I am tired of people trying to protect me.” Conri’s angry glare focused on his mother.
Nessa laid a hand on her husband’s arm just as his mouth opened to speak.
Conri stopped and looked at her. “I have every right to voice my opinion.”
“Leave it alone. She is doing this for your father. Do not interfere.” Nessa felt absolutely certain now that Etain and Kaelan would find their way back to each other.
“Are you two holding an entire conversation in your heads so that we cannot hear?” Ronan sounded seriously aggrieved by the idea.
Conri ignored her strongly worded suggestion, and Ronan’s question as well, turning his attention back to Etain. “Grandfather will never trust you now. It is not safe for you to go back. Can you imagine how difficult it would have been to kill one of the ancients or their bonded mate, how brutal their deaths must have been?”
“Someone needs to keep an eye on what your grandfather is doing. I am the only one that stands any chance of getting close to him.” Etain glanced at Kaelan again, furtively, out of the corner of her eye. “I cannot stand by and do nothing while he attempts to kill the people I love.”
Kaelan’s eyes locked on Etain’s for a brief moment. Etain looked into his eyes with a wealth of emotion, declaring her love for all to see, a fairly bold move for a woman who claimed to possess no bravery at all.
“Husband please, leave her be.” Nessa moved her hand to Conri’s thigh, sliding it suggestively up from his knee.
Conri removed her hand, placing it emphatically back on the table. “Stop trying to give me orders and manipulate me with sex. I am not allowing her to do this.”
“You give me orders all the time and…”
“And you never follow them. Hands where I can see them.” Conri tried to look at her with something that resembled a fierce glare. It fell a bit short due to the topic.
Setting her other hand on the table where he could see it Nessa tried not to smile. Her touch immediately distracted him, just as she intended, but Conri was having none of it. Fighting the urge to touch him again she attempted to control her thoughts.
Conri’s lips curled ever so slightly at the corners as he struggled to maintain a stern expression. “Do not.”
She absolutely could not resist. Challenging Conri’s rock hard demeanor had always been her favorite thing to do. Setting her left hand on his knee she slowly slid it up the inside of his thigh, pushing his tunic out of the way until she reached her desired destination. Allowing the edge of her hand to lightly caress his sleeping shaft she leaned over, kissing the side of his neck just below his ear. Her right hand moved across his lower back as his shaft began to harden. “And if I cannot help myself? What then husband?” Nessa allowed thoughts of their joining earlier that morning to float through her mind, the intense pleasure, both of them screaming out in ecstasy.
“See what I mean, blatant disregard for my orders.” Conri shook his head in mock frustration. His thoughts told another story entirely. An image of her naked, impaled on his shaft, head thrown back, screaming out in pleasure, let her know he was well and truly distracted now.
Nessa ran her hand back down his thigh, sighing as her fingers caressed rock hard muscle. Now she was the one who could not think clearly. Suddenly no one else at the table mattered. Everyone in the room seemed to disappear.
Conri finally grinned, pleased by her intense reaction to touching him so intimately. His eyes locked on hers as he tried, unsuccessfully, to concentrate on his mother’s decision to move back to Knocknashee. “We need to work on your ability to follow orders.”
“But I do so enjoy defying you.” Nessa leaned in close. “Would you truly deny me that pleasure?” There was a double meaning to her words, conveyed by the slow sensual way she whispered them in his ear.
Conri stood up. Stepping over the bench he slid an arm under her knees lifting her up. His left arm rested behind her back, cradling her in his arms. Before taking another step his mouth descended on hers.
Her left hand reached up, fingers weaving intimately through his hair, pulling his head closer as she opened her mouth to allow him entry. The feel of his tongue gently slipping in and out of her mouth elicited a soft moan.
The love she felt through their bond filled her as nothing else ever had. Every moment with her husband was a precious gift she would never again squander.
Conri stopped kissing her long enough to look directly at his mother. “I do not think we should give grandfather even one more moment of our lives.”
Nessa laid her head on Conri’s shoulder, thinking she would like to kill Ciaran now and end the threat to her husband’s life. Why wait until he actually attempted to kill them.
“No, now we live our lives. Do not give my grandfather another thought. You have more important things to worry about.” Her husband’s thoughts turned a bit lusty after that.
Knowing Conri had access to her powers provided a great deal of comfort but she would never stop worrying over his safety. Whatever the future held they would face it together. Mostly because their bond ensured she could not act without him. Her husband scowled at her as thoughts of going behind his back to kill his grandfather ran through her mind, much to her own dismay. Trying to appear suitably remorseful she failed and wound up grinning instead. “I am sorry. I cannot help it.” Having Conri know her every thought could prove highly annoying.
Her husband actually smiled. “I like this. Now you cannot get away with anything.” Conri leaned down to whisper in her ear. “Worry not wife, I plan to keep you very busy bearing my children.”
Nessa’s gaze flew up to her husband, eyes locking on his. Children, in all honestly she never even considered the possibility. The idea sent a warm thrill running through her body.
Conri headed toward their tower, still carrying her in his arms. “I do believe we should get to work on that right now.”
