My Sweet Dessert: The Brothers of Devil's Comfort Series 2 Book 2

“Crabby, you have to leave.”
“What?”
“You have to disappear for a couple of days.”
“Why the fuck should I do that.”
Finally, Dec raises his gaze from Apple-Pie. His green eyes desolate, yet determination still shines through them.
“Because the fucking cops will be watching you.”
“It’s my mess. I’ll fucking clean it up.”
“She’s a sweet kid Crabby and deserves more than this.”
My pacing about the small house comes to a standstill as I spin around to glare at Dec. The accusation in his voice is vibrating through my body.
“What about Ivy. Isn’t she a sweet kid?”
“Leave Ivy out of this.”
“Could you walk away from Ivy? Fuck. Did you walk away?”
Dec refuses to look in my direction as he continues to stroke the matted dark hair. Yeah, the girl mattered to him. She was Tabby’s sister in law and spoilt by the club.
“What happens when she wakes up and I’m not there?”
“We’ll deal with it.”
Slowly I nod my head and walk out of the room which was closing in on me. On my way out, I bump into Sundance, the expression in his eyes hurting me.
“Keep me posted brother.”
I didn’t leave the area as the brothers expected. Instead, I find a tree and climb onto the branch. I wasn’t leaving Apple-Pie until I knew she was safe. From here, I watch and wait. Waited as the minutes went by slowly until I finally hear the sirens. Waited while the EMT’s went into the old house and did what was necessary. Waited and silently watched as the emergency vehicle drove away. Their siren’s fading in the night air. I continue to wait as Adam and his men search the house and the area. Refusing to move from my position, until they have left.
“I fucking told you to leave.”
Below me, Dec has lit a cigarette, quietly smoking on the stick as he blew smoke into the air. Sundance snickered as he came to stand beside Dec. Agilely I jumped from the tree and slap Dec on the back.
“I’m going.”
“Twiggy’s expecting you.”
As he spoke, Sundance scribbled on a piece of paper, handing it over to me. From the paper to the trees my glance went. Fuck, I didn’t want to interrupt Twiggy and Yvette. According to Apple Pie, the two of them were loved up. With a mocking laugh, I crumple the piece of paper as I place it in my pocket. Loved up, that should be fucking me.
Slowly we make our way back to where we have parked the bikes. As I gun the engine on the Harley, turning it towards the highway, Dec leant over.
“I’m sorry Crabby. This is a lousy homecoming.”
Defiantly I glare at Dec. I wasn’t giving up. I was going to find the bastards and they were going to suffer. Just as Apple-Pie was suffering. Sure, I’ll lay my head low for a few days. Then I was returning to Comfort Springs in search of answers.
“It wasn’t the fucking homecoming I was expecting Dec. But I’ll get it. She waited for me, and now I’ll wait for her.
The bar Twiggy and Yvette was staying at, was a dive. Yet I didn’t care. Just because I was not spending the night with Apple-Pie as planned, there was nothing to stop me from becoming drunk. My first taste of alcohol in five years and it tastes bitter. The evening was sour and nothing was going to change it. Not the lousy honky tonk music playing in the jukebox. Not the skanks who came over and placed their lush bodies on my knee. I haven’t had a woman in five years, and the only one I wanted, was in some hospital. Surrounded by strangers.
MSD
Shit, I’ve been stuck inside this hospital for nearly a week and there still wasn’t any sign of me going home. It wasn’t that I was stuck here that was pissing me off. It was that Crabby hadn’t been to see me. Nor has he been in touch. If I ask about him, Momma and Rayven change the subject, Quick Draw would flush guiltily before turning away. While Tabby and Inferno refused to mention his name.
Adam has also called several times. Questioning me about the incident. To protect Crabby, because I didn’t know where he was or what he was doing. I gave as little information as possible to the sheriff.
With disgust, I threw the book I was attempting to read onto the bed and glance out of the window. Where was he, and what was he doing. Deep in thought, it took a moment to realize the ward door was opening and stepping in to the room, was Trax.
Trax was gorgeous and I would drool over him, yet he wasn’t Crabby. He didn’t have the power to make my heart do funny things. Not in the way Crabby could with just a glance. At over six feet, he was taller than Crabby, his jet-black hair, lay in curls over his shoulders. Sometimes, when I look into his cobalt eyes, I would lose my train of thought.
“Hi Emily.”
Disappointed that it was Trax who walked through the door, I returned his greeting.
“Trax.”
“Hey, come on. Give me your prettiest smile.”
Weakly I raised my lips. The healing cuts, pulling slightly against my flesh hurt, causing me to wince as I did. Quietly I watch Trax as he comes further into the room. His large body sitting on the bed beside mine as his hand raises one of mine off the bed covering.
“Trax where is he?”
Trax’s glance went out of the window as his grip tightened, and I was afraid he was going to be like the others, and not answer.
“He’ll be here when he can Emily. After all, it was best if he left Comfort Springs for a few days.”
“Yeah, but that was over a week ago and he hasn’t been in touch.”
Trax’s fingers passed over my cheek as he brushed my hair behind my ears, and I wondered what it would be like to kiss him. To feel his lips against mine. Angry with myself, I shook myself free of his touch.
“Do you have his number?”
“Emily.”
“Please Trax; I need to talk to him”
Trax’s hand hesitated over his cut pocket and then slowly he withdrew his phone, pressed some buttons, and passed it to me. Greedily I snatched it out of his hand and waited for Crabby to answer. When he did, my stomach jumped and I laughed at myself. I was feeling sorry for myself. That’s why I was drawn to Trax briefly.
“Hi Crabby.”
“Hi Apple-Pie.”
I close my eyes, reveling in his voice as it sent a shiver through me. Yeah Crabby was mine and this delay was just that. A simple delay.
“When are you coming to visit me?”
The silence over the line, sent pain through my heart, and I began to doubt Crabby’s feelings for me.
“Please Crabby.”
I hated that I was begging him, and wished I had the strength to close the phone. But like a fool, I hugged the instrument close to my ear.
“I’ll visit in a couple of day.”
“Do you promise?”
“Yes, I promise. After all, this wasn’t how I was expecting to spend my freedom Emily.”
Crabby’s tone left me pouting. I wanted my man with me, and I didn’t know where he was.
“I’ll see you soon Crabby.”
The seductive laughter at the other end of the cell, has me clenching my legs as desire throbs through my pussy.
“Yes you will Apple-Pie.”
Apple-Pie, he has called me Apple-Pie, and I smile as I hand the cell back to Trax, who has never left my side as I made my call.
“Do I get a reward Emily?”
Blankly I glare at Trax. My mind still going over the too brief call with Crabby.
“Reward?”
“Yes… A kiss.”
Trax’s lips were pressed against mine as he whispers the last word and I find myself responding to his touch. The kiss was soft and I my eyes start to close. Then as suddenly as the kiss began, I swiftly pull away.
“You shouldn’t have done that.”
Trax gave a shrug of his shoulders, smiling down at me as he rose from the bed.
“Maybe. Maybe not. We’ll see Emily.”
Chapter 3

nbsp; The parking lot of Comfort Springs County Hospital is quiet, and apart from the occasional light seeping out of the hospital windows, darkness has descended over the building. A week. I was freed from prison a week ago, and I’m only just able to visit Apple-Pie. All because Tabby had been insistent that I cut all contact with my girl.
“Sorry bro that just wasn’t going to happen.”
To keep myself occupied, for the last week, Twiggy and I have spent our time searching for the motherfucker who hurt Apple-Pie. Only to have drawn a blank to his whereabouts. It was the frustration at the lack of our success, which had eventually pulled me back to Comfort Springs. With one last look around the parking lot, I remove my helmet and run my hand through my hair, then I turn towards the main doors.
In one of those hospital beds, lay someone who was beginning to mean more to me than the fucking club. And I love that fucking club. It is my life. Casually I stroll in to the emergency room and noticing a few drunks, I make my way over to them, peering over their heads to check on the nurses. When I am happy that their attention is elsewhere, I causally left the emergency room, following the instructions Trax had texted for Apple-Pie’s room.
The room is on the third floor, and knowing the stairs wouldn’t be in use, I quickly run up them, finding Apple-Pie’s room easily. The room is in darkness, and silently I stand at the bottom of the bed, watching Apple-Pie as she slept. My hand yearned to reach and stroke her hair, her face. To trace her lush red lips. Lips I crave to kiss and taste. Slowly I let my eyes glide over the bedcovers, her breasts gently heaving as she breathed in her sleep. When my gaze came to rest on the leg in the plaster cast, the lust, which had been gently growing suddenly, turned to rage.
According to Sundance, Apple-Pie hadn’t been able to identify her kidnapper and although we had a vague idea who it was. The bastard was eluding us. I was up for a game of cat and mouse. Now that I was back in Comfort Springs I wasn’t going anywhere. I had a lady to claim. To make as mine, and then there was a score which needed settling.
“Crabby?”
“Yeah, it’s me Apple-Pie.”
As Apple-Pie struggle into a half sitting position, I made my way to the head of the bed and fluffed her pillows. Shit, I needed to do something with my hands, when all they were doing, were screaming out to touch the delicate flesh Apple-Pie has exposed in her struggle.
“How long have you been standing there and why didn’t you wake me?”
“First kiss me Apple-Pie. Then we can talk.”
Apple-Pie’s lips were as soft as I expected. The kiss was tentative, explorative, and explosive, as I tasted her inner innocents. In my need to push Apple-Pie on to the bed, I grip the stainless steel headboard and forced myself to hold back. It was Apple-Pie who finally broke the kiss, and when she did, I discovered tears in her eyes.
“Why did it take you so long Crabby?”
How could I tell her it was the mixture of Tabby, anger and frustration which had kept me away. That I felt hopeless when there was little I could do.
“Business Emily. You know the club has to come first.”
When I first entered the room, I hadn’t bothered to switch the light on, and neither had Apple-Pie turned the overhead light on. Yet I felt her disappointment in my answer, especially when she flopped back on to the pillow.
“Really Crabby. What about us? We were supposed to be getting married.”
“It couldn’t be helped Emily.”
“Would you have gone if we had gotten married?”
“Reluctantly, Yes.”
“Maybe you should remind Inferno what it’s like to be in love.”
My laughter boomed into the room, and Apple-Pie threw a panicked glance towards the door. To ease, and to assure her, I raise the hands she had clasped, praising the fingers apart as I kiss each one.
“Maybe if I was to kiss you again. You’d stop sulking.”
“I’m not sulking.”
“No, but you are looking for a fight.”
“Kiss me Crabby.”
This time my kiss was neither gentle nor explorative as I invade Apple-Pies mouth with my tongue, claiming my woman. The whimper at the back of Apple-Pie’s throat soon turned into a moan and her hands began to stroke my chest and stomach over my cut. Her fingers greedily going to the buttons as she pushed off the cut and black leather jacket I was wearing.
“Apple-Pie.”
“Don’t stop Crabby. I’ve waited a long time for this.”
MSD
It was true, I have waited a long time to touch and taste Crabby’s raw passion. A passion, which is delayed because of the jerk who kidnapped me.
Crabby’s mouth once more found mine, and I as I thrust my tongue into his mouth, I grapple with his jacket, causing Crabby to fall on to me. As his hand came out to steady himself, he caught my leg in its brace, and I yell as a sharp pain ran up my leg. Crabby’s hand quickly covered my mouth as he soothed me, and I was unsure if to laugh or cry at the look of contrite on his face.
“Shit Apple-Pie, are you okay?”
Mutely I nod my head as I attempt to grab Crabby’s hand off my mouth so that I can breathe.
“Fuck, Crabby.” I gasp as I draw breath. “Just because that jerked failed at killing me. Doesn’t mean you get to finish me off.”
“You’re bad for my health Apple-Pie, but I think we’ll both survive.”
Although my leg is throbbing, I still manage to smile ruefully up at Crabby and stroke the prickly flesh on his chin.
“You need a shave.”
“Later.”
“Are you leaving Comfort Springs again?”
Crabby has my fingers in his, and he keeps kissing the tips, causing me to breathe with difficulty.
“Not if I don’t have to.” Crabby places another kiss on my fingers, then he spoke, his eyes serious.
“Tell me everything Emily.”
Patiently, I spent the next hour going over my ordeal as Crabby asked me his questions. Sometimes repeating them until he appears to be satisfied with my answer. When he asked me to describe my assailant, I have to confess I couldn’t remember much. That my time spent as a prisoner has turned hazy.
“Are you sure you have no idea what he looked like.”
Dismally I shake my head.
“I try Crabby. Sometimes, I’ll lie awake at night and try to remember his face. However, nothing ever comes. I just keep coming up blank.”
No matter how often I go over the events of the day, I fail to see his face. I’ve spoken to the doctor about this, and he says it should just be a temporary thing. That once I’m over the shock, I’ll start to remember more.
“It’s okay. We’ll find him.”
The undertone of the threat in Crabby’s voice has my body stiffening, and I turn into the man’s body, which has managed to climb into my bed, and was cuddling me. When Crabby’s arms had first wrapped securely around me, I had felt safe and protected. Now I have a sense of emptiness.
“Crabby I’ve just got you. Don’t you be doing anything stupid.”
“Fuck Apple-Pie, you’re spending too much time with Tabby and Inferno.”
“Good. Because you listen to them. So maybe you’ll listen to me.”
To lighten the mood which has fallen around us. I rub my hand over the flesh of Crabby’s chest, my hand having slid under his T-shirt long ago, and giggle.
“When I imagined us in bed Crabby. It wasn’t like this.”
Crabby’s response was to laugh softly as he kissed me on my head.
“Mine neither Apple-Pie. I dreamt us naked, flesh to flesh, and sweaty as we made love.”
The pulse in my clit has come to life and I can feel myself growing damp at Crabby’s words. Dawn was breaking and I didn’t want him to leave.
“What will it be like Crabby?”
“Bliss Apple-Pie. Slow bliss. I’ll kiss and lick every inch of your skin. I’ll play with your nipples until you’re begging for me to stop… I’ll kiss you here.”
/> As he spoke, Crabby’s hand has found their way to the junction of my legs, which thanks to the leg brace, are slightly spread. His fingers creep under my nightdress and slid in-between the flesh, gently rubbing the damp moisture which has begun to gather, and my hips arch, seeking for the relief my pussy is desperate for, but been denied.
When he kisses the top of my head once more, and removes his fingers, I groan at my mounting frustration. I should be a woman now. Crabby’s woman. Instead, I’m lying in a hospital bed while Crabby heavily pets me, causing my frustration to mount from the lack of release. Shit, I’ll be mad before I leave this place.
“But not tonight Apple-Pie and not in this bed.”
Chapter 4
The clubhouse was deserted and Inferno has kept me waiting for over an hour. Okay, so I had arrived back in Comfort Springs sooner than expected. Shit, my ears were still ringing from Laura’s bashing. I haven’t seen the woman in several years, and had she asked how I was. No, she had torn into me like a tornado, forbidden me from seeing or speaking to Apple-Pie. Doggedly I bit back my smile. The years have been good for Laura. No longer afraid of fighting for what is hers. Gone is the timid frighten woman I remember.
I had meant to leave the hospital long before Apple-Pie’s visitors were due. Instead, as I snuggled up beside her, embracing the touch of her flesh on the cramped bed, my eyes had drifted shut and for the first time in a long time, I slept a dreamless sleep. Secure in the comfort of her arms. I had been lost to the break of daylight. Nothing had disturbed my sleep until Laura had begun to rant. Then the sound of her high pitch had begun to penetrate into my subconscious and groggily, I rubbed my eyes as I slowly raised myself out of the bed, staring down stupidly at Laura.
“Get out. Get out. We don’t need you here. And you can tell the rest of that club to stay away.”
While Teddy had tried to soothe her, Laura’s words hadn’t slowed down.
“It’s because of you, and that biking club that my Emily has wound up in hospital, Not once, but twice… Do you hear me? Twice they’ve tried to kill her. Well they’re not getting a third chance.”
