He sat down next to the window, opened it, and lit a smoke. What’d happened was finally starting to dawn on him, and judging by the expression on his daughter’s face, she was having the same revelation. He wondered how much she saw and figured out. So far, she seemed okay, so he kind of figured she hadn’t noticed exactly where he was… He sighed.
“Honey, I’m really sorry. I didn’t think you’d come home.”
“I know, Dad. I’ll call before I do it next time.”
“You shouldn’t have to call before coming home.”
He didn’t like the thought of that. It was her home, too. She should be able to come and go however the hell she wanted.
“Dad, I’m eighteen! It’s really time you had a life.”
“I have a life. I’ve always had one.”
“Yeah, as a single dad.”
“You were fifteen when we split up. Not much work to talk about.”
“Okay. Even so, don’t stop bringing her here just because of me.” Vi put her feet on the chair in front of her and leaned her chin on her knees. “She seems… nice.”
He laughed and shook his head. “She is nice.” He finished the hot chocolate and sat down in front of her, sliding her cup over the table. “You’re really not gonna ask?”
“No. I know far too much about your sex life already.” She took a sip from her cup and noticed his raised eyebrows. “The girls at the club talk, and they’re not always aware of their surroundings. I don’t wanna know more than I do, and even if you liked… I can’t really think of anything deviant at the moment, but even if you liked that you’re my dad, and I love you.”
He stared at her, and he really, really hoped she wasn’t so okay with anal because she was having it. For some reason that was too much. He looked at her, just about to ask her, and changed his mind. He didn’t want to know.
“Maybe not animals,” she mumbled.
“What?”
“I’d have a problem if you were doing animals.”
“Jesus, Vi!” He lit another smoke; he needed a smoke. “What’s wrong with your head?”
“Whatever it is, I’m sure I inherited it from you.”
“Probably,” he admitted. “So everything’s okay? No fight, just that you didn’t want to stay at his place alone?”
“No. No fight,” she shrugged. “Brick hasn’t called you?”
“Yeah, he did.” It hadn’t been anything big, and Brick only called to keep him updated. He’d said he’d get one of the others to check it out when he realized Bear had company. “I need to get to bed. Think the shock might’ve almost killed me.”
“Yeah, that was… bad. Think you can at least text me when she’s here to warn me?”
“I think it’ll be some time before I manage to convince her to come here again.”
Vi seemed to study him for a while. “But really, she’s not just a lay, is she? She’s the first woman you’ve brought here. As far as I know.”
“She’s the first.” He thought about it. “And no, she’s not just a lay. It might be something. Or it could’ve been something. Not so sure anymore.”
“I don’t know. She seemed pretty cool about it.”
He got up, leaned over her chair and kissed her cheek. “Don’t worry about it, Katze.”
He went to bed. April had asked if he’d see her again, and he was going to give her a call the next day. If she was prepared to meet Vi again after that first awkward introduction—she was definitely worth a shot.

Mac shook his head at Bear when he opened the door.
“Really, Bear. Subjecting your daughter to such depravity. If she’d been younger, I would’ve called social services on you.”
Vi’d called him the night before, giggling manically, and told him she’d caught her dad and the nurse having sex in the living room. When Mac said he’d notice Bear checking out the nurse’s ass, she’d laughed even harder, and said she really didn’t want to think about the woman’s ass. He’d thought it was hysterical, and Vi seemed pretty okay about it.
“Fuck you,” he muttered and nodded towards her room. “She’s still sleeping. I’ll meet you guys there.”
It had been a long time coming—Vi’s ink. Both Vi and Sami’d been busy lately, and when she was at the shop, she wanted to spend the time working. Mac suspected she was more worried about the pain than she’d let on, but she denied it.
Finally, Bear, Sami, Chris, and him had set it up without her knowing about it. It was his job to get her to Wicked Ink, where the others would be waiting. They’d all agreed that if she seemed too worried about it, they’d drop it immediately. Mostly because Trixie’d threatened to do a piercing called apadravya on all of them if she thought they pressured Vi in any way.
Mac hadn’t known what kind of a piercing it was, but Chris had quickly pointed out that he already had one. When Mac found out it was a rod straight through the dick, he saw Chris in a completely new light. The man was clearly insane.
“By the way, she’s fine,” he added. “She laughed about it.”
“Yeah, I know,” Bear said with a big smile. “Crazy fucking kid.”
An hour later, they were at Wicked Ink getting ready. Vi’d been pretty cool when she realized what was happening. It wasn’t until she was undressed and on her stomach she started to look nervous. He leaned closer to kiss her cheek.
“You’ll be fine.”
“I know! And don’t bother giving me the first tattoo talk. I’ve given it hundreds of times myself.”
“Don’t think it’s hundreds of times, kid,” Sami said in his usual, dry voice.
When Sami tested the machine, Vi grabbed Mac’s hand, and Bear laughed from his place at a chair on the other side of the room.
“Why are you here?” Vi said and glared at Bear. “Shouldn’t you be at your girlfriend’s house making up to her?”
“Why would I? Much more fun watching you squirm. And she’s not my girlfriend.”
“I’m not squirming.”
“Yes you are,” Sami said. “Now—don’t move. I’m gonna start.”
“A small line first?” Vi begged.
“Small line,” he agreed and started.
As soon as the needle left her back she exhaled. “That wasn’t so bad.”
“Bet you a hundred bucks you won’t say that a few hours from now,” Mac whispered in her ear and squeezed her hand.
He looked at the sketch of the tree covering most of her left shoulder blade. The leaves turning into birds flying over her right shoulder were placed perfectly. It looked beautiful, but he knew it would take quite a few hours to get it all done. At least it wasn’t in one of the more sensitive areas.
She did good, though. Got up for a few breaks, chewed a full pack of gum, and somewhere in the middle she actually talked a little. Probably to try to get her mind off the pain.
But by the time the tattoo was done, she swore she’d never have another tattoo. Ever! Then she seemed to think about something and stared at him in horror.
“Am I supposed to ride with you now?”
“No, Katze,” Bear said and stood up. “I took the truck. I’ll take you to Mac’s place.”
“I’ll go ahead,” he said and gave her forehead a kiss. “Bear’ll get you something to eat, and I’ll wait for you at home.”
She looked at him. “Is he gonna wanna talk to me about April?”
“I don’t know, but if he does, I don’t wanna know anything about it.”
“You suck!” she hissed, and then turned to her dad. “I want pizza.”
Mac went home, had something to eat, and about an hour later Vi almost fell through his door. He took her to bed to let her rest.
“Never gonna do a tattoo again?” he asked her while she rested on his arm.
“Can’t believe you people just keep doing them.” She shifted uncomfortably in the bed, probably trying to avoid lying on the ink. “Seems like if you do a second you keep doing them, and maybe I should ju
st quit after the first.”
“It’s like a drug. I miss the feeling and just keep adding to them.” He kissed her forehead. “Speaking of, think my girl wanna do some work on me again?”
“Sure,” she mumbled. “I might do the Old Lady tattoo—if you ask me.”
“I’ll ask you. Don’t worry about it. Just waiting for the right moment.”
“Okay.” She yawned and moved closer. “Dad wanted me to meet April, a more… dressed meeting. A dinner or something.”
That was a little surprising. He hadn’t known Bear and the nurse were that serious, but if Bear wanted a woman to meet his girl, it was serious.
“And?” he asked.
“And what?”
“How do you feel about it?”
“She seems… nice, I guess. I mean, as nice as someone can seem after you’ve heard her scream ‘harder’ while your dad’s commenting on how tight—”
“I don’t wanna know!”
“Yeah…” she nodded looking sick.
“So it was that bad?”
“No. I don’t know. I guess it wasn’t that bad. I closed my eyes immediately, but I felt sorry for April. It must’ve been horrible for her. She was really getting it on, and all of a sudden Dad was yelling at me. She might become a nun.”
“Doubt it. Bet your dad is getting her going again as we speak.”
“Eww! Stop talking!” She opened her eyes and looked at him. “I know Dad roamed on Mom because she didn’t want to do that.”
He wondered how she knew and didn’t know what to say.
“Honey…” he started, but she didn’t wait for him to say anything else.
“Have you had anal sex?”
“Babe…”
The sex experience talk wasn’t a conversation he wanted to have with her. What he’d done or hadn’t done. He was a bit surprised it hadn’t come up earlier; she’d never asked him about it. The next second he understood why.
“Sorry. Stupid question,” she mumbled.
She assumed he’d done pretty much everything, and she wasn’t wrong—he had. He’d had available pussy around him since he was a teenager. Even before he was a member, because being the president’s son was enough for most sweetbutts. He’d never been as causal about it as Mitch had, but he’d still been a horny teenager with strippers offering him their service free of charge. They were up for pretty much anything; at least the things he was up for.
“Hey, girl,” he said and waited for her to look at him. “I don’t miss anything, you know that. Right?”
“Okay. Good, ‘cause I don’t think I’m ready for it.”
“Babe, listen to me. Sex with you is the best fucking sex I’ve ever had. Ever! You’re the sexiest, most beautiful, and amazing girl I’ve ever been with.”
She had tears in her eyes. “Okay,” she whispered. “Thank you.”
He kissed her, and while doing that he grabbed her leg and moved it up to his crotch. Holding it against his hard-on.
“This is what you do to me. All the time.” He felt her smile against his lips. “I don’t want anyone else and more importantly, I don’t need anyone else.”
“Okay…”
He wished she’d just believe him, but at the same time he liked telling her. And it was the truth. He didn’t miss anything, and he still loved showing her things.
He was even more crazy about her asking him for things. She did that more and more often. Demanding stuff while they had sex and taking charge, and he loved her taking charge.
First time she’d panted ‘go down on me’ while pushing him down had been so fucking great, and he’d done it immediately just to make sure she kept saying things like that.
She’d asked him to jerk off in front of her, so she’d know what it looked like. She told him she needed it in her ‘rub scrub.’ It had been seriously hot to have his girl sit naked in front of him with big eyes and a small smile on her lips, staring at his hand working his dick—insanely hot!
He still hadn’t asked her to do the same for him, but his plan was to offer to do it again if she did it at the same time. He was pretty sure she’d agree to it.
“Are you staying the night?”
“Yeah. Think I’ll have to pass on the sex, though.”
“We don’t have to have sex just because you’re staying the night.”
“Oh! I thought it was the standard fee for the pillow, but now when I know better…”
“I might take that back…”
“Too late!” she laughed.
“If you’re not nice, I’m not gonna help you rub lotion on your new ink.”
“Think you’ll shower with me and help me clean it, too?”
He nodded and got out of the bed, holding out his hand to help her up. Like he’d say no to a shower with her.
-o0o—
We were meeting April for a dinner at a restaurant. Dad had told me a million things I had to think about, and he acted like I’d stab April the second I saw her. Just go crazy with the cutlery or something. While we were on our way into the restaurant, where she was already waiting, since we were late, he stopped me again.
“Katze, I like her.”
“Yeah, I’m starting to get that, Dad,” I sighed, but at the same time I thought it was kind of sweet he was so worked up about it. I knew he was serious about her, since she was the first one he’d even mentioned since he divorced mom. I didn’t think the fact I caught them… in the act was the only reason he wanted me to meet her. That seemed more like a reason to not let me meet her again.
“So maybe not mention the last time you two met.”
“Really? Too bad, I was gonna ask her how it felt—”
He took my hand and dragged me towards the restaurant before I could finish the sentence.
“I’ve never spanked you, Katze, but if you ask her that, I might change my mind,” he laughed.
April was standing in the foyer, wearing a really nice dress. It made me feel like a slob, since I was in jeans and a t-shirt. At least I wasn’t wearing cut-offs.
She smiled at me, and Dad gave her a slobbering kiss right then and there. I didn’t know where to look while he did it and ended up staring weirdly at the lamp in the ceiling.
“It’s really nice to meet you,” she said when Dad finally let her go.
“It’s nice to meet you, too,” I said.
We walked inside and sat down. April did her best to small talk, and I felt sorry for her, since I was really shit at small talk, but I tried. I thought was doing okay until the waiter came and gave us our menus.
It wasn’t that I couldn’t read. I could read, but in those situations, when I was stressed, it was really, really hard. And trying to focus on reading, while stressing, and April making small talk next to me… it would suck, and I’d probably end up just pointing at something. I looked at Dad, and he smiled at me before turning to April.
“Mind if I order for all of us?” he said and took the menus from me and April without waiting for an answer.
I swallowed a lump in my throat. He did it for me, because he knew I was panicking. He always knew.
“No,” April said, but she looked upset. I couldn’t blame her; I’d have been furious if anyone did that to me. “That might be interesting,” she said and gave me a smile.
“It’ll probably be steak,” I said and eyed Dad who didn’t seem bothered at all that he managed to royally piss off his… girlfriend—or whatever she was.
“Nothin’ wrong with steak,” Dad muttered.
Once the food arrived, the weird tension was mostly gone. April had asked me about tattoos, which lead to a topic of conversation I was comfortable with and it was nice. It felt quite normal.
After dinner, Dad gave her another one of those slobbering kissed while I took a closer look at my shoes. She gave me a hug, which felt a bit odd, and then Dad and I went to the truck while April went to her car.
“You should probably tell her why you went all caveman on her and ripped the men
u out of her hands,” I mumbled, and I still felt bad about it, since it was sort of my fault. “That way she’ll at least know you’re a great dad.”
“Don’t think she cares.”
“Maybe she wants kids, and now she thinks you’re a douchebag for hitting on her while I got my foot stitched up, then ordered for us at a restaurant. She should at least know it was because you knew I was panicking and couldn’t read the menu.”
“She’s got kids. Two of them.”
“She does?”
“Yeah. Married right out of high school, had her first kid at eighteen, suffered for years, struggling to make ends meet, and—”
I stopped him. “Is this one of your ‘don’t have kids early or you’ll have a miserable life’ stories?”
“Yes,” he admitted with a laugh. “She was twenty when she had the first, and she’s had a good life. Two sons. She divorced five years ago.”
“You should still tell her.”
“I will. And for the record, I’m not having any more kids.” He gave my cheek a kiss. “Want me to drop you off at Mac’s?”
“Yes. Go and be nice to your girlfriend. Buy her flowers or something.”
“I don’t do flowers.”
“Maybe you should.”
“I think you should stay out of my… things with women. In return I’ll stay out of your thing with Mac.”
“Okay. I’ll stay out of your things with women.” I agreed, but I rolled my eyes at him as I climbed into the truck. “I like her, though.”
“Good. You’ll see more of her.”
He dropped me off outside Mac’s place and gave my cheek a kiss. When I walked inside, Mac and Mitch were in the couch watching a movie.
Since Mac and Mitch were so close, I’d gotten closer to Mitch as well. I was starting to see why Lisa’d always said he was fun to be around, because he was. It was especially fun to listen to Mac and Mitch talking.
“How was dinner?” Mac asked as I dropped into the couch next to him.
“Okay.”
“Was this the dinner with the nurse you caught Bear banging?” Mitch asked, and I stared at Mac.
“You told him!”
“I’m sorry, Katze, but that was just the best fucking story ever.” He pointed towards Mitch. “And I tell him everything.”
