“Drew!” she gasps, covering her mouth with her free hand as her head starts to nod up and down frantically. “Yes!” she squeaks out as I lean in to kiss her hard.

“I love you, so fucking much,” I say against her lips.

“I love you, too,” she says, once we break apart. I wipe at the tears sliding down her face before I lean my forehead against hers. “I had no idea you were planning this,” she says a moment later, pulling back to look at her ring.

“Good,” I say, kissing her lips again. “I did my best to keep it under wraps. I wanted it to be a complete surprise.”

“Well, you pulled it off, I absolutely didn’t expect it or know about it,” she says, a smile fully plastered on her face. “It’s gorgeous, I can’t believe we’re getting married!” she squeals excitedly.

“Excuse me, Drew,” the photographer interrupts. “Can I get a few posed pictures for you?” she offers, as we’d already previously arranged.

“Yes, thank you,” I tell her, then turn my attention back to Megan and fill her in on the fact that we’ve been being photographed this entire time. “Everything was captured so we can look back on it, as well as share it with our friends and family once we’re back home.”

“You thought of everything, didn’t you?” she asks in astonishment.

“I tried, but I can’t take full credit for the photographer idea. That was all Lucy,” I confess.

“Lucy knew you were proposing?” she asks.

“I think the only person that didn’t know this was happening, was you,” I tell her, tapping the pad of my finger on the tip of her nose. “Your parents are expecting you to FaceTime with them at some point this evening, and I’ll text mine, so they know you said yes.”

“Wow!” she exclaims. “Wait, my parents even know?” she asks in astonishment.

“Of course, they know, I had to call and get their permission,” I tell her, filling her in on the FaceTime call her parents and I had not that long ago. “And so that you know, your ring has been in my family for three generations. I had it reset, as the previous one was broken beyond repair, but it was the diamond that my great-grandfather used to propose to my great-grandmother, my grandfather went on to use it when he proposed to my grandmother, and the same with my dad and mom. Now, it’s yours until we have a son or daughter of our own to pass it down to.”

“It’s seriously beautiful. I’ll always cherish it, and knowing that so many amazing Montgomery women before me wore it makes it that much more special to me. Thank you for trusting me with it,” she says, holding her hand against her chest, as if she’s trying to get the ring as close to her heart as possible.

“I’m glad you love it. It looks good on your hand, if I do say so myself,” I tell her before we turn our attention back to the photographer. She has us pose for a few images before she finishes up her shoot for us.

“I’ll email the files over in a couple days. Congratulations and thank you for entrusting me to capture such an important event,” she tells us before she heads off, quickly getting lost in the crowd.

“What do you say we go back to the hotel, fiancée?” I ask, knowing I want to do nothing more than strip her from her clothes and bury myself deep inside her luscious body.

“Take me back to the room, fiancé,” she answers me, allowing the title to roll off of her tongue. “It’s so weird to say that word and think that I have a fiancé, and that I am someone’s fiancée,” she muses.

“Has kind of a nice ring to it, don’t you think?” I ask, a little cocky and a whole lot confident.

  “It does,” Megan agree.

“I don’t think I’ll tire of calling you that,” I tell her once we’re in the elevator and on our way up to our room.

  DECEMBER

“ARE YOU READY?” my dad asks as we make eye contact via the mirror in front of me. He’s here to walk me down the aisle, as today I get to marry my best friend. The man who literally tripped into my life and turned it completely around.

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” I tell him honestly.

“You look beautiful, honey. Drew is a very lucky man and we’re honored to call him our son-in-law, after today.”

“Thank you, Daddy. I love him so much; he really does make me happy.”

“That’s all that we can ask for,” he says, as my mother pushes her way into the bridal room in my family’s home church. The place I grew up attending every Sunday that I was able to with my parents.

“Oh, Megan,” my mom gushes. “You look so radiant. Drew is going to lose his mind when he sees you.”

I take one last look at my dress. The one that his grandmother insisted on paying for. The one that cost way more than I could have ever imagined paying for a dress that I’d only wear for one day, but also the one that I fell madly in love with and knew that it was the one the moment I tried it on at the bridal store.

“Thanks,” I tell her, as I feel my cheeks heating in a blush.

“I think they’re ready for us,” Lucy says, poking her head in the door. Besides Drew, Lucy has become one of my best friends, so when we returned from Paris, she was the first person that came to mind that I’d want standing up next to me, and she accepted the position immediately. She ran off with Adam shortly after we returned from that trip, to elope after she found out she was expecting. Now, at six months pregnant, she can’t hide that fact anymore and is the cutest pregnant woman around.

“Let’s get you married then!” my dad exclaims.

Because the controls to my chair are on my right side, Dad stands to my left so that I can still slip my arm through his as we make our way down the short aisle. We wanted things small and private, so mostly the church is filled with family members and a few friends. Drew has Tyler as his best man, and Simon as a groomsman standing up with him today.

The doors open to the sanctuary, and for the first time today, I get to see my soon-to-be husband. He looks so handsome, standing up there in his suit. All tailored to fit him like a glove. He looks up and our eyes connect. I watch as he takes me in, our connection being broken when everyone stands, awaiting my entrance. The music starts and Dad and I start our short trip down the aisle, quickly making our way to the end. Drew steps forward a few feet, meeting us where the two front pews are. My mother steps forward and places a kiss on my cheek as Dad and Drew shake hands. Dad drops Drew’s hand and engulfs me in a hug, kissing my cheek in the process. “Love you, baby girl. Make sure he treats you right,” he whispers into my ear.

“Always,” I whisper back to him, answering him on both fronts. I know he knows that Drew will always take care of me, always love me, always make me his priority. He’s already shown that so much in the year and a half we’ve been together.

“You look gorgeous,” Drew whispers to me once we’ve both taken our places at the front of the church. He’s taken a seat on a chair that was placed up front for him, so that we’re at the same level and able to look into one another’s eyes as we recite our vows to one another.

“You’re looking pretty dapper yourself,” I tell him.

“Dearly beloved…” the preacher starts the ceremony in traditional fashion, and before I even know it, he’s pronouncing us husband and wife and telling Drew he can kiss me.

Drew reaches forward, cupping my face with both of his large hands, and slowly brings his lips to mine. His kiss is tender yet demanding. It leaves me wanting more, yet satisfied for the time being. “I love you, Mrs. Montgomery,” he whispers against my lips before pulling back and standing up.

“I love you, too, Mr. Montgomery,” I tell him as he grabs hold of my hand while we make our way down the aisle. Once out into the foyer, we line up along with the wedding party for the traditional line of guests to greet us.

  Drew

IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG after we’d returned from Paris for her to decide she wanted to come home and get married in her hometown. Thankfully, my family was completely on board
with that, with the knowledge that we’d have a second reception once we return so that all of my grandmother’s and parents’ socialite friends can say they attended the party of the year, apparently. I rolled my eyes at the notion, but if it made my grandmother happy, and my wife was okay with it, then I guess it didn’t hurt to go along with it.

But first, tonight. Today, I married the most wonderful woman. My best friend and soul mate. I have plans for her tonight, for the rest of our lives, but first, it’s my turn to take her for a spin on the dance floor.

I walk to where Megan and her dad moved off to the edge of the dance floor. “Hi,” I greet her, dropping down to my haunches. I lean in and kiss my wife on the lips.

“Hi,” she says on a breath against my lips.

“Can I have this dance?” I ask.

“Of course!” she says as I scoop her up into my arms. Her arm snakes around my neck like it has so many times, and I adjust my grip on her slightly as we walk out to the middle of the dance floor for our first dance as husband and wife. While I don’t mind spinning her around on the floor while she’s in her chair, I much prefer to do so with her in my arms. Unconventional be dammed.

As the opening chords to All of Me by John Legend begin, I lightly brush my lips across Megan’s. She parts her lips so easily for me, and I take advantage and deepen the kiss as we slowly turn around the floor.

We both break the kiss, attempting to keep things as family friendly as we can, with a room full of friends and family all watching us. “I can’t wait to get you alone tonight, how much longer do we have to stay here?” I ask, our foreheads pressed together.

“A few more hours,” Megan answers on a laugh, her head falling back as her laugh falls easily from her lips.

“I say we cut out early.”

“I’m sure you do, but we’re kind of the main event,” she teases me as the song continues on in the background.

“I have so many ideas for what’s going to happen tonight,” I say against her skin, and I trail my nose up the side of her neck as I drop small kisses.

“Mhmmmm,” Megan moans in response. “First, we have to cut the cake and toss the bouquet.”

“Is that all?” I ask, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

“No, that’s not all. That’s the minimum. We still have to mingle and talk to all of our guests.”

“We can talk later,” I protest. “I have a wife I need naked and underneath me.”

“I like the sound of that.”

“I’ll make sure you make lots of noise.”

“What am I going to do with you?” she says, throwing her head back once again, laughing at my antics.

“Whatever you’d like,” I say confidently. “This ring here,” I say, wiggling my left hand so she can feel my finger that she placed my wedding band on just a few hours ago, “gives you full range to do whatever it is you like. I’ll always be yours, just like you’ll forever be mine.” I seal my words with another kiss as the final chords of the song play out over the sound system and the cheers of our guests ring out.

I watch from the edge of the dance floor as my wife—my wife—spins around with her dad as they dance to the song she picked for the father-daughter dance. The look of complete elation and satisfaction on her face made everything about today worth it, a thousand times over. When I proposed this summer in Paris, I didn’t care when or where Megan wanted to get married, as long as she said yes.

Much to my dismay, the reception lasts another few hours. We cut the cake, Megan tosses the bouquet, after I remove her garter and toss it into the crowd. We dance and spend time visiting with our family and friends who made it out to celebrate with us.

“Are you ready to go?” I ask Megan while her head rests on my shoulder as we sit at the head table watching a few couples slow dancing around the floor. The DJ announced a little bit ago that he was on his last few songs before his time was up.

“Yes, I’m so ready and exhausted. Take me home, husband,” she says, kissing my cheek.

“I thought we’d never get out of here,” I bark out. “Let’s go!” I stand and grab our things from the table, then escort Megan over so we can say goodbye to our family, promising to see everyone the next day for a large brunch.

We make it out to our waiting car, the driver already has the ramp down and ready for Megan to get in smoothly. Once we’re both settled, he takes off, already having the information on our hotel for the night. I checked in to our suite this morning after checking out of the room I stayed in last night. Megan insisted that we not see each other after midnight, and I obliged. I dropped off our overnight bags when I checked in, and made arrangements for the concierge to bring up champagne and have it on ice and ready for us when we finally arrived.

“Good evening,” the bellman greets us as he opens the door, letting me out.

“It sure is,” I answer him, a smile plastered on my face. This is one of the best days in my life. The driver gets the ramp out and ready for Megan, and she quickly joins me so we can head inside the hotel and straight to our suite. A few people in the hotel’s lobby and bar area call out cheers of congratulations as we make our way to the elevator dressed in our wedding attire still.

As we ride the elevator up, I lift Megan’s hand in mine to my lips, kissing the back of it. “You tired or can I entice you to stay awake for a little while longer?”

“I’m sure you can work your magic and keep me awake,” she says, looking up at me with lust-filled eyes. I can see the heat and passion in them and know that tonight she’ll be mine, forever.

“Is that a challenge?” I ask as the doors open.

We arrive at the suite and I unlock the door, opening it up and propping it open. I scoop Megan up from her chair and carry her bridal style across the threshold.

“You finally got to use this for the intended purpose,” she says, laughing lightly as my lips find hers.

“I’ll carry you anywhere you want to go like this.”

“I know,” she says, pausing to take in a deep breath. “Think you can take me somewhere and get me out of this dress?”

“You don’t have to ask me twice.”

I walk us into the bedroom and set her on the bed. “I’ll be right back, your chair is still in the hall,” I remind her as I dash out and bring it into the bedroom and park it on her side of the bed for when she’ll need it later.

“Okay, I’m back and all yours,” I tell her as I start to remove my suit. I loosen my tie, tossing it on the chair overtop my jacket.

“Ready for me to unzip you?” I ask Megan as I come to a stop in front of her, boxing her in on the bed as I hover overtop of her.

“Yes,” she says, simple as that. I slide a fingertip along the edge of her dress as it cups her breasts, along her shoulder and around to her back. I follow the edge of the dress until I feel the top of the zipper. I tug it down, ever so slowly it opens, and the dress starts to slip from her body. She pushes further up the bed as I hold on to the dress and it slips from her body, leaving her in front of me in a white lingerie set that has my mouth watering and my dick straining against the zipper of my slacks. I toss her dress over the same chair holding my suit jacket and tie.

“Fuck,” I moan. “You’re so fucking beautiful, and all mine,” I tell her as my lips land on her ankle. I kiss my way up her legs. I flick the clasp of her shoes around her ankles and toss them over my shoulder. My knees on the bed, I sit up and strip my dress shirt and under shirt off, tossing them in the same direction as her shoes went.

“Come here,” she says, beckoning me to her with the crook of her finger. I do as she requests, only I do so as I kiss my way up her torso, stopping to show my appreciation and give some love bites to her breasts, and nipples. I know it drives her mad when I nip at them, and this time is no different, as she moans and wiggles under my touch.

“I’m here,” I tell her once I reach her lips and kiss her deeply. I hook one of her legs over my hip and press my erection agai
nst her core. “Tell me what you want tonight, sweetheart. Slow?” I ask, rotating my hips and mimicking thrusting slowly into her. “Or fast?” I ask, dropping my lips to her neck, sucking hard at her pulse pounding against my tongue.

“Yes,” she moans, and I chuckle against her skin. “All of it,” she manages to add.

“We’ve still got on way too many clothes,” I tell her as I push up. I drop my slacks, tossing them on the chair, then stepping out of my boxers. I help Megan remove the bridal lingerie, going against my instinct to rip it from her so she can keep it if she wants. Once we’re completely naked, I return to my previous position. I slide the head of my cock between her folds, coating it in her wetness. I circle around her clit, testing the waters on how ready she is for me.

I line my cock up with her entrance. “I love you,” I whisper against her lips as I thrust in fully, only stilling once I’m balls deep. “Fuck, you feel good,” I grit out as I start to move, finding us an easy rhythm.

“Yes,” Megan moans as I speed things up. “Do—don’t stop,” she starts to chant as my thumb finds her clit, applying pressure to her bundle of nerves. As soon as I press down hard, I can feel her muscles start to flutter and clench around me.

“I’m coming!” she cries out a moment later, and her body is doing its best job to milk me of my own orgasm. I thrust as hard as I can and bury my cock deep inside her, emptying myself inside her.

“I love you. I love you. I love you,” I chant as my body recovers from the strength of my orgasm.
