“I wasn’t referring to your grandmother, and you damned well know it! I was talking about involving Melinda in the wedding party. You know how reluctant she has been to return here.”

“Don’t growl at me, Cutter. I didn’t want to return here either, but that didn’t stop you from eliciting help from my family and friends to change my mind. And don’t bother telling me that was different, because it’s not.”

After that puzzling statement, his wife got out and headed for the terminal. She might have her mother’s sense of style and salty language, but she was much more of a personality match to her cantankerous grandmother. Cutter rolled his eyes at the thought of living his old age with a carbon copy of Lexie’s grandmother, and caught up with his wife just before she entered the terminal. He had a feeling that she was up to something, but he knew from bitter experience that if she had a secret she would keep it.

Watch for the follow-up “Another Chance at Mr. Right ” coming soon.

Can Melinda Potter overcome her nightmare at the hands of fugitive David Decker, and be able see the man who really loves her? Decker’s hatred of Lexie knows no bounds. Will he leave the relative safety of Mexico to seek vengeance, and who was the dead man found in the burned out ranch house?
