At First Sight (Kitsune's Raven Book One)

by Gina Kincade

  “I do.”

“Then how about a taste?” She swayed her hips, letting him see what it was she wanted him to savor.

Karasu licked his lips and nodded.

She lowered to her knees, her pussy now directly above his face. “It’s all yours, my sexy raven.”

Kitsune grabbed his tie, pulling him toward her mound. His breath was warm against her wet skin. She leaned over him to grab a second cushion so he wouldn’t strain his neck. As she straightened up, he flicked his tongue out to taste her swollen clit, and her world exploded. She gasped, and before she could ready herself for more, he'd firmly grabbed her ass cheeks, holding her in place, and began to lick and tease her. Kitsune whimpered as new, delightful tingles washed over her. She’d never received oral sex before, and the intoxicating sensations were a heady tonic.

She arched her back and unpinned a couple loops of hair, letting it drape across his cock, tossing her head and allowing the tendrils to tickle and tease him. His responding moans sent vibrations through her core and almost had her screaming as she climaxed.

Kitsune was surprised at how quick she had reached orgasm, but she wasn’t done. Not yet.

She stood and tugged on Karasu’s tie, beckoning him to follow.

He rose up behind her, grinding his thick erection against her ass.

Kitsune turned around and sank to her knees in front of him, still holding on to the tie, and thus dragging him down with her. Once she was happy at their positions, she let go of his tie and bent over, pushing her backside against his groin.

“Well, this is a lovely sight.” Karasu smacked her ass then grabbed her hips. With little effort, he slid his cock deep inside her tight sheath and, using her hips as leverage, began thrusting.

She moaned as the angle allowed him to hit different spots than last night. Curious, she adjusted her position until her legs were spread wide, now stretched out so she had to rest on her toes. With her so open, Karasu’s deep thrusts had her seeing stars.

  “Oh God!”

“Thanks, but Karasu is fine,” he panted.

Kitsune huffed out a chuckle, but was soon lost in pleasure again. A crack sounded and her right ass cheek began to sting, sending a pleasant shock through her. It took her a moment to realize he had spanked her again, and the thought excited her even more. She pushed back, meeting his trusts and silently begging for more. He smacked her again, and her pussy muscles clamped down on his cock in response. The position and spanking were all new to her, but she fucking loved it!

A few more smacks across her now tender bottom sent a rush of heat to her swollen slit, and soon had her toes tingling. Kitsune knew she couldn’t hold on much longer, and no sooner had she thought it, than the first wave of her second orgasm rocked her. She almost fell on her face as her arms shook. She cried out and let her head drop forward as more shocks of her climax hit her. She was pulled hard against Karasu’s hips as he uttered a loud, shuddering moan. He stopped thrusting so she rocked her hips, and his groans grew animalistic, urging her on.

He eventually fell away, panting, and pulled her down with him. She ended up in his lap and Karasu wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight. They panted as they recovered from the satisfying intimate exertion.

  “Well, that was something.”

Kitsune punched his thigh. “You’re such a cheeky bastard.”

He burst out laughing. “That I am. But, you know that’s why you love me.”

  Awkward silence dropped between them.

  “I didn’t mean…It’s too early, I know. I was just kidding.”

Kitsune nodded and smiled before kissing him softly. “Maybe we should go to dinner.”

He huffed out a sigh, with a rueful grin. “Sure thing.”

They dressed quickly and Kitsune pinned up the hair she’d let fall.

“Good call on the hair tease, by the way. That was harsh. Wonderful, but harsh.”

“I couldn’t have all the fun.”

Karasu tilted his head as he looked at her. “You’ve never had oral before tonight, have you?”

She blushed, but continued dressing. “No, I hadn’t.”

He drew close to her and she looked at him as he placed his hands on her upper arms. “Then let me tell you, I was having just as much fun as you. I know how good oral can be, so, just like any lover worth having, I enjoy giving just as much as you enjoyed receiving.”

  “Interesting.”

Karasu caressed her cheek. “Oh, my poor vixen. I have so much to teach you.” He gently brushed his lips over hers. Turning away, he helped her down the ladder before taking her hand and leading her to the restaurant.

  ***

  “Dinner was exquisite, thank you.”

  “It was my sincerest pleasure.”

They’d enjoyed a lovely evening, talking over beautiful food and warm sake, and even sharing an intimate, slow dance. It was a perfect first date, though now, as they exited the restaurant, the night air chilled Kitsune.

Karasu took off his jacket and wrapped it around her.

  Now it was perfect.

“I’ll walk you to your hotel room.”

“Thank you. Wait, no, you can’t!”

“Why not?” He raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. “Do you have a boyfriend you haven’t told me about?” Karasu chuckled.

“Worse. My father is waiting to interrogate you about plans to bring down the fox clan.”

  “Huh.”

“I’m sorry,” she rushed. “After you explained everything, I got so caught up in, well, us, that I totally forgot about what I had planned.”

“Plans to kidnap and interrogate me?”

  “I’m sorry,” she squeaked.

Karasu shook his head. “How did you have that plan before we met tonight? When did you find out I am a raven?”

“One of our clan spotted you yesterday before you bumped into me. With the clans being so uneasy lately, they assumed the worst of you. Then when I met with my parents for lunch, they filled me in, and I…jumped to the wrong conclusion.”

They walked on in silence, still heading toward the hotel. When they reached the front door, she stopped.

He paused as well, not looking at her.

“You’re not going up there, are you?”

“I don’t know. I want to give us a go. I’m not walking away from us. So, I should explain myself to your father.”

“But, you’re not sure he’ll believe you.”

  He clicked his tongue. “Bingo.”

Kitsune crossed her arms and frowned as she tried to come up with a solution. She grimaced as one occurred to her.

“Let me go first. The adjoining room is empty, I’ll grab the keycard from the front desk and you can wait in there. If things don’t go well, leave. If he is willing to listen, then come in.”

“Okay, but what will be the signal? Stomping or banging the walls might be a bit obvious.”

Kitsune bit her lip as she thought. “Ah! You can listen. I’ll leave my phone on me, and we’ll be on call.”

Karasu narrowed his eyes and eventually agreed. “Thank you for giving me the chance.”

She smiled at him. “You’re worth it.”

A few minutes later, they shared a deep kiss in front of the door to the room next to hers. He gave her a wavering smile as he entered the room, his cell phone on speaker, their call connected. Then she was alone.

Kitsune took a deep, steadying breath, slipped her phone in her bag, and entered her own room, bracing for what would be waiting. She was relieved to only see her father sitting at the table, dozing. She tip toed to him and gently shook him awake.

“Dad? Wake up. We need to talk.”

He snuffled as he stirred, looking at her with eyes still glazed from sleep. “There’s my girl.” Ken’ichi beamed at her. “How was the date?”

“Uh, it was good. But, I didn’t bring him in.”

“Good girl. Make him earn a place in your bed.”

  Kitsune
blushed. “No, Dad, he’s a raven, remember? We were going to question him.”

Her words must have finally penetrated the sleepy fog still gripping him, because he shook his head and snapped alert in front of her.

“Right. So where is the rat?”

“That’s what we need to talk about. Dad, Karasu isn’t one of the enemy. He left his clan, and is interested in me for me, not because I’m a fox. He has no evil scheme.”

“Really? You expect me to believe the word of a raven?”

“No. I expect you to believe the word of your daughter. He’s not a bad guy.”

Ken’ichi frowned. “He has you fooled, honey.”

“No, Dad. He doesn’t.” She kneeled in front of her father and took his hands in hers. “Remember when I was a kid, how I’d have those dreams of events that happened only days later? How I knew some things before they happened?” She paused until her father nodded. “And do you remember what you said to me?”

She waited, and they repeated the words together.

“Always trust your instincts, kitten. They’ll not lead you astray.”

Kitsune peered into her father’s dark brown eyes. “You told me I was a Seer, destined to be a great clan leader one day, and that you would always listen to my instincts.”

  “I did, didn’t I?”

“Yes, you did. And, now, my instincts are telling me Karasu can be trusted.”

Father and daughter sat in silence for a few minutes, until Ken nodded and stood, pulling Kitsune with him.

“Fine. I trust you. So, where is this young man who has my girl so smitten?”

A knock at the door brought a grin to her face. “Come in, Karasu.”

The door opened and he poked his head in. “Hi.”

Kitsune marched over and dragged him in. “Dad, this is Karasu. Karasu, this is my father, Ken’ichi.”

“Pleased to meet you, Sir.” Karasu extended his hand, and her father shook it.

“Please, call me Ken.” He gestured for everyone to sit at the table. “So, Karasu. What are we going to do with you?”

Kitsune nudged the raven and gave him a gentle smile.

“Well, Ken, I’d like to date your daughter. She is a lovely young woman, and understands the challenges of being a shifter.”

“Uh huh. And, what about your clan?”

Karasu paused and swallowed hard. Kitsune tapped into her fox senses and could hear his rapid heartbeat. He was terrified.

“I removed myself from them. They think I’m working my way around the world to see all there is to see.”

Ken nodded. “And, when they find out where you really are?”

“I-I hadn’t really thought of that. I didn’t intend to end up here, and certainly didn’t mean to meet your daughter. It just…happened.” He glanced at her.

Her heart warmed at the look, and she looped her arm through his, sighing in contentment.

“I see.” Her father leaned back in his chair and paused. “My daughter seems to think you’re a good person. She’s always had good instincts, and so, for her sake, I’m willing to offer you the protection of the clan.” He sat forward and pointed a finger at Karasu’s chest. “But you hurt my girl, and I will rain hell down on you. Do you understand?”

Karasu nodded at such speed, Kitsune feared he’d give himself whiplash. “Y-yes, Sir. Um, Ken.”

She heaved a sigh and gave her father a rueful smile. “Dad, things will be fine.”

“I’m just making sure, sweetheart. We can never be too careful. Now,” he turned back to Karasu, hand extended for another handshake, “welcome to the fox clan.”

  ***

Later that night, after her father had left, Karasu and Kitsune lay in her bed, asleep. He had finally relaxed, and had spoken with her father about the hotel business. Karasu expressed genuine interest in what it took to run a hotel, and Ken’ichi had eventually offered to take him around some of the hotels in the coming week, and let him experience it firsthand. She was relieved it was going so well.

Now, however, as they lay in bed, she was haunted by a dream. Different to the one that had plagued her for years, but it still had a sense of impending doom. This time, instead of snow, the ground was covered in autumn leaves that appeared wet. She looked closer, and realized they were drenched in blood. The colors of the leaves made it harder to spot, whereas it had been contrasted against snow in her other dream. She was still clutching Karasu’s limp body in her arms, though, but his wasn’t the only one. A few feet away, hands outstretched toward each other, were her parents. Further away were the twisted, mutilated bodies of foxes and ravens, all in various stages of shifting. Death surrounded her, and she screamed, the only living soul in a field of corpses. This wasn’t right. This wasn’t right at all. What had changed? Where was the snow? Why were her parents dead? What had gone wrong?

Kitsune woke, crying and panting. She curled her knees up to her chest and rocked back and forward, sobs racking her body, whispering over and over again, “What did I do wrong? Why is everyone dead?”

Karasu stirred beside her and sat up. “Kitsune, what’s wrong?”

She was inconsolable, and didn’t respond, just kept repeating, “What did I do wrong? Why is everyone dead?”

He placed his arm around her, and she allowed him to pull her against his chest. “Hush, my beautiful fox. Everything will be all right.”

“No,” she simply stated. “No, it won’t. Everyone is going to die. And it’s all my fault.”

“That is not possible, my love. It is not going to happen. You know how I know?”

  She shook her head.

“Because fate wouldn’t have brought us together if it only led to so much death. There is more than one path to the future. Even a tiny stone can create change, and there are so many paths to take. You will not cause the death of anyone.”

Kitsune gazed at him, hopeful. “Promise?”

Karasu kissed her on the forehead. “I promise.”

The sense of doom still lingered, but not as strong. As Karasu held her, she began to relax, and told herself it was all just a horrible dream. He was right, while it was a possible future, it wasn’t certain. Things could change. With her mind made up, she lay down in Karasu’s arms and allowed him to caress her back, eventually returning to sleep. This time, deep and dreamless. He was hers, and the future was bright.

  She hoped.

  About The Authors

Phoenix Johnson has always been intrigued by the written word. Even when she was a young girl, she usually had her nose stuck in at least one book, and her need to read would drive her to peruse the back of the same cereal box each morning at breakfast.

Paranormal and fantasy captured her heart, with tales about dragons, magic, and fanciful creatures sweeping her away to a wonderful new world where she felt she truly belonged. While she dabbled in writing while in primary school, it wasn’t until high school that she decided she should try her hand at writing her own book, and even gave poetry a try.

She wandered away from writing for a few years, but was soon encouraged to return and, within months of picking up the proverbial pen, Phoenix’ first story, The Wolf In The Neighborhood, was accepted for publication by Naughty Nights Press. While working on the rest of the Wolf Smitten Trilogy, Phoenix decided to take on a university degree, and is now in the final stretch of her Bachelor of Art’s degree in Professional Writing and Publishing, with plans to continue on to her Master’s degree.

In early 2015, Phoenix was thrilled to discover she’d made two Top 5 lists with three entries in the 2015 Easychair Bookshop Awards. In June, it was announced she had placed first in Best Paranormal with Once Bitten, Twice Shy, the second installment in her Wolf Smitten Trilogy, while The Wolf In The Neighborhood and Wolf Smitten placed third in their respective categories of Best Paranormal and Best Series. With her inclusion in the Alphas on the Prowl Box Set and the Alpha Sifter Seductions (Shifter Paranormal Romance Boxed Set) in 2015, Phoenix hit the top 100 bes
tsellers lists across numerous distributors, number 1 bestseller on several International Amazon lists, and this was quickly followed by the announcement of her achievement of number 1 bestseller for her publisher, Naughty Nights Press, for the full second quarter of 2015. The awards and achievements have only served to strengthen her ambitions, and she is now aiming at reaching the bestseller lists for USA Today and New York Times.

Phoenix has been working hard to make 2015 her year, and has been busy organizing paranormal anthology Twisted Tales with seven other authors. Its release at the end of June was greatly anticipated, and has proven once more her desire to make writing and everything to do with becoming a full time author is the perfect choice for her. She couldn't be happier, even through all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears. She is extremely excited to see where her writing career takes her next.
