I could literally write an entire novel just thanking people. People only see an author’s name on a book, but it truly takes a team of people to make these things happen. First, my family, who give up countless hours with me so that I could create these stories for you. I love you and thanks for putting up with me. I need to thank my editor, Celia Aaron. This book would not be what it is today without her. I often joke that she took a complete piece of crap and polished it into a diamond. I’m actually not joking when I say that. Her talents are unreal and I am truly grateful for all the hours and hard work she put in on this book. I couldn’t have done it without her and she’s as much a part of this book as I am. Her writing is also brilliant and you should definitely check it out. Her book Counsellor is one of my favorite reads of all time.

Next, I would like to thank all of the book bloggers out there. I can sympathize with them because I used to have a book blog and review books, so I know firsthand the amount of time and energy they put in with little to no recognition. They truly enjoy doing it, and it shows, because they give up time with their families simply because they love to read and interact with us authors. I can’t thank all of you enough. Thank you to all of my readers, both the ones that I interact with on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and those who read silently and merely purchase and enjoy the stories I write. I am truly honored every time one of you spends your hard earned money and more importantly your time, reading something that I have written. I try my hardest to thank you all individually and I will continue to do so as long as I am writing books. But sometimes it’s impossible, so hopefully this reaches you.

I would also like to personally thank Cecily Bonney at Cecily's Book Reviews. She is my first fan, the first person I ever interacted with and discussed one of my books with. She still gets the first copy of every single book that I write. I wouldn’t be where I am without her. Next, I’d like to thank Rae Daniel aka Smutttt at Getyoursmuton. She has reviewed and been a beta reader for a few of my books. Even when she is swamped she always makes time for me, gives me feedback, and more importantly is a great friend who I speak with regularly. She is about to release her first novella as a writer and I couldn’t be more proud of her for going after it and I’m honored to help her out with making it happen. Prepare yourself for tons of promotion on my behalf when it comes out. I have to thank Melissa Garland, or “The Queen of Teasers” as I call her, at Booknerdingout. She makes almost all of the teasers and graphics that you see on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. She is also a beta reader and provides invaluable feedback for me. She is extremely talented (an understatement) and her hard work is much appreciated. E.J. Robinson, author of Robinson Crusoe 2244 and Robinson Crusoe 2245. He’s one of my oldest author buddies from when I started out writing sci fi and he’s also one of the most talented authors I know. I don’t know anyone who knows how to get the most of out of a plot the way this guy does. He also has pretty good taste in beer and I can’t wait to get out to Cali and have one with him. Be sure and check out his books, he writes brilliantly.

Mardell Bonasso, another beta reader I am truly grateful for. I gave her this story with only a few days turnaround time and she had it read and notes back to me that evening. I am extremely thankful for her involvement in my stories. Margeaux Hendricks at Tropical Mary literary review blog. She is the ultimate beta reader. She gives me extremely detailed and valuable notes. I could sing her praises all day long and if she ever takes her editing skills to the professional level you can expect me to bombard you with recommendations. Last but not least, Katie Ekvall at Underline This Editing. A freelance editor who has sacrificed her own time to give me a ton of sage advice. She’s also not afraid to tell me when something sucks, which surprisingly is a great commodity when you’re an author. She’s extremely talented and can spot continuity issues like a champion. Be sure to check out the Underline This website if you need editorial services. I cannot recommend her enough.

I can almost guarantee I have left someone out. If I have I am so sorry and I will catch you on the next book release. Thank you all for reading and listening to me sing the praises of these people who helped make my book a reality. I am more grateful than you will ever know for each and every one of you.

  Sloane
