“Isaac’s done, you want him?” she asked cleaning his hands and face.

He set down his coffee cup and put his arms out for him. She turned Isaac to face him and she said, “Look Daddy, Mommy bought me a new shirt.”

Rocco dropped is eyes to the blue shirt and read it. Big Brother

  Brother?

He held him to his chest and swung his head to Madi who hadn’t moved. “Brother?”

She rubbed her belly. “Aren’t you excited?!”

“Baby,” he warned and she pulled a chair and sat across from him.

“I told you I wanted a house full of kids. It’s soon I know-”

“The doctor said it could be risky.”

“But that it didn’t mean I couldn’t go full term with the next baby.”

Rocco had never been so worried in his life when she went into labor early. It was painful for the both of them. It was stressful and he wasn’t sure if they could go through that again.

“We weren’t using protection, Rocco, it was bound to happen.”

She was right. It was an unspoken thing between them. Rocco looked back to Isaac and grinned. “Mommy wants a girl.”

“You bet I do!” she said standing form the chair. “We’re having kids until I pop a girl out.”

  Madi

“Isaac!” I yelled from the kitchen. “It’s time for school.”

My sweet baby, my first born, was in the first grade already. I couldn’t believe how fast the time had flown. Our second baby, Jarvis, named after my grandfather, came running in after him, followed by Ian, our third, who just started walking on his own. I had three boys, four if you included Rocco, and I loved them all. I wouldn’t change a thing, but I wanted a girl. I needed some kind of balance and someone to share my dresses with. I’ve saved them all.

I rubbed my belly and prayed this one was a girl. I wasn’t going to give up, but Rocco’s sperm was determined not to give me a girl.

We needed a bigger house after Jarvis came along, so we had one built on Rudd’s land. We were all close but with enough space to call it our own. We wanted the kids to grow up together and they could run free between our houses or ride their bikes to each other’s houses.

Adalyn had two miscarriages before having her second child. It was a tough time for her and the family, but Rudd was a great husband and supporter. They made it through together and with the help from all of us.

Ian met someone a few years back online and they were just now starting to get serious. We met her a few times during the holidays and last I heard, she was thinking about moving here.

Isaac and Sam were married about a year after he moved to New York. Sam had fertility problems, so Steph was a surrogate for them. They only had one child, a girl named Madi. Steph had dated a few men but was currently single. She was still in love with her job and worked a lot. She said when the time was right, she’d know.

Everyone was happy and healthy. I hadn’t seen Steph, Sam, or Isaac in about two years because of all the pregnancies, but we skyped and sent lots of pictures. Isaac never tried to pay me back, but he never missed a birthday or Christmas when it came to my kids. He was Uncle Isaac and he loved my kids.

Rocco had built a kitchen onto the bar while Adalyn made his menu and taught his employees how to cook her meals. It was a hit and allowed me to continue working part time at the hardware store. My parents take a few months off during the year and during that time, I work more and Rocco works less. We always found a balance and made a great team. The kids were all healthy and smart. I was proud of them. I loved my family and never knew my heart could be so full of love.

Old Man Jacobs started coming around more often after Isaac was born. He loved my kids. He babysat a few times a month and my kids knew him as Grandpa. He wasn’t happy when we moved away from him, but he still comes out a few days a week to take the kids to school. He’s still grumpy with me, a little, not much and he’s told me several times that my kids make him feel young again. He was dropping Isaac off at school today and was babysitting the other two kids so I could run some errands.

And by errands, I mean visiting my husband at work.

Rocco proposed two weeks after I left the ring box open. He wanted me to be surprised and I was. He had everyone gathered at the bar and proposed there, in the middle of the dance floor in front of everyone. He said it was where we had our first date, and he had originally planned to propose there anyway, so it was special to us.

I watched Jacobs leave with my kids and then ran to change my clothes. He had a health inspection later today so he went into work early. I confirmed with him this morning he would be the only person here.

I locked the front door, spun around, and found Bailey walking up my steps.

She’s grown up into a drop dead gorgeous young woman. Rudd was already scaring the boys away. Danny had a few friends and one of the conditions of being his friend was that you weren’t allowed to talk or date his sister. But they had nothing to worry about. Bailey had her priorities straight and school came first.

She was wearing one of Rudd’s baseball hats, which was odd because she doesn’t wear them and somehow she managed to tuck in her hair. Her black silky hair was past her butt and everyone was envious of it. She was wearing one of Steph and Sam’s dresses. They started using multiple materials for their dresses and made them even more unique. The top part of her dress was cotton and solid black, with the bottom being silky and detailed with a floral pattern.

  “Hey, Bailey.”

  “Madi Reese Buckle Benson.”

I laughed. “I dropped the Buckle, sweetheart.”

“I know, but it’s still you.”

I didn’t want to rush her off but I knew I didn’t have that much time with Rocco.

She was my height now, so when she stepped up on the porch we were eye to eye. She pulled her hat off, and shook her head out.

  Her hair.

  Was gone.

“What did you do?” I asked softly reaching out to touch her now shoulder length hair.

“Am I still beautiful?” she choked and I saw her eye start to water up.

“Oh, honey.” I tossed my arms around her. “Of course you are.”

“Mom and Dad said the same thing,” she said trying not to cry.

I pulled back and really took it all in. She wasn’t into makeup yet, which was good because she was a natural beauty. She still had problems with her weight but she ate all the time trying to gain it. Her dark eyebrows and lashes were perfect and so were her heart shaped lips.

“You look older. Confident. You can pull off any look, Bailey.”

  “I donated it.”

  “What?”

“My hair.” She smiled and ran her hands through her new hair. “I donated all of it. They said it was so much and so healthy they might be able to make a full wig out of it.”

I hugged her again. She was just like Adalyn, selfless and always thinking of others before herself. She babysat all the time. She loved the kids.

“Besides,” she said pulling back and smiling ear to ear, “it’ll grow back.”

“It sure will.” I adjusted my purse and checked the time. “Shouldn’t you be headed to school?”

“Mom’s on her way to get me,” she said looking off in the distance. “I would have come over last night, but I needed to get used to it.”

  “Everyone will love it, Bailey.”

  “Thanks, Madi Ree-”

“Will you ever just call me Aunt Madi? Or Auntie?”

She didn’t even think about it. “No.”

“I love you sweetheart, don’t ever change.”

“Never,” she said beaming with energy. This girl was going places.

I waved to Adalyn when I saw her, and Bailey went running to their truck. I glanced at my watch again and hustled to my black minivan. I got to the bar in record time without getting pulled over. I walked in the back door and waited for him in his office. I slid my coat off and adjusted my bra
and panties. I sat on the edge of the desk and crossed my legs. I had just bought a new pair of black shiny heels that I wanted to show him. The outfit was a bonus.

I could hear his boots hitting the floor with each step and I got nervous. I always got nervous around him because of my belly. I’ve had three kids and now pregnant with a fourth. It wasn’t the prettiest thing but he never complained, not once. He always assures me I am the most beautiful person he has ever seen, even after all these years.

“Baby,” he said coming into his office and seeing me. He eyes roamed my body, got heated, and he tossed his clipboard on the table next to him. He started to unbutton his jeans. “What did I do to deserve this visit?”

“Hopefully you gave me a girl.”

“I see,” he grunted, pulling his shirt off and tossing it aside.

I held his eyes as I slowly parted my knees, bringing my heels to his desk. “You like my heels, honey?”

“Of course,” he said stepping out of his boots, then his jeans. He grabbed my ankle and started placing kisses up my leg. “I like the whole outfit.”

I leaned back on my hands, and his hands slid up the inside of my thighs and opened my legs wider. “Christ,” he moaned, pulling my panties down and dropping them onto the floor. “I wish I had more time to properly fuck you, honey.”

“You did that this morning.” A smile crossed my face remembering our early morning romp.

“That I did.” He unclasped my bra, palmed my breasts, and then kissed me quick and hard. “Over the desk.”

I slid off the desk and turned around. This was my favorite position. I lifted a knee to the edge of the desk and bent over, giving myself to him like I always do.

He rubbed the tip of his cock at my opening a few times before pushing in. “This is going to be fast.”

“I like it fast,” I panted.

“And hard.” He pushed halfway in and then grabbed my hair, pulling my head back.

  “I love it hard.”

He pulled out, slammed all the way into me, and stopped. He kissed my neck, sucked on my ear, and then started to pull out just to slam into me again.

“Fuck me, honey,” I panted, wanting more. His grip tightened on my hair and he fucked me hard and fast. He let my hair go and grabbed me by the hips, so I leaned over on the desk until my breasts smashed against the metal. The desk was always cold, making my nipples hard, but I liked it.

“Fuck,” he grunted and continued to fuck me. He was able to go deeper when I was like this and he slipped one hand between my legs so that every time he pumped into me, my clit hit his fingers. He was giving me what I liked to call the double orgasm. He always so good to me, even after all these years. Better even. Every day it got better and better.

I met his movements and worked my clit on his finger.

“Rocco,” I panted, feeling my orgasm building up each time he drove into me. I gripped the edge of the desk and moaned. I knew after a few more pumps I was going to fall apart.

“Madi,” he grunted and started to slow his movements, which meant he was ready to come.

  I always came first.

I gripped the desk harder as my orgasm hit me. “Oh God. Rocco!”

  “That’s it, baby.”

I continued to come as he milked my orgasm from me and he started to come himself. He cussed and moaned as he finished coming inside me. He fell over on my back when he was done, panting. “I love it when you visit me at work.”

  “I love it also.”

He slowly pulled out and helped me stand. He gave me my coat and I swung it around myself and ran to the bathroom. He met me in there fully dressed and brought me my bra and panties. “So, another baby?”

“Duh.” I got dressed and buttoned up my coat. “I think it’s a girl this time.”

He pulled me into his arms and kissed me slow and sweet.

I had another boy before I got my girl. I was in denial, thinking John had made a mistake the three times he did the ultrasound. I refused to believe it until she was born. It was my worst pregnancy and she was born five days late. The moment I saw her, my heart melted. Our family was complete, and I knew immediately what her name would be.

I named her after the two most important women in my life, Becca Carol, using Adalyn’s birth name and my mother’s name.

Life was good in Aster Lake. Our life.

Mom was right after all, I did get my happily ever after.
