Forging Hephaestus (Villains' Code Book 1)

Quite the contrary, really. Like here, the tension simmered beneath the surface. Instead of an all-out war, these tended to have smaller skirmishes, at least until the tension reached its breaking point. Then things got interesting. Nexus was quite pleased that this, one of his favorite dimensions, had happened upon the more interesting course of events. If it had ended in the more common way, there would have been a great spectacle and then lots of boredom. This way, he was going to be treated to a much more fascinating turn of events, one he’d possibly never seen before. It would take time, but things were going to get very interesting again. Soon, the old grudges and locked away secrets would come rising to the surface, and when they did, he’d have an excellent vantage point to watch from.
All he had to do was be patient. And perhaps cause a little mischief of his own when the occasion demanded. After all, the most fun part of all shows was being allowed a little participation from time to time.
But for now, the world was boring, and there were other universes to watch. One of which was especially entertaining. Three of him were already there but more would soon join. That little gem was too special to miss even the smallest bit of, one of those rarest of instances that required careful observation.
In a far-off world, history had been made. For the first time in all of the multiverse, someone had successfully killed a Lodestar.

About the Author
Drew Hayes is an author from Texas who has now found time and gumption to publish a few books. He graduated from Texas Tech with a B.A. in English, because evidently he's not familiar with what the term "employable" means. Drew has been called one of the most profound, prolific, and talented authors of his generation, but a table full of drunks will say almost anything when offered a round of free shots. Drew feels kind of like a D-bag writing about himself in the third person like this. He does appreciate that you're still reading, though.
Drew would like to sit down and have a beer with you. Or a cocktail. He's not here to judge your preferences. Drew is terrible at being serious, and has no real idea what a snippet biography is meant to convey anyway. Drew thinks you are awesome just the way you are. That part, he meant. You can reach Drew with questions or movie offers at NovelistDrew@gmail.com Drew is off to go high-five random people, because who doesn't love a good high-five? No one, that's who.
