“You have shown me enough love and patience to open my heart to you. Brylon, I am sorry too. It was so hard for me to let anyone into my life. I was always so scared that I would be cast aside again. I didn’t want to risk not being wanted by you, and I am so happy that you didn’t give up on me. I mean it when I say that I love you.” She spoke to him from the bottom of her heart. She had lost and suffered so much in her life, but he had given her the chance at a new life. From now on she would be loved and wanted by him for the rest of her life. No one would ever again cast her aside and tell her she wasn’t wanted. She would never again be bounced around from home to home, or treated like someone’s servant. She had finally found her home with Brylon.
“What are you thinking about little one? You’re suddenly very quiet.” Brylon rubbed her bare back as she looked him in the eye and smiled.
“I was thinking about what kind of a life we were going to have together.”
“Oh, I can tell you, it won’t be dull. I’m never going to ever leave you behind for sure. When the mother ship goes out again on a mission, you can bet your ass, you will be on board with me,” he announced to her.
“But what about Hanna, Nana, and Panna? Will they be able to come? I don’t want to have to leave them behind.”
He laughed as her face became serious at the thought of leaving her beloved rewas behind. “Your rewas will come with us too, along with the many children that we will have.”
“Children?” her head tilted to the side.

He watched as she yawned then laid her head down on his chest then answered, “We already have my love. We already have.”

About the Author
Rebecca Lorino Pond is a forty-two year old housewife and student. She is currently seeking a Creating Writing degree at Southeastern Louisiana University and will graduate in May of 2014. She lives in Ponchatoula Louisiana with her husband of twenty one years, her daughter, seven cats and three dogs.
She also has a step-daughter and son. The newest addition to the family is her granddaughter who was born in 2012.
