  “Yes.”

  “Yes, who?” I growl.

  “Yes my king!” she shouts.

For her own good, she keeps her eyes open. She watches me and I watch her. It is even more arousing to see what I am doing to her; how I am controlling her ecstasy with my shaft plugged tightly between her legs.

I let out small gasps through my pursed lips. My member feels hot and even hotter with her flesh holding me in place as I move back and forth inside her. The lust that overwhelms me is like electricity in my blood. All I want to do is rip her dress off and bite her breasts like a vicious animal. I would have done so if we didn’t have a banquet to show up for. Still, that doesn’t stop me from taking her angrily.

Alice arcs her back so that I can have deeper penetration. My erect shaft thuds against her stomach in my bid to get even further inside her. And with her legs, she pulls me in so that I can smell her scent. And like a boy giving it up for the first time, I lose control of all inhibition. The orgasmic wave hits me like a hurricane and I shudder violently. My face contorts I reach to climax. Somehow, I pull out just before release. It gives me great pleasure to spurt my seed all over her fabulous dress and innocent face. All the while, she is watching me, mesmerized.

I lift my body up to her face, letting the last juices spurt on her precious eyes. Like an obedient maiden, she opens her mouth and lets her tongue lick clean any sperm that got close to her mouth. I find that arousing.

“We’re going to have to get you cleaned up all over again,” I complain amiably.

She lets out a cute laugh. I let my weight fall on her, in a crushing hug. We embrace each other on the ill-fitting sofa and once more, we are a happy couple; for now, anyway.

  Chapter Twelve

  Erien

My shaft is still throbbing from the impromptu lovemaking session I had with Alice. It was all we could do not to go for round three, lest someone walked in on us while at it; not that I would have minded. I want all of Solasis to know I love the woman seated at my right hand-side on the high table. I hate it that she is seated opposite Kravis. And I find it a lot more disconcerting than I expected to see Sasha seated opposite me – all this my mother’s sitting arrangements. I meet Sasha’s gaze and I spy her lick her lips. She still wants me. My body is a slave for her beauty, but my mind is doing well to resist temptation. As long as I am not left alone with her, I should be fine.

I sweep my gaze across the long table that is made of polished white amethyst stone. Atop it is a bare table topped only with the finest Soleroid delicacies; a special fish that is eaten raw though it looks like a brown ugly version of calamari, smooth round pearls, and live yellow worm-like creatures that wiggle on the plate. I can see the way Alice is looking at the food. I fear she might throw up all over again. From the looks my mother Elertria is giving her, I do not think that spectacle has been forgiven.

There is a lot of chatter from the crowd. From our raised dais, we the Royals can see the best of what is happening in the hall beneath and beyond. Entertainers make rounds with pleasant music while servants pour the finest drinks while guest nibble on delicacies. Food for a Soleroid is simply a luxury and not a necessity thus the three dishes served with suffice; not for Alice though.

When I see that my mother is settled, I give her a long stare until it’s all she can do to continue ignoring me. She gives me a cool stare while a servant dressed in rich garbs pours her a syrupy drink and throws in a couple of worms to top it. Queen Elertria drinks from it. I can see Alice flinch even as her own drink is poured; however, I have other things on my mind.

“Mind,” I say aloud, “there is a great absence at our table.”

“I see nothing amiss,” Elertria says to me.

I know she is pretending. “Has ill befallen my king father?”

“Foolishness. Foolishness is the only thing that has befallen your father who, mind you, exiled you, and blocked you out of your realm – out of your inheritance. If it is your King you look for, you are looking at her or do you want the herald to sing it for you?” Elertria is testy.

  “I’d rather be spared.”

“Good.” Elertria nibbles thoughtfully on a pearl as she returns to her thoughts.

I turn my attention to Alice for comfort. I catch her exchanging curious glances with my brother Kravis. She sees me look and blushes like a maid that has been caught with her pants down. I scoff in derision. She stares down at her empty plate.

In an effort to get her attention without being too public, I prod Alice with my foot under the table. She lifts her head and stares at me. When I shift my glance from her to the food at the center of the table, she reckons that I want her to it. Her face tells me all, she finds it disgusting. Yet, how will she ever prove that she is noble if she can’t even try delicacies? Besides, she made me eat the placid Earth food. My heart will soar with pride if she does the same for me. I grab what appears like a sodden calamari and place it in front of her.

“Take some. You touch its ends with your fingertips and then slide it into your mouth while sucking. It is great for potency,” I say in a whisper.

“I don’t want to be potent,” she whispers back.

“This is no place to be stubborn, do as I say.”

  “I will not,” she hisses.

By then, the high table has their eye on us. They can see that we are talking but they can’t hear us. I feel myself get hot with anger. Alice is starting to embarrass me in front of my family. A man who cannot control a woman is not fit for any royal position; of course, she can’t know that. I didn’t want her to feel out of place. I start to wish she can act more like Sasha at the table – keep quiet and do as bid.

“Alice. Try the food. It’s insulting to our family if you don’t.”

“What? You want me to barf all over again?” Her hand slaps on the table in defiance.

Everyone sees her stubborn disobedient reaction. My skin turns a tinge darker in fury. I clench my fist. Even Alice recoils at the sharp energy emitting from me. My mother acts like she has not seen anything but I know that she has. Elertria only stays quiet when she is studying someone and as Alice is so easy to read, it will be such an easy sport for her. I stand, ready to excuse myself prematurely before Alice can anger me into folly.

“My dear son,” Elertria says before I can utter my excuse, “tell me, dear and tell me true… from which corner of Earth is our Queen of the West from?”

“There is no need for any pretense here mother, we both know such a title does not exist.”

I hear Alice inhale deeply at that. The Queen only smiles.

“I know that, Erien, but the crowds don’t. The crowds have been satisfied by the notion of a western Queen, now satisfy me. We’re dying to meet your betrothed.”

She is seated adjacent to you, I want to shout. I grit my teeth instead.

“This is Alice Wellwalker. She is of Scottish descent, which shows in the red of her hair and she lived in America.”

“I am not Scottish. I am from the US,” Alice says.

Elertria recoils as if she’s just heard a cow bleat like sheep. Certainly, Alice did not listen to me when I asked her to trust me. She will ruin everything. If only she can keep quiet until after our wedding dance then she will be free to be whomever she likes.

“She knows nothing, pray, excuse me.” I stand to leave.

Alice stands up after me. “What do you mean, I know nothing?” She shouts.

  “Be quiet!”

“I will not be quiet. You can’t tell me what to do. I am a free person and if you are not proud of the person that I am-”

  “I said SHUT UP!”

I twist her arm subconsciously. She whimpers in pain. My mother looks to me with pride. A true Soleroid man is not talked at by his bride. By then, the high-born Soleroids at the nearest have their attention turned on us. If I don’t show my authority, the whole realm will hear about it and lose respect for us. This could put our reign in danger. Alice is being so reckless.
>
“Do not ever touch me like that!” She twists free from me. She should have known that my senses are heightened so there is no way I would have let her slap me. I hold tight the arm that was coming to assault my cheek.

“Are you out of your mind?” I scream at Alice.

It feels as if the entire room has melted away and it is just me and her there, even though all eyes in the hall are now on us. I can’t believe Alice would try to lay a hand on me when I have never done touched her in any way that hurt her.

“Are you?” I scream again at her.

Alice doesn’t respond this time. She is frozen is disbelief, suddenly realizing what a fool she has made of me and herself. She sits back down heavily. Her eyes are apologetic yet my anger is not soothed only with an apologetic demeanor. The Queen’s gaze never leaves us.

“Tell me again, Erien. Where does your noble bride ascent from?” Elertria asks.

“She is a Scottish aristocrat. After being spoiled in an equestrian ranch, she moved off to study abroad… that is where she learned such insubordination,” the lie comes easily on my tongue.

“Her hair is auburn, yes. And her insubordination, yes, is ripe for punishment.” The Queen sits upright. She has given her verdict and now she awaits mine.

I turn to Alice, who is looking sorry for herself. I chew my inner lip. There is no easy way to do this. I lift Alice by the arm. Thankfully, she doesn’t resist. If she did, it could have gotten a lot worse.

“What are you doing?” Alice whispers. For the first time, I realize that she is afraid.

“I will be swift,” I whisper back to her.

And then gently, I beckon her to bend over. With the utmost respect she deserves, I pass a hand between her legs to conceal the bud between her legs and then once she is properly concealed, I lift the dress to expose her bare white bottom for the whole arena to witness.

  “Please,” I hear her beg.

I block out any of her cries. She offended me and she will pay for her insubordination. Gently, I lay a soft slap on her pale ass. It makes a smacking sound even though I do not hit hard. Even the musicians have stopped playing in order to see the punishment being carried out. I slap her one more time, then ten more and more until her white ass is hot red with the marks of hands and her face is red with humiliation.

Only after, do I cover her up again and remove my hand from her. It is visible that the crowd is pleased with the swift justice I have dealt Alice though I am not happy about it. Kravis seems unhappy too, I had turned Alice away from him so he couldn’t see her bare ass again. Sasha’s breast seemed to have perked while watching and my mother has a satisfied smug look on her face.

Alice is wiping tears from her eyes when I force her to sit. She wants to resist but I force her down. I do not want to administer a worse punishment in public.

“Sit. Alice. Sit and eat the food that has been served to you, understand?” I scold her. She nods. It is not enough to show piety. “Tell me that you understand.”

“I understand,” she lets it out forcefully.

Gently, I wipe the tears from her eyes. By then, the guests had had their fill and were back to chattering and enjoying their delicacies. Alice is shaking from head to toe. I hope she is not reconsidering our engagement. I kiss her ear, sucking the lobe.

“I will make it up to you, I promise,” I swear. She can’t bring herself to meet my gaze. I let her be. I tell her. “Sit her until the dinner is over. I will come for you.”

I am walking away when she holds my hand.

  “Don’t leave me,” Alice says.

I smirk. “Where else would I go? I just need some air.”

She still doesn’t let go of me. I need some air for certain, and I do not want anyone to think that I am whipped, so I wrench free of her grasp and make for the door. This day is exactly how I didn’t want it to be. I have to think fast to keep from severing ties between Alice and my family.

After all, I plan to make this one big happy family before the turn of the year.

  Chapter Thirteen

  Alice

Sitting there and listening to the Queen droning on and on about her greatness is giving me a splitting headache. I would have found it bearable if she hadn’t just sat there and watched her son punish me in front of all the highborn Soleroids. I am still reeling from that experience. I wish Erien was there by my side to see me glowering, but all my pouting, frowning, and chewing miserably on a pearl is vain if he is not here to see. I give up on chewing on the pearl and discretely spit it into my hand. I give my full attention to the Queen because I can’t stand to look at the gorgeousness of Sasha opposite me. I can’t help but notice how perfect her breasts her. And to her right, Kravis can’t seem to get his eyes off me. His gaze is giving me Goose Pimples.

“Listen, listen, Alice,” she says, her off-standish demeanor momentarily forgotten whenever she is talking about herself. “When I rose from your home, Earth, or hell as we call it here, everyone knew at once that I am the one fit to rule. My boisterous husband looked like a ghost when I rose, tell her, tell her Sasha.”

Sasha glances at me with her beautiful golden eyes. “Yes, indeed. No man has ever seen the Ki- the former King so shaken!” Even her voice sounds like a beautiful song. Kravis only smiles at their tale.

Elertria continues. “And when they saw I have risen after over a decade since my untimely, unlawful passing. They knew I had come to bring justice.”

Kravis suddenly speaks up. “Mother, you are boring our guest to tears.”

Elertria appears startled by that. I plant a smile on my face to avoid any ridicule.

“It’s okay. I am quite interested.” My voice is so soft that I can barely hear myself. Kravis hears me anyway. He rises.

“I guess it is just me then. Excuse me, Mother, I will find myself more befitting entertainment.”

In truth, I think that the Queen is the vainest being I have ever encountered. I wouldn’t dare say that though. I have a feeling she is just as cruel. Deep inside, I fear Erien may be vain too – he has shown signs of it. At least I know he is not cruel yet after the humiliation in front of the whole realm and then leaving me alone, I cannot cross cruelty out. Kravis, on the other hand, seems uninterested and bored. I watch him trail off and, like a loyal puppy, Sasha curtsies before hurrying after her husband in duty. I almost wish she could stay. What will I do alone with the cold Elertria?

An awkward silence befalls on us, though the awkwardness is only on my side. The Queen is unperturbed. She slides her finger over what looks like a slug and sucks it into her mouth. I bite my tongue to keep myself from retching. I would have if my stomach wasn’t empty already. When the silence lingers too long, I decide to say something clever.

“Your hair is nice,” I blurt out in an effort to start a conversation.

My voice doesn’t sound the way it sounded in my head. It sounds whiney and nauseating, and I bit my tongue by accident when saying it. I can taste the blood creeping up the back of my throat. Subconsciously, I put the chewed up pearl on the table next to my plate. The Queen sees this. She ignores my flattery and gives me a sideways look.

“I see you are not accustomed to our finest foods,” she says.

  “Uhm, I… No. I.” I stammer.

  “Well, we don’t need to—”

“Yes, Erien told me, you get your energy from the sun and food is simply a luxu—”my voice wanes. Elertria is giving me the death glare. I interrupted her without even thinking. I purse my lips before saying, “Forgive me, I got a little excited.”

“I see… Now, what was I saying?” She pauses for a long while but I dare not answer. I did well. She continues. “Oh yes, of course, the food. Your palate is not made for such grandeur I am afraid. Tongue… tongue...”

  I am puzzled. “What, tongue?”

“Show me your tongue,” she commands.

I stick out my tongue for the Queen to inspect. Elertria leans closer to take a better look. She then gets the spoon
at the side of her plate. It is made of fine precious stones of different colors and reflects light when touched. The Queen presses it on my tongue. The spoon is very cold and feels strange in my mouth. I am doing my best to keep my mouth open for as long as possible while she does the inspection. And just when I am too tired to keep my mouth open, she leaves my tongue alone, discarding the precious spoon to the floor. An attending maid quickly picks it up, obviously to go thrash it. I feel insulted.

Elertria gives her verdict on my tongue. “It’s not as polished as I would prefer. Where… where did Erien say you are from again?” she asks.

I inhale deeply. I cannot remember half the lies that Erien said about me. I chew my inner cheek while searching for an answer. The Queen waits patiently.
