Father's Day Baby Bundle

by Frankie Love

I dip my finger in the batter again. This time I offer him my finger. He licks the batter off and it’s fireworks that are brighter than the ones that went off on NYE. We’re talking heart-pounding. And Dune knows it. The moment intensifies as our eyes lock.

“Good to know,” he says. There is more that a twinkle in his eye and it sends my stomach flip-flopping. “And I think I can help you out.”

  “With what?”

“You want a baby?” He smiles. “Well, I got some batter.”

  Chapter Three

  Dune

Her eyes go wide with shock, and I admit to feeling a bit of that myself. The words came out and I couldn’t pull them back. I don’t want to pull them back — hell, all I’ve ever wanted was to be a husband a father, to take care of and protect the ones I love — but I haven’t even told Dolly how I feel about her, and here I am already, offering her my baby batter.

Well, I suppose we are in a bakery.

“You want to have a baby with me?” she asks, slightly stunned.

I nod. “I want you to be happy, Dolly McAdams. And I want to be the man that makes you smile.”

She runs a finger over her lips. “You and me … like ….”

The fact she is considering this is getting me all kinds of hot and bothered. “Look Dolly, I’m gonna be honest with you. I have to clock in soon but I’m not waiting another day to tell you this.”

  “Tell me what?”

“That I came here to Dolly’s Donuts’ today with one goal in mind. Telling you how I really feel.”

  “And how do you feel?”

“Like I’m head over fucking heels for you. That since the day I walked into your shop, the sweet scent of your donuts had me all worked up. I took one bite of your maple glaze and I wanted the whole damn thing. You. Me. Us.” I stand from the stool, and walk around the counter, pulling her up.

I set my hands on her hips, the place they’ve dreamed of resting, and I look into her eyes. The prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen. “I came here today to tell you that your boyfriend wasn’t good enough for you. But that I was. That I wanted you to give me a chance because I was prepared to give you the whole damn world.”

She is shaking in my arms, nervous and flustered and more than a little surprised. “You mean it? You planned on telling me all that?”

I nod. “I have a thing for the girl who makes me donuts. I have a thing for you, Dolly.”

I kiss her then, needing her lips on mine. My hand cups her face, holding her close, wanting her closer still. I breathe her in, powdered sugar and rising dough and nothing but the perfect treat. Her lips part, and I find her tongue, kissing her hard and deep, and tender at the same time. The way a first kiss should be: filled with promise.

When she pulls back she is gasping and my cock is at attention and I know she is everything I ever dreamed of finding. I know getting a job in this town was no coincidence; know her New Year’s Eve confession to Jon wasn’t chance — it was fate.

She licks her lips, taking a shaky breath as her eyes lock on mine. “And that batter you mentioned … you really want to bake something?”

My cock twitches, damn it’s needy, and I love her focus — her determination to get what she craves: a baby. I keep my hand on her waist, holding her close. “I want to put a bun in your oven, if that’s what you mean.”

She inhales sharply, like it’s too much for her all at once. “What if you and I … like, we’d be …”

“Listen, Dolly, I have a good job. Just bought a house. Not planning on leaving this town. We both know I love your donuts and I’ve never been on a diet in my life.”

She twists her lips. “But you sure work out.”

I nod. “I keep in shape, but the job demands it. I’m not intense over getting to the gym, if that has you worried.”

“Why would it worry me?” she asks, crossing her arms, assessing me.

“If you think I might not have time to take care of the rugrats.”

She smiles. “There’s more than one now?”

I nod. “I want a big family, Dolly. At least four or five.”

She laughs. “And you want me, a woman you don’t know, having them with you?”

“I mean, if you’re willing. I know what I want.”

  “And that is?”

  “You.”

She shakes her head, presses a hand on my chest. “You’re crazy, Dune Drake. You hardly even know me.”

“I know enough. I know you’re smart and talented and creative. That you’re funny and sexy and put up with more than you ought to. That your grandma meant the world to you. That you put flowers on the shop counter every day in remembrance of her. I know that you are early to rise and early to bed.” I look around the kitchen. “And I know that you like pink, so I’m guessing you’ll be hoping for a girl.”

She shakes her head, blinking back emotion. “No, I don’t care about having a girl or boy. I just want a healthy baby.”

I nod. “Me too. See? This is a good fit.”

“Dune, I’ve never even seen your house or met your parents or …” She exhales. “This idea is nuts.”

“Listen,” I say, drawing her back to me. “I’ve got to get to work. So, why don’t you think about it today. Decide what you want. I want to start this year with you, but you need to decide that for yourself. But listen, I’ll give you my baby batter, even if you don’t want me, the complete package.”

“Why would you do that? Give me a baby?”

“I want you to be happy.” I step back, knowing I need to leave for work, even though what I really want is her.

“Why does that matter?” she asks softly, as if no man has ever told her that her happiness is the most important thing.

“Because I believe in love at first sight, Dolly McAdams. Which means I believe in you and me.”

  Chapter Four

  Dolly

Dune leaves the shop, and I’m left breathless. I woke up thinking this was the worst day of my life, like I had just lost everything … but it has turned out to be one of the best.

Did that conversation actually just happen? I press my fingers to my lips, remembering his kiss. How he held my waist, how his hard chest was pressed against my own … how perfect I fit against him.

  So, yes. That just happened.

  All of it.

I swallow, trying to get a grip, running a hand through my hair, trying to think this through. He was serious … at least, I think he was serious.

A man wouldn’t say that if he was teasing, and certainly not a man like Dune. A man so confident so strong, so capable — he would never play with my heart. No, he would hold it and never let it go.

It’s crazy, thinking like this. About him and I … About his baby batter ... About how it might feel to have him fill me up.

It’s insane. Nuts. Out of the realm of possibility.

I need to clean up, get to work, do something. Move my hands, clear my head … I stumble around the kitchen, making a fresh batch of cake donuts and mixing up white chocolate frosting. I dig around in the cupboard and find a jar of blue and pink sprinkles. The entire time I am thinking things I shouldn’t be thinking. Things that are insane. Literally insane.

  And yet so, so true.

The truth is, I want more than Dune’s baby batter. I want him to keep looking at me the way he did when he kissed me. I want his words, the ones that made a shiver run up and down my spine. I want his body to hold mine and never let go.

Oh boy, I need to cool down. Talk about getting all hot and bothered. Dune offered me the life I want … all I have to do is say yes. My body hums with excitement. With the possibility.

I open the back door to the shop to get some fresh air as the donuts are baking, just as someone is running down the alley. It’s a man in a black mask, holding a gun. I scream, terrified and so entirely caught off guard.

“Oh my god,” I cry as the man pushes past me, into my kitchen. He is almost as big as Dune, with jagged scar acr
oss his left eye, and his grimy fingers dig into my skin. He slams me against the wall and runs toward the shop. I don’t have any money in the register, if that’s what he’s after.

“Where’s your cash?” he growls at me and I shake my head — I don’t keep anything here. “I said give it to me,” he shouts. I see his eyes, they are red and glassy, bloodshot. He is more than high — he is unhinged and the way he looks at me the way his hand shakes the gun, tells me he isn’t thinking straight at all.

“There, my purse, it’s over on the counter,” I tell him, trying to focus as he digs the gun into my back, leading me to my purse. I’m being held at gunpoint and my life flashes before my eyes.

Why did I waste so much time with Jon?

Why didn’t I tell Dune yes? Absolutely yes, an hour ago, when he offered himself to me?

What if this is it? The end? And I never had a taste of the man who seemed to understand me so entirely?

It can’t end this way. Tears streak my face as I pray for help, begging the man to let me go.

“Give me the money,” he shouts, not releasing his hold on me. “Now, bitch!”

But before my trembling hands can reach it, the back door pushes open and an armed officer enters.

  Dune Drake.

The answer to my prayer; the man I need.

His eyes blaze with anger, yet he’s in absolute control. All the fear that coursed through me fades as I take in my hero. His broad shoulders and rugged ability to defend me, make me feel utterly and absolutely safe. His stature is dominating and I want him to control me … in every possible way.

In his presence, now, I feel like he could take care of me in a way no man has ever taken care of me before. My heart throbs at the thought …and for a moment I forget that a man is trying to rob me — the thought of Dune truly giving my body what it needs has me forgetting all reality.

“Put down the gun,” Dune shouts at the robber as two other officers enter the shop behind him.

The robber’s hand trembles, but as Dune steps closer with his gun raised, he relents. “Fuck,” he shouts. “What the hell…” His words fail him as he realizes the situation he’s gotten himself in.

He lets Dune take the gun from his hand and I gasp for breath as the other officers handcuff the robber. “I’m trying to decide, do I kill you now or do I kill you later.”

Dune’s commanding presence has my heart beating fast, and suddenly the reality of the situation hits me hard.

I was held at gunpoint … and my life flashed before my eyes.

And as the other officers lead the robber out to the alley, Dune yells to them, “Read him his rights, I don’t want him to get off on a technicality.”

Dune pulls me to him. “God, if something had happened to you, I’d have never forgiven myself for leaving you this afternoon.”

He kisses my forehead, and when I look up into his, eyes, I see they are filled with emotion. He means every word he says.

One of officers comes back in the kitchen. “He’s detained in my car. We need to take him to the station. And she needs to come make a statement.”

Dune nods. “Don’t worry, she’s coming with me. I’m not letting her out of my sight.”

A wave of want rushes through me. His words make me believe anything is possible.

The officer leaves and I reach for my purse and winter coat.

Dune takes my hand. “After the station, we’re going home to start the new year right. As it should be. Together.”

“Home? Together?” I ask, not knowing which word sends the biggest wave of pleasure through me.

He nods. “Yes, Dolly. You’re coming home with me.”

I bite back a smile, wanting this more than he could imagine. “Okay,” I say with a grin. “But first I have to get the donuts out of the oven before they burn.”

  Chapter Five

  Dune

When we walk up to my house, my key in the lock of the front door, Dolly hesitates.

  “What is it?” I ask.

“I just ….” She looks at me, biting her bottom lip, then glancing around.

It’s early evening. After writing the report, I took the rest of my shift off, told them I had family business I needed to attend to. It wasn’t a lie. I’m making a baby tonight, and if that isn’t a family emergency, I don’t know what is.

“Is there something wrong with the house?” I look around, there’s snow covering the lawn from the blizzard last week. But I’ve cleared the driveway and the path to the house.

She lifts her eyes. “No, it’s beautiful. A home for a family.”

I nod. “That’s what I thought when I saw it. Four bedrooms, a picket fence, and wait until you see the kitchen.” I smile, wanting to understand her. This woman I’ve claimed as my own.

“No, everything is perfect. I just feel like once I walk into your home, my life will never be the same.”

I look down at her, taking her hands in mine. “We don’t have to rush this, you and me — but damn, Dolly, I want it. I can see it. A life with you.”

“I never had family, except my grandma … after she died, I always thought … always prayed … that I might have a family again. It’s why I want it so bad, so I’m not alone in the world.”

“I swear to you, Dolly, you never need to be alone again.”

Her eyes fill with tears and I press my thumb to her cheek, wiping them away. “Don’t cry,” I tell her.

“They’re happy tears, I promise,” she says, and I know it’s true. I push open my door and lift her into my arms, carrying her into our home. Offering her my forever.

“I’ll make you happy, Dolly. I know I will.”

“I snore,” she says. “And I take really long showers. And I’m really lazy when it comes to washing dishes.”

“You trying to talk me out of the only thing I want in the world?”

She laughs as I set her down on the floor of the foyer. “No, I just want you to walk into this with eyes wide open.”

“Well, I watch football on Sundays, I’m particular when it comes to cooking on the grill, and I cry every time I watch The Notebook.” I raise my hands. “And I won’t apologize for it.”

She shakes her head. “This is it. You and me? We’re happening?”

I step toward her, my hand cupping her perfect round tit, another hand on her curvy ass. “Dolly, we’re happening right now.”

I kiss her, hard and with plans. Plans to devour and defend her for all of my life. I pick her up again, needing her in our bed. Needing to make sure she understands exactly what I plan on giving her.

This baby batter comes in a real big package. And I can’t wait to see my girl’s face light up when she sees what she gets to whisk.

Her body melts against me, and I know she has never been with a real man. A man who can kiss as well as he can fuck. A man who wants more than pussy; a man who wants the full meal deal. A man who wants the ring on her finger and a baby bump to boot.

“Oh, Dune.” She whimpers as I close the bedroom door, letting her look around. The king-sized bed will work just fine, and I know it won’t take long for her to make the masculine room her own.

“You can redecorate, do what you want to the room, the house. All I care about,” I tell her, “is that you’re the woman in my bed.”

She kicks off her shoes and so do I, and we undress quickly because we have plans. Plans to make a baby tonight.

“I’m gonna get you pregnant,” I tell her, as I pull off my shirt and pants. “Tonight.” My cock is thick and hard and so fucking ready for the woman of my dreams.

“I need you,” she tells me, unhooking her bra. Her perfect tits are so fucking full and my cock rages with desire. “I’ve never been with a man like you … a man so big…”

“You like what you see, Dolly?” I ask, stepping closer, placing her hand on my shaft.

“I love it.” She closes her eyes she runs her hand up and down me. “You feel so good, Dune,” she whispers.

>   I run my hand over her bare cunt, this is what I’ve wanted, needed, dreamed about — her warm little slit that was made for me.

“You want me to fill your pussy with my baby batter?” I ask the sexiest donut maker in the whole damn world.

“Please,” she whimpers. “I want you to make me come. Really come. I’ve never …”

“You’ve never had a real man then,” I tell her. “Get ready, Dolly, because I’m ready for your donut hole.”

I take her to bed, ready to make her baby-making dreams come true.

“When you came and rescued me today,” she whispers as I move over her, running my hand over her smooth skin, desperate to memorize the moment I laid claim over the woman I love, “I knew you were the one.”

“I swear, no one will ever hurt you again. I’ll protect you, always. Our baby too.”

I kiss her, running my fingers through her hair. Her body opening to me as I finger her little cunt, so tight and warm, so willing. Her legs open, giving me more room to work, and I know her pussy needs time to get ready for my cock. I’m huge and she’s so little, so tight, so pure.

Whoever was fucking her before had no idea what they were doing.

She strokes me, her fingers tentative, like she wants to be sure she’s doing it right. “Baby,” I tell her. “You’re perfect. Your touch is so fucking good,” I tell her, and she nods, liking it when I tell her what to do.

She needs this, a man to take charge. She may be a smart businesswoman when she’s at her shop, but in the bedroom my little donut maker needs a guiding hand.

I move down on the bed, wanting to taste her jelly filling — her perfect goddamn custard. And I do, I push her knees apart, opening her up, and she moans as I flick my tongue over her creamy center. Her body is mine for the taking, and taking is what I do. I tongue her up and down, until her pussy is dripping, until her tightness is opening against my fingers, telling me she maybe, just maybe, could take me.

“You taste so good, baby,” I tell her as her back arches, as I press a second finger into her cunt, making her grasp as I flick my finger against her g-spot, and it’s then I know I’ve won the fucking lottery.
