Emily's Captive (A Lilly Town Shifter Novel Book 2)

“S… Stacy,” she stuttered. “Your name?” he asked.
She nodded. She was getting too tired to talk. “I’m glad to finally know it,” he said with a smile.
Stacy blacked out again. *** “Go,” Emily said, when they were all standing outside the first compound. It was a dummy one, unfortunately, but it still needed to be taken down.
Everyone rushed forward almost silently. They were all trained killers and trained to be silent. She had Paul on one side and Jason on the other.
Jason took out the door and they all stormed in, killing everyone they came across. Some had guns, others knives, and the rest just used their claws.
They weren’t taking prisoners. Whether they had anything to do with Stacy’s kidnapping or not, they were killers. And it wasn’t like they could be put in a human prison. As far as the humans were concerned, shifters didn’t exist and the Hunters weren’t breaking any laws.
As they came to rooms, they started splitting up. Paul stayed with Emily, though. She didn’t want him out of her sight, no matter what.
They went into a room on their left and found ten Hunters. Emily went into immediate action and shot the first one she saw. The second one was able to knock the gun out of her hands, but she was ready for him. She quickly kicked him with enough force to break his neck.
She loved doing this. She was taking down the bad guys and getting closer to eradicating them all.
She hit the next guy in the face, breaking his nose. Before he got out his grunt of pain, she kicked him in the groin. He fell to his knees and she broke his neck.
Looking over at Paul, she saw him handling himself. He had a knife in his hand, working over the Hunters. She wondered whether or not his being a Hunter helped. Probably not, but he might have been fighting friends. Since they were Hunters, she wondered how close they really were. Emily wasn’t close to any of the soldiers under Bill.
*** Paul looked over at Emily and was amazed at how lethal she was. He knew she was a killer, but seeing the smooth way she moved and killed the men and women so easily astounded him. He watched as she broke the neck of a woman with a well-placed kick to the side of her neck. It seemed to be her favorite method of killing. He was getting turned on.
“Come on,” she said, and ran out of the room.
He snapped out of his thoughts and ran after her. He knew he needed to keep his head. Running down the hall, they checked every room, making sure the Hunters were all dead. They didn’t want to chance any survivors getting word back to Zeke.
“Emily, we got them all. Let’s blow the place,” Jason said, coming down the hall with the rest of their group.
“Got it,” Emily said, and started setting up the C-4. “Let’s get out of here.” Emily hit a button, turning on the timer. Everyone ran for the exit, getting out before the bomb blew.
Paul knew they weren’t worried about the humans seeing. The compound was so far off the beaten path that they’d be gone before the police even knew anything had happened.
When they were about a quarter mile away, Paul heard the explosion. He didn’t expect it to be as big as it was, but he guessed they had to make sure the compound was completely destroyed. They couldn’t let any evidence of its existence be known to the world. If it ever got out, they’d have bigger problems than just the Hunters.
Everyone walked back to the trucks silently. Paul stayed very close to Emily. He knew she wouldn’t like him anywhere else, and he really didn’t want to be anywhere else.
He looked around at their group and saw only minor injuries, some cuts and scrapes, but nothing that wouldn’t heal in an hour. He was happy to see the outcome.
He might have believed in the Hunters before, but not now. Now he didn’t see the point in killing innocent people.
CHAPTER 15
Emily had just blown the third compound they’d hit, but there was still no sign of Stacy. She knew they probably wouldn’t find her so soon, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t getting pissed off about it. She wanted her sister back.
She didn’t know what to do. She was trying to take her aggression out on the Hunters, but that went only so far.
“Jason, I want her back now,” she said as they walked back to their SUVs.
“We’ll get her,” he said.
“We’d better find her soon,” she growled out. “Emily, I want her back just as much as you do,” he said. “I doubt it. You don’t even know her.” “I know that, but the sooner we get her back, the sooner I can get back home and away from your growling,” he retorted.
“Not as badly as I want you to go away,” she said under her breath. She felt someone grab her arm and pull her away from Jason. She growled at the owner of the hand as she turned and saw Paul there. She growled some more. He shouldn’t be touching her.
“Calm down,” he said, letting go.
“No, I will not calm down.” “Jason is here to help, you need to let him do his job.”
“I’m fucking frustrated! We haven’t found anything.” “We will find her. If we knew where she was, she’s be home, but we don’t. We have to keep looking. There is a chance that the next one will be the one. Maybe we’ll find her there.”
“I’m starting to wonder if it was them who took her,” she whispered. “What if we’re looking for her in the wrong place?”
“You said you scented one of the Hunters. You’re always right when it comes to that, so why are you starting to doubt yourself? You have reason to believe it was them, so believe. Just take a deep breath and stay strong. You need to be strong for Stacy,” he said sternly.
She knew she needed to keep faith and stay strong, but that didn’t make it any easier to do. She took a deep breath and nodded, walking away into the woods.
Paul watched as Emily walked away. He knew she’d make it to the hotel and that she could take care of herself, but he was worried about how she was taking everything. She was getting so stressed and she wasn’t the killer he knew. She wasn’t the same person who had locked him up. He wanted his killer back.
“She’ll be okay,” Jason said to him.
“How do you know?” he asked. “Because she’s Emily. She’s stressed and getting discouraged, but she’ll be ready for the next compound when we attack it, and however many after that. She’s tough. She doesn’t show her emotions very often, but even when she does, she’ll be battle-ready when the time comes.”
Paul nodded and walked the rest of the way back to the cars in silence. Emily was standing next to one of the SUVs waiting for them. She was leaning against it, stretching her legs. At least he knew she was okay physically.
Zeke had been watching over Stacy for a few days. She seemed pretty much recovered, but he was still keeping a close eye on her. He didn’t want a repeat, so when he got reports of raids on compounds, he sent Richard to investigate.
He knew why they were happening and he knew Richard was the one who had caused them. He should be the one to take care of them.
“How are you feeling today?” Zeke asked when he saw her open her eyes. Since going into her cell to clean her up, he hadn’t been afraid to go in and sit with her. He now kept a chair in there so he could sit next to her.
“Good,” she said with a small smile. He knew she didn’t like it in there, and he wanted to release her. He didn’t understand why, but he did. The only problem was Richard. He wasn’t afraid of the man. He knew exactly who he was and how badly he wanted to get rid of his boss, but he was cutthroat, and that’s what made him a good second in command.
He’d learned with Paul to not be so trusting and give up some of his control. That would never happen again.
“Do you need anything?” he asked. “Water?”
“Okay, I’ll be right back,” he answered with a smile. He walked out of the cell and grabbed a bottle out of the fridge they kept in the room. It made feeding easier. “Here you go.”
Zeke watched as she drank. He didn’t know what to say to her. It seemed like she knew everything a
bout him, where he knew nothing about her. He didn’t want to scare her into silence again, so he just waited for her to talk.
*** Richard watched Zeke with the girl. He couldn’t allow it to continue, Zeke was becoming too trusting of her. He was just waiting for her to overpower his boss and escape. She wouldn’t get very far, but he would hate to have to kill her.
He’d have to make sure to take her with him on the next trip. There would be another one, he knew that. He knew the raids were for her. The shifters wanted her back, but they wouldn’t succeed. He’d just have to make sure he broke her before they found her.
CHAPTER 16
Emily was getting frustrated and wanted to talk to Paul about the search. She needed to feel like she was doing something, even if it was just reviewing the areas they were going to be attacking next.
She knocked on the door and not so patiently waited for him to open it. When it finally swung open, she couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of the muscles in front of her.
He had an eight pack, with water droplets still clinging to him from the shower. And his arms, wow, she could only imagine seeing them flexing as he worked out. Her mouth watered, wanting to lick that water off of him.
“What’s up?” he asked her. She mentally shook her head to clear it and looked into his eyes. She could see the laughter contained in them.
“I, um, I wanted to, um, go over the next compound,” she said.
“Why don’t you come in?” he said with a smile. “Sorry, I just got out of the shower.” Emily walked in and turned around, looking at Paul’s very muscular back as he closed the door. Every muscle flexed as he moved his arm to push the door closed. She couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of him. He was magnificent.
“So, what did you want to know about it?” he asked her as he turned around.
“I just wanted to go over it again,” she said, staring at his chest. “Okay, we’re going to New York, one of the larger compounds on the East Coast. It is a possibility, but it’s most likely a training facility. Either way, it’s still a good idea to take it down,” he said, staring at her.
She could feel his eyes on her, burning into her skin and warming it. She nodded and moved her hand to his chest, feeling the damp, warm skin.
*** When Emily touched Paul’s chest, he couldn’t hold back any more. The way she looked at him when he opened the door had his cock perking up and taking notice. He tried to keep it together, but the way she kept looking at him made it hard.
“Emily,” he whispered, and pushed her against the wall behind her. He grabbed her hair and tilted her head back, slamming his mouth on hers.
She tensed at first, but then relaxed, gripping Paul’s sides. She arched her body into his and moaned into his mouth.
He was in heaven. He picked her up by her hips and wrapped her legs around him, pulling her close. Paul couldn’t hold back. He ground his cock into her, enjoying the friction and showing her just how much he wanted her.
“Wait, wait,” Emily said. He pulled back, not wanting to, but knowing he had to. He wasn’t going to push himself on her, well, more than he already had. “Okay,” he whispered, putting her down and stepping back to give them both space.
“I just… I just need a minute,” she said, and moved over to sit on the bed. She seemed to think better of it and moved to a chair at the desk.
“Okay, let me put a shirt on,” he said, and went over to his luggage.
“You… you don’t have to. I just…” she said and stopped.
“You just what?” he asked, sitting on the bed across from her. “I’ve never…” He raised his eyebrows. “Never?”
“No, I’ve had sex, but I’ve never fucked anyone I kind of liked. It’s always been one night stands.”
“Oh, really? You’ve never had a relationship?”
“Do I look like the relationship type of girl?” she asked.
“You do have a point there,” Paul said. “Thanks,” she said flatly.
“So, now, why did we stop?” he asked. It was a valid question.
“Because… I have no idea…” she said, before pushing him back on the bed and kissing him. Paul pulled her shirt off, wanting to get her naked and writhing before she had a chance to stop him again. He ran his hands up her back, massaging her. When he reached her bra, he tried unhooking it, but seemed to have trouble. Normally he was a little more suave, but for some reason, he was having problems.
“I’ll get it,” she said with a little laugh and sat up, stretching back to unhook it and pushing her breasts out. Paul ran his hands over her stomach, feeling the flat, smooth skin. He couldn’t seem to get enough of the sleek softness that was her.
Emily came down on him and devoured his lips. He was getting drunk on her kisses. He never knew she could be passionate like that. He always thought her to be cold and impersonal, but he was so glad to be wrong. He had always hoped he would be.
***
Emily loved the taste of Paul. She couldn’t seem to get enough of his spicy taste. Paul moved his hands to her breasts and kneaded them. She couldn’t believe how good it felt. She moaned into his mouth, enjoying the sensations of his hands touching her.
“Paul,” she moaned, wanting skin. She needed more. He seemed to know what she wanted and reached one hand down and unsnapped her jeans. Instead of pushing them down, he pushed his hand inside her panties and touched her.
Moaning wasn’t enough. She screamed. It had been so long and it felt so good. Needing more, Emily pushed him off of her and stood up.
“What?” Paul asked. He looked so heartbroken. She slowly pulled her jeans down, adding a little sway to her hips as she gave him a show. She loved the moan he let out. He must really like how she looked. Good to know. Next, the panties. This time she let them just drop to the floor. She needed him too much to waste those precious seconds.
Paul held out his arms, wanting her to climb back into them. She hesitated, sensing something there. She couldn’t say if it was love, but there was definitely something. She wasn’t sure if she could handle it.
Then she saw the bulge in his pants. That had her almost jumping him. She heard him grunt, but didn’t care when he grabbed her hips and started grinding against her.
*** Paul knew he had to get out of his jeans. He had to feel her wrapped around him. He couldn’t wait. But first he had to taste her. He flipped Emily over and heard the surprised squeal out of her. It turned into a moan as he started kissing down her neck. She moved her head, giving him more room.
Emily seemed to like it. He licked a path from her collar bone to her ear, enjoying the small shiver he got from her.
Moving down, he took one of her nipples into his mouth. He loved that they both pebbled for him at his touch. He leaned back to see it had turned a nice dark red. Emily reached up, pulling him closer to her. It seemed he’d found one of her hot spots. When both nipples matched, he moved down to her stomach, taking a taste of her belly button. She gave a little laugh and squirmed. It seemed she was ticklish. When he kept going, he was kneed in the stomach – seemed she got violent when she was tickled.
“I’m sorry,” she said. He looked up and saw her face turning bright red. Aw, that was so cute. She was embarrassed.
“I think I’ll live,” he said, and went back to devouring her body. He kissed her inner thighs, feeling the muscles contract as she writhed under him. He wanted to tease her some, even though he was hard enough to pound nails.
Her hands were in his hair, apparently directing him. It seemed she wanted him to taste her as much as he wanted to.
Kissing his way to her center, he inhaled her scent. It was soft and warm. Perfect. He couldn’t hold back any more and started licking her folds.
She screamed his name. Apparently she enjoyed it. Paul let out a little laugh and sucked on her clit. He couldn’t get over how good she tasted. He could spend all day just licking her and pleasuring her.
“Paul,” she moaned. It seemed she needed more. He did too. I
f he didn’t get inside her soon, he was going to get a serious case of blue balls.
Crawling up her body, he pushed his pants off, needing to be naked. Paul slammed his lips onto hers and pushed inside her. He just couldn’t take it anymore.
Her muscles clamped down on him, squeezing him as she screamed out her release. He couldn’t move. He didn’t want to come too soon.
He waited out her orgasm, then very slowly started a rhythm. He was determined to make her come again. When she started moaning, he grabbed the headboard and slammed into her repeatedly, working toward both of their releases.
He could feel the tingling in his spine and his balls pulled tight. He had to make her come again. He reached down and rubbed her clit, receiving more moans in return.
Just before he spilled into her, he felt her coming again. He slammed his mouth down on hers again, taking her screams into him as he emptied inside of her.
Making sure he didn’t fall on Emily, he moved to the side as he slid out of her. He was surprised when she moved into his arms and fell asleep.
He wasn’t sure how to feel. Happy? Scared? He didn’t know, but it wasn’t really something he was going to worry about at the moment. He was just going to savor it while he could.
CHAPTER 17
Emily woke up with someone wrapped around her. She had no idea how she’d ended up in that position or who it was she was wrapped around. Normally she wouldn’t mind, but she was naked and that meant, well, sex. She always snuck out of bed before morning when she’d slept with someone.
Slowly, she turned around to see who it was. She was almost afraid of who it could be. So much had happened that well, she wasn’t sure of what she was capable of. She looked up at the person’s face and saw Paul. How the hell had she ended up in bed with Paul? She didn’t even like him.
“Wake up,” she said to him and slapped him in the shoulder. Paul sat up, hitting Emily in the face with his elbow.
“I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” he asked, moving her hands out of the way so he could look at her nose.
