5 Nights (Sinful Delights Romance - Boxed Set) Page 47

"I'm not very picky, just whatever you decide," she kept her eyes on Janie, "let me give you some money."

"I've got this Scarlett," he waved at Janie and walked out not giving Scarlett a chance to argue.

"Alright spill it." Janie sat down on the polished wood floor since they didn't yet have chairs.

Joining her on the floor, she felt her cheeks redden as she went over the entire scene yesterday. "It's just really hard to be in the same room with your boyfriend knowing how much he saw of me yesterday."

"Wow, just wow," Janie said flabbergasted. If someone had told her a few weeks ago that her straight-laced serious friend would have allowed some man to take her in front of room full of people, she would have laughed her ass off.

"I know it was stupid to let it happen Janie, but I only have two more nights with him, and I want to savor them." Was she being a fool for being willing to do whatever he asked just to have the memories? Biting her lip hard, she questioned her own decision.

"Look honey, I've already told you what I think, but this is your choice and you're the one that's going to have to deal with this when it's over. Are you sure you can walk away from him Scarlett?"

"I think if I don't walk away, I'll become a person I don't like very much." She wasn't going to get into how Janie felt about what she was doing. Her friend had spoken her piece but she knew she wouldn't try and change her mind.

"That still isn't answering the question Scarlett, will you be able to leave?" Knowing something was bad for you didn't necessarily mean that you were willing to stop the addiction, she thought.

"I know I will Janie, it's not a matter of if for me," she felt tears filling her eyes at the thought of it.

"I really wish I'd never introduced him to you honey," Janie hated seeing her friend in pain and knew without her they'd never have met.

"Don't Janie, no matter how this is going to end, I'm glad I got to experience this." She meant that, and it made her heart feel a little lighter. Even if she couldn't live this way forever, at least now she knew what it meant to love and enjoy passion.

"Alright you're a grown woman Scarlett, and you know I'm here for you no matter what you do." Leaning over she hugged her best friend tightly. "Just remember that I love you okay, and well damn it, that's it I just love you." She grinned and sat back.

"I love you to Janie, and you know what?"

"What's that honey?" She waited for her answer expectantly.

"Who needs a man when I have the best friend in the entire world?" They both laughed at her comment.

"Unless you plan on becoming my sex slave, I think I might still need one," Janie waggled her eyebrows attempting to make her friend happy.

"Pfft you might become mine," Scarlett stuck out her tongue childishly enjoying being able to laugh about this.

David walked back in the door with a bag full of Chinese boxes and drinks. "Okay ladies where are we setting up this feast?" He looked around the room and saw them sitting on the floor.

"I'll grab a blanket, we'll have an indoor picnic," Janie grinned and ran off to grab one.

He put the bag down on the floor, and helped when she came back with a plaid blanket. They all sat down and he began handing out little white boxes with red lettering and their drinks. They ate in companionable silence for a while before he spoke. "Listen Scarlett, I just want you to know that I don't think any differently about you after yesterday. You are Janie's best friend, and I think you're a great person, so I really hope you can get over any embarrassment around me."

It was hard not to take his comment as genuine when she saw the loving way Janie looked at him. "I'm going to try my best to just forget you were there, and maybe you could do the same?"

"Wait did I see you somewhere yesterday, you'll have to refresh my memory I don't remember?" Grinning he was glad to see her smile back. He planned on spending a lot of time with Janie here and their friendship was important to him.

"Thanks David, sorry I was being such a prude," she felt a little silly for being so worked up over this when he apparently didn't think it was any big deal.

"I've been living this for so long that sometimes I wonder if anything really bothers me anymore," he shoved another mouthful of sweet and sour chicken in his mouth and winked at Scarlett.

"Well good it's settled then," Janie smiled and looked back and forth between them. "I want my two favorite people in the world to be best friends too."

"I'll just think of you as my baby sister Scarlett, since I don't have one," David winked at Janie. That woman was becoming as important to him as the air, he thought knowing he was seriously falling deeper in love.

"So I'll just call you if Rhett gives me any trouble tonight," giving a little smirk she wondered how that would work out.

"Okay little sister, let me just say keep me the hell out of any of that shit," he chuckled.

They all had a good laugh over his answer and the rest of the lunch was much more comfortable for Scarlett. It definitely relieved her mind that he didn't think any less of her. She'd known Janie would love her no matter what, and it was nice to have that knowledge in her thoughts as it got closer to the end.

Janie had suggested that they turn in their keys, sign out of the dorm and then do a little shopping for furniture. She had no desire to remain in the dorms another night and agreed. After David left to go back to the office they spent the rest of the afternoon finishing their tasks and choosing the decor for their new place.

The furniture wouldn't arrive until tomorrow, but neither of them planned on sleeping here tonight. Janie was staying at David's, and she knew she'd be with Rhett all night. The place was really incredible with tons of floor space and three large bedrooms that were bigger than their entire dorm suites back on campus.

"I need to get ready, but I swear it's going to be impossible to find any of my stuff," Scarlett grinned.

"Don't tell me Ms. Neat freak didn't label all her boxes," Janie laughed playfully, thinking it was pretty obvious where her mind hadn't been.

"Some friend you are," she pouted before laughing, "I'll be in my room trying to dig out something. How long before you head out?"

"David's picking me up at ten, he had a client call in that had an emergency."

"Okay well I'm going to get dressed and we can talk for a few minutes before I need to leave." Walking to her room she sighed as she began going through different boxes. She finally managed to find her toiletries and towels and rags. She hoped Rhett wouldn't be too disappointed at what she was wearing, since the only thing that wasn't completely wrinkled was her cotton sports dress.

She took a quick shower and dried off then sighed when she couldn't find her hairdryer. This was going to be a no makeup, look like crap night she thought and there was little she could do about it. Feeling more than a little aggravated, she managed to find a pair of her panties and a nice bra. Sliding on the sports dress, with her hair still wet except for the towel drying she'd given it, she shook her head. She managed to find her comb and that she decided was a plus as she pulled it through her thick hair.

Looking back in the mirror she decided she looked like a teenager and felt almost like one as she walked back out to slide on the only shoes she'd found yet. They were a pair of Converse's and while they worked well with the sporty outfit, she doubted Rhett would enjoy her casual style. It was pretty apparent that he preferred his women polished considering the clothes he picked out for her.

He'd just have to understand they just moved in, she decided unwilling to worry about it anymore. Walking back out in the living room she saw Janie unpacking some dishes. "You need any help before I get out of here?"

"Look at you sexy girl," Janie turned to her and grinned at her friends outfit. She looked like a high school cheerleader instead of grown woman in that outfit.

"Oh yeah this is my seduce him look," giggling she tossed back her wet hair.

"I think you look gorgeous honey, and if he doesn't like the look tell him to
lump it," she winked and then tapped her lip, "on second thought don't he might enjoy punishing you too much."

"Well I think I'm just going to leave you here with all this unpacking, smart ass," walking over she hugged Janie tightly. "See you tomorrow hon."

Janie hugged her back, "Be ready to work your ass off girlfriend, tell the old man to take it easy on you tonight, because I need you."

Letting her go she shook her head, "Yeah I'll be sure to tell him that for you," waving she grabbed her purse off the floor and walked outside and down to her car.

As usual she felt a nervous knot in her stomach as she drove to his house. She had no idea what would happen tonight, and it was exciting and petrifying at the same time.

  chapter nineteen

  Last Straw

Pulling into his driveway, she got out of the car and hated that her hands were trembling when she rang the doorbell. Rubbing her palms down her dress, she took a few deep breaths and tried to mentally prepare for the night ahead. She forced a smile as the butler opened the door and invited her in, trying to remember her manners.

"Master Rhett asks that you wait in his bedroom Ma'am, he has left a note for you on the nightstand." He glanced over at the young woman's attire keeping a serious face. She seemed younger than most of Rhett's play toys, he thought to himself.

"Thank you," she smiled again, feeling a little uncomfortable around the servant so she walked up the long flight of stairs quickly.

Walking into the elegant room, she sat down on the oversized bed and picked up the letter, reading the contents. Disappointment filled her when she read that he was stuck in some negotiations with clients and probably wouldn't be in until early morning.

She couldn't help but wish he'd thought to call her, she would much rather be hanging out at her house than here. He told her to make herself at home, but that was definitely not something she felt comfortable with. Shaking her head, she couldn't help but be a little excited that he'd wrote to fall asleep with nothing on, it was apparent that tonight was going to be one of their tamest nights yet.

She had already put in a full day with the move and decided that while she would have loved to have him here now, it was probably better that she could relax for a while. She took off her dress and folded it neatly, then slipped off her undergarments as well. Her shoes and socks came next, before she slipped under the softness of his duvet.

Picking up the remote from the nightstand, she decided a little television would be nice for a change. It seemed like forever since she'd caught up with anything going on in the world of media. After watching an old black and white movie, she finally felt able to sleep and clicked the television off.

She awoke to the feeling of being unable to breathe and panic set in as she felt a large hand covering her mouth. The room was pitch black and she began to struggle against the body pinning her to the mattress. Half awake, she couldn't even remember where she was. Terror filled every limb of her body as she fought with all the energy she had, to no avail. The hand covering her mouth pressed harder against her mouth as she tried to scream and she fought harder.

Everything was happening so fast her mind was struggling to think logically. A thick band of tape was placed over her mouth as she kicked and swung her hands wildly. Remembering where she had fallen asleep her mind screamed that this had to be one of the men that hung out at his dungeon events.

Where was Rhett, her mind screamed silently since any sound was effectively cut off. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued to fight, but her assailant was obviously much stronger than her as he grabbed her wrists in one hand and his knee pressed into her stomach to keep her immobile.

She felt her hands being wrapped together with the same sticky tape and her adrenaline gave her body the push to keep fighting off the monster. She felt her arms pulled over her head and continued to silently scream as they were attached to the headboard. He was going to rape her, and her legs were the only defense she had and they were only able to flail slightly because of the pressure on her stomach.

She knew she was going to hyperventilate and pass out if she didn't gain some control and fought to breathe through her nose in deeper breaths. This wasn't happening to her, not here in Rhett's home, her mind screamed. As the pressure moved off her stomach she began kicking at the unseen stranger. Feeling his hand around her ankle, she used the other leg to attempt to kick him but only met air. Her right ankle was quickly taped and bound to something at the edge of the bed.

Her chest was heaving as panic overwhelmed her as her other ankle was stretched far across the bed, taped and bound to something as well. She was completely helpless and she bucked her hips trying to turn over, anything to not feel like she wasn't as vulnerable as her position made her.

When she felt long fingers thrusting into her core she thought her heart would explode. Muffled whimpers, begging for the torment to stop went unheeded as the monster continued to thrust inside her dry sheath with brutal force. She felt raw as the brutal fingers continued and all she could do was push her hips further into the bed trying to escape the pain.

Without warning the tormenting digits slowed their cruel rhythm and with agonizing slowness began to slide in and out. She wanted to tear out his eyes for what he was attempting, and she knew with clarity beyond her own experiences that he had changed tactics to try and make her enjoy this evil act he was forcing upon her.

She arched her hips to each side, in her own meager way trying to stop the torment he was inflicting. Tears continued to stream down her face as her body started responding. This humiliation was even worse than him taking her body brutally by force. No, no, no, she cried out behind the tape, hating the wetness that she felt between her thighs.

Pulling the tape from her mouth, he laid his body over hers. "I'm going to fuck you so hard and deep baby."

The sound of his voice did nothing to stop her panic, knowing he had done this to her made her ready to claw his eyes out. "Get off me you son of a bitch," she screamed loudly. What kind of fucking man would do this to someone, she thought as her heart stopped racing in fear, but was no fueled on by anger.

She felt his cock against her and her rage was increased tenfold. "Red you asshole, Red," she screamed, how could he think she would let him fuck her after what he'd done.

He moved off her as if she'd struck him at the use of her word, and knew then that he'd went over the edge of anything she could deal with. "I'm going to untie you sweetheart," he spoke soothingly.

"Do it quickly," she was shaking in anger, fear and astonishment. Finding it hard to breathe, she tried to force herself to slow her breaths. As the tape was removed from her legs, then her wrists, she jumped out of the bed and grabbed her dress.

He could see the panic in her eyes and knew that she was on the verge of a full blown panic attack. "Baby calm down, we need to sit and talk about this." He took a few steps toward her slowly, not wanting to scare her any further.

"Don't you fucking come near me, I swear if you do I will scream this house down." She hoped the servants here didn't ignore everything they heard, because she damn well planned on getting out here.

"I won't touch you baby, just calm down." He hadn't thought she would react this badly and was rethinking this whole fucked up situation. If he could at least get her to calm down, he'd promise to never subject her to this again.

Pulling her dress over her head, she eyes him angrily. Grabbing her shoes, she slid them on without her socks, never once taking her eyes off him. She didn't trust him, anyone who could pull off an act like that was not a person she wanted to be around. Finding her purse she began walking toward the door before turning to glare at him.

"Don't fucking call me, or ever try to get in touch with me again," she began walking again, determined to get the hell away from him. Her heart was broke beyond repair at the moment and she wished that she had the strength to kick his ass in the way he deserved.

"Scarlett baby, be reasonable, you can't drive like
this," he reached out and grabbed her arm gently needing her to think about what she was doing. He couldn't believe how horribly wrong this night had went. The thought of her walking out of his life forever was tearing him up inside.

"Don't you dare call me baby you sick son of a bitch," pulling her arm out of his grasp, she poked him in the chest with her finger. "You fucking need serious mental help, Rhett Hammond."

She took off running as tears streamed down her face. If he tried to stop her, she swore she'd grab the nearest object she could find and crash it over his demented head.

He followed after her, but didn't try to stop her again. He was terrified she was going to hurt herself with the emotional state she was in. She didn't look back and he could only assume she didn't know he was following her. He wanted to beg her to let him drive her home, but knew she was past any thought of rational behavior at the moment. When she got in her car and sped off, he followed her in his car at a safe distance, hoping like hell she made it home safely.

Scarlett knew she shouldn't be driving this way, but she had to get home. The digital clock in the car said it was after three in the morning, at least traffic wouldn't be that bad. She needed to think of anything, anything but how he had betrayed her in the worst possible way tonight. Blinking away the tears, it was hard to focus on the road and how she made it home without running into something was a miracle in her mind. She parked the car and ran inside, never in her life had she felt so betrayed and hurt. Wishing that Janie was here, she let herself into the condo, locked the door behind her and sat down in the floor and cried helplessly.

Rhett pulled out of her parking lot, kicking himself mentally for what he put her through tonight. It had been a decision that had been nagging him all night as he contemplated going through with it. He was so overwhelmed by the strange feelings he had for her that he subconsciously wanted to make her pay for making him feel this way.
