“Okay we need to talk. Come and sit.” They walk over to the large sectional and sit down. He puts his around her and pulls her close. “So what are you two going to do?”
Jennifer opens her mouth to tell her, but Phoenix's hand squeezes her shoulder. “I will do everything in my power for Jennifer and our babies.” She turns her head and looks up at him. He smiles down at her.
“Well, I thought you were going to be a jerk about this. Megan showed me who you were before you got her. I believe you are the third riches man in America. And known to be a womanizer.” Jennifer looks down, she knows he has had other girls, but he hasn’t dated anyone.
“I know who I was, but that was before Jennifer. I would never do anything to hurt her, or our babies.”
“That is what I want to hear, but Jenny you know I am here for you. No matter what.” Jennifer looks at her mom and smiles.
“I know mom.”
“Are you going to marry her?” Jennifer's mouth drops open and Phoenix squeezes her shoulder again.
“Cameo, we haven't known each other that long. I’m not saying it won't happen in time, but not now.” Jennifer knows not to get her hopes up. The last guy that said he wanted to marry her cheated on her.
“Good, I don't believe you two should get married because she is pregnant. Now, her father will demand it.” She stands up and smiles at them. “I do love seeing you this happy. I love you Jennifer, even if I am way too young to be a grandma!” Jennifer stands up to hug the women she calls her mother.
“I love you too mom, and you are too young to be called grandma.” She laughs and wraps her arms around Jennifer.
She moves away from Jennifer. “It was nice to meet you Phoenix and make sure she is taken care of. Or I will be coming after you.” Her mother looks at Phoenix and smiles.
Jennifer turns to look at him, and he is grinning back at her mother. He walks over to her, and wraps is arms around her. “I will take as good as care of her, as she will allow me to.”
“Good, then I leave her in your hands. Good bye Phoenix.” She kisses his cheek and walks out of the apartment.
Jennifer sits back down on the couch and Phoenix sets next to her. “I actually liked her. She was funny. And she loves you so much.” He takes her hand, and she smiles.
“She seems to liked you, but I don't know any women that doesn't.” She says and squeezes his hand.
“I can think of someone, Megan doesn't.” Phoenix says and she smiles.
“Megan is picky, but she'll come around.” She leans her head on his shoulder and he kisses the top of her head. Jennifer stares at the door when she hears knocking.
“That will be the pizza.” Phoenix says, and she lifts her head to look at him. He smiles and stands up. “You said you wanted a pizza with extra cheese and pepperonis.” He walks to the down and she sees a man wearing a black suite. She has seen him before, she thinks he was the drive on that first night. “Thanks Mark, you can have the rest of the night off.”
“Thank you sir.” He hands the pizza box to Phoenix, and nods at her. Phoenix shuts the door, he walks over to her and sets the pizza on the coffee table in front of her.
He opens it and scrunches his face at it. “You really want to eat that?” He says and looks at her. She smiles and reaches for a slice.
She takes the first bite and moans. It is what she wanted and needed. “Oh, it is so good.”
He makes a weird face and sits next to her again. “I've never liked pizza. It reminds me of cardboard with sauce and toppings.”
She eyes him over her pizza. “I have a question. Do you age like me or like vampires?”
Jennifer watches his smile fill his beautiful face, and then he starts laughing. “Vampires aren't real, but there are some demons that feed on human blood. Incubus and succubus aged slower than humans. We age to twenty-five, and stay that way for one hundred fifty years. Then we age one month for every year after that.”
Jennifer finishes her last bite of her first slice of pizza and looks at him. “So our babies will basically live forever.”
He nods, “Basically.”
“How old are you?”
“I am still new, I am technically thirty.” He winks at her, and she feels a little better knowing he isn't two hundred years old.
She grabs another piece of pizza, and he shakes his head. “I want to go on dates, still.” She says and takes a bite.
Phoenix narrows his dark blue eyes. “I don't share well.” She swallows the pizza in her mouth and chokes. She starts coughing and her eyes water.
“No! I meant with you.”
“Okay, I will do it for you.” He looks at his platinum Rolex. “Darling I have video conference with some of my other companies around the world in about an hour. I'll see you in the morning.” He reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a business card. He writes on the back of it and hands it to her. “That is my personal cell phone number. I already have yours program in my phone.” She sets it on the table, and he stands up. They stand up and he grins at her.
“When I found out I was pregnant I didn't think you would take it so good.”
Phoenix takes her face into his large hands. “Darling, I am happy to be going through this with you. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else.” He gives her a sweet passionate kiss that makes her lightheaded. He slowly moves his lips away from hers. “Now eat then get some rest.”
“Good bye Phoenix.” He gives her one last heat stopping smiles and walks away from her. When he walks out, Megan walks out of her room.
“I thought he would never leave.” She smiles and grabs a piece of pizza. “Since he was all lovey dovey does that mean you two are together?”
Jennifer nods, “Why did you tell my mom?” Megan bites her lip and looks down.
“She forced me to tell. She thought you were home from work and then I told her that you now work for the sex god that stole your virginity. Then I let it slip that you were pregnant.” Jennifer knows how her mother can be, and doesn’t doubt she pressures Megan for information.
“Megan, he didn't steal anything. I wanted it just as bad. I have something I need to tell you, and you can't freak out.”
“You can tell me anything, I won't freak out.” Megan sets her pizza down and takes Jennifer's hand.
Jennifer takes a deep breath. “I'm pregnant with twins, and Phoenix is an incubus.”
Phoenix finds Max waiting for him when he gets home. He pulls his car next to Max's, and get's out. Max is already leaning against his car.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” Phoenix asks as he shuts his door.
His longest and only friend winks at him. “I want to know how you are really taking the news. It's know everyday you find out the girl you got pregnant is having twins. And to add sugar on top, I know she isn't one hundred percent human.”
Max knows about his father leaving when he was young, and his mother's deep seeded hatred for him. “I am still shocked. You know I never wanted to be a father, now I am having two babies.” He looks down at his watch and has sometime before the meeting. “Want to come in?” He glances at Max, and he nods.
When they walk in Phoenix give Max a glass of scotch. “What else is on your mind?”
Phoenix takes a drink, and looks out his front window. “If I will drain her.” He looks back to Max, that is their biggest fear. “She wants to be in a relationship, and not see other people. I’m sure she wouldn’t like me fucking other women.”
Max sets his empty glass down, and nods. “I understand, and so will she. She isn’t some dump bimbo you picked up at a bar. She is smart, and very sexy.”
Phoenix sets his glass down before he breaks it by squeezing it too tight. “She is mine.” He says through his teeth.
Max throws his hands in. “Wow, Phoenix she is yours. I am just stating facts.” He nods at Phoenix. “You really care about her. She isn't some girl you fuck and knocked up.”
Phoenix can feel his anger leaving him when he thinks about
her. Her bright green eyes that change to a dark-green when she is coming apart in his arms. “I don't know what I feel, but I don't want you to talk about her. It does something to me, and I want to rip your head off.” He closes his eyes, her smell is all over him.
Phoenix keeps his eyes shut when he feel a hand grab his shoulder. “You have it bad for her, and there is something with her. I feel a little pull, but I think you are feeling more because you have had sex with her. Phoenix I will find out what she is. I’m running test on her blood now.”
Phoenix slowly opens his eyes. “What if she is something I can't be with? Like a fucking angel or something.”
Max let's go of his shoulder and laughs. “I highly doubt she is an angel. They are very rare, and so are Nephilims. I think she may be a lower demon.” Max smiles at Phoenix.
He nods, “Yeah I’m sure your right.” He picks up his glass, and takes a drink. “What am I going to do with two babies?”
Max laughs, “I have no freaking clue! That I can't help you there.”
Phoenix smiles at Max. “One day you will meet someone that you can't get out of your head. And when you close your eyes it's only her face you see.”
“You have it worst than I thought. I hope I am never under some woman’s spell like that. If I do I want you to kill me.” He grins, and walks over to the bar to pour another drink.
“You will go crazy, like I am.” Phoenix says and glances down at his watch. Five minutes until he needs to be in his office.
“I have to do some work now. You can stay if you want.”
Max smiles at him, “No I have plans tonight with a super model.” Max winks at him. “You can come if you want, she is bring friends.”
Yesterday he would have said yes, but he can't do that to Jennifer. “No I have a meeting and I am going to give this relationship a try.”
Max walks to the door laughing. “You got it bad! See you later.”
Phoenix smiles and nods. He has got it for Jennifer.
Chapter Six
“What?!” Megan yells, and takes her hand back. “Did you say he is an incubus? Like the demons that seduce you in your dreams. Is that how he got you pregnant?”
Jennifer shakes her head. “No, I’m ten weeks. I got pregnant the first time I had sex.”
Megan burst out laughing. “Of course you get pregnant the first time you had sex.” She looks at Jennifer. “What does that mean for your babies?”
“I will have an incubus and succubus.”
“You know you sound crazy, don’t you?”
“I feel crazy! Meg, I have known Phoenix for like five minutes, and I am pregnant with his twins.” Jennifer never thought she would be someone that would have babies out-of-wedlock. She always saw herself married for a few years, and then pregnant.
“Well Jen, I think you are a little crazy. But I still love you, and my niece and nephew.” Megan looks down at Jennifer's abdomen. “You know I know people who can take care of Phoenix, if he messes with you.”
Jennifer smiles, she has a good feeling he will be here for her no matter what. “He isn’t that bad, and I think he will stick around.” Megan gives her a funny look. “What?”
“Jenny, you aren't some naive teenager that is pregnant with their high school sweetheart. You are having babies with a man, I mean incubus.”
“Megan, why don't you like him?”
“Jenny you were a virgin for twenty-two years and the sex god comes along and you spread for him. You want to know why Ryan cheated on you? Because he was tired of waiting.”
Jennifer glares at her best friend. “That was low.” She says.
“No it wasn’t, he called tonight asking about you. He wanted to know if you were handling it well, and I told him you were handling it amazingly.” Jennifer can hear her heart pounding.
“What else did you say?” She puts her head in her hands.
“I told him you were pregnant, and he started crying. I think he wanted to get back with you.” Ryan has broken up with her a couple times in the pass and she has always took him back. But this last break-up was for good. She walked in on him and some blonde.
She looks back up at Megan. “I wouldn't have gotten back with him.”
Megan sighs, “I know that. What he did is unforgivable, but I don't agree with you and Phoenix being together.” Jennifer opens her mouth to say something, but Megan shakes her head, holding up a finger. “No, I know you like him. I just don't want to talk about it anymore. I don't trust him, and I don’t think you should. Always remembers what he need to feed, and it can't always be you.” With that Megan leaves Jennifer with her thoughts.
After shoving about four more slices in her mouth she heads into her bedroom. Today has been too long and she wants to sleep. She hopes Megan comes around to give Phoenix a chance. Jennifer can already feel that things are going to be difficult if her best friend/roommate and her boyfriend don’t like each other. She shuts her door, and takes off her work clothes for the second time today. She also removes her bra, and puts on a tan top. Jennifer plugs in her phone and sees she has a text message from a number she doesn't know.
Darling I hope you get some sleep, and I can't wait to see you in the morning. I can't stop thinking about you. Good night.
Jennifer smiles at her phone, and hits reply.
I am very tired for some odd reason. So I think I’m gonna get some much need sleep. I love knowing that I am on your mind, because you are always on mine. Good night my sex god.
She laughs as she presses send, and with seconds she gets another text message.
You should be sleeping. And sex god, huh? Good to know.
She laughs out loud like doesn't know she lies on her bed.

She bites her lip as she presses send. Her phone starts to ring in her hands.
She giggles when she answers the phone. “Are you trying to kill me?” He sounds out of breath.
She giggles and says, “No, not really. I liked of like you.”
Phoenix laughs, “Well then don't send me dirty texts, I am an incubus. I want sex all the time. And I want you more than any other women before.” She smiles. “Darling you need to go to bed.”
“I thought you had a video conference.” She says and yawns.
“I do, I told them I had to call my pregnant girlfriend.”
She smiles to herself. “You did?”
“That is what you are, right?” She can image him grinning.
She laughs, “I hope so.” She yawns again.
“Darling I can hear you yawning. Get some rest please.”
She remembers he brought her home. “Wait, what about my car?”
“It will be there in the morning. Good night darling.”
She smiles, “Good night Phoenix.” She hangs up the phone and then gets up to charge it.
Jennifer lays back down and hopes Megan comes around. They have been best friends for as long as she can remember. She stares at her closed door, and sighs. She knows that Megan is looking out for her, but she need her and Phoenix to get along. Megan is one of the most important people in her life and Phoenix is quickly becoming important. Jennifer can feel her eyes starting to close and she doesn’t fight it.
Jennifer jumps out of bed when she hears a door being slammed. With her heart pounding she glances at the it's 2:21 am. She has had three hours of sleep. She walks towards the door and quietly opens it. Megan's bedroom it right across from hers and her door is open.
Jennifer sees her packing a bag. “Megan?”
Megan lifts her head and Jennifer sees tears in them. “I'm gonna go and stay at a friends house. I don’t wanna be around Phoenix. I can't get pass the feeling that he is evil.”
“Meg, I don’t want you to leave, and Phoenix isn’t evil.” Jennifer believes that full heartedly.
“You got to be kidding me. He is a freaking demon, so that means he is evil! And I am scared that you're carrying demon spawns.” Jennifer glares at her best friend, and places a hand protectively over her stomach.
“I can't believe you just said that. These babies are innocent, no matter who their father is.”
Megan laughs, “I thought you were smarter than this. Your babies will have of his DNA.”
“I'm not one hundred percent human, so what does that make me? A monster?” Jennifer watches as different emotions play across Megan's pretty face, first one and then another, before settling on anger.
“What do you mean?” Megan asks.
“The doctor, Max said he would test my blood to see what I am.” Megan shakes her head.
“Yesterday you were a normal twenty-two year old. Now you are having demon spawns and you're not one hundred percent human! You know you sound crazy, I should commit you! Does your mom know all of this?” Megan glares at Jennifer.
“Stop calling my babies demon spawns! And no she doesn’t know.” Jennifer yells. She wants to throw something at Megan's face.
“They are haft that and haft whatever you are. This is why I need to get away from you.” Megan zips up her bag and walks over to Jennifer.
“I need you.” Jennifer can feel her tears in her eyes.
Megan smiles, “No sweetie, you don’t. You need Phoenix, and I need to get use to all of this.” Jennifer moves out of the door way and Megan walks away without another word.
Jennifer stands there for a minute, and is dumbfounded. Her heart feels like it dropped to her knees, she walks back into her room and grabs her phone. She wonders if it's too later to call Phoenix. She decides against it, she will be seeing him in a few hours. She lays back down and closes her eyes, the thing that keeps playing in her head is, “They are haft that and haft whatever you are. This is why I need to get away from you.” Megan hurt Jennifer's heart tonight, and she hopes she can forgive her.
Jennifer tosses and turns for an hour before getting out of bed. She heads into the living room to watch some TV. She closes her eyes and listens to her and Megan's favorite shows, FRIENDS.
