“Very sexy.” Jax gestured with his finger. “Take them off.”

“Do I get to take yours off next?” Scottie asked.

  “Hell yes.”

Wasting no time, Scottie pushed his underwear off and kicked them over by his pants. Freed, his cock pointed straight out, bobbing between his legs when he crawled onto the bed. He knelt next to Jax and grabbed his waistband, waiting for him to lift up.

Jax’s stomach muscles contracted when he lifted his ass off the bed, highlighting every dip between his abs. Scottie almost forgot what he was doing. He swiftly rid Jax of the last barrier between them; they were finally naked and in bed, ready to take that next step.

First Scottie wanted to trace those abs with his tongue. He maneuvered between Jax’s legs and then ran his hands up Jax’s thighs, stroking the skin where the hair thinned midthigh and then continuing until he could grip those lean hips. Carefully leaning over Jax’s erection, Scottie began a journey to explore Jax’s body, ramping up their already raging need until Jax threaded his fingers through Scottie’s hair and moved him over his weeping cock.

Scottie swiped off the glistening slick on the tip of the spongy head with his tongue, and Jax groaned, his fingers tightening in Scottie’s hair until he winced. Jax let go. “Sorry,” he said in a ragged voice.

“’S okay.” Keeping the touch light, Scottie lifted Jax’s cock at the base. He hovered over the head, breathing hot, moist air on it, moving his mouth up and down without touching anything. He flicked his gaze up, waiting for that moment of ultimate frustration. The second he saw Jax was about to break, Scottie held his gaze and closed his lips around that wide shaft and then sucked hard, pulling all the way to the tip and then rolling his tongue against the sensitive underside.

“Holy hell.” Jax’s hips punched upward and he buried his cock to the back of Scottie’s throat. Scottie gagged, but he’d been expecting it. He pushed on Jax’s hips, shoving his ass back down on the bed, and began sucking in earnest, enjoying the salty bitterness that seeped out when he sucked hard on the head. He cupped Jax’s balls, rolling them gently in his hand.

  Jax cried out. “Stop!”

Instantly Scottie let go and sat up, kneeling between Jax’s legs. “Did I hurt you?”

“Fuck no.” Jax panted, his hands clenched in the sheets. “That felt too good. I don’t want to come yet.” He moved, lifting his legs and sliding to one side of the bed and sitting up. “Come up here.”

Scottie crawled on his knees up the bed, then went to turn onto his back. “No, just like that.” Jax put Scottie’s hands on the headboard, and then he reached under the pillows, pulling out lube and a condom. The condom he left on the pillow where Scottie could see it, but he kept the lube with him as he crawled over Scottie’s leg, hovering behind him.

  “This okay?”

  “Yeah.”

Jax dropped a kiss on the back of Scottie’s neck, making his skin crawl in the best way possible. A rough sound tore from his throat and Scottie arched into the kisses Jax pressed along his spine. Jax rubbed Scottie’s cheeks, massaging and separating them.

“You have the best ass,” Jax said. His breath puffed against the sensitive skin, stirring the hairs there before something soft circled his hole.

Scottie dropped his head and stared between his legs. The lube was on the bed between their knees, and Jax was still holding his cheeks apart, so that wasn’t his finger. It was his tongue! The thought of what Jax was doing… his cock pulsed, weeping precome. “Fuck. Don’t stop.”

“No stopping this time.” Jax buried his face in Scottie’s crack, and this time he felt the rough stubble then smooth tongue and knew exactly what Jax was doing. Jax let go with one hand and reached between his legs, stroking Scottie’s cock and collecting his fluids. He painted them on his hole, pushing against the tight muscle but not quite entering him, then licked it, using broad strokes with the flat of his tongue.

“More.” Scottie wanted that finger back. As good as getting rimmed felt, he wanted Jax’s cock inside him. “Open me up.”

“Roll over.” Jax helped him get onto his back before he reached for the lube and coated his fingers. Scottie didn’t hesitate to open his legs, letting his knees fall back.

“You are so damned hot,” Jax growled. He stared in Scottie’s eyes, then looked down where he was spreading the lube on the outside of Scottie’s hole. Slowly he pushed one finger inside. The feeling of being opened always sent a shiver down Scottie’s spine, but he didn’t feel the pinch of being stretched until Jax had two fingers inside and was pushing in almost to his knuckles.

He took a deep breath and let it out, trying to relax. He wanted this, and he’d need more than two fingers to handle Jax’s wide cock. “Another one.”

Jax twisted his fingers, pulling them out and pouring on more lube. This time when he pushed back in, he had three fingers tight together. Scottie cursed and gripped the back of his thighs. Jax leaned down and drew one of Scottie’s balls into his mouth, sucking it in and then letting it drop. He licked a circle over to the other ball and did the same thing. After that, he had his fingers all the way in, and Scottie was over the worst of the burn.

He rocked his hips toward Jax, leaning up and then pushing down on those fingers in small increments until he was taking them as much as he could. He was ready, but Jax didn’t move to grab the condom, so Scottie did it for him.

  “Now?”

  Scottie nodded.

  “Thank God.”

Jax’s fingers squelched as he pulled them out. He bit the side of the condom wrapper and ripped it open, smoothing it over and down his shaft, then poured even more lube on top. He wiped his fingers on the sheet and then lifted Scottie’s hips, pulling him closer. “Wrap around me.”

Scottie joined his ankles together just above Jax’s ass. He reached up and caught the back of Jax’s neck, pulling him down into a sloppy kiss as the blunt head pushed against his ring of muscles and inside. Jax didn’t stop until his hips were pressed tight to Scottie’s ass, entering in one long, slow glide.

  “Ahh.” Scottie shuddered.

“Don’t move.” Jax leaned over him, his eyes squeezed shut. They were both panting, holding on to the intensity of the moment with the barest of control until Scottie’s muscles relaxed and he could breathe again. “Okay?”

He was so damn full, more than ever before. Scottie shifted, flexing his hips. He rubbed his thumbs on the back of Jax’s neck and then slid his hands down to his shoulders. “I’m good,” he assured Jax.

Jax pulled back and then thrust forward, and this time the tip of his dick caught against Scottie’s prostate, sending a jolt to his balls. He’d always been sensitive to any touch to his gland, but Jax was thick enough that the way his cock rubbed against Scottie’s gland was something else entirely. Needing to move, Scottie started to pull away when Jax slid out of his body and then thrust back together with him, gently at first. He lost all sense of care as Jax pounded him. The room was ripe with sweat and musk, the scent of sex surrounding them.

When Jax reared up on his knees, grabbing Scottie’s hips to help pull him down tight as he thrust inside, Scottie reached down. He wrapped his hand around his cock and stroked, matching the rhythm. Jax grunted with each thrust as their skin smacked together, and Scottie felt nothing but pleasure as his orgasm grew closer. It was rough and needy, passion stripping them of gentleness but feeding him the harsh buzz of something more immediate and gripping.

“Close.” Scottie didn’t want to miss Jax’s orgasm, and he wasn’t disappointed. He watched as Jax’s muscles stood out rigid in his face and neck and a flush moved upward across his bronze skin. Jax lost his rhythm and he thrust in a final time, grinding against Scottie’s ass as his cock pulsed and shot into the condom.

Scottie didn’t want it to be over, but he needed to come. As soon as he captured that moment of pure pleasure, saw the satisfaction softening Jax’s muscles and face into lax contentment, he began stroking his cock
frantically. He squeezed the shaft and then polished the head with his fingertips, catching the slit with his thumbnail, the last sensation pushing him up and over the edge. His thigh muscles shook and his toes curled as he shot white strands of come over his chest and stomach.

He slowed and stopped just before drawing out the sensations became more pain than pleasure. Scottie could barely breathe, he was so wrung out, and Jax was a sweaty mess above him. He had no idea how Jax did it when he leaned down and kissed him briefly without collapsing on top of him.

Jax groaned and Scottie hissed when he pulled out. Jax disposed of the condom in a bin by the nightstand and then flopped onto his back next to Scottie, his chest still heaving. Scottie knew he was going to be sore the next day, but it was so worth it.

“I’ll get up in a minute to get a washcloth,” Jax promised.

“Uh-huh.” Scottie didn’t care. He was a mess, but a shower could happen later. He reached out and threaded his fingers through Jax’s. “You’re amazing,” he said.

Jax turned his head to look into Scottie’s eyes. “With you. It’s never been that intense for me before.”

  “Me either.”

They were quiet for a few minutes, just catching their breath and easing shaking muscles. Scottie’s legs felt like limp noodles. He thought back over the months since they’d met and knew he’d never been as wrapped up in someone as he was in Jax. The connection between them was more right than anything he’d felt with anyone else, ever. He opened his mouth and then shut it. No way was that kind of heavy thinking a good idea right after they had sex, even awesome sex.

Jax pulled away at that moment, sliding off the bed so he could stumble into the bathroom like he’d been the one getting his ass reamed. The water ran on and off, then turned on again. Jax walked back out carrying a steaming washcloth and a towel.

He offered the washrag, and Scottie took the cloth and wiped up all the come and lube slicking up his belly, chest, and ass. He dried and then balled the washcloth up in the towel. Jax chucked it toward the hamper before he collapsed back in the bed.

“I am so tired. You wore me out,” he said. He rolled onto his side.

“Maybe that was because neither of us has had sex for so long. Plus you were the one with the knee injury. Total cockblock.”

Jax scoffed. “I got hurt saving you, remember?” He shoved Scottie on the shoulder.

Scottie rolled onto his side facing away from him. “Well, there is that.”

“And you were the one who put the rules in place about no slap and tickle until my knee was better.”

Slap and tickle. Scottie rolled his eyes, even though Jax couldn’t see him. “Which you promptly plotted to break.”

“For your own good. If that was three months of buildup, imagine if we’d had no orgasms at all. We’d be so wrung out we’d be stuck in bed for a week recovering.”

“Well we can’t have that. I guess we’ll just have to make sure we keep having sex regularly now so that doesn’t happen.”

“Just what I was thinking.” Jax wrapped an arm around Scottie’s stomach and pulled him closer. “Not tonight, though.”

Scottie went with it, snuggling in before he let out a long, slow breath and closed his eyes. “Tomorrow is a brand new day,” he said.

  Epilogue

“ARE YOU insane?” Jax and Scottie were walking on the firm sand near the ocean where it was easier for Jax, reducing the strain on his weak knee. There were occasional patches of blue sky in the leaden clouds overhead, but the ocean was a slate gray. The water rolled and broke across the beach in pounding waves. “It’s freezing. I’m not taking my shoes off.”

“But we’re on a beach,” Scottie said. He unwrapped a piece of saltwater taffy and put it in his mouth, tucking the garbage in his pocket. He grabbed Jax’s hand even though it was freezing with the wind whipping along the beach. “And there’s no shells anyway.”

“Not the right tide for it. It’s too bad we couldn’t go clamming, but that chowder we had for lunch at the restaurant was good. Maybe we can come back next spring.” They’d missed out on clamming and the kite festival, but Jax had fun bumming around Long Beach with Scottie. They’d been to Marsh’s already, which was packed full of shells to buy, but Scottie had wanted to see if they could find any shells on the beach themselves.

It was a great day. Scottie had taken a ton of pictures with the camera hanging around his neck, catching waves and some seagulls swooping just above them. They’d posed at the World’s Largest Frying Pan and the carved octopus, picked up saltwater taffy and T-shirts, deciding to start a new tradition of buying new ones on each trip.

Jax was racking his brain, trying to figure out how to tell Scottie that he wanted to keep going on trips with him until his dresser and closet were full with both of their trip T-shirts.

“Hey, look at that piece of driftwood.” Scottie pointed out a thick stick that was partially sticking out of the sand. It was smooth, streaks of harder wood and tiny knots standing out against the water-polished areas free of bark. “That’s cooler than a shell.”

He pulled it out and brandished the length, flinging little clumps of sand everywhere. Jax dodged. “Hey!”

“Oh, you’re fine. It’s just a little sand. You know, this would fit in my car.”

“So bring it with us. The sand will fall off the tip when it dries.” Jax brushed off the sand sticking to his coat, but then it just stuck to his hands.

“It’s great for this too.” Jax looked up. “Did you ever write in the sand when you were a kid?” Scottie asked.

“Yeah. Nothing like that, though.” In the wet sand, Scottie had drawn their initials and 4-ever. It was silly and sappy, and a total teenage-girl move. Scottie peeked sideways at him, his cheeks a little pinker than the salt-laden wind could account for.

“No?” Scottie challenged him with his eyes, the twinkle of mischief daring Jax to tease him. “What’s wrong with it?”

  “Let me see the stick.”

Jax started between the two letters of his initials and drew a wide curving line out and down, then matched the other side, ending up encasing it all in a heart. He swallowed hard before he looked up, hoping Scottie would understand what he wasn’t quite ready to say but knew in his soul was growing between them. It had begun with a tiny flame back in that forest and one day Jax knew it’d engulf them both. It had already started.

Scottie stared at him. His smile grew slowly until he was beaming. “Perfect.”
