“Finally, a bit of good news,” she replies, looking up and giving me a sad smile. “I don’t think I’m going to be very productive today. Kip stopped by.”

“I know.” I smile, digging deeper into her tight shoulder blades. “I overheard most of the conversation. I was very proud of how you handled him.”

“Did you hear the part where I told him to grab hold of a real cock?” She looks up again, her lips curling upward for the first time.

“I almost lost it.” I lean down, giving her a kiss. “You definitely hit him where it hurts, but he deserved it. That whole bit about Becca would’ve been tough to hear too.”

“I shouldn’t have told him, but those two hurt me so badly and it’s the truth,” she says with a look of repentance. “I still shouldn’t have said it though. I shouldn’t have sunk to her level.”

“Well, on the upside, I don’t think he’ll be dropping by again.” A smile breaks across my face. “I’m sorry, but if anyone deserved to be put in his place, it’s Kip Taylor. I’m sure he’s already been showing that video to all of his buddies.”

“Yeah, I decided I never really liked any of his so-called friends anyway, so I don’t really care what they think.” She slumps a bit in the chair. “I have to return the Beamer, so I’ll have to find something else to drive. It’s going to be hard to replace an M6 Convertible with my Chevy Spark budget.” She actually laughs at her predicament. “Who cares? It’s only a car. Maybe I’ll just ride with you.”

“Actually, I know a guy who can get you a hell of a deal on a Chevy Spark,” I inform her, turning her chair toward the door. “Let’s go see what he’s got. We’re not going to get any work done today anyway.”

She rolls her eyes and gets out of her chair. “I was joking about the Chevy Spark thing. Maybe I can find something cool with a hundred thousand miles or something.”

“Just trust me. You’re going to love the Spark,” I reply, taking her by the hand and leading her down the hall.

“Who was that big strapping guy who was looking for you this morning?” Sally asks Felicia when we meet her in the entryway.

“That was Kip Taylor, my ex-boyfriend. He plays for the Seahawks,” she says with a look of disdain.

“Ooh, that’s him.” She immediately looks as if she stepped in a pile of dog shit. “I’m sorry. He wasn’t nearly as good-looking as you, Rex.” She gives me a wink and looks toward the exit.

“Actually, would you give Sally his number?” I turn to Felicia, motioning for her to retrieve her phone from her purse.

“His cell is 408-555-3727. I haven’t forgotten it yet,” she says with a sigh. “Why?” Felicia and Sally share a puzzled look.

“I want you to give him a call and see if you can get a licensing agreement with him,” I tell Sally, trying my best to keep a serious expression. “I think there’s a legitimately underserved market out there. Women who have abnormally small vaginas,” I explain, unable to keep my composure any longer. “I’m serious, give him a call. Tell him we’ve uncovered a market for a five-inch dildo with a one-inch girth.”

“I think I’ll let you have that conversation with him!” Sally narrows her eyes and slaps me on the shoulder. “You’re terrible. No wonder he doesn’t like you.”

“Hey, he started it years ago,” I counter, taking Felicia’s hand and leading her out to the elevator.

“Thanks. That was really funny,” she says, punching the elevator button. “I like that you’re not so serious about everything. I’ve never been around someone who can make me feel at ease even in the worst situations.”

“Life doesn’t have to be so torturous,” I reply, giving her a quick kiss just as the elevator arrives. “Now, let’s go take a look at a two-thousand-thirteen Ford Fiesta that’s also on the lot just in case you decide against the Spark. I think you’ll like the color. It’s a really flashy lime green. It even has new tires.” Her feet remain glued in place as her eyes turn to an icy glare. “I’m just kidding about the cars. But I’m dead serious about making a little dildo based on Kip.” God, I crack myself up.

  Chapter 7

  Felicia

Rex insists that I drive with the top down even though it’s a totally gloomy day in the city. Since it’s only sixty-five degrees out, I turn on the heater to make it a semi-pleasurable experience. It’s probably stupid to own a convertible in this part of the country anyway, but I love to savor the few beautiful days that we do get each summer. Rex sits back and holds his arms straight up, taking full advantage of the top being down.

“If you could get another car like this, would you still get a convertible or go for a coupe this time?” he asks, flexing his hands in the wind like a kid.

“It’s funny you ask, because I was just thinking about how much I’ll miss having a convertible on those hot summer days.” I turn and give him my best pout.

“Yeah, it’s too bad Kip is such a douche bag.” He shakes his head and goes back to playing in the wind. I have to giggle at his antics. Sometimes, it seems as if he doesn’t have a care in the world. Then again, he’s in charge of his own destiny. He’s a former sex surrogate who sells sex toys online, so it’s not like he has any kind of pristine reputation to maintain. Then it hits me. Who am I? I’m a college graduate who wouldn’t have two nickels to rub together if it weren’t for the job he gave me. At least he didn’t cut me loose after my internship. I chuckle at the thought.

“We probably should’ve taken two cars,” I suddenly realize, not knowing what we’ll drive after turning in mine.

“We’ll just take an Uber over to the discount lot,” he says casually. “I had never ridden in this thing, so this was my last chance. I kinda like it.”

“Kinda like it? I love it,” I tell him with mixed emotions. “Part of me wants to cut this last tie to Kip, but I’ve wanted one of these since they first came out.”

“Were you in eighth grade?” he mocks. “I don’t think I even looked at cars until I was sixteen and got my license.”

“I’ve always loved cars. Ever since my dad bought his first Corvette when I was five or six,” I tell him fondly, remembering the exact day he pulled into the driveway with it. “He took off the top and took me for a ride. It’s one of my best memories of being with my dad. He was so happy. Maybe that’s why I like convertibles.” I pull up to the curb in front of the BMW dealership and take one last look around. “Will you check the glove box?” I ask as I pull a few things out of the console.

A middle-aged gentleman walks up to the car and peers down at me. “I’m Craig, the sales manager,” he says, holding out his hand.

“Hi, I’m Felicia. I’m just taking one last look around. I really love this car,” I tell him, suddenly finding myself becoming a bit teary.

“I assume this is all a surprise?” he asks, looking suspiciously at Rex.

“Yeah,” he replies, flashing a grin and shrugging his eyebrows at me.

“Rex called me earlier,” he continues. “It’s possible to take over the lease on this one, or we have three new ones in the showroom that you can choose from. There’s one that’s identical to this, except it has an upgraded interior.”

“You know I can’t afford one of these,” I tell him, not wanting to get myself into a financial bind. If things don’t work out with him for some reason, I don’t want to be stuck in a lease I can’t afford.

“It’s going to be a company car,” Rex says, holding out his business card for the sales manager. “I’ve never had a company car, so I thought it’s about time we got one. I think we should go check out the new ones in the showroom. Then you can decide.”

“I don’t mean to argue, but…” I reply, knowing that even though he says it’s a corporate car, he’s getting it for me. “Okay, we can look. But we don’t have to do anything today.”

  Rex

Felicia literally lights up as she gets into a shiny black M6 convertible with the premium leather package. She’s the first woman I’ve ever known whom I wan
t to shower with presents. Seeing her smile like this is worth the payments. Besides, she looks amazing sitting in the driver’s seat.

“You don’t have to do this,” she says, giving me a tentative look. “But if you really want to…”

“This is the one?” I glance over at the sticker and make a quick calculation in my head.

She looks around the interior one more time. “It’s absolutely perfect.”

“Then we’ll take it.” I turn to the sales manager. “I imagine it’s about fifteen down and a grand a month?”

“It’ll be really close to that,” he confirms, scurrying off to his office to get the paperwork started. “I’ll have everything ready for you to sign within fifteen minutes. You have good credit, right?”

“It should be fine.” I chuckle at how quickly these guys can move when there’s money on the line. “You have incredible taste in cars,” I tell her after reading through the specs on Google. “Five hundred sixty horsepower and five hundred torque. That’ll get you to work on time.”

“It’s still two hundred less than your Tesla,” she says, giving me a sideways glance. “But yeah, it’s plenty for me. I just love everything about the car, except the price.”

“We’ll expense it. You just keep writing those catchy blurbs for the toys, and I’ll gladly use some of the profit to keep you cruising in style. We need to go somewhere sunny, though, so we can break it in right.”

“Wanna hit the other side of the mountains?” she asks, her face lighting up again.

I glance down at my watch and click my calendar. “The next thing on my schedule is a three o’clock meeting tomorrow afternoon. I think we should see how this thing handles the curves out on Highway 2. If we’re having fun, we’ll spend the night at the Bavarian Inn in Leavenworth and come back in the morning.” I love that town.

“Awesome!” she squeals, gripping the wheel. “Thank you so much! I’m going to love this car every single time I drive it.”

“I know you will.” I bend down and give her a kiss. “Best of all, it’s not from Kip.”

“Thanks for that too.” Tears flood her eyes. “I knew he had gotten that car just to appease me. I never felt good about that.”

“I know. You’ve done a great job on our website, so you definitely deserve this one.” I caress the side of her cheek and simply take in her radiance. “You’re beautiful inside and out. I don’t know how anyone couldn’t see that.”

“I think that’s because of you,” she replies with a flush in her cheeks. “Kip definitely brought out the worst in me. I was actually kind of a bitch to be around.”

“So if you start getting bitchy, I’ll know I’m doing something wrong.” I give her another kiss on the lips. “Let’s go see if our paperwork is ready. I want to see how this baby handles those winding mountain roads.” I wonder if these seats recline all the way back?

After sitting through an hour of boring details regarding the lease agreement, she finally has the keys in hand. I grab my briefcase from the old car while she transfers her things. The speed with which she cleans out everything and abandons the car tells me that this was definitely the right move. “Since this is a work car, we need to test out a new toy during the drive,” I tell her, pulling a strange looking device from my briefcase and handing it to her. “We need to mix business with pleasure.”

“What am I supposed to do with this?” Her eyes widen as she looks it over.

“insert the bigger end inside you,” I whisper. “It’s Bluetooth, so I can control it with my phone. Go to the restroom and slip it in. It’ll be fun.”

“Okay, but I don’t want to crash my new car,” she replies, giving me a worried look.

“I’ll try to control myself until we’re out of heavy traffic,” I assure her with a wink.

“Yeah, right. I know you better than that.” She cracks a smile and reluctantly takes the gadget with her to the restroom. She’s such a trooper. That thing is going to make this little trip even more fun. Sunshine, vibrations, and maybe some outdoor sex by the scenic falls would make for a perfect Monday afternoon. I feel the bulge growing in my pants as I wait for her to return.

I put the seat all the way back and recline it, just to make sure we’ve got enough room. “Getting ready for a nap?” Felicia asks dryly upon her return.

“No. I’m just making sure this thing is fuck friendly,” I reply, bucking my hips just slightly. “I think it’ll be good.”

“You’re like a horny teenager sometimes,” she says, shaking her head and giving me that motherly look of disapproval. I grab my phone and give her a three-second burst of joy just to test the Bluetooth connection. “Ooh! Now that’s much more mature.” She giggles and shivers before getting into the driver’s seat. “You shut that thing off until we get out of the city.”

“Okay,” I reply reluctantly, giving her one more five-second zinger before closing the app. “Yeah, you probably wouldn’t want to do that in city traffic,” I add after she finishes twitching. “Feels pretty good though, huh?”

“It’s really intense, and the tip of it hits my favorite spot,” she admits, still squirming in the driver’s seat.

“Good to know.” I slip my phone into the console to avoid temptation until we’re beyond the city limits. “It makes me horny just knowing you have that thing inside you.” I squirm in my seat to get comfortable before clicking my seatbelt.

“Yeah, I think this is going to be an interesting drive through the mountains. I’ll have to pay attention to my speed so I don’t get pulled over.” She gives me a wary look. “Could you imagine if I got pulled over? I would be so self-conscious.”

“If you get pulled over, I’m definitely playing with that app,” I warn her. “I’m sorry, officer, was I spppeeeeeeedddding?” I ask, mimicking what she would sound like if I gave her a five-second blast while she was talking to the officer.

“Yeah, you probably would do that.” She scowls at me, placing her right elbow firmly on the console lid. “It would be hilarious from your perspective.”

“I wonder if it’s illegal? Having an orgasm would definitely qualify as distracted driving.” I ponder. “I can’t imagine someone introducing the legislation though. Fellow members of congress, we have a problem that needs our attention. There are too many women experiencing orgasm on our nation’s highways.”

“Yeah, the horny old senators would be like… where? Are they hot?” She bursts out laughing. “I had a friend who worked as an intern in D.C. and she had some wild stories to tell.”

“Yeah, some of those guys definitely think they’re above the law,” I agree.

“They’re also really good at spotting the girls with daddy issues.” She rolls her eyes. “It’s like they have a sixth sense or something. Gross.” She cringes. “Okay, new topic.” The traffic slows to a complete stop as we come to merge onto the 405. I slide her elbow from the console and retrieve my phone.

“I’ll just put it on a really low setting, just to pass the time,” I tell her with a wink.

“I wish you wouldn’t. There are so many cars around—mmm, that’s nice.” Her tune immediately changes after I turn it to the lowest setting. “Maybe this will help pass the time.” She merges into traffic and we slowly begin to pick up speed.

“I can even sync it to the song that’s playing,” I tell her, cranking up Levels by Avicii. I then increase the intensity just a notch, which garners a dirty look. As we travel north, the traffic begins to ease and she relaxes into the seat. I turn the device back to the lowest setting, just enough to keep her engaged. Driving east on highway two, the traffic continues to thin as we weave our way into the Wenatchee Forest. By the time we reach Skykomish, the sun is peaking through the treetops, so we pull over and put the top down.

“If the goal of that thing is to get me worked up, I would say it’s done a good job,” Felicia says as we pull back onto the highway. “How far is it to Leavenworth?”

  “It’
s another hour, but there’s a beautiful waterfall about ten miles from here that’s off the beaten path. There’s an unmarked road leading to it and you have to walk that last eight hundred feet. It’s going to be completely deserted on a random Monday afternoon.” I run my hand up her inner thigh and under her skirt while clicking the power setting up to level three.

“Sounds perfect,” she gasps, spreading her legs just slightly. My fingers continue to travel up her leg until I reach the tail of the device nestled between her legs. I take hold of it and begin to move it just slightly, adding to the intensity. “You’d better be careful,” she warns. “I don’t think we want to hit the ditch up here.”

I glance out the window, noticing there is very little shoulder followed by a steep drop. “Yeah, it’s probably better to wait a few minutes.” I sit back in my seat and click to level four, looking over to confirm a positive reaction.

“You’re such a naughty boy,” she moans, shifting in the seat. “You do realize that I’m going to get even with you.”

  “I’m counting on it!”

  Chapter 8

  Felicia

Those last ten miles were the longest of the entire trip. After he messed around with the device, it was hitting me right in the sweet spot. That’s why I didn’t complain when he turned up the intensity. It was a good opportunity for me to test my ability to maintain control of my senses with an incredible distraction between my legs. Ever since learning to control my anxiety and blushing, I’ve become increasingly interested in how I can control my body under adverse conditions. Not that this is adverse—far from it.

“Pull in next to those pine trees,” he says as we leave the highway and travel down the unmarked gravel road. “I wouldn’t take a new car beyond this point.”
