  “Donata.”

She turned just as an arm wrapped around her waist. She tightened up and turned right into Coleman’s arms, awkwardly catching his cheek with her lips. He remained holding her, and she knew the games had begun. If she could get through flirting and acting like there was something personal between her and Coleman in front of two of the four men she fantasized about, she might be able to pull this off.

“What are you doing here? I thought you had something important to do,” she said, acting like she knew his schedule. He squinted at her.

“And miss spending time with you? Nothing would ever get in the way of seeing you, Donata.” He then looked at Kyle and stuck out his hand. “Good seeing you so soon, Kyle. How’s everything?”

“Great. Good to see you, too. Do you know—”

“Jack and Turbo Jones? Yes, I do. Gentleman,” he said but didn’t reach his hand out to shake theirs. By their expressions, she knew instantly that Jack and Turbo knew Coleman, and she wondered how.

“If you’ll excuse us, I have things to discuss with Donata,” he said and pulled her away from Turbo and Jack.

“Good seeing you,” she said and then allowed Coleman to take her hand and lead her away from them. He slid his arm around her waist and brought her over toward a high table with two chairs by the bar area.

“Tell me, how do you know such men?” he asked, caging her in near the table and wall. She looked up at his dark brown eyes and raised one of her eyebrows up at him.

“I could ask you the same question. Organized crime doesn’t seem your forte.”

He caressed her jaw. “You never know what anyone is capable of, Donata.” He stared at her lips then gazed over her breasts.

“That, I agree with. What is it you’re looking for? Haven’t my brother and I done enough?” she asked. He caressed her hip and placed his other hand against the wall above her shoulder, caging her in and making it obvious he was whispering to her. A glance past him, and she saw daggers in Turbo’s eyes. She looked away. She had to focus to pull this off. She just had to.

“You should know now that Admere has you under his control, he will expect great things from you.”

“We’ve done enough. We won’t do more. It will be too risky. Besides, numbers have been going down the last several months.”

He gripped her wrist and brought it behind her, surprising her. Her lips parted and he glared at her.

“You can’t finagle numbers and make it seem like your business is suddenly failing. It won’t work. Admere is too smart for that.”

“I wasn’t finagling anything, just speaking the truth.”

“No, you lie to me and you are not a liar. At least not a good one. Things don’t have to be so bad if you let me help you.” She widened her eyes and chuckled, then turned away only for him to grip her jaw and make her look at him.

“It doesn’t have to be so bad.”

  Tears stung her eyes.

“You don’t think so? Then you let that man touch you, cut you, and promise to do to you what he promised to do to me. Then come back here and tell me things aren’t so bad.” She went to move, and he pressed his body against hers and whispered against her neck and ear, still holding her wrist behind her back.

“You obey my orders, and do as I ask, no questions, and perhaps you will never have to face Admere or anyone like him again.”

She tilted her head upward to look at him. “You think I would trust you? You set Ellis and Kyle up with that guy, Halan. You made me part of this situation, and I had nothing to do with any deals. If you think I would risk what little I have, my body, my soul, to you after that, then you’re out of your mind,” she stated firmly.

He held her gaze, and she didn’t know if she had played too tough or just right. He clenched his teeth and stared at her lips. “God damn.” He pressed his mouth to hers and kissed her.

She tightened up and had to use all of her will and strength to not pull away. When he released her lips, he stroked her hair and cupped her cheeks with both hands. At least he wasn’t restraining her any longer. She stared at him and acted like his kiss got to her. He was looking into her eyes and at her face as if trying to see if she was pretending or not. She blinked and lowered her eyes.

“You shouldn’t have kissed me,” she said to him. He stroked her jaw and kept her pressed against the wall.

  “Why not?”

“You know why,” she said, voice cracking, surprising herself at the capabilities she suddenly had to act. She was not going to allow any of these men to force her into their bed.

“I know you’re scared of him.” She swallowed hard.

“I know things. Have access to things and can save you from becoming his lover.”

“Is this one of those games of ‘which man would it be worse to belong to’?”

“You think the worse of me, Donata?” He caressed her neck and jaw.

“You were there when Admere touched me, threatened me, and took a taste.” She shivered, unable to hide her body’s reaction to the memory.

He pressed closer and caressed her arm. “He’s an evil man. The things he does to his lovers are more torturous than arousing. That tough spirit you have, the need to fight, to resist the control, will only land you battered and broken down. His actions of discipline are not for the faint of heart.”

“Are you just saying these things to make me believe you could help me?”

“No. I say these things because I can help you if you do as I ask. If you accept my orders, I can make it so that you and your brother are free from Admere’s control.”

“And then we are what? Under your control?”

He shrugged and gave her a wink.

“I’m more humane when it comes to beautiful, obedient women like you. It will work out fine. Believe me, everyone has a price. There’s always a way out of a deal, and since I’m the one orchestrating this entire thing, you’d be digging your own grave to deny my help.”

She didn’t know how to respond, and thank God she didn’t have to.

“Think about things, then let me know where we stand.” He kissed her forehead and then her hand before he walked away, leaving her feeling hollow inside, or like she just made matters worse for herself and promised her body to Coleman just to get away from Admere. Either way it seemed she was going to end up under a man’s control to save her brother, herself, and the company. She was losing this fight. There seemed to be no way out. Suddenly she felt sick.

Turbo wasn’t saying a word. He was fuming mad, and so was Jack. Could Donata be seeing Coleman Perkins? Hell, sleeping with him? By the way the man held her close, whispered to her, and restrained her, he knew her well. She had looked scared initially, and then her expression had changed. He’d seen it. Turbo was good at watching people, figuring out their personalities, knowing when they were lying and telling the truth. He needed to confront her, but he knew if he did that he would demand to know if she was fucking Coleman. Fuck.

He downed his drink and then looked toward the exit. Jack followed his line of sight.

“He’s leaving. I’m going to go talk to her.”

“Maybe you shouldn’t,” Turbo said to him.

“Listen, she’s friends with Bella. We know who Coleman is, as do Mateus and Major. Fair warning of the type of man he is could help steer her away from him.”

“So she comes toward us? Think that through, Jack. You of all people don’t do commitments or take women seriously. We never went after Donata because of the potential shit storm it could cause.”

“That was before Harley nearly fucked her in the back office and found out that she was interested in being with all of us. It changed the game. It made it serious.”

“She’s not interested. If she were, then she wouldn’t have blown us off for Coleman or avoided us.”

“I’m going to talk to her,” Jack said and got up and headed toward the hallway.

  Turbo wasn’t going to follow,
but he had to. Coleman Perkins knew a lot of bad people, and their paths had crossed with all of them and the Fiorres before. Donata should know what she was getting herself involved with.

When he walked past the doorway to the balcony, Jack thought he’d missed her, or she somehow had left without him getting a chance to see her and talk to her. It was dark, and he would have missed her entirely if it weren’t for the light on her cell phone as she spoke to someone.

  He eased the door open.

“The bruises will heal and disappear. What happened won’t. I’m not discussing this with you any further. Very little was accomplished. We’ll talk tomorrow.” She ended the call and placed it into her purse, then exhaled. What did she mean the bruises would heal? Had someone hurt her? Had Coleman? Her hand went to her forehead. She hadn’t even heard him enter or approach. He was good at his job.

“Any particular reason why you’re associating with a man like Coleman Perkins?” he asked. She gasped, swung around toward him, then hissed, covering her side with her hand. He narrowed his eyes at her and approached just as the door opened and Turbo joined them. Her eyes darted from him to Turbo, and then she swallowed and turned away to take a breath.

“What are you doing out here?” she asked and then put on a fake smile.

He stared at her. “What’s going on? Are you in some kind of trouble?” he asked her, and once again she looked away from him, then toward Turbo then she smoothed her hand down her dress. She gave a lame chuckle.

“No trouble here. I should head back to the party and to find Kyle.” She started to head toward him, and he gripped her wrist with one hand and then her hip with the other. She tightened and he knew she was hurt. He just knew she had some kind of injury on her side, and he had a feeling it wasn’t from some adventurous activity while she was away in some secret place she refused to tell Bella about. She stepped back, and he moved forward, advancing on her until her ass hit the balcony wall.

“Jack, don’t,” she said, but it was useless for her to try and stop him. The scent of her shampoo, the sight of her gorgeous eyes looking intimidated—and she should be. He was a trained killer, a fighter, and an expert in more things than this sexy bombshell of a woman would ever know about. He cupped her cheek and tilted her face up toward him.

“Are you in some kind of danger?”

Her eyes darted to the left then right, and she shook her head.

Turbo was right behind him and pressed his hand to the wall above her shoulder. They were caging her in against the wall and looking down at her.

“Never lie to us,” Turbo said very slowly, softly, but in a tone that surely Donata would understand meant business.

She tried turning from Jack’s hold, but he tightened his fingers on her jaw.

  “What’s your business with Coleman?”

“None of your business,” she replied, and when he raised one of his eyebrows at her response and snippy tone, she immediately lowered her eyes.

He stroked her jaw and her lips parted. Her eyes looked glossy with tears. “Don’t Jack, Turbo. Please.”

“Don’t what? Don’t care about you? Don’t have concerns over who you’re keeping company with?” Turbo asked. Jack clenched his teeth. She better not be fucking Coleman. The thought pissed him off. He pressed his hand against her waist, and she gasped.

“What the fuck? You’re hurting.” Turbo raised his voice. Turbo was not a patient man at all. He was hard, sharp in his tone, and a bit crazy at times.

She stuttered for words, for a way to make excuses. “No, I’m fine. I just got banged up on the trip with all the crazy excursions and stuff. I’m fine. I’m—”

Jack pressed his mouth to hers. He couldn’t take it. He was getting angrier and angrier at her for lying to him. To them. He wanted answers, but he was concerned for her well-being. His gut told him she was involved with something that had put her in over her head. His thoughts were a whirlwind of emotions as he plunged his tongue into her mouth and then pulled her against his chest. He ran his palm over her ass and squeezed as she kissed him back, and Turbo joined in. He knew the moment Turbo pressed up against her back and started kissing her shoulder and neck. She tightened and then moaned into Jack’s mouth.

Flashbacks of Coleman pressing her up against the wall, holding her hand behind her back, and kissing her went through his mind. He cupped her breast, and her hands moved from his sides as Turbo pulled them behind her, restraining her. She moaned and pressed her chest forward. She was locked between them. Helpless. At their mercy and they took advantage of it. Her body jerked, and he pulled his hips back as he realized that Turbo had maneuvered his hand under her dress by the side slit and was now fingering her pussy. His forearm pressed hard against her midsection, and Jack focused on keeping her from crying out her release by kissing her. Her hips were rocking. The fact that they were in the darkness of a balcony at a public place and his brother was finger fucking her made Jack feel crazed and needed, too.

“You’re so fucking wet and tight. You want this, baby. You want all of us like we want you. No more fucking fighting it. You listen to me, to my command. Come for us. Come all over my fingers, baby. Fucking come. Come,” Turbo ordered, thrusting his fingers into her cunt, and she tightened and then moaned and shook.

Jack released her lips and Turbo pulled his fingers from her pussy, turned her around, and kissed her on the mouth. Jack felt the perspiration hit his brow, the excitement and arousal fill his body. He had never felt like this. Never wanted a woman more than he wanted Donata. Holy shit. This was it. This was what they were fighting against. This powerful connection and need. He pressed his hands onto her shoulders as Turbo held her tight and ravished her mouth.

Jack couldn’t resist joining in, needing to touch her, inhale her shampoo. He gripped a handful of her gorgeous brown locks and inhaled the scent. He squeezed his fist tightly around the curls in desperation to absorb as much as he could. She became an obsession instantly.

He moved his other palm along her sides, and she tightened. He squeezed and she pulled from Turbo’s mouth and inhaled sharply.

“You’re hurt badly. How fucking badly?” he demanded to know through clenched teeth. She lay her cheek against Turbo’s chest. She was catching her breath, and when Turbo cupped her cheeks, he narrowed his eyes. “You’re crying?”

Jack’s gut clenched tight. She was in trouble, in some kind of danger. Someone had hurt her.

“Who hurt you? Was it Coleman? Did he lay a hand on you?” Jack demanded to know. She shook her head and then closed her eyes tight and pulled back from Turbo only for him to pull her back against his chest.

She pressed her hands against Turbo’s chest.

  “Please, don’t ask me questions.”

“Fuck that,” Jack said, pressing up against her back and running his hands along her arm on her right while holding her wrist in his hand on the left. Turbo cupped her cheek and kept a hand on her hip. Jack could feel him stroking her side.

  “You’re hurt here. Where else?”

  She shook her head.

Jack tightened his hold on her wrist.

“You have two fucking choices. One, you tell us what is going on here and now, or two, we take you out of here, call the others, and have them pick up Coleman and find out exactly what the fuck is going on.”

She shook her head. “Don’t do that. Don’t, Jack, Turbo, please. You don’t understand what’s going on. It will make matters worse.”

“How so?” Turbo stroked her jaw and held her gaze as he stared down into her eyes.

“I can’t tell you. Please, this is the worst timing for this.”

“No, I think it’s great timing. I think we’re stopping you from doing something dangerous, stupid, that could get you hurt or killed.”

  “No, please, Jack. Release me.”

He pressed his mouth to her bare shoulder and her neck. She tilted to the side in acceptance of the pleasure his lips inflicted on her sk
in.

“You’re hurting. Someone hurt you, right?” He suckled harder.

  “Yes.”

“Was that someone Coleman?” Turbo asked.

“No,” she said. Jack had been expecting a yes. His concerns grew stronger.

  “Who was it then?”

She tightened up and tried to get free from their holds.

“Don’t push us away. We’re not the enemy. We can help you if you explain what’s going on,” Turbo said to her.

“It isn’t your problem. There isn’t a need for concern.”

“You’re lying again, baby. Lying to me will result in punishments I don’t think you’re quite ready to handle,” Turbo said, and she gasped.

“Punishments?” she asked, and Jack released her wrist to cup and squeeze her ass.

“Oh yeah, and you are racking up the spankings to this ass, baby,” Turbo added, and she shook her head.

“Stop talking. Stop doing this to me and making me lose focus. Stop.” She said pulling free from their holds. She covered her face with her hands. Jack knew the walls were going back up and she was going to deny what had just happened, how good it had felt, and minimize what was going on.

“Take this, and let’s go,” Turbo said to her, handing over her evening bag, which he’d picked up off the floor.

Her smoky green eyes widened. “What? I’m not going anywhere with you.”

“Oh, yes, you are. We’re not fucking around here anymore. We want you. I’m texting Covan and Harley. We can all meet at your place or ours.”

“No. Absolutely not. I’m not going to be manhandled and ordered to go with you so you can what? Fuck me? Use me for your pleasure and then move on? Jesus, all you men are alike. You take the passion, something good, and taint it, minimize it, and destroy the beauty of it. No.” She smoothed her hands down her hips. She stepped toward the door.

“Donata.” Jack said her name, and she narrowed her eyes at him.
