The green haired girl gazed at Zhou Yuan’s back in a crestfallen manner. It had not been easy for her to encounter a Genesis Beast which possess such a powerful bloodline, but it already has a master who was unwilling to sell it.

“No, no. I can’t give up!”

But the green haired girl soon began to stamp her feet. Obtaining that mysterious little beast would be far too helpful to her cultivation. Therefore, she could not give up so easily.

“If you don’t want to sell it to me, I’ll keep following you!”

The green haired girl’s eyes rotated in thought before quickly catching up to Zhou Yuan.

  “Little bro, what’s your name?”

“Little bro, where do you come from?”

“Little bro, are you also going to the Saint Remains Domain? We can form a team, I’m pretty strong and definitely will not be a burden!”

  “......”

After several steps, the veins on Zhou Yuan’s head were practically about to leap off. He took in a deep breath, before turning around to face the beaming bum beetle of a green haired girl that had been following him.

Zhou Yuan crankily said, “Why are you following me?”

The green haired girl responded with a wide grin, “Our meeting is fate, why the need to be so cold. Can’t we get to know each other better?”

The corners of Zhou Yuan’s mouth twitched irritably. Who can’t tell that you have designs on Tuntun.

Hence, he paid no further attention to the girl and quickened his footsteps, walking towards the place Yaoyao was at.

Upon seeing this, the green haired girl doggedly followed, continuing to force her yammering into his head.

The duo passed by one last hall as Zhou Yuan turned to look towards the place Yaoyao had originally been at. His eyes instantly widened.

At the display nearby, Yaoyao was still focused on the damaged ancient texts within. However, there was now a young man in white at her side.

The youth was rather handsome and gave off a cultured and refined aura. He smiled warmly as he stood beside Yaoyao as if continuously trying to say something.

Several servant girls followed behind him. Wherever Yaoyao’s footsteps stopped, he would wave his hand and buy all of the damaged texts her gaze had paused on.

Thus, in a brief few minutes, the servant girls’ arms were already bursting to the brim, drawing many gazes from the surroundings.

Zhou Yuan reached out to scratch the back of his head, a little puzzled by this scene. What was going on?

  Chapter 120 Gu Lang

Gu Lang’s mood was pretty good today. Especially when he saw incomparably breathtaking girl in Precious Treasures Pavillion who was now in front of him. This made his already good mood grow even more perfect.

As the young master of the Gu clan, Gu Lang’s status in the Gu Territory was obviously very high.

Moreover, his looks, identity, background and cultivation talent naturally made him one of the most outstanding individuals amongst his generation in the area. Over the years, Gu Lang had encountered countless beauties and was confident of maintaining his cool in front of any of them.

Till today, when he saw this girl in green.

A single look had instantly shattered his cool. Gu Lang swore that he had never ever seen a girl like this who could captivate him so deeply after a single glance. Her aloofness, as if no one else existed in the same world as herself, her mysteriousness, her ungraspable as air aura. All of these traits made intense desire rise within the heart of Gu Lang, who had not had much interest in girls for a long time.

Thus, he very naturally approached to hit on her.

Unfortunately for him, the girl in green was completely unresponsive towards the young master of the Gu clan. So much so that she did not even lift her gaze and instead continued to be glued to the damaged Genesis Runes in the display.

This rare failure only managed to flame the interest in Gu Lang’s heart.

Gu Lang was after all a veteran player, and very quickly found an entry point. “Miss, are you interested in these damaged Genesis Runes? Heh heh, I just so happen to be a manager of the Precious Treasures Pavillion. If you’d like, I can gift you everything you’ve taken a fancy to.”

Gu Lang gently waved the silver fan in his hand, a slight smile on his face. His confident and gentle expression, plus his generous attitude was indeed enough to stir the hearts of many girls.

The eyes of the girl in green seemed to ripple a little. She finally raised her head and looked at him. “Gift everything to me?”

The silver fan in Gu Lang’s land gently tapped his palm as a pleased feeling rose in his heart. On the surface however, he continued to smile as he gave a light nod and said in a gentle voice, “They are merely collecting dust here, if miss has taken a fancy to them, it could be said to have given them value.”

The girl in green seemed to smile. Without further ado, she began to walk forward.

Gu Lang did not hesitate to display his magnanimity. With a wave of his hand, servant girls came forward to retrieve all of the damaged texts the girl in green had been looking at previously.

As they continued to walk, the load in the servant girls’ arms grew larger and larger.

This scene drew the attention of quite a number of people. However, practically everyone here knew Gu Lang’s identity and inwardly shook their heads as they cast pitying gazes at the girl in green.

Every girl that the young master of the Gu clan had set his sights on had ultimately been unable to escape his hands.

It was at this time that Zhou Yuan arrived and coincidentally caught sight of this scene.

Although he did not know what had occurred previously, as another man, he was naturally able to see the desire in the youth’s eyes towards Yaoyao. This fellow clearly believed that such a method would move Yaoyao.

Zhou Yuan pinched Tuntun’s ear as he helplessly remarked, “*Sigh*. "Both of you are troublemakers.”

Due to Tuntun, they had attracted the attention of a baffling green haired girl. While on Yaoyao’s side, her beauty and aura seemed to have drawn a lascivious guy.

Zhou Yuan walked forward as he shook his head.

Yaoyao seemed to sense Zhou Yuan’s arrival, immediately lifting her gorgeous face to look at Zhou Yuan, the corners of her rosy lips raising slightly as she asked, “Have you bought everything?”

  Zhou Yuan nodded.

Gu Lang’s eyes narrowed when he saw this. He could naturally sense Yaoyao clearly grow a little more lively while she conversed with Zhou Yuan. It was obvious that the relationship between them was not ordinary.

However, Gu Lang maintained the kind smile on his face as he cupped his hands together towards Zhou Yuan and greeted, “I am Gu Lang, a member of the Gu clan.”

  “The Gu clan huh…”

Zhou Yuan expression was unchanged. “Zhou Yuan.”

Gu Lang sized up Zhou Yuan, a kind smile on the surface while an almost undetectable trace of contempt flitted across the depths of his eyes. He had evidently already discovered that Zhou Yuan was only at the Qi Nourishing stage.

Such strength could only be considered trivially ordinary in the central region where geniuses were now plenty.

At the same time, it also showed that Zhou Yuan did not have any overly powerful backers or he would not be limited to such progress.

Gu Lang no longer looked at Zhou Yuan, his gaze turning towards Yaoyao as he smiled. “I still haven’t asked for your name miss.”

Yaoyao pointed at the damaged texts in the arms of the servant girls behind him and inquired, “Are they all for me?”

  Gu Lang grinned. “Of course.”

“Keep them.” Yaoyao looked towards Zhou Yuan.

The corners of Zhou Yuan’s mouth twitched for a moment, before he walked forward, received the damaged texts from the servant girls and kept them all into his Universe bag.

The smile on Gu Lang’s face grew even wider when he saw Yaoyao accept his gifts. It seemed tha
t he had already accomplished the first step. The girl in green would soon become his plaything.

“Hehe, miss, you’re quite an unfamiliar face and I’m guessing that you just arrived here. How about I be your host and show you around.” Gu Lang beamed.

  “Let’s go.”

However, almost immediately after he finished speaking, Yaoyao nonchalantly signalled to Zhou Yuan, before turning around to leave.

The expression on Gu Lang’s face could not help but turn rigid, a little dazed by this turn of events. That’s not how the script should be… shouldn’t the other party proceed to the next step after accepting his gift?

What was this? Leaving right away after eating?

Zhou Yuan cast a sideways glance at Gu Lang. Did this fellow really believe that Yaoyao was someone who would so succumb so easily to sweet words and gifts? In her eyes, it was your honour for her to take your things…

Zhou Yuan inwardly shook his head, paying no further attention to Gu Lang as he caught up to Yaoyao.

Gu Lang quickly came back to his senses. How could he allow the meat that was almost at his lips to escape? He swiftly walked forward and cut in front of Yaoyao.

“Is there anything else?” Yaoyao frowned, indifference in her eyes as she looked towards him.

Gu Lang froze momentarily. Soon after, his eyes seemed to flicker in thought as he revealed a warm smile and said, “The fact that the two of you have arrived here can be said to be fate of sorts. How about this, my clan’s Spirit Refining Tower will be opening tomorrow, and numerous geniuses hope to enter to train their Spirits. There is, however, a limited amount of places. If the two of you are interested, I can gift two spots to you as a token to the start of our friendship.”

Gu Lang fished out two bronze tokens from his sleeves. The Gu clan insignia and a black tower had been engraved on the tokens.

“Enter the Spirit Refining Tower?” Zhou Yuan was instantly taken aback, shock in his eyes as he looked towards Gu Lang. The Spirit Refining Tower was the Gu clan’s treasure. Were they really willing to open it to outsiders?

Would the Gu clan actually be so kind?

While Zhou Yuan was still in shock, Yaoyao’s faint voice was transmitted into his ears. “Accept it. That Spirit Refining Tower is a little interesting after all.”

Zhou Yuan shot a look at Yaoyao. Given how smart the latter was, she likely also had suspicions about Gu Lang’s motives. But she probably had her own plans since she had uttered such words.

Therefore, Zhou Yuan grinned at Gu Lang and said, “Then I’ll have to thank young master Gu.”

He reached out and received the bronze tokens.

Yaoyao still did not say a single word to Gu Lang, merely sweeping an indifferent gaze at him, before her long legs began to walk towards Precious Treasures Pavillion’s exit.

Gu Lang watched Yaoyao’s and Zhou Yuan’s leaving figures as the kind smile on his face gradually faded, replaced by a chilling coldness.

“Go find out where they are staying, and make sure they don’t sneak away. My gifts aren’t so easily accepted.”

The silver fan in Gu Lang’s hand gently smacked his palm as a strange smile grew from the corners of his lips.

“No one can reject a spot to enter the Spirit Refining Tower.”

“However… there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world…”

  Chapter 121 Beast Heart Communicator

On the street, Zhou Yuan played with the two bronze tokens in his hand, his eyes flickering in thought as he said, “Why do I keep feeling that something is not quite right. A treasure such as the Spirit Refining Tower can’t possibly be enough for the training of their own clan members. I can’t believe that the Gu clan is willing to open it to others.”

Yaoyao tilted her head slightly and shot him a look as she remarked, “There should be something strange about this matter.”

She was far too intelligent, and although she looked to be rather indifferent to the rest of the world, a single glance was all it took for her to discern the truth behind numerous matters. Gu Lang’s ploy was practically meaningless before her.

“Then why did you accept?” Zhou Yuan’s tone was slightly miffed.

Yaoyao chuckled. “Because if the tower can truly temper your Spirit, it will be very beneficial to you, and may even allow you to step into the advance Illusory stage.”

  Advance Illusory stage!

Zhou Yuan snapped to attention at this point. It had been almost half a year since his Spirit had reached the mid Illusory stage, but he was still unable to ascend to the advance stage.

It was evidently not going to be easy to reach the advance Illusory stage.

But once he reached it, Zhou Yuan would be able to begin learning grade 3 Genesis Runes. When that happened, his battle power would soar, allowing him to put up a fight even against those truly talented geniuses.

It was because he understood this that Zhou Yuan had not dared to slack off on his Spirit training for the past few months. However, he had not been able to achieve the results he desired.

“In any case, we’ll go take a look. Even if there are any problems, a single Gu clan should not be able to stop us.” Yaoyao’s tone was unconcerned, showing almost no fear at all.

Warmth blossomed in Zhou Yuan’s heart. Yaoyao was willing to take such a risk so that he could progress in his Spirit cultivation.

Zhou Yuan said, “If it seems that things are about to go wrong, we can always give up.”

Yaoyao did not comment, her footsteps suddenly pausing as she said, “What’s up with her?”

Zhou Yuan was momentarily stunned. He followed Yaoyao’s gaze and looked back, only to feel an oncoming headache when he saw a green haired girl suspiciously tailing them.

  “Hehe, what a coincidence.”

After being discovered by the Zhou Yuan duo, the green haired girl grinned as she hopped forward and said to Yaoyao, “You’re so pretty big sis.”

Yaoyao cast a puzzled gaze at Zhou Yuan.

Zhou Yuan massaged his forehead as he explained, “We met her earlier. She wants to buy Tuntun.”

Yaoyao observed the green haired girl and slowly remarked, “A beast heart communicator.”

The green haired girl’s smiling face finally changed slightly, now somewhat on guard as she stared at Yaoyao. It was the first time someone had seen right through her in a single glance.

“Beast heart communicator?” Asked a confused Zhou Yuan. He had clearly never heard of such a thing.

Yaoyao elaborated, “In simple terms, she has the innate talent of communicating with Genesis Beasts, and can command tens of thousands of beasts. In addition, she is able to borrow the power of Genesis Beasts. Don’t think of her as an ordinary Heaven Gate stage practitioner. Once she borrows the power of a Genesis Beast, I’m afraid that even you will not be her match.”

There was finally some change in the gaze with which Zhou Yuan looked towards the green haired girl. He had not expected this eccentric girl to hide such an astonishing ability.

“You’re pretty formidable big sis.” Said the green haired girl rather apprehensively. Some wariness now present in her eyes when she looked towards Yaoyao. She wanted to leave, but her eyes involuntarily looked towards Tuntun.

“Are you really not selling?” The green haired girl pouted.

Yaoyao’s tone seemed to contain some interest as she responded, “Tuntun is a free creature. If you’re able to make it follow you, we will not stop it.”

“Really?” The green haired girl’s large eyes brightened.

Yaoyao crossed her arms and nodded.

“Don’t regret your words!” The green haired girl’s eyes rotated in thought. She practically leapt in front of Zhou Yuan, looked at the lazy looking Tuntun in his arms, before she very carefully reached out a hand as the mysterious pattern on the back of the hand began to glow.

Due to her ability to communicate with Genesis Beasts, the green haired girl had never encountered a Genesis Beast
that could resist her. This was why she could easily pass through any mountain forest that was overflowing with Genesis Beasts.

Hence, she believed that the mysterious little creature before her eyes would definitely follow her once she established a connection with it.

Rays of light emerged from the green haired girl’s palm and shined on Tuntun’s head. A pattern similar to the one on the back of her hand slowly began to take shape on Tuntun’s forehead.

Upon seeing the pattern appear, joy immediately revealed itself on her pretty face.

  Crack.

However, the moment her smile appeared, the pattern on Tuntun’s forehead began to disintegrate. Tuntun still had the same lazy appearance from before, and merely shot her a sideways glance.

“Ah? How is this possible?” The green haired girl was dumbstruck. This was the first time she had encountered such a situation.

Unable to believe she had failed, she suddenly bit the tip of her finger, causing a dash of red appeared. She began to draw in the air, ultimately culminating into a glowing blood-red pattern that descended onto Tuntun’s forehead.

However, the pattern did not last for long, and swiftly disintegrated once again.

“Why?” The successive failures made the green haired girl frantic.

Yaoyao explained in a dull voice, “Because its bloodline is too powerful.”

“You are too weak in its eyes. For example. while walking on the road, would you pay any attention to an ant that wishes to communicate with you?”

Zhou Yuan stared at Tuntun in amazement. To think that this little fellow was actually so prideful. But wait a minute, if the green haired girl was akin to an ant in its eyes, won’t Zhou Yuan himself be of similar status?

As if it could read Zhou Yuan’s thoughts, Tuntun raised its head, the expression in its eyes seemingly saying, “Have you just realised?”

The corners of Zhou Yuan’s mouth twitched as he hatefully grinded his teeth.

The green haired girl had also received rather substantial blow. Her crestfallen appearance was really pitiful.

At this moment, Yaoyao chuckled and said, “But the fact that Tuntun has allowed you to place two heart link patterns on its head in succession means that it is already considerably friendly towards you. If not, you would have already been swallowed by it long ago.”
