“God, I can’t believe how wonderful you feel,” Drew said as she turned to see the morning sun peeking through the shutters. The love in her heart was nearly as bright. “I love you, Jordan Thompson.” She laughed and hugged Jordan. “You are absolutely amazing.”
Jordan blushed. Her face a bright red, Jordan tried to bury her head in Drew’s shoulder.
Seeing this vulnerability, Drew instantly wanted to protect her. She lifted Jordan’s head so that she could see into her eyes. “You are the most amazing woman I know, and right now, I want to make love to you again.”
Jordan’s groan was all the answer she needed. Drowning Jordan in passionate kisses, Drew caressed the gentle curves and swells of Jordan’s stomach and hips, dancing around the curls covering her warm center.
“Please,” Jordan begged, well aware of what pleased her. She grabbed Drew’s hand and moved it down.
“Anything for you.” Drew found the already firm clitoris and began to stroke it. Jordan’s hips joined the dance in slow, languid rhythm, an overture, a waltz of enticement. Drew’s hand slipped to the warm well and one finger dipped in, teased, and retreated. Two fingers moved to the entrance. Breathing faster, Jordan moved to the rhythm Drew set. “You’re so wet. I can’t believe how good you feel.”
“Drew, please. Don’t stop.” The pace of the dance changed. Jordan’s hips thrust against her hand. A faster tempo. She kissed Drew’s neck, then buried her face there. “Please. Oh, Drew…” Talking was difficult. “You feel so good.”
“Relax, sweetheart. Just enjoy.” Drew stroked the swollen clitoris and slipped inside. She felt Jordan tightening around her fingers. The final movement of the dance was set.
“Trust me?” Drew asked.
“Yes,” Jordan answered breathlessly.
Drew slid down, kissing Jordan’s stomach and thighs before sliding between her legs. She kissed Jordan’s swollen clitoris, then gently sucked.
Jordan had never known such exquisite pleasure. Moving against Drew’s mouth, she pushed, seeking more pressure.
“I need to feel you in me, too.”
Jordan grabbed Drew’s shoulders, her hips dancing to the melody Drew had set. Every nerve in her body was singing. Everywhere Drew’s body touched her, Jordan’s skin was on fire. Jordan danced until finally she felt an explosive release. Her legs tightened against Drew, trapping her fingers in her orgasmic spasms.
“Enough, I need to breathe,” Jordan whispered. How can this be even better? Can I die from too much? When Drew crawled up next to her, Jordan finally collapsed on the bed. She felt strong arms pull her close, safely wrapping her in their love.
Whatever happened after today, Jordan was sure she could handle. They would have to be discreet, at least for a while. Her life was constantly under inspection, and this wonderful, new love needed to be sheltered and allowed time to grow. Despite the challenges, she had faith that together, they would work everything out. Until then, Drew loved her and that was all she needed.

Drew opened one eye and looked at the clock on the bedside table. With the sun still peeking through the blinds, she figured it was two in the afternoon. She stretched and sat up. She and Jordan had made love until five and then talked until seven.
Around eight, Jordan said she needed to run home to get some clothes. “Stay in bed and I’ll be back.” She sat at the edge of the bed. “You look too good. If I don’t leave now, I may change my mind.” She grabbed her clothes and walked into the living room.
Drew remained in bed another fifteen minutes before she realized she was starving. She decided to get up and get dressed and then call Jordan.
When she opened the door, she found Jordan stretched out on the couch reading.
“Jordan! I was just going to call you. How long have you been here?”
Jordan smiled. Her really happy smile, dimples and all. “You sure know how to make a person feel welcome.” She stopped inches away.
Noticing Jordan was wearing one of her University of Wyoming shirts, and little else, Drew grinned.
“Oops.”
Jordan moved closer and slipped her arms around Drew’s neck. “You didn’t seem to mind when I first crawled into bed with you.” She laughed. “You’re turning red. My, I like this side of you.” She took Drew’s hand and led her into the kitchen. “Since Mark is gone for the weekend, I thought we could go to my place. It’s quieter and I know we won’t be disturbed.”
“What about your security detail? Don’t they report to your father?” Drew wanted to protect Jordan. She knew any relationship with a member of Harold Thompson’s family could result in serious family problems for them both. She felt this was one of those paradoxical situations with no way for either of them to win. Yet in her heart she had no doubt of her feelings for Jordan.
She finished her sandwich and put her plate in the dishwasher. She sat next to Jordan. Her heart skipped a beat. “Do you want to sit on the couch? It’s more comfortable.”
Jordan shook her head. “I don’t care where we sit as long as I can touch you.” Nothing in her life had prepared her for the sensuality and intensity of this experience. She couldn’t get enough of Drew. Was it this way for everyone or just women? She felt a tingling beginning between her legs.
Drew hesitated. “Jordan, I know how easy it is to get wrapped up in the first emotional throes and forget everything but those moments together.”
“Stop!” Jordan held up her hand for emphasis. This was so unexpected she wasn’t sure she wanted to hear the rest. Had Drew just wanted a one-night sex romp with her? No, she didn’t believe that. “If you’re going to say ‘I care about you, but I just want to be friends,’ then I’ll save you the effort and leave now.” A tear rolled down her cheek. “That’s not what you were saying earlier. Is that what women do to each other? I thought only guys did that to us.” She paused to regain her composure. “This is all new to me, and I assumed you felt the way I do. I’m sorry.” She stood and wiped away the tears. How did the day deteriorate so fast?
Drew stroked the side of Jordan’s face. “Please, just listen.” Drew remained silent until Jordan looked at her. “That was not what I was saying, Jordan. I just wondered if you’ve thought this through. Have you even thought about how seriously a relationship with a woman could hurt your father or your relationship with your family? Or what your life would be like if you’re publicly outed? What will your friends think? This is my life and I’ve faced all these questions.” Drew reached for Jordan’s hand. “Are you ready for the reality?”
Jordan maintained eye contact, listening carefully. How many times had she asked herself the same questions? Her counselor had helped, but still she was haunted by those same questions. Was she really a lesbian? Why did people have to label things? Jordan was sure of one thing. She loved Drew.
She waited for Drew to finish speaking. Her voice was steady. “I didn’t know it at the time, but I began falling in love with you the first day we met. I had interviewed so many people, and they were all trying to please me. You came into the room in black, worn jeans. You had on a white, long-sleeved cotton shirt with a black lightning bolt across it. It was perfectly creased. As were your jeans. I could tell you were an organized person. You didn’t seem to know me or even care to know me.”
Jordan laughed as she recalled that day. “You were wearing a pair of your lace-up boots. They were worn but recently polished.” She put her hand on Drew’s arm. “What I noticed most was that large silver buckle you wore. I’d never seen anything like it. I kept trying to read what was on it while we talked. I think that was how the whole thing with the chair started.” She paused, enjoying the memory. “You were so confident, business-like, unlike anyone I had ever met. You came in wearing those fitted jeans like you owned the office, handing me your references. I had talked to eight people before you, but three minutes after you walked in, I had made my decision. By Christmas, all I could think about was you.”
“I had no ide
a.” Drew pulled her close.
“What was I supposed to say? None of it made sense. Who was I going to talk to? Yes, I’ve thought about my father and his position.” Jordan turned away. “You have no idea how often I thought about my parents.”
“Does that mean you’ve changed your mind about me or you?”
“No, it just means I haven’t gotten everything figured out yet. For a long time, I didn’t think you were gay. I mean, you were living with a man.”
“And people believe what they want to believe. What changed your mind? Why now?”
“Do you know how many nights I’ve struggled with my feelings for you? Do you know how many times I’ve tried to get enough courage to tell you how I felt?” Jordan walked around the room looking at various objects. “I always preferred my relationships with my girlfriends in high school. In some way, I knew my feelings for you were more than just friendly. But as long as I thought you were straight, I didn’t have to deal with my emotions.” She went back and straddled her. “Drew, I love you. There are lots of things I don’t know, but I do know I love you.”
“Are you gay?”
“I haven’t gotten that far yet. I’m still trying to deal with my feelings for you.”
The words were arrows flung at her heart. Would Jordan have regrets? Tomorrow? Next month? Next year? She wanted to believe Jordan. She needed to believe her.
“Jordan, I understand all of this is new to you, but I worry about what’s going to happen in the future.”
“Why? Isn’t this enough for right now?”
“Because I want to know you’ll be here tomorrow.”
Jordan stood up. “I feel like I’m being pushed to make some decision. Isn’t it enough that I love you?” She paced in front of the couch. Finally, she stopped in front of Drew. “If you don’t care about me the way I do you, please tell me. You’ve told me that it took you a couple of years to figure out who you were. Do I have to go out and earn a lesbian card first?”
If Jordan hadn’t reached up and touched her face, Drew might have gotten through that moment without answering. She turned into Jordan’s hand and kissed the warm fingers caressing her face. As she stood, she pulled Jordan into an embrace, finding the lips that reached in and stirred her soul. “I’m in love with you, Jordan.”
“Can we just deal with today then? Give me time.”
“I can deal with today for now. What is it you want to do today?”
“Take me back to bed.”
“I thought you wanted to go to your place.” Drew laughed at her eagerness.
“Okay, let’s get dressed then take me back to bed.” She reached up and ruffled Drew’s hair. “Now that I understand what my sorority sisters have been raving about, I want to catch up.”
“We don’t have to do it all in one weekend.” Jordan’s words and caresses were reassuring. Maybe she could make a life with Jordan.
“I do love you, AnDrew Hamilton. All this is so new to me—both feelings this intense and feelings for a woman.” She leaned against her. “I want to be with you. I want to make love with you. I guess I can wait until we get to my place, but then I definitely plan on making up for what I’ve been missing.” Drew’s heart was on fire. Jordan’s lips were soft, yielding, and welcoming. Drew felt a tingle begin in the middle of her body and spread through her legs.
“Come on,” Drew said. “Let’s get dressed, because once we get started, I don’t think we’re going to take many breaks.” A smirk slid into place on her face. “I think I’ve created a monster.”
Jordan smiled. “Let’s get dressed and then find out.”
“I guess we’ll figure it out together.” Drew was enjoying this new playful side of her. There were lots of things to work out, but she was sure they could.
Drew walked back into the bedroom. She pulled some clothes out but dropped them on the floor when she saw Jordan pull off the baggy Wyoming shirt. Her body was exquisite. Drew’s mouth was dry. She could already feel those breasts in her mouth. Well, maybe one more time.

Loud banging woke Drew only moments before she heard a familiar male voice issue a warning. “Get decent, girlfriend. I’m serving breakfast in bed.”
Oh, shit. Mark’s back. She looked at the clock and realized it was Sunday morning. She and Jordan had spent almost the entire weekend in bed. She had just seconds to pull the sheets onto the bed and cover herself and Jordan before Mark flew into the room carrying a tray loaded with food.
“I can’t believe we both had the same two days off. We can—ooops. You didn’t mention you had company.”
Jordan opened one eye and then quickly closed it.
“Oh, goddess, it’s the president’s daughter.” Mark set the tray down on the bed and backed out of the room. His efforts resulted in backing into a chair and knocking it into the study desk. This finally aroused Jordan from her deep slumber. “I’m sorry. You’ve never—Damn, Drew, I’ve been after you to give up celibacy, and when you do, you certainly save yourself for the crown jewel.”
“Can we have this conversation later?”
“Mark, hi.” A groggy Jordan pulled the covers up to her neck as she sat up. “I hope I didn’t interrupt your plans.” She immediately pulled the sheet over her head. “Now what do I do?” she muttered. “I doubt my mother’s social secretary has this in her plan book. Ugh!”
Drew put her arm around Jordan and pulled her close. She was amused by Jordan’s mutterings. “It’s okay, Jordan,” she whispered. She turned to Mark. “You brought breakfast. How sweet. Hope you had a good trip. Can we meet you in the kitchen in ten minutes?”
As soon as she heard the door close, Jordan jumped out of bed and looked for the shirt she had been wearing.
“I’m so embarrassed.” Jordan pulled the shirt over her head and sat back on the bed.
Drew sat up. “Why?”
“Mark found me here, in your bed, with my clothes off.”
“You mean because you’re bare-assed?” Drew slid her hand under Jordan’s rear and caressed it.
“What must he think?”
“That we’re having sex.”
Jordan groaned. “Is he accustomed to finding girls in your bedroom?” Jordan shook her head. “I’ve always been such a private person. Now Mark not only knows about us, but he’s seen me in bed with you.”
“Jordan.” Drew was now serious. “There hasn’t been anyone since I came to Gainesville. There hasn’t been anyone serious since my freshman year at Wyoming. In fact, Mark is the one who’s been telling me for some time that you were interested in me.”
“He has?” Jordan tried to hide her face. “Have I been that obvious?”
Drew slid beside her and pulled her into a tight embrace. “It was mostly wishful thinking because he knew I cared about you and he was tired of seeing me alone. And you were the only woman I was spending any time with.” She began to kiss Jordan’s neck and nibble her shoulder.
Jordan groaned.“If we don’t stop soon, we’ll miss breakfast and lunch. I’m not sure I’m going to want to stop once we start.”
“You’re insatiable.”
“Well, I’ve got to make up for what everyone else has been doing since age sixteen.”
“Yes, you keep reminding me. I’m not sure I could last that long. Besides, I have to finish medical school, and this is my last year. You, my love, have at least three semesters left.”
Love radiated from Jordan’s eyes. Drew wanted to swim in them and feel all of the emotion she saw there. She caressed Jordan’s cheek and felt her tremble. “Are you cold?”
“No. I’m just in awe of how good this feels.” She paused but finally asked, “You’re not sleeping with me because my father’s the president of the United States, are you?”
“In spite of,” Drew replied, “in spite of.” She again kissed Jordan, still in awe that Jordan was her lover. Finally, she pulled them both out of bed to dress.
Mark was wearing running shorts and a white tank top
when they walked in. “Doctors’ clothes don’t reveal much about what’s underneath. You’re a good-looking man, Mark.”
“This is too much. I walk into Reverend Mother AnDrew’s chambers and find her in bed with the lately straight president’s daughter. Then the president’s daughter makes a pass at me. Is nothing sacred anymore?” Mark picked up a napkin and fanned himself. “What is a girl to do?”
“Eat,” Drew said. “You won’t embarrass me.”
He shoved toast into her mouth.
Jordan, however, was turning very red. Drew found it endearing. “We’re not embarrassing you, are we?” Jordan turned away quickly.
Mark fluttered around the kitchen, moving food quickly to the table. “Next thing I know, David will want me to get pregnant.”
“I’ll deliver the baby,” Drew said. “I guess it will be Caesarian. I want to write that one up.”
The expression spreading across Mark’s face prompted more laughter from Drew and Jordan.
“Well, at least I know the people hanging around outside are Secret Service.”
“I forgot!” Jordan cried.
“What are they going to think? What are they going to say to your father?” Drew asked but wasn’t sure she wanted an answer.
“Who knows? Generally, they respect my privacy.” She pushed her empty plate away. “Let’s go do something today. I just want to spend time with you. And you, too, Mark,” she quickly added.
“That’s a little kinky, isn’t it?” he asked.
“Not that way.” Jordan put her head in her hands. “Will I ever get used to this?”
“What would you like to do?” Drew asked.
“Anything. See a movie. Have a picnic.”
“Go canoeing!” Drew and Mark replied.
“There are some great places around Gainesville to canoe.” Drew stared at Jordan and hoped she could spend the day with her without touching her. Maybe they should stay in.
“Okay. I’ve never been canoeing.”
“Why am I not surprised?” Drew asked.
